I felt I should mention something that I didn't see in posted reviews. When I asked about an item not on the menu, (Baby Shrimp Szechuan in red sauce) they quickly offered to make it for me. The result was wonderful. I was very pleased. This is the best 'family sit-down Oriental' in the immediate area. The staff was curtious and efficient. I can highly recommend this place. Just wish the parking lot was not so compressed.(not their fault.)

Pu pu platter was really good big on a nice platter with fire in the middle incase u want to cook ur food a little more ribs get nice and crispy on there it was really good the boneless spare ribs are good too we had a great time the fried noodles they give u while u wait were really good too they are a little more expensive then most places the only thing I don't like is the egg rolls have shrimp and pork in them together so for people with alergies or that don't like sea food can't eat egg rolls and I like a classic pork fried rice this one has egg and veggies in it more like a home made one

This place is great I you order once and never again! These people are the worst to the regular clients! I have faithfully gone to this establishment for lunch and dinner. Recently they started messing up orders and not caring to fix the issue! I will never again waste my money in a place that cannot fix an issue they create! I ate at Wang some time ago, and yesterday I decided to get some take out. At first taste it seemed bland. Then a lot of subtle, delicious flavors hit my taste buds. It was great! I asked for brown rice, and they gave me a side of very small-grained brown rice, which they also used in the fried rice. It has a very nice taste. If you are near Cromwell or Middletown, in the area between I-91 and CT Route 9, you should stop in at Wang, or pick up some food to take out

Best Chinese I've had in a while! Besides the food being tasty, the staff was so kind. My husband sneezed while we were placing our order to-go and the cashier handed him a napkin (just a simple gesture, but no one had ever done that, heck, I don't even hand him a tissue when he sneezes). We also had our 15- month-old daughter with us and the cashier gave her a paper flower to play with/keep, oh, and they gave her a fortune cookie too while we waited for our order. On top of all that, they told us 10 minutes for our order and it came out in probably about 5, we were like "wow, that was fast". Do I even have to go on? The food was amazing, you should just stop by if you're in the area!

Not satisfied at all.. I asked if the chicken wings were cooked well because I don't like slimy skin, but of course I get the food home and the wings are exactly that. Too slimy, a little pink, not good. Wouldn't recommend the wings at all.

This was my first time here and the food was very tasty. The wait wasn't long for drinks nor for our food and the waitors were pleasant. The staff was very pleasant and ready to serve us. We were celebrating a birthday party here and they were able to accommodate our whole party. I had the crab ragoon and the crispy duck with fried veggie rice. Both were delicious and even plated creatively. Price was normal for a Chinese Restaurant and the menu items were typical too. The only downside I have about this place is it doesn't have much as far as insulation. So if it's COLD outside, you're gonna be cold inside because of everyone who keeps opening up the door. The event room worse as it has a continuous draft coming through it. Overall I liked this place and I would return and maybe even recommend it.

I have been here many times before. On the rare occasion I ordered to go, this one particular time the food was over cooked with a burnt taste and incredibly dried out. When I called to explain to them they would not refund me unless I drove all the way back to them to give them their food. Of course they saw it was barely touched. The manger was an absolute rude (we’ll use the word jerk). Needless to say after giving them my food back and the rude lady, I received a refund. what makes me so mad, she was just voiding the sale on the credit card machine. Seriously? They could have done over the phone. I realize it is rough on business to take every phone call complaint this doesn’t taste good,but what I was paying for Chinese food and the cost of the food not even close what it took for them to make. But that’s the chance you take for going into business, and I was an honest customer. I’m so infuriated. They didn’t even offer to remake it. That would have been just a good.

Just moved into town and already I consider Wang's a go-to place. Very clean restaurant with great food (some of the best Chinese I've had) and great service. I was shocked on how cheap my bill was after dining for 2! Highly recommend!

I'd like this place because they provide nourishment for my son's gecko lizards and leopard geckos as well and we go there very often to get large crickets anywhere from 40 to 60 of them a week to make sure that are lizards and geckos lizards are healthy and happy and are now becoming record-breaking in the state of Connecticut and we have Petco to thank for that so thank you Petco

I've been coming here at least once a month for a year now..nice atmosphere for family dinner or date night, very clean, good service & the food is AWESOME! Right when you sit down you have fried noodles & duck sauce waiting for you & they pour you water right off the bat, BAM food & water first min your there! The best hot & sour soup I've ever had. Most meals come w a choice of egg roll or soup AND it's the cheapest around. I literally don't get how they can be so cheap & SO GOOD?!

