I really enjoy this restaurant. I eat here every time I am in town. It is very clean, and the servers are great (especially the guy server. He is great). The only issue I have is the limited lunch buffet. They serve the same eight dishes. I eat at other indian restaurants, and they have so much more.

Swad Tandoori is likely the best ethnic restaurant in the New London area. They have a wide selection of dishes, ranging from vegetarian samosas to meat (chicken/lamb/shrimp) Tandoori. Everything is delicious, authentic, flavorful, and fresh!!! Make sure to go and try lots of different dishes. I'm surprised it's not busier - perhaps people do take out...but they have an incredibly friendly staff and the owner/chef is super kind and welcoming, which makes it such a treat to dine in!!! 10/10 would recommend this spot for lunch or dinner.

Our first time eating here was such a pleasure! Friendly server and outstanding food. Tried a couple of new-to-us Tibetan dishes Momo (beef dumplings) & Tingmo (steamed buns) and enjoyed them very much. The lamb korma was complex and delicious. We also tried the paneer pakora, samosas, and garlic naan, all so good. We joked that next time we will have to sit at a larger table because we like to try several different dishes. Prices are good, especially for the quality of the food. We will be back.

My first time for this food.... it was delicious. I had the chicken tikiki marsala.... and the waitress ask how spicy, and opted for medium. It was delightful. Served with rice, chicken chunks, and a golden sauce that had kind of sweeter flavor than I had anticipated. It was not too hot, so perfect for me. Prices were very reasonable for such good meal.

Our meal was delicious! Naan was soft and flavorful - definitely recommend. I ordered the paneer in masala sauce mild and I could've gone spicier. They were very cautious with the spice levels which I definitely appreciated, but will go with a medium curry next time. Service was quick and the food was top notch. Will definitely visit again!

Focused and yet diverse menu with familiar options and new delicious things to try. Perfect for dates, office get-togethers, and business meetings. Love the food, atmosphere and cleanliness of this place. The chef and staff are the same as when it was Northern Indian Restaurant. Everything is made fresh from high quality ingredients. The menu takes time to explore and I have yet to be disappointed with anything I have tried.

If you are vegan eat here. Chef is great servers are great and food is outstanding at a great price. Rice always cooked to perfection amd chana masala is the best i have had. These guys know vegan even though they dont advertise it.

Whenever we visit the parents in Mystic they insist on taking us down the coast to this New London institution. Though they can never remember if it's Indian, Central Asian, or Tibetan they (and we) remember it's a marvelous restaurant. Service is impeccable and the curry rice dishes excellent!

This was excellent. We really enjoyed the environment and the host. The food was freshly made and delicious. I had the lamb vindaloo and asked for it to be spicy - it’s uncommon that I actually get something spicy but this was nicely hot. Understand that i like more spice than most; so, be judicious if you ask for hot :-) The paneer was also really well done. Often paneer comes out being rubbery, but this was soft and nice. I wish that i lived closer so that we could come here again.

I LOVE this place, eat here almost weekly as do my friends. Fantastic service and the food is phenomenal. I order the chicken Buna as their tikka masala is a tad sweeter than I personally like (probably a regional thing) they have outdone Mirch Masala in Groton as my favorite resutrant (best saag paneer EVER)

Quaint space that serves delicious Indian and Tibetan food. The Chef Nan and Chicken Tikka Masala is quite the dish. Staff is really nice and service is rather quick. Would recommend for lunch/dinner or small meetings.

Worst food ever. Chicken was not half cooked and the chilly chicken was from Mars it seems with gravy. I Mean how can chilly chicken be like a regular gravy chicken. Garlic Naan was just two small pieces of Nan Bread. Upon Calling up i was met with attitude. 50 Bucks down the drain.
