Finally an amazing breakfast location close to UCONN
Never a bad meal and always great service.
Little pricey and almost took an act of God to get more coffee 3 people at table left like 7 small creamers and never gave us more with our fill up. Sever was friendly, seemed over whelmed. Toast was burnt and pancakes tasted fried??? Second time here, Might come back... but would choose somewhere else first.
My omlet was great! The other 3 people I was with didn't like their food though. Wasn't too keen for the toast either.
My fiancé and I come here a few times a month for breakfast. He absolutely loves the food and I love everything about the restaurant! Great food, good prices, excellent service.
Excellent service...delicious food!!!
This diner is a gem. Delicious, fresh food and friendly atmosphere. The corned beef hash was perfect and all the varieties of homemade bread were fluffy and so scrumptious. Our waitress brought us homemade jam that she made (!) which was the perfect amount of sweet. Highly recommend this spot if you ever in Storrs!
Omg! Best veggie omelette I've had. The toast and homemade jam is a sweet surprise! Clean, charming and very friendly. A must try
Three words, corn beef hash! Right up there with the best. Waitress was so sweet, perfect warmth casualness with the alertness of a professional. The whole place is disarmingly friendly. Surprise was the toasted wheat on the side. Our waitress without any instruction brought it with butter on the side and the most delightful raspberry(not sure) spread that tasted like it was homemade. Will be back for a repeat of that hash for sure. Thanks guys for knowing how to treat customers right and great food to back it up.
Incredible food, fast service.
Very good food and staff, recommend the loaded hash browns
Great services and food.
Nice little breakfast spot near UCONN. Their homemade cinnamon toast is wonderful. Can be a wait on the weekend but it's worth it.
The food here was excellent! Our waitress was friendly and checked back with us several times to be sure we were all set. My husband loves chili and gave them a double thumbs up for theirs
Get better coffee. It's very bitter and weak at the same time. GREAT breakfast menu All inclusive. Nice HOMEMADE scones. Eggs, meat choices, and a lunch menu are great.
Excellent breakfast, not over seasoned!
Very good breakfast and super friendly staff
Food is very good but very pricey
Was about a 30 minute wait but so worth it! First time here and the food was amazing. Wait staff was friendly and fast. Will definitely be back!!!
Nice place for breakfast or brunch and maybe even lunch. Good coffee, too.
Crazy good food every time I come here, and TONS of gluten free options!!! Couldn't be more thrilled to get up early and beat the rush!
Actually does have really good TOAST! The rest was good too
Went for the homemade toast! Definitely going back.
If you ever come the Uconn compus area and need a good place to eat, try the Toast four corners restaurant. The food was so good. Place was super friendly and clean. I was the only Rican in there but did not feel unwelcome or out of place. My waitress did a wonderful job. Thanks Amanda. Keep up the great job.
Cute breakfast place that serves delicious and reasonably priced food!
Delicious!
Great place to have breakfast. I plan on going again soon.
Awsom food and excellent service
TOAST has breakfast on lock down. Lots of menu options, but not so many where you feel overwhelmed. The eggs were cooked as ordered, the bacon was crisp (though I'm sure they can serve it under cooked if you choose), and the toast was served with homemade jelly!
A little more pricey then we would have liked for breakfast.
Toast is now a family tradition. What started as an occasional visit quickly became a weekly event. Everyone I bring here falls in love with the atmosphere and the food. The hash is amazing and they have the best french fries ever. Original review: Great food and service. Very knowledgeable about gluten allergies and has a dedicated kitchen area to prepare gluten free meals. I really enjoyed it and I'll be going back.
fantastic service and good menu. I'm never disappointed with what I order.
Descent place to get breakfast
If you are in the Mansfield/Storrs area and are looking for a great breakfast place look no further than Toast. Food is delicious, staff is welcoming, restaurant is incredibly clean and prices are really reasonable. I highly recommend the pecan pancakes!!
Go there all the time. Love this place.
Great place for breakfast. Nice wait staff, excellent food. Will go back for sure.
