Very nice pub with a great atmosphere. Table and bar seating available, and a small patio out front for a relaxing summer dining experience. The ENTIRE staff was pleasant and friendly, which added to the feeling of being at that neighborhood hangout we all look for. Nice selection of beer on tap, and the food coming out of the kitchen looked very good. The pork shank was indeed very, very good. I'll definitely be going back!

Honestly speaking, if I could give this place 6 stars, I would. I have not once had a bad meal or drink here and I've been coming since they opened. The Sitting Duck is easily in my top 2 favorite restaurants in the area. The only thing I don't like on the menu is the Mushroom Risotto, and that's because I don't like mushrooms, but I'm sure it's delicious. Regardless, make your way over for some good food, drinks, and a unique and fun atmosphere.

Food was good but the waiter was pretty poor, we asked a question about a menu item and his reply was" I dunno no ones ever ordered it" we would have ordered another drink but he dropped the food off and we didn't see him again until he wanted to give us the check. Tap beer rotates frequently. Good deal on Mondays- $3.00 drafts. Haven't eaten there lately but, as I recall, it was pretty good. On this trip the burgers smelled great.

Thrilled to find this place. We heard it was a hidden gem so stopped by to try a few dishes and will definitely be back again. The beef tips were incredible and I'm not even a beef tips person. We took the bartender's recommendation and were very glad we did. We also ordered the loaded chips - wowza!!!

Went on a Sunday night for 1/2 price bottles of wine, which is advertised on their menu, and was promptly told that in order to get those prices I had to buy an entreé. Rather than honor this the bartender decided to loose clientele. Their location in Trumbull however has never required us to purchase an entreé in order to get the promotion.

The food here was great! I love finding places like this when I travel. I had the duck wings, some sort of fried cheese (Brucatta I think?), and the double bacon mac and cheese. Everything was just phenomenal and the waitress was very friendly. I'm probably heading back before I leave town to try more of the menu!

Sitting duck tavern has established itself since the Lion's Den occupied the same space in the late 80s, early 90s. This restaurant/bar has a great vibe and food to match. One of the bartenders, Darren, is very friendly and happy to serve. During the summer the partition to the outside is opened and seating is available on the patio. There is also an upstairs dining area which is a nice touch. The bar however, does not have many seats which causes a bit of a space issue when it gets busy. Overall, the Sitting Duck is a nice, classier place to drink and dine.

My son had been there once before and I had to try it. He and I went for lunch and I was greatly impressed. The atmosphere is very warm and cozy, staff was excellent and accommodating and food prefect. Dont normally get dessert but had to try that too, and it was another win

Terrible service... Waited for 10 minutes to be acknowledged at the table despite the waitress walking past me multiple times. Maybe just this waitress??? Food was good but not Rockstar status. Had wings and they were cooked perfectly but the flavors were flat or not flavorful, ate 3 of them and called it quits Really really wanted to like this place since I get points for eating here and it had been rated 4+. This is a 2 star restaurant in a 4 star wrapping. Will not come back.

I'm in town for work and have eaten here twice in the last week because it's SO GOOD!! Perfectly buttery lobster rolls were on special one night and on the other night I had one of the best burgers of my life (and I explore great burgers everywhere)! It was just a basic black and blue burger, I had to ask for lettuce and tomato since veggies on burgers is unusual here, but the meat was so juicy and flavorful - I couldn't put it down and I was sad when it was gone. Just writing this I feel like I need to go get another one. The atmosphere is great too with its old brick tavern feel.

My experience was awful!!! We waited at our table in the bar area for 20 minutes and then had to ask for service. When we asked the bartender if we could get service where we were sitting, she made a disgusted face and said "sure." The food was less than mediocre. We did the restaurant week menu and the best thing was the pretzels. The sirloin was tough and the chicken Marsala was eh. Desert was ok. By far the worst thing was the service. Absolutely horrible. The topper was the one(1) shot of patron tequila that I ordered that we later saw on the check cost us $25!!!!!!! Mind blown!! I will never recommend this place and never go there again. Beyond disappointed!!

I have eaten here a few times and it is always hits the mark. One of the outstanding things here are the fries. I don't know how they make them but they are outstanding. Last night we started dinner with the bavarian pretzel which was great. The Cheese sauce was excellent and the pretzel wasn't too salty. For dinner I had a Chicken Parm which was served on a Ciabata roll and it was pretty good. They didn't use too much Cheese. It made me realize though, even though I haven't had a cheeseburger from them, I would bet dollars to donuts it is amazing.

Everything looks amazing in photos. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing. Maybe takeout is hit/miss. Idk but I ordered the fish tacos.... and I can not stress enough... I really can’t... how absolutely DISGUSTING these tacos were. I looked past the flour tortillas because not everyone does corn. Wack, but no biggie.... flour tortillas were my first love... but when I say the fish was so dry and chewy, it was like a chicken tender... or that the toppings that were supposed to be fresh veggies and pickled onions... literally tasted like a spoonful of old guac - I’m not mf kidding. I was mortified. I took one bite and literally could not continue because it was so obvious the ingredients were OLD AND PAST THEIR EXPIRATION and should not have been served. The after taste was horrible. I was completely disappointed because I’ve wanted to stop by for months because of the photos... it’s unfortunate.

Recently went in for dinner and when I walked in no one was near the host stand or even aware if anyone could walk in. I waited for about five minutes. Walked over to the bar section which was completely full. Then after a group of people left I walked over and sat at a table and organzied and cleaned it up and sat there with an open mind. After five minutes, I wondered if no one notice I was new to that table. I again walked to the host stand and stood there for several minutes before leaving. I have not been to this location before, and do not know if this is a constant thing, but I was frustrated. I now have to go somewhere else.... After reaodng the other reviews it doesn't appear this is a normal thing, but I feel this was a little obnoxious.

"Intimate" would be a good way to describe this bar. The aesthetic wasn't really my cup of tea, but I could see how people might like the cramped setting. I ordered a Black mule, and the fish and chips. The black mule was a little boozy for my taste. I know, I know, the more booze the better right? Meh, to each their own. The fish and chips were delicious, the fish tasted fresh and light, and the breading was almost sweet. Two thumbs up for me. All in all, it's a decent restaurant.
