The best breakfast around. Super sized matters served superbly prepared meals. My "Red White and Blue Waffle " was topped with strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream, I did not want the banana with it, but if you can eat bananas, I am sure it would be a an more impressive dish. Service was top notch, quick and friendly. Father's day started very well for our family. A definite go to place anytime.

Went for breakfast. Hashbrowns were much to be desired. I wish the pancakes were light and fluffy instead of hard around the edges with too much powdered sugar. The decor is nice. Menu can use an upgrade with cleaner bold fonts instead of looking like a bad copy job.

Disappointed with the way the staff handles the To-go orders. Twice in a row my breakfast orders were screwed up. The first time by the server that took my order and the second time by the manager that was on duty who packed my breakfast. If picking up your own to-go order, please make sure to open your to go bag in the restaurant to ensure that your order is correct. It will save you time and disappointment.

The manager there is very rude. I witnessed her yelling at one of her employees. That server was my server she was very sweet and walked out very upset. I truly will never step foot in here again. Very unprofessional.

This is a really lovely place. You wouldn't expect it from the outside, but the interior is fresh and modern, the food is really good with lovely details and inventive touches. The omelets are particularly good.

First time we both had chicken and waffles. It was delicious, but sadly too much too finish! This time I had the stuffed french toast which was very good, though I wish the fruit was fresh. The sweet compote overpowered the Nutella. Boyfriend's got the breakfast burrito, which was really a wrap, not burrito, and the eggs were overcooked inside. His home "fries" were also boiled and tasteless, not fried and crispy. We might try again.

Was anxious to try after seeing on Better Connecticut. Will not go back. Arrived around 1:30 for a late lunch. Place is large and open like a school cafeteria and except for one other group we were the only ones in the place. The waitress brought us menus and water and had to hunt her down for everything after that. Service was nonexistent. My wife ordered Belgian Waffles and I ordered Waffles with fried chicken. Both orders of waffles were cold like they had been sitting since breakfast. Syrup was not warmed. After having to get up and hunt down waitress so I could pay we left disappointed. Wish we could be more positive as we always are looking for new and good places but this one falls short.

My order was not right and when I asked her for extra lemon for my water she never came back with it. Again the food was wonderful, but the service wasn't.

Had the chicken panini. The chicken is frozen precooked grill product that is not very good, the roll was good but ungrilled, the fries were very light and had no crisp at all. The pesto was very good. Another had the rib eye. The rib eye was good but the fries were not fully done. The apple fritters were very nice as was the egg plate ordered. Out of 5 meals ordered 3.5 of them were good. The wait was also far to long for a work day lunch. All that and I will go back.

The place not to be! Waited over 2 hours for food and the server was rude and ignored us the whole time. It took half an hour to get water! When the food finally came out it was cold :( they charged me the wrong amount on my check no apologies were made at all what a disappointment

The food here was very good! The decorations were fun, and this restaurant had a good over all vibe. The servers were accommodating and pleasant. The only suggestion for improvement I have is organization. It gets busy during Brunch time, and they have everyone waiting in one area with no list as to who was there first. It is up to the people waiting to try and figure out what order people got to the restaurant.

I went to the place 2 be twice, on both occasions service was all over the place. First visit food took about an hour. My food was almost cold to which I returned and took another 20 minutes to get my food warmed up. On the 2nd visit, service was just plain sloppy and again very slow. The restaurant is very modern and up to date, chairs are extremely uncomfortable for the long wait. I would probably return on a slow day, but not looking forward to have lunch there anytime soon.

Very pleasant experience at Place 2 Be. The food was delicious and very large portion sizes. The staff was very attentive and nice. We came here after reading prior reviews of poor service, long wait times, and dirty food found none of that to be true on our visit. Took about 2 minutes to be greeted and sat which to me is normal and about 5 minutes before we ordered once again that seems like a standard wait to me. Will visit again.

Totally Instagram worthy. Definitely not a place to go if you're looking for edible food. The fried chicken tasted like cardboard. The waffle was wayyyy too hard. My smoothie was more like slushie with too much ice. The omelet was the best part of the meal and it was mediocre at best. Everything looked amazing but nothing tasted how it looked.

