Unfortunately not the best I've had. Ribs are tough and chewy to the point of being inedible, the beans are obviously out of a can, and the coleslaw is completely un-seasoned and dry. I was looking forward to some nice smokey tender ribs and ended up with a styrofoam box of disappointment and an empty stomach.

I added special instructions to two burgers and a hot dog, Please add onions; No onions were added. I did request no cheese and they got that one correct. I ordered one burger med well, and it was still pink inside. The containers are not labeled as to which burger is in which container. and each dinner was suppose to come with two sides, I ordered french fries for each and did not receive FF with each dinner(4) and two beans and two beets, and only got one beet. Also on the The Rib House menu there is a kids menu, but on Grub Hb there is no kids menu, I asked GH and they said it is up to the restaurant to add it. The burgers were not that special, that I could not get them from somewhere else. Grubhub delivery was fine, no issues. Not happy with the Rib House.

The shorter list would be the waitress was nice and attentive. Start with the appetizers, the crab cake looked like a fried chicken patty and tasted mushy, the fried mozzarella was burnt and bland. The bread for the table cornbread was mushy and ice cold. My husband and I ordered a medium stake and beef ribs, the stake was well done and hardly warm and he had to put a lot of ketchup on it to give it any flavor, his sweet potato fries were clearly fried in the same oil as the crab cake as it tasted like fish. I got roughly 8 large ribs but at best 2 bites of meat the rest was inedible gristle and were luke warm at best. Then we ordered for my father in-law take out of a pulled pork sandwich, as he describes it's not pulled pork more like grounded food and looked like cat food. Taste was indescribable and not in a good way. The meal was WAY over priced for what we got, they seem to try to pull off a fine dinning establishment. If I'm gonna end up paying 100 for a meal I want a dang meal or at least EDABLE FOOD! When we talked and compared to Mc Donald and Taco bell as better food you know somethings wrong with this picture. In the end don't go here, for any sort of food, your time and money is better spent any other establishment. If i could go half or 0 stars i would.

New ownership = total downgrade. Ribs suck!!!! Not tender and sauce is some cheap tangy blend. $11 Nachos were literally 8 oversized tortilla chips with some.shredded chicken and melted cheese. Millenials run the joint so no wonder

Been there once, got delivery once. Great food both times. Servings are generous, prices are reasonable. Pulled pork nachos — great plate but it doesn’t travel well for delivery. St Louis ribs — great. Tender and great flavor. Onion loaf — really good and didn’t get soggy on delivery. Sweet potato fries — delicious even though they got soggy on the way. Desserts are good. Not knockouts, but good But what’s with Grub Hub? We couldn’t get baby back ribs on the app. We called the restaurant but they said they couldn’t fix it. So I couldn’t get baby back ribs! I said that’s crazy. They said, call Grub Hub. Guys: I’m not spending my time to call Grub Hub to fix Your problem. I was going to fix My problem by calling Tolli’s for one of their amazing apizza’s. The Bride wanted ribs so you caught a break. So put a teenager on that app business and keep making those ribs!

I visited the rib house prior to their move to the center of East Haven . Recently had dinner and was very disappointed . Beans tasted like they were out of a can , the ribs were not properly cooked , very tough and dried out , outer edges burned and not edible .. the language being used by a bar patron and staff members created a sleezy bar atmosphere , rather than a family restaurant.. don’t believe I will revisit ..

Food was bland. And dousing your BBQ wings won't hide the fact they are overcooked and dry. And adding some kind of heat to sweet and sour sauce doesn't make it BBQ. Ordered through Grubhub, who suck anyways. I'm sorry, but if I'm dropping over $60 on food, it should all be there. They forgot my baked potato, Grubhub called the restaurant and just refunding the $. You're that lazy you can't send the driver back to get my missing food? Delivery driver probably ate it. NEVER getting food from them again. Money NOT well spent.

This place lost it's touch. When the ONE THING your known for (ribs) takes a total nose dive in both flavor and tenderness it makes you question why? I found out why. new management. the original owners I hear backed out and now the Finkles run it. Hence why Alexis Finkle in the review below encourages you to go there :) keep on getting relatives to make positive comments on a business that's likely tanking not for any other reason other than your food now resembles high school cafe food with steakhouse prices.

If I could do no stars I would. A bar that has ribs on the menu is NOT a rib house two choices only for ribs BB or KC no sauce choices both tasted the same & both fatty and tough. Zero choice for sides no Mac and cheese ,no greens ,no corn bread ,no stewed apples all you would expect at a rib house. Settled with coleslaw and baked beans slaw inedible beans from a can. Don't waste your money.

Ordered through Uber, after phoning to confirm they could accommodate my custom order.. wrong food was still delivered. I called back, was put on hold, the dc'd after 5 minutes, and then addition phone attempts went unanswered. finally drove to the restaurant. the hostess was rude and combative while the owner watched. when my wife responded in kind, the owner only then opened his mouth to say he was calling the police! unbelievable! I said we just want our food. I ordered 2 hours ago! made us wait for the police to come before finally making good. never again. and oh yeah, the food is mediocre even for East haven.

The Rib House I went to is the small to-go option that is across the street from Stop n Shop. I don't know if there's a full size one that I grew up going to but this one a conveinent for a quick beer on an afternoon I needed a cold one. The bar is small with a few tables but they have cheap beers so it works

STAY AWAY this restaurant USED to be good but my god the food is AWFUL the ribs aren't even good anymore and their appetizers are frozen and microwaved. PLUS they gave me dirty silverware and one of the cups still had makeup on the glass from previous use. GROSS GROSS GROSS

Outstanding! We had heard about the Rib House 20 years ago when we lived in Fair Haven. When we moved to Guilford, their reputation had reached there also, as THE ONLY Rib House to go to. We had an incredible meal and a lot of laughs. We joined up with dear friends from Fair Haven a couple of months ago to enjoy a meal there. EVERYTHING was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, just as we had remembered - Delicious food & Fun Conversation, an evening to always cherish Can't do it every day...but when it IS one of those days...there is only one place I think of when it comes to the BEST Ribs, The Rib House in East Haven. (We marked our calendar 2 months in advance to meet at The Rib House and catch up - we were NOT disappointed) :)
