It's great to have good, reliable, and consistent local restaurants to frequent. Breakfast here is always good, no exceptions. The corned beef hash is outstanding and a must have. Eggs and pancakes are cooked properly, as are the home fries and home baked muffins. The wait staff is attentive and the restaurant is well kept and clean. This is a local gem, a nice treat!

We had our niece visiting from Vermont and when she visits we like to try different breakfast places. Today we decided to try Top O the Mornin’. When we pulled up from outside appearances we hesitated on going in. The place is very tired on the outside. I convinced the girls to give it a try. The inside is also tired, looks like it might have been a bar at one point. I actually like places like this and they didn’t disappoint. I ordered a BLT and the girls both ordered eggs, with hash browns and toast. We also ordered coffees all around. Our meals were delivered quickly and all looked great. My BLT was spot on, bacon was cooked just right, lettuce and tomato were fresh, surprisingly. The girls both enjoyed their breakfast. The little muffins were a treat . We all liked the toast. The shredded style hash browns we ok, we prefer greasy potatoes coated in paprika and ketchup. That’s just our personal preference and not a knock against what was served here. Service was friendly, fast and attentive. I like being constantly offered coffee and the staff was spot on. We will definitely be back for try at their other menu items. Again don’t let the appearance put you off, you’re going here for a good breakfast and that’s what you get.

I go to top O' the MORNIN ' about once a week. My ham egg and cheese sandwich was delicious!!!! Lunch specials priced at 5.99 are a great deal. Stef and Terry are great!!!! Ordered eggs Benedict the eggs came well done waited for new poached eggs that took even longer to come out than the meal initially. So they expected me to assemble my eggs Benedict as if I was working in the kitchen very disappointed will not go back there again. But I did pay my$1.90 for the coffee I drank.

One of my wifes and my favorite places to eat breakfast. Slightly pricey, but food is awsome. Should be on "diner's, drive in and dives". Menu is unique, always something over the top on their menue. Don't be afraid to try it, it's always good.

This place has good food quick and good service but is a bit run down and can use a little fixing up. It is the typical local breakfast place with a Irish accent. I like trying the different types of things just to see what they're like. I would come more but the prices are a bit touchy. It is one of those places that could be amazing with the right fixing up and combo plates with better prices.

I was early and it was not crowded so I sat at the bar so not to take up one of the few tables. It seems like 4 sisters handle the customer service and I quickly had a cup of hot coffee in front of me as I looked over the menu. Lots of ideas and went with Pancakes, bangers and hash browns. Food came out quick and everything was hot. I loved the pancakes and the bangers reminded me when I visited Ireland. I did not like the onion in the hash browns. As I was eating the place filled up with a line to get in. It seemed everyone knew each other and that it was a family reunion, very nice.

Very nice room and exceptionally good service. This is a special occasion kind of place. It is expensive for western Connecticut. The appetizers were first-rate and there was a variety. There is a decent wine list and a good selection of cocktails, some inventive. The dessert chef may be the best in all of western Connecticut and probably beyond. I would return for the citrus trio alone. The fish poached in olive oil was very fresh and nicely presented. The beef selection was kind of tough and not much improved by an overly sweet sauce. Still a lovely spot in peaceful Bantam. Oh, yes, there is plenty of free restaurant parking less than a block away.

When looking up a good place for breakfast along our travels to vacation this place popped up multiple times.... when you hear a hole in the wall this place is definitely that! It's very small but it's cozy and the food is amazing! It's homemade food nothing out of a box or can and the prices are awesome! Will absolutely be back !

I wanted this cafe to get four or five stars but the breakfast was ordinary and the corned beef hash was overdone and quite grainy with a lot of tough kernels of meat. It was flavorful. I ate what I could out of the middle of the patty. The coffee was better than average. Certainly better coffee and meal than any fast-food you could get, but that was about it. Not horribly priced but not cheap. Two egg breakfasts with meat sides and coffee cost us $20. That's before tax and tip. A basic egg and hashbrown breakfast is cheap.

A delicious breakfast spot, with standard menu offerings (french toast and corned beef hash are standouts) as well as creative offerings (egg, pastrami , grilled onions on pretzel roll??!) Homemade breads, muffins, rolls and some of their meat is house cured. Love this place! The inside is small and a little outdated, but their food never disappoints. One of our favorite breakfast spots!

This place is the definition of what a breakfast joint should be. You will find your typical breakfast menu as well as Irish offerings. You will also find specialty stuff like bacon cheeseburger or philly cheese steak omelets. Very fair pricing for something like your standard 2 eggs and toast with you choice of meat. Staff is very friendly and prompt. A+ establishment, they have a customer for life

Running errands and was able to just squeak in before they closed for a quick lunch. Ordered the BLT with fries. It was delicious! You may say there's nothing special about a BLT, but you'd be wrong. This one was perfect, as were the fries. Service is always with a smile, even when they're about to close. I didn't feel rushed at all and I'm sure the table of 6 next to me felt the same.