You cannot go wrong with this restaurant. Excellent service, great food, and reasonable prices. I went for breakfast, and the food portions were large and extremely tasteful. The ambiance had a very warm feeling, and the bathroom was clean. The server was attentive and answered questions professionally. The owner/manager floated on the floor and also assisted. Very well run establishment. Parking can be tricky so consider street parking if you go. I highly recommend this place.

The food here was very good, and so was the sangria. The reason I didnt give 5 stars is because it took over an hour to get our breakfast after ordering and some of our food was delivered cold. The manager was very attentive and made sure our food was returned and heated up quickly and she continued to check on us throughout the visit. Another issue is the womens bathroom. It is in need of serious renovations. I would visit this place again but earlier in the day.

Philly cheesesteak sandwich was very disappointing, had to be eaten with fork and knife. So couldn't drive and eat like I had hoped. Bottom was so soggy it fell apart when picked up.

This place is mediocre at best. It gives off the hipster vibe...yet DOESN'T have the "hipster" non-dairy options for coffee, they only had half and half...and the coffee was water-downed. I couldn't finish my cup as it was so watery (ended up going to Starbucks for coffee). Another table had two french presses, which probably would've been better and stronger coffee than the "American" coffee that is served with free refills. The portions look huge but the food was extremely disappointing. I ordered the French Toast but it was basically just toasted callah bread that was barely dipped in egg batter. My friend ordered the pancakes and didn't bother finishing them because it was tasteless (not buttery). Ordered over medium eggs for both dishes and the yolks were completely runny. Paolo was our server and he was great hence 2 stars instead of 1...

jesus that was bad. the first thing i noticed was the ketchup bottle with no cap on it and the coffee had grease on it with obvious soup residue on it. not to mention we sat there for almost an hour with no help at all and then we left because who is gonna sit at a semi decent breakfast place for almost an hour with no food or drink? that place sucks

We ordered the Morning Rooster (chicken and waffles) & the Franklin Stuffed French Toast (he ordered w cream cheese) w mimosas. Chicken was crispy and perfect. The French toast was so flavorful. OMMGGG - it was all so fantastic, plentiful portions, it didn't disappoint. We would definitely come back to the Hartford area for this little gem.

We went today, and it happened to be very hot in the restaurant. Some people were asking if they can turn on the AC. But we were seated very quickly. Our server was great. The chicken and waffles were bland. The waffle was great and the chicken was crispy but bland. The home fries are not the best. The shakes are very good. And be prepared to look for parking they do have a parking lot but it's small. They have back and front parking.

First the chicken & waffles are phenomenal. The chicken is seasoned and cooked well and the waffles are good as separate entities. I have been to many places where the chicken is good but the waffles suck and vice versa. But here they are both soo good. Second, the mimosas are off the chain. The peach is soo good. You must do unlimited and try all the flavors. This is my new breakfast spot.

This restaurant is the definition of don't judge a book by it's cover. The atmosphere is incredible, and I would imagine having a coffee and doing work at a table or the bar would be amazing. But I went with my family for brunch and was EXTREMELY disappointed. My iced coffee had no ice in it and was super weak. My "stuffed" french toast was two pieces of dry warm bread with cold plain cream cheese slathered between them. My mother ordered a burrito, that came out super dry, to the extent that she had to use a little bit of butter to make it edible. The most edible thing that was served was my fathers salad, because how could you possibly mess that up. Don't let the hip and cool ambiance of this place give you high expectations because food was horrendous.

Went here for brunch this morning and will likely come back again. I thought the prices were very reasonable. My very minor negatives matched what a lot of the other reviews talked about—parking was a challenge and the music was a little louder than it needed to be—but these weren’t a deal breaker for me. This restaurant took what was a very basic diner/restaurant space and added some modernized decor touches to spruce it up without completely gutting the construction, a smart choice when wanting to bring in a fun crowd without breaking the bank. My boyfriend and I split the vanilla birthday cake shake, which was fun, crazy food art. From a taste perspective, it was basically just a vanilla milkshake but I appreciate the fun decorations to it and was actually a little relieved that it wasn’t as sweet as it looked. I ate what I think was called the morning rooster (chicken and waffles) and they were excellent! They come with a stack of 4 pieces of bone-in fried chicken, held in place with a good knife (so you don’t need to cut with a butter knife). The chicken was cooked perfectly and had a great crispy skin; the waffles had a nice savory flavor with the addition of the green onions. My boyfriend had the eggs burger Benedict; he said the english muffins were a little tough but that gave him an excuse to skip some of the carbs (his words) and that they tasted good otherwise. The hash brown potatoes that his meal came with were pretty basic in my opinion, nothing to write home about but not bad. Overall, this is a breakfast spot worth checking out, even if just for the instagram photos :)