Awesome place for lunch. The hamburger filled me up and the onion rings were great!
Great experience! Good food and reasonable prices. Recommend.
Yummy and atmosphere is so cute!
Great food and welcoming and well decorated ambiance.
excellent food, great service, worth the wait
Nice place for breakfast. the food is good and the staff is friendly.
Kathleen is one of the best waitresses ever!
Great food nice place
The food was great and the service was awesome! I would recommend this place to anyone!
Second time there. The homemade toast is delicious, and the homemade jam is great on it. Food was quick and delicious both times. Service was great too
This may be the most homey breakfast place on the face of the planet. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere made it hard to leave. I would give it 6 stars if I could.
Good food, good service. Price is right too.
Very friendly waitress and the food was worth the wait. Everything was delicious and the portions were great!
Cute place, good service but disappointed that they only serve full breakfast till 11:30. Very good breakfast sandwich, salad just okay. Look forward to returning for breakfast.
Sunday's breakfast is great, lots of youngster from UConn, working and patronizing the place.
Excellent food and service
Love the food. Gluten free available. Great wait staff. Cute decor.
One of the best breakfast places around
Went for breakfast with my sisters. Food was okay, nothing spectacular but good. Best part was when we finished eating breakfast and we were still working on finishing drinks - hot chocolate and orange juice - and we were asked to “finish up and pay” so other guests could eat. There was one couple waiting and other seats available. Rude. Not going there again.
Yummy breakfast this am. Happy 4th of July
I stopped here for a bite to eat in between farm visits. Very hearty breakfast options to choose from. Service was good, food came out really fast, and had plenty of hot coffee to drink with my meal. Lots of seating inside and plenty of parking. Acoustics inside were a bit loud and echo-y with everyone talking but when you're near a college campus and there are lots of college kids running around, it's bound to happen. Clean bathrooms and restaurant.
Everything there is great.Food, Staff, Clean, Food is very good.
Great attention to detail, just what we needed
Very nice breakfast spot. Large, clean & friendly. Good sized menu and everything reasonably priced. Fresh, tasty & nice portions. All breads a homemade and hand cut. French toast made with homemade cinnamon bread.
Great food, great atmosphere, good prices.
I don't understand the high praise of this place. Based off what most people had told me, I was expecting some of the best tasting food I'd ever had. Unfortunately what I had was, at best, a mediocre breakfast. The pancakes had no flavor to them whatsoever and their syrup was not sweet or flavorful. I should have known that it wasn't going to be quite as good as people were chalking it up to be because we are in the north. If there's one thing I've learned after growing up here, leaving the Northeast, and then coming back, is that Northerners are the kings of boring food. Do yourself a favor and skip this place #dicksoutforharambe
The food is amazing. Prices are fair. The environment is cool ,cute, and family friendly. Would go again!
The food was pretty good, but the wait was extremely long and the waitress was a tad bit snobby and shamed/ made fun of one of our groups meal order due to his dietary restriction.
Breakfast place that stops serving breakfast before noon? Hmm.
Bacon Bloody Mary and a Turkey Club with more bacon and avocado! Can’t go wrong.
Always delicious food, and amazing toast!
GREAT cinnamon French toast. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good coffee and I like that you can see into the kitchen to see the cooks work. Looks very clean. I will be back!
Good breakfast; food andservice. Breads and jams homemade.
Ordered a rare burger and half of it was raw, cold, and entirely uncooked. I wish I'd taken a picture before they skirted it away from our table. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, we were told that it was just their cook's version of rare. The staff then tried to shame us for apparently not knowing that "rare" means "raw" at their establishment. Not one apology was given and they gave us a hard time when we asked for a well-done replacement burger. After being a dedicated patron to this business for four years (I even own a Toast Four Corners sweatshirt) I will not be returning.
Been to TOAST 2 times now and everything is really awesome. Fast service, great food, and really good vibe. Toast has a very inviting and friendly environment.
Great breakfast. Always packed
Fantastic food, service and reasonably priced!!
