Food and service was outstanding. We had a four course meal starting with a Mediterranean salad with mixed greens, beans, mozzarella, tomatoes and olives. Next Butternut & apple soup or pumpkin bisque soup, both were terrific combination of flavors. And for the main course we had a choice of roasted duck, apple pomegranate glazed salmon and my wife had a vegetarian meal of roasted portobello mushroom stuffed with apple butternut squash. All main courses were delicious. And we ended with a choice of pecan praline tart, traditional apple pie or pumpkin pie. It was an awesome, fabulous experience for all. A must go to restaurant for any event.

The salad order was wrong which I only realized half way through...same salad w different topping. After the chat w the sommalier there I expected more. But it was lunchtime...

Vyne Restaurant was one of the best experiences I've had ever. This night was one to remember, especially with the great service we received by Wendy. The unforgettable food and drinks is what made me a huge fan. If anyone is looking for a great luxurious restaurant in the Middlebury area I definitely recommend Vyne Restaurant & Bar!

Vyne is beautifully done - the ambiance is lovely and very tasteful. I was a bit surprised by the prices of the entrees, but became even more surprised as we waited for over an hour for our entrees to come. While in the end the manager compensated by taking a round of drinks off the bill, it felt like forever waiting for our food and in paying such steep prices for entrees and highly priced cocktails, I would expect impeccable service and timing. The server could have been far more proactive rather than waiting for us to ask what was taking to so long. I would splurge elsewhere based on this experience.

"One visit was Enough" The experience of going to Vyne for Sunday brunch was similar to visiting the Breakers mansion in Newport, RI. The anticipation of seeing the architecture of such a lavish and stunning building is very high. Trying to catch a glimpse of everything from the patio, waterfalls, and the inside of the restaurant can be a bit overwhelming. But similar to the mansion tour, the thrill is gone after only one visit. There's no need to go again. The restaurant is beautiful. Our waitress was very nice and did her best to accomodate us. And the rest of the staff that we met were also very nice. But the food and drinks can use some improvement. We had some highs, but mostly lows thanks to the chef and bartender. I began with the brunch Super Bloody Mary. My drink was topped with a celery stalk, lemon and lime wedges, three olives, a colossal shrimp, and a strip of bacon. The drink itself was good and the shrimp was tasty. But the cold rubbery piece of bacon was nasty and tasted like it was sitting in the fridge for a week. Plus the drink was missing the stuffed cherry pepper. My wife had a regular bloody mary with a celery stalk, lemon and lime wedges, and three olives. We both ordered a second round of the regular bloody marys. This time the three olives were missing. Where is the consistency? The highlight of my brunch was the smoked salmon with capers, artichoke, red onion, lemon vinegrette, dill creme fraiche, cucumber, and flat bread. It was a very good dish. But it all falls apart from here. My wife had the Sunday Omelette for brunch. Goat cheese, spinach, and "sundried tomatoes?" My wife tasted the omelette and then had me taste it. Something was missing. It didn't have much flavor and needed salt. Oh yeah....Where are the sundried tomatoes? Our waitress was nice enough to go ask the chef. Instead of the chef taking some pride in his work and presenting my wife with a new omelette prepared properly. He sent the waitress back with a small dish of chopped sundried tomatoes to add on top of her already cold omelette. Very poor decision by the chef. I had the crabcake benedict. The presentation was ok, but the crabcake had no flavor. And for some reason, there was a slice of canadian bacon that was difficult to chew. The bacon wasn't even in the description on the menu. And why the thick brioche bread? The home fries were ok, but not great. The best part of both dishes was the side of grilled asparagus. As I had indicated in the beginning of my review for Vyne, our brunch was similar to a tour of the Breakers mansion. Looks great from a distance, but the closer you get, the more flaws you'll see and experience.

The designer who did the work did a great job designing the interior but gave little attention to acoustics. This is by far the noisiest lounge/bar I have ever encountered. If you want to carry on a conversation, with friends, you might want to consider somewhere else! When I mentioned to the manager that we would not be returning, he said some people like it noisy. Yea right.. Other than that, the food was fine and the pours were good. We won’t return.

Nice restaurant attached Middlebury Consignment. They have a very nice patio with a waterfall which is great in the warmers months. Food is always great as is the service. Mediocre experience. We went on a Wednesday night and requested seating on the lovely patio. Didn't get to sit outside as we were told they had a wasp issue. Inside I requested a booth but was told that booths were reserved. We were then seated in a table in bar area. The place was gorgeous inside and very new. Vibe of the place was old and a bit stuffy though...over 50 + crowd .playing Elvis music..yikes. Dinner was pricey..not that good. I had a baked cod fish which was mediocre. My daughter had a flavorless fettuccine alfredo. My husband had prime rib..which was delicious. Owner came over to table right beside us and schmoozed them ..asking how their meal was, etc..but didn't even look in our direction. Maybe we just went on an off night..?

We enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch at this beautiful restaurant. We ate outside on the patio. Our entrees were very good. We had the Lump Crab Benedict, Corned Beef Hash and other items. Nice restaurant attached Middlebury Consignment. They have a very nice patio with a waterfall which is great in the warmers months. Food is always great as is the service. Some may consider it a little pricey but I think it is worth it for the quality. One of these days I'll surprise my wife with the chef's table there.

Mediocre experience. We went on a Wednesday night and requested seating on the lovely patio. Didn't get to sit outside as we were told they had a wasp issue. Inside I requested a booth but was told that booths were reserved. We were then seated in a table in bar area. The place was gorgeous inside and very new. Vibe of the place was old and a bit stuffy though...over 50 + crowd .playing Elvis music..yikes. Dinner was pricey..not that good. I had a baked cod fish which was mediocre. My daughter had a flavorless fettuccine alfredo. My husband had prime rib..which was delicious. Owner came over to table right beside us and schmoozed them ..asking how their meal was, etc..but didn't even look in our direction. Maybe we just went on an off night..?

I went here today for lunch, we hadn't been here for a long time. They have done away with the upstairs store and made the whole up stairs into the restaurant. They have a full bar now and a larger menu. The food was good. Nice place to go for lunch.

We enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch at this beautiful restaurant. We ate outside on the patio. Our entrees were very good. We had the Lump Crab Benedict, Corned Beef Hash and other items. We went for our anniversary. The food was very good, the service was slow and lackluster. Very noisey environment making it difficult to talk. The price was on the expensive end ($17 for a cocktail, $12 for a small dessert). Total bill for two people was $170. The portions were not large but we left full with no left overs. I probably wouldnt go back as it's not worth the price, but I'd recommend it if your looking for a nice meal and dont mind spending a small fortune. If the price was more reasonable it would be 5 stars.

Beautiful spacious restaurant with both indoor and outdoor tables. Four of us met for lunch. Service was very attentive. Not very busy when we were there but the buzz has been for some time it's a very trendy spot for good reason. Two in our party had the house bloody Mary which is basically breakfast in a glass, with a jumbo shrimp, olives, celery and two strips of bacon. Impressive. For starters, the smoked salmon platter had a beautiful presentation and was delicious. The lobster bisque was flavorful but thin and had no lobster at all, not even a garnish, so this member of our party was not enchanted. Two of us had Crab Cake Eggs Benedict. The egg was cooked well in that it wasn't horribly undercooked and running everywhere. The crab cake was large and ordinary like most crab cakes. Neither of us finished it. Our friend who ordered the prime rib hash was very pleased and thought it was great. My companion had the waffles with chicken. This dish was fair as we've had better versions of it elsewhere. Definitely worth another visit for its environment, service and the probability that with better knowledge of the menu, it would be a fine dining experience.