Ordered take out & although my boyfriend and I got similar things the where inconsistent. My omelette was over done his was perfect. My Italian toast was more like two big dry croutons, his rye toast was perfect with a good amount of butter. The only thing he didn’t like about his order were the home fries which were kinda mushed up. The fruit cups look like the fruits came from a can and it was just nothing to impressing. And finally the smoothie, the menu said it was a thick consistency but it was not the case and it separated rather fast. The flavors of the omelette where ok but noting I’d want to order again or suggest.

I was very excited about this restaurant, but unfortunately I left disappointed. The atmosphere was nice and the food was great. The large portions were even better, however the service was terrible. The staff seemed socially awkward with a lack of urgency. The long wait times were ridiculous and our waitress eventually disappeared, never returning to our table. We continuously had to ask other people for assistance. 0 out of the 2 times our waitress spoke to us, did she ever apologize for her attitude. There is a major lack of customer service skills. The staff needs to be properly trained on how to be polite and action oriented. Customer focus is a major struggle for this establishment.

So the last time I was there I had a waitress that didn't know what she was doing ask for water with lemon she brought me 2 slices of rotten lemons and put it on the side of my glass. She forgot my bacon with my breakfast and then she also put the syrup that was in the container on the plate with my food that she brought me so needless to say I wasn't very happy but overall I like that place I just will not be going back to that waitress section. Last but not least it took forever for her to bring my food out we're about to leave when it finally came out.

Very Disappointed.!! My partner an I have been going since they opened an have recommended this place to all or friends an family. Unfortunately that is not the case anymore. The food quality has changed, the service has gone down. We went in to give it a couple more chances after all we did love it here.. unfortunately the bowl of French onion soup was a nightmare!! It was a bowl of Rosemary hidden under a thin layer of melted cheese.. there was no getting around that it just was un edible!!! The place to be" is not the place to be anymore " what a shame.

Terrible. Just outright terrible. Me and my friend went for breakfast on a busy Saturday. I will list everything that went wrong:- > Ordered milk alongside coffee which never came > Butter was delivered after 3 reminders and Hot sauce after 2 > We ordered a classic Benedict instead got the one with Avocado, breakfast got cold as we decided to wait for bacon to show up. > Set of wrapped cutlery had moist gel on it. Ugh > My omelette had a hair which I found out halfway in the meal which killed my appetite. They dint even offer to get us to get it replaced. > Most importantly the hostess offered to take off coffee from our bill to which I told her I dont care as i was disgusted with that offer and she decided it was okay to even charge that to us. I dd leave a tip as a good gesture but never ever I will return or suggest this place to anyone that I know. Your cleaning standards are worse I have ever seen ( check your butter bucket). Not sure how is this place even running and busy.

They Made the cutest just enough plate for my 2 year old but this place is amazing its Like a beautiful big kitchen at Home you can get comfortable with a great crowd full of happy smiles that are satisfied because the amount of food they give you for fair prices is like WOW.....dont hesitate visit this place you wont be upset it was amazing!

it’s freeeezing. food was very nasty (&cold!!!!!!) and over expensive. and to top that .... NO DESSERT MENU. like huh??? what restaurant doesn’t have a desert menu....???? the workers there a nice though... if you want a picture for your instagram page go here... if your looking for a good meal.. go to taco bell.

The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is the loud music. Food here is delicious, and there's plenty of it. Our waitress, Michell, was outstanding...... friendly, attentive, and very nice. I would definitely recommend the breakfast here and will come again even though it's not close to where we live.

Food: Great food varieties for breakfast and lunch. We ordered French toast pancakes and Greek egg benedict. Ambience: For English soccer fans, they play EPL games live on TV on weekends. Service: Excellent service, beautiful waitress, very polite and right on time.

I received great service, and the prices were very good. The food was okay, but presented beautifully. My order was a little cold. I really liked the cute decor and this place has a lot of potential, every seat was filled and it was tight seating so they may have to expand one day!

I first had the chicken and waffles and shake at the local food section of the Yard Goats game. I visited the Franklin location and love the food and atmosphere. Definitely will be returning many times.