Good local eatery with affordable food. Classic diner options and feel.
Can't be beat must have food. Fresh bread daily love this place.
Great spot if you don't mind waiting sometimes
Poor service cold food omelet was skinny. Never going back.
A great place for breakfast in Storrs. Students love this place on weekends. Good food, and waitstaff that is quick to refill your coffee. Pretty cheap for what it is. Try the eggs benedict!
Friendly quick service. I ordered to go and the hostess/waitress was very nice and helpful. The place was clean and bright, good atmosphere. My 3 star is because I have only eaten there once, and I had no sides, just the omelet, was cooked on a griddle, not in an omelet pan. Yes, I am picky about omelets and a flat grilled omelet is just disappointing. I will say the sausage in the omelet was outstanding. If your going to specialize in breakfast, make sure the eggs are spot on no matter how they are ordered.
Good food good prices
My father suggested this spot and he didn't steer me wrong. The setting is homely and the food is delicious.
Omelettes are amazing here!!
This place is very cute and you can really see the community loves it. Watch out on a Sunday morning! The wait is super long, but this is a really great place to eat with your family and friends.
Just delightful. Best corned beef hash I have ever had. Everything I had couldn't have been better. Service was good too. Highly recommend this restaurant!!
It was ok, fries were over cooked massively. Sandwich was what I'd expect. Id give it another shot in a while from now but not in a hurry.
Hands down best breakfast around, excellent friendly service, delicious filling food, homemade jellies, and the majority of the menu can be made gluten-free.
Good food. Good service. Waits are too long unless you go early.
Breakfast was delicious & service was excellent
Awesome place friendly fast service fair prices. Great food.
Our daughter just started at UConn, and this experience was fantastic after a long morning of moving into the dorm. The food was amazing, and the staff was so nice. The restaurant is beautiful and ww will visit again soon.
I have been there twice now and both times were amazing. The food is amazing, very home made, down home kind of vibe with modern, clean dishes. Come hungry because you will leave full!
The food came pretty came quickly. The staff was extremely polite. The restaurant is very clean. I had the french toast and it was okay. There was no hint of vanilla, cinnamon or any real flavor besides bread. The sausages were cooked. The eggs could have had more seasoning than salt and pepper. Nice place and decent prices
Great fresh, local food very busy. Not to long of wait time's happy friendly staff
Very busy place and the food is amazing. Worth the wait to get in to get a table. Homemade jelly and recipes for their waffles and pancakes. They have gluten free recipes as well.
What a great breakfast spot! The wait was well worth it!
Breakfast just like mom would make! LOVE! Will definitely be back!
Great place to eat! The pulled pork omelet is to die for!!
The price is too high for the food they serve. They charge an arm and a leg just because they can
Good place, whenever i go to conneticut to visit my family we always ho here.
Nice decor but watching the "chef" prepare food turned me off. She had a bowl that she was using to beat eggs in...everybody's eggs. She pulled out a few egg shells more than once and did not wash her hands. Plus she was coughing over the food.
Really good service,super great food.
GOOD food,close to home,prices great
Awesome food and service!
Toast has one of the best breakfasts around
Haven't had lunch there yet, but it's a good choice for breakfast and it's a place where people with Celiac can eat. Alot to choose from. Bright and sunny restaurant. Very pleasant staff.
Toast has an excellent breakfast menu, including a number of " The Best of Toast" specialties, like Chicken & Waffle, Biscuits and gravy, and 3-4 versions of Eggs Benedict. There can be a wait on Sunday morning and it can be a little loud. But the staff is great, attentive and very polite. Sandwiches, salads, grilled melts, and burgers round out the lunch menu. The decor is clean and open with a large screen TV on one wall, letting you keep an eye on the weekend games without being the focus of the restaurant.
Great food !! Great service !! Everyone should go !
Excellent food
Wonderful restaurant with the best biscuits and gravy around!
My family loves Toast. Excellent food and really friendly staff. Although this place gets busy, the staff always makes my family feel welcomed. I would highly recommend this for breakfast!
