Baywood restaurant is run by the SoDel group. The food is consistently delicious and service is great. We enjoyed our anniversary dinner on Lobster Night. The Lobsters weere 1.25lbs. and delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful. The seasonal decorations are the best in the area for a restaurant.

I've been to Baywood a few times and have to admit this time I was very disappointed. I had the stuffed shrimp Imperial which was dry and way overpriced for what it was. I think the mashed potatoes were instant, no flavor at all. Was at a Sol Del restaurant a few weeks ago and had stuffed Imperial shrimp there and it was delicious. That added to my disappointment tonight.

Made reservations for a party of 10 people including one booster seat. We were given a nice semi-private room on the side. That was the last good thing to happen. The waiter started out taking our drink orders and delivering them one at a time. By the time he got around the table the older kids had finished their sodas and there was no water on the table. We then started ordering dinner and it went down hill from there. We started with the kids menu and it was a the normal burger or chicken fingers except for the 2 year old. She doesn't eat burgers or processed food, so the parents just wanted plain steamed shrimp or plain pasta. The waiter went to the kitchen and came back saying that 4 shrimp would be $16.00 and that the pasta would take 20 minutes to make????? No choice but get the shrimp and pay the ransom. The adult meals were fair at best and some were just bad. I asked for the beef to be done medium rare and it came out well done. When I went to send it back I was told that was the last one and no credit for it. Last time we went it was bad but we figured SoDel took over so lets try it. WRONG

If you like poor service, undercooked and overpriced food this place is for you. Tried twice, once waited over twenty minutes after being seated and never served. Second time food served cold and fish undercooked. Only thing going for I was great views.

I love this restaurant. The views of the golf course are fabulous! The food is great and the service is outstanding. My favourite is the salmon. If you are looking to pair this up with something to do while you are in Long Neck there is a beautiful driving range and a golf store with top notch products for the golf lover, and yes, it's all open to the public!

No doubt this is one of the nicest restaurants anywhere in this area. Its beauty alone is breathtaking and the food is fantastic. They serve the same Menu for lunch and dinner so you have many choices for a big meal or a lite one or just appetizers. Prices are moderate and nothing is overpriced. The food is served with finesse and is prepared in a very upscale way. They know how to treat customers. Very kid friendly. You will leave here very satisfied.

Perhaps Mother’s Day is not the best time to visit and have a meal. What a delight it was to be seated in a beautiful room, however the room was cold and we asked to have the air turned down. The gentleman who was our waitstaff appeared to have little to no interest in serving us. We had very long waits between ordering drinks and them being served. We tried to be patient as we waited for our meal, but the waiter and servers came in and banged tables together to set up for a group of 14. Our food slowly arrived and those served first waited a good 5 minutes before the other half of our group of 7 was served. The food was over cooked and cool to the touch. All of this poor service could be seen by the Hostess and assistants who actually asked as we walked out how our meal was...

St Patrick's Day This was a dinner to make up to my Love, Diane, for her losing a St Paddies Day when she came to Australia. This restaurant is beautifully styled, airy and old world. We had the Seafood Pesto Di Pomodoro & Filet Mignon (with Goat cheese & chive yukon mashers, white truffle butter, port shallot confit, french green beans) Beautiful; we loved it, getting a call from the Maître d'hôtel the next day asking if we had enjoyed ourselves and the meal...a categorical & emphatic "Yes"

Bring back the old baywood. If I wanted to eat at fish on or matts fish camp (which I Love) i would go there. Baywood is no longer special and upscale. Change the menu back to what it was before Sodel tookover

On recommendations from friends, went there for my wife's birthday. We were seated in a small dinning room, because the main dinning room had an 'event'. We were seated , waiter took our order, some appetizers and meal. After we had ordered, two more parties were seated. A party of twelve and a party of four. Our appetizers came in due course, but our meal didn't. The waiter showed up an hour later with the dessert menu. We complained to the manager and while they were trying to sort out our orders, both other parties were served. The meal was average at best, and the service was the worst ever. We use to like Baywood, but never again. Huge disappointment. Worst two plus hours ever spent.

What a disappointment Easter Brunch was. Really poor breakfast choices (bland scrambled eggs), not a bagel or piece of bread in site. And although the salmon and meat station were good, the peas & carrots side dish was close to frozen style. Macaroni and cheese a flop as well. There were however a flotilla of scones and desert cups. Had to hunt our waiter down to get juice (was never asked) and coffee refills were also a challenge. What happened SoDel?

Went with 2 friends for a birthday lunch celebrating one of my friends special day. Service was slow, waitress was fairly attentive, crab bisque was lukewarm, cobb salad was not great- wilted spring mix, very little chicken, a few grape tomatoes a few cubes of tasteless avocado, a few specs of bacon...Really the worst Cobb salad I have ever had. Crab cake my one friend ordered she sent back...too much filler. Other friend ate her crab cake sandwich because she was extremely hungry but said it was not worth it. Not sure what's going on with Sodel, but I hope they get it together soon at this new endeavor.

I have not been here for a meal yet; but, did go to happy hour at the bar. Watched a lot of food being delivered from the kitchen and everything looked great! Some friends and i attended the Girl Scout Cookie Cup and were quite impressed. The building, the grounds and the ballroom upstairs are awesome. I am sure any event there would be impressive. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended ... open to the public!

I had the pleasure of going to Baywood for brunch with my Parents and some family friends. As we drove up I was thinking this is a really swank place. But once inside it was very warm and inviting and not to uppity. I ordered the short rib hash, just wished there was a little bit more meat. The other picture is of the Belgian waffle with fried eggs and bacon. The prices were reasonable for brunch. The service was good. It was cold when we went so we ate in the main dining room. The fall decorations were outside and throughout. I can only imagine what the holiday decorations would look like. I hope to go back in the Spring and Summer to sit out on the patio. The view is AMAZING. I may also want to go back as the bar area was very warm and inviting.

After a day of golfing went to the club house tuesday 18th oct 2016 about 530pm. We ordereda Bud bottle it was stale skunk beer, told tbe bartender and argued that we did not knkw what we were talking about. My occupation is sales with a beer distributor. We ask for bar manager or beverage manager was totally ignored born on datefeb 2016 shelf life is 110 days this js oct 18th well over the sell date. Who is responsible for allowing the beer to be sod to the customer Baywood or the beer distributor not rotating the beer. Needless to say lack of Cooperation was totally the bartenders. Never offered to look for a fresher beer and so we left paid the bill goodbye baywood wont us anymore. Now I will contact NKS to see what their reponse will be. Flat beer baywood

You can't beat the summertime view while dining on the porch... Food is generally very good and service is mostly excellent (and always friendly). This has been a weekly "go-to" spot for us for over 10 years and that's not likely to change anytime soon. If I had any criticism... I wish they'd bring back Saturday evening entertainment!
