Amazing food - and the specials are always something truly unique! Every time I've been the restaurant seems fairly busy, yet I've never had to wait for a table. Great atmosphere and quick service. This morning was my third visit for breakfast and I was treated to the "Chicken and the Egg" special, everything I've ever hoped for in a breakfast. Fried chicken was crisp (even smothered in poached eggs and creamy sauce), juicy inside, and not greasy at all. I love that many of their menu options feature lots of vegetables, it helps to lighten up a deliciously rich meal. My one negative comment is that the breakfast potatoes were badly undercooked, dry, and needed salt. I can't recall if they were like that in the past, so it may have been a fluke, but I found them inedible. Thankfully there was more than enough food on my plate without them and I already resolved to substitute potatoes for toast next time, as their bread is freshly made in house and incredible! Looking forward to trying out lunch/dinner sometime soon.

So what caught my eye was the attention to detail at this bar. Whoever designed it and found everything to decorate this bar with was spot on pertaining to Thomas Edison. There were two bars to sit at which was great. I assume theres more nightlife here than lunchtime which was when I came. The food was fair but not an omg I have to come back here again to have the...but good spot to eat and have a beer if your in the area

Salmon overcooked and not fresh as they stated. The calamari had more heads then any other parts. Very disappointing after seeing all the good reviews. Even after explaining our disappointment to the waitress whom did apologize. after she explained to management they did not do anything except for look our way. Never going back to this location for there over priced food and poor management.

Our first and will be our only visit. ..the service was marginally efficient even though we were the only customers. The waitress couldn't not explain to my wife the contents of the "shrimp club sandwich" and offered no alternate to plain white bread. When the bill, with errors, was provided, the waitress argued with me even though the menu clearly indicated sides and cost. After having to demonstrate on the menu her mistakes, she grudgingly corrected our check and never apologized. Pricey, for the quantity and quality of food, with a theme "Edison" decor....check your bill twice before paying...jhf

After being passed by a few servers and a bartender I had to ask for a menu and to order a beer. It didn't get a lot better after that. The decor is great and the food decent. I may give it another shot, everyone has a bad day.

While the service was great, waitress was attentive...the food was sub par. Bland, dry...the Brussels sprouts were burnt, and the prime rib, ordered rare, came out dry and well done. They forgot our drink order, and brought us salads twice. Again, nice staff....but we won't be back.

I want this place to succeed so desperately. First 2 visits were for breakfast and it was great. First time dinner had a lamb burger which was tiny flavorless on a massive chibatta bun that completely overwhelmed the burger. Next try was meat loaf with chunks of raw garlic the size of the tip of my pinky with GARLIC mashed potatoes and GARLIC spinach. I left with a garlic taste in my mouth that took hours to subside. The next try was shrimp scampi that every fork full came coated in chunks of raw garlic give coating the fork. Hey I love garlic but come on you've got to give it a little heat to take the raw taste off it. Great atmosphere. Great wait staff. Torrington is desperate for something better than Applebees. This place could be so great but how many tries Do I give you

The pancakes were absolutely huge they were bigger than my head! my friends food look fantastic I can't wait to go back and try what they ordered. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was very eclectic and cool. I highly recommend this place for breakfast, and I look forward to eating there for dinner. This is definitely a hidden gem!

I got the pancakes and bacon and eggs. The pancakes were huge but half of them were really dark brown (burnt). They were very dry and we only got 2 pats of butter. I would have asked for more except our waitress didn’t come back until we were done. We never got refills of coffee until we were done with our meal. The bacon was very thin and about 1/2 a piece. Altogether it probably added up to 1 piece. We ordered a kids portion of sausage links for our son and it was almost $3 for 1 link. The guy next to us got blueberry pancakes and it was black. It was disgusting looking. His wife was done with her meal and he didn’t even touch his. Again no waitress came back to check on them. Shame on them for serving burnt food. Bad service. Bad food. The sausage was good though.

Edison Grill is quite unique with it's Décor and atmosphere. Their weekly specials change every Friday and offer plenty of variety on top of their extensive menu. They also feature a good selection of beers that change relatively frequently. Portions can vary, but tend to be on the larger side....so bring your appetite. They have great breakfast options which are only served on Saturday and Sundays until around noon-1pm. You can't beat the staff there....service is always top notch! (the photo with this review is their meatloaf sandwich with a fried egg, which is amazing. I opted to substitute their house made potato chips for broccoli, but the chips are very good too!)

Hidden gem! My husband and I ended up here because the location we attempted to go had nothing to offer vegetarians. We were lucky that Edison Grill was right down the road. Donna was our server and she was warm, welcoming and accommodating. My husband, who is very picky about his veggie burgers, loved the veggie burger they served him. Donna also made it very easy for me too create my unique salad. I often experience challenges when a server doesn’t grasp the concept. She let me pick from each of the salads on the menu to make one that was perfect for me. And it was delicious! Facility was clean and entertaining with all the Edison memorabilia. We will be back!

The Edison Grill was very good, especially if you like to drink they have a huge selection to pick from. For dinner i had the " popper burger" it was great came with french fries, but you can switch it to sweet potato fries for $1.50, which was definitely worth it. I would definitely go back...

Cool little restaurant with lots of Edison memorabilia. The pancakes are massive, eggs were perfectly cooked. I like that the potatoes are nice and soft on the inside with a nice crisp skin. Can get crowded but the wait is quick. You can always sit at the bar. Wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Had dinner here, burger was good, the pretzel appetizer was yummy.

Even though they mixed up the " how would you like your burger cooked ", my light pink was over cooked, and my wife's "medium to well" was under cooked, the freshness and quality, and taste of the food was excellant. They offered to comp dessert due to the mistake. The crowd was mainly 50 and up. The environment was clean, and pleasantly decorated. Portions were large, and even the coconut cake slice was more than ample to be shared by two. The French fries were perfect, fresh, and had good flavor. We will return for their Wednesday night (starts at 4 pm) pasta special, which is not just a pasta and meatballs dinner.♡♡♡♡♡

For $17 burger and sweet potatoe fries I would hope that I'd received more than 11 fries and that the burger wasn't still mooing. Ordered medium rare and one of them was completely raw. The meat was cold. So my boyfriend drove all the way back down there, while I stayed home and ate my 11 measly fries with my small children who needed dinner asap, to get a new one but they didn't offer a gift card or discount on next order for our inconvenience. The server literally just sat there and didn't even offer a damn glass of water from my boyfriend's journey back over! Disappoinment. And my boyfriend are dinner alone... terrible take out night. I used to love Edison and the coconut cake...

We had a couple drinks at the cozy bar. The bartender was super friendly and skilled. The food offerings looked and smelled fabulous. Wednesday night is "home made pasta night" where everything is made there includng the delicious sweet sausage. We'll be returning soon

We went to The Edison Grill for the first time this past Saturday and it was such an amazing experience. Our waitress, Paulette was professional, experienced and gave us service with a smile! The menu offered such an array of new breakfast combinations. We were so impressed we have already made plans to come back a few times to try other things on the menu. The taste of Eggs Benedict with Zucchini Cakes was sensational. I definitely recommend this to anyone who doesn't want just "ok" service and food and for those who are tired of the same old thing. This will make your day a much better one!

First Visit; Very Pleased! 5* .. Warm Welcome from Walking In Door Beginning to End. Greeted By Same Server, and Opted for Bar Seating. Originally Came in for Drinks & Dessert and even had Entree.