Very good breakfast plus they offer gluten free menu which is awesome. Not a lot of places have gluten free toast.
First time eating here, very popular so be prepared to wait. Food was really good, service was great. Full breakfast menu with lots to choose from.
Great classic breakfast food options and always good customer service.
Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Food was great. Plan to make this a regular breakfast stop.
Great food. Great staff.
When I dined at Toast I ordered a salad with tuna. The waitress wrote down chicken salad and the kitchen served me chicken instead of tuna. I have been a pescatarian for over 10 years. After having a few bites I tried to find the waitress to confirm that I was served tuna and not chicken. She was no where to be seen. I finally grabbed another waiter and asked him. I explained that I do not eat meat and just wanted to confirm. He took a very long time in the kitchen and when he returned he had a cup of tuna in his hand. He said that they served me the wrong thing and asked if I would be okay with chicken. When I told him that the chicken I ate will make me very ill he said they will remake the salad. I wish he had run back out to take the salad away from me instead of taking the extra time to get the cup of tuna. My original waitress then brought me a second salad that was much smaller and sad looking compared to the first. She did little to apologize and said that she heard chicken. I again explained that I would definitely become very ill from this and again she offered nothing to rectify the situation with the bill. When I went to pay at the counter a man asked how it was and I told him the truth and explained that I would get very ill from the meat as my body is not used to processing it. He said “oh sorry” and then slide my credit card for the bill. Nothing to rectify the situation with the meal. After becoming very sick over the weekend, I tried to contact Toast about this. There is no email address listed on their website. So I send a Facebook message. The message was read right away but it took the person a day to respond. They said they will make it right next time I come in (as if I would return). I explained that I am from out of town and was just visiting and then never heard anything back. My advice. Double check your order (especially if you have dietary restrictions) as the staff do not value you here and do not take dietary restrictions or allergies seriously.
I absolutely love this place! My number one brunch place. I love them. Always busy. Remember to reserve ahead if you have a big party. Expect some wait, but it's totally worth it
Real nice local breakfast stop. Real potatoes home fries and home made bread. Sweet!
Amazing breakfast foods, and the best part is they are celiac friendly!
Good service, good prices, good food and a good atmosphere. Highly recommend!!
Had a breakfast sandwich. Great stuff!
Excellent. Homemade corn beef hash is legit, so delicious, couldn't be better. Extremely friendly staff, great breakfast joint environment. Highly recommend.
Delicious Food and strong coffee. Fun decor and ambiance
Being away at schools makes me miss home style breakfast. Toast goes above and beyond, and really satisfies your craving for anything brunch related. The CUTEST decorations too. Love the atmosphere.
Best breakfast I’ve had in CT so far!
Great breakfast standards, toast comes in various choices. All homemade, cut thick and warm.
It was good food, the service depends, my server never came back to check if I need anything I had to ask 2 different servers for what I needed.
Great atmosphere, wonderful service and the food...OMG!
Excellent place to eat and great waitresses.
Brought my family here on a very busy Mother's day and this place was amazing!! The food was delicious; I ordered the western omelet and pancakes and it was out of this world. So glad that we did not waste our money at IHOP or Dennys. This is now our favorite breakfast spot. The service was excellent and friendly and everything was priced right. Highly recommended!
Went to toast a couple days ago-- and it was ABSOLUTELY amazing!! All the food was beyond great, especially the fresh bread and jam. I HIGHLY reccomend it to anyone looking for somewhere to eat- everything was wonderful! The service was amazing, portion sizes were perfect, the menu had tons of options, and it was all reasonably priced! Props to whoever makes the muffins and jam- my entire family agreed its impossible to find better muffins or jam anywhere else. I would go there again in a heartbeat- highly reccomend this restaurant!!!