Wang is my favorite Chinese restaurant in my surrounding area. The food is fresh. I am picky when it comes to certain foods at Chinese restaurants. Many have what I call rubber chicken. Wang has real chicken.

Ordered some very basic items from the menu such as shrimp chow mein and beef Lo mein. After pick up we took it home which is only down the street. Immediately upon opening the bag and containers an overwhelming odor that I can't even describe began coming off the food, primarily the beef Lo mein. The best way I can describe it would be if you drained the juice from your trash and heated it up. I wish I were exaggerating but it was so blatant that I decided to drive back over to see what the deal was. I asked for the manager, calmly, when he arrived I told him the food smelled absolutely terrible and I wanted my money back so we could call it even. He proceeded to start giving me a hard time telling me some of the bags were open already. I couldn't believe he was even debating with me at this point. He laughed and said that's how Lo mein is cooked. I told him it wasn't open for discussion and to just give me my money back. He still proceeded, asking me how it's even if they cooked the food but it doesn't get paid for, I was absolutely blown away. I told him one more time I wasn't going to pay for garbage and he finally refunded me. On the way home the owner called to apologize for how unprofessional his manager was and for the horrible-smelling food which he acknowledged himself. Im embarrassed for these guys, can't even cook the most basic Chinese food and then make it your problem.

Picked up take out last night. I had chicken chow mein that was so tasteless I couldn't finish it. My wife had general tsau's chicken that was so tough she couldn't finish it. Take out but no utensils. At least $8 more than same entrees at neighboring restaurant but did not include egg role and had plain white rice instead of pork fried rice.

Since Wang opened this has been the only place we get Chinese food from. Great environment, great service, and most importantly.. amazing food! We love this place! Their Crab Rangoons are my favorite! Once in awhile they will come out with free ice cream/sherbert for your table. The crispy noodles with duck sauce on the tables to start is also addicting! And on every table is hot tea. LIke the options of sitting down or take-out. Beats Moon Star (just down the road) any day!

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Connecticut. Brings back memories of growing up in Queens. Dine in restaurant with linen tablecloths, delicious entrees and excellent service. Used to eat here weekly. Have had almost everything on the menu, all good, tend to always default to savory Ta Chien Chicken, because I can't get it anywhere else. I wish I lived closer.

So I don’t usually do these but my experience was so aggravating and I see so many people raving about this place that I had to let some people know my experiences with this place have never been good I’ve tried more then once to try to give them another shot but I won’t be spending my money here again one night I ordered a house pad Thai a sweet and sour chicken and a pork fried rice the sweet and sour chicken looked extremely appetizing until I tried it the meat inside was so tough I couldn’t eat it after 3 pieces a whole dish wasted then I tried the fried rice it was deff not fried tasted like someone boiled some brown rice and put the pork and veggies in after bc fried rice is not suppose to be soggy and bland also so bad I couldn’t finish more money wasted the pad Thai was the only thing that was any good and it was decent at best I spent over $30 on takeout and was very frustrated that most of the food I couldn’t even eat I ended up getting Wendy’s afterward lol that was the experience that made me write a review the past 2 times I ate there were also bad but not so bad I couldn’t eat my food but still frustrating when you pay for food that u don’t even enjoy eating this place is nice and upscale looking but in my opinion a front for terrible food maybe I just had 3 bad coincidental experiences and other people enjoy them but I won’t ever be going back

Like a stepped up version of your regular Chinese take out shop. Better food, better service, they have a sit-down option as opposed to just coming in and getting your stuff, they do pick up orders of course as well, but they do have staff for waiting tables and they are very quick. The food was very delicious, General Tso's chicken was crunchy on the outside like I like it and lightly sweet and saucy with well steamed broccoli, crisp tender, and the Egg Roll that came with the meal was yummy and not greasy at all. Packed full of flavor. Definitely worth going to more than once

I have no idea how this place has this many good ratings. I never leave bad reviews but I have to say this is the worst chinese food I've ever had in my life. I got an order of general tso's and a order of chicken fried rice. The general tso's is squishy and tough to chew. The sauce is spicy with no other flavor. The chicken has hard pieces of cartilage. I have had this type of chicken before at horrible chinese restaurants. I'm literally throwing it away because the smell is making me want to vomit. Never ordering from here again. Disgusting.