Wonderful waitstaff, prices are a little higher than others in the area, but food quality and quantity make it worthwhile. Sausage gravy obviously made from scratch brought back memories and a grin to my face. Adding the fresh buttermilk biscuits... Heaven on a plate. Breakfast is served with a homemade jam that has been different on each of my visits and all delicious. Get here before 9 or be prepared to wait. Again, well worth the wait. Highly recommended and good for kids. My 3yo grandson gave the pancakes 2-thumbs up and cleaned his plate. They offer a coloring activity placemat for the youngsters or the doodlers in your group. They can accommodate larger groups but I recommend calling ahead so they can plan.
The best breakfast and it tastes so good. The price was cheap for a lot of food. Look at the picture. So yummy. No wonder it is always packed. Fast service too.
This is the best breakfast/lunch joint I've ever been to! Amazing food, great prices, a wonderful atmosphere and awesome service. Very clean, very friendly, and even on Christmas eve, as a party of two we had less than a three minute wait! Try their TOAST :)
Great food and good prices, and the homemade toast is to die for
Always an excellent breakfast here!
Homemade bread is good, big fan of the cinnamon bread.
Fresh ingredients with every meal !.. tasty...
I went with a crowd of 8, including a baby and a toddler. We were excellently accommodated, coffee tasted great for autodrip, service was fast and friendly, two chefs in the party complimented the meal. I'm a coinnesseur of diner fare and this was by far the greatest biscuits and gravy with two eggs I've ever had. Ham and sausage in the gravy, complex seasoning with deep flavor, terrific biscuit texture, and thoroughly hot and delicious. 5 stars.
My first time in here. Absolutely delicious food, very moderately priced, FAST service. I will be back!
Real food, good service, nice atmosphere.
Wow, the corn beef hash was the best I've ever had!
Good stuff! Classic diner food at a cheap price, and the breakfast was filling. I also got good service from the waitress, and there was no wait for a table (Friday morning). Exactly what I was looking for!
No line. No waiting this morning. We were seated at a bar height table by the front window. My Hubby ordered eggs over easy, wheat toast, bacon and 'white bread' French toast & tea. His only complaint was the French Toast was "blah". It wan't bad, but had no flavor. Even the syrup was boring. Perhaps that why they offer cinnamon swirl toast as an option. He's willing to come back and try that option. I ordered the Florentine Benedict made with spinach. Yum! My side of bacon was delish but the hashbrowns this time around didn't have their usual spicy zing and crispy outside and my coffee was Super Strong! We are talking eye opener! For these reasons we gave them a 4 star rating. Service is always good, polite, and attentive. We'll go back again .
Very very great place 2 eat I love what I call mom pop place have a wonderful great experience every time I go owner is a great guy
Pretty busy on a Sunday morning, but so worth the wait. Food was great, and came out pretty quickly considering how busy it was. Oh, and their homemade bread is delicious! Will definitely be coming back.
I love this place...the friendly atmosphere, the people, the food...all of it is great!
It's a okay place. They serve mainly breakfast items so nothing to complicated but there are other restaurants close by that serve better tasting food. I had the Irish Benedict and there was alot of fat on the meat and was salty. Home fries were burnt. My wife had a omelet and it wasn't full of flavor.
Always great!
Good selection. Prices are decent. I love the people who work there. I recommend getting a "pile" and if they have sourdough bread and triple berry jam, have zero regrets and eat your weight in it.
Awesome breakfast at UCONN with family
Awesome food. Great sit down place. Highly recommended.
Really nice food and atmosphere.
Great Breakfast spot!
Been there more than 5 times, has been great every time.
Great food, breakfast especially! Best corned beef hash ever!
My favorite breakfast place around!!! Atmosphere is adorable. The minute you get thru the doors you will feel comfortable, homey ambiance with bright colors and lots of people. Don't worry, the wait is never that long and the entire meal is worth the wait. Friendly family like staff that care about their patrons and treat them like family. Casual dining and freshly baked breads everyday with homemade raspberry jam. I'm a huge fan of their corn beef hash!! Mimosas and bloody Mary's, from sweet to savory traditional breakfast, and then some. Diverse groups of college students, families, older couples, atmosphere becomes infectious with laughter and makes you feel like you are attending a very large family breakfast!!! Love this place!!
