My family and I went in on Saturday night I ordered the Mexican trio it’s a big plate so I took the rest home so I am eating my lunch today Monday for lunch and I feel something hard and thin so I take it out of my mouth and I noticed it was a piece of metal I called to ask if they used metal brushes to clean the grill and the guy “Edwin” (I think he gave me a fake name) goes on with an attitude to tell me they cook there chicken in bags and bake it. So if the chicken is baked why does it have grill marks??? I called as a courtesy but the guy was incredibly rude said well next time eat all your food in the restaurant what do you want me to do now! I said I didn’t ask you for anything I am calling to let you know so you guys can do a better job! Also you guys have terrible customer service everyone had an attitude and thing is we where super nice and polite!

Disorganized, noticed waiter was getting people drinks incorrect. Food was okay, I had fish tacos but the tortillas was cold. The pieces of fish was good with the pickled onions. Most likely will not go back, or recommend.

Food is very good. Happy hour specials worth the trip. Great bartenders. Just a update I have been going there regularly for a year now and the 5 STARS are still valid. The consistency of the food orders is excellent. The only negative thing I can say is I'm not a fan of there salsa.

Victor the server is horrible!! He didn't greet us, our orders was wrong, he didn't check to see if we needed something else, we asked another waiter for containers and to go boxes. I told the hostess that the service was horrible and she didn't seem to care. I will never never go back!!! The food was mediocre, not worth it all.

I will never come here again. I went with a friend that i haven't seen in a long time, we we're not greeted when we came in. The customer service was terrible. For my food to be 20.95, i wish I could have gotten the meat that i paid for because my dish had nothing but onions and mushrooms on it. I purchased a drink that had orange flakes floating in it, asked for a different glass, waitress came back with the same one like i wouldn't tell the difference

I was just there and left because waiters seem like they hate their job. Left us at the table for more than 15 min and we were never were served. Waiters walking by us and no one stopped to take our order. The people that were in line before us also left due to the poor service. Now we know not to go there on a Wednesday night. Very poor service

DONT ever go this restaurant! The STAFF is very rude. The hostess in general is very rude. I was taking a look at a menu since apparently their was a wait of 20 minutes for 9 people which is understandable. However, I figured hey why not look at the menu so when we all sit down we can order right away. She snatched the menu from my hand claiming it was dirty and not allowed to touch it. She then sat down a group of 4 girls, another group of 6 and then 2. Which if I’m not mistaken that’s 12 people. I then went to the bathroom and saw there was a bunch of tables open. My concern was mainly why we weren’t getting seated. She then said they were low on staff. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! The HOSTESS should not be working there if you want the business up and running. You don’t EVER snatch something from a customers hand. I wish I could’ve caught her name. She was very rude and unprofessional. They lost 9 customers, we all went to a restaurant called MEXICO TÍPICO! Which is AMAZING!! Ten times better customer service and food than PUERTO VALLARTA! Mexico típico is only down the street! I would suggest it!

My husband and I went there the day we got married. We didn't do anything special that day, but the staff there made us feel so special.... they gave us a little cake decorated with a heart... that was so sweet. We have been there many times and I never had anything negative to say. The food is the best around this area. The prices are good and the staff is super nice. LOVE THIS RESTAURANT.

So nice did it twice. Had 2 unexpected d days off of work the first day we went to the restaurant for lunch we got there different specials for awesome and they still gave you the bottomless chips and salsa. The next day I was meeting a friend for lunch and she wanted to go somewhere different so I suggested Puerto Vallarta and found myself there once again had the chicken fajitas for one amazing questions will go back soon just waiting for another excuse service was good restaurant is clean and at night I'm not sure what night they do have the amazing Mariachis

This place has huge portions of delicious Mexican food at a reasonable price. Their chips and salsa are great, and the tableside guacamole is a must. The chili con queso dip is also a great starter. The place has a nice vibe and good ambiance. The burritos from the lunch special menu are enormous and smothered in good sauces. I was disappointed with the rice-to-other fillings ratio in the burritos, however, and next time will specifically ask for less rice in the burrito. They claim that their rice and beans are vegetarian, which is a plus. They also have white rice instead of Mexican rice available. Puerto Vallarta is a good place to get Mexican food in Orange, CT, especially for lunch specials.

I just called to confirm a reservation I made over a week ago for my daughter's first birthday. The manager hung up on me and refused to accommodate me even though I explained that a reservation was taken and the person who took it. I remained respectful and calm through the entire transaction. However the manager immediately met me with hostility. I eat at this restaurant several times a week and frequently have date nights there. I will never return to this restaurant. I am so saddened to be treated this way by a place I enjoyed so much.

I go here whenever I can from not too far but Stamford Anyway, going there for andan early dinner before the Yankees play, after 10 days hitting up my favorite spots in San Diego, and I already know their ceviche, guacamole and margaritas will be right up there no chance of a let down.

If you're looking for ACTUAL authentic Mexican food, this is not the place. The food is okay, the service could be a lot better. Called to make a reservation for a family of 12 and when I got to the restaurant I was told no reservation existed and was told that I had to wait an hour and half. The manager ended up accommodating us but the service was still really slow. Our waiter was awesome though he tried his best.

I would leave no stars but we are unable to do so, this place has gone downhill from when we had come here last. The food claims to be authentic, but trust me it’s far from it. It looks American made far from authentic the quality is not good. The service at least what we had experienced was terrible including the manager who was in charge of the shift at that time. I can say we will never be returning if you are looking for real authentic Mexican/Latino food look elsewhere

Good drinks, I just never have a good experience with their food. I like Mexican food but theirs is just always a little funky. And the place smells like rotten toilet. My first visit, I thought it was a bad day but I returned for the first time in a few years and it smelled the same. There's just no flavor in the food and I always end up face down in the toilet after eating here. Only giving 2 stars because of the drinks and staff is pretty nice.

Waiters don't know any language at all- def not English, and Spanish is question-able. I went on a Friday night and asked if I could have a burrito on the menu with shrimp instead. Waitress came back with a tortilla wrap stuffed with only shrimp. I even told her in Spanish, she was just not smart.

I went with my family 3 adults and three kids and we ordered 3 margaritas for the adults and they wouldn't sell it because I didn't have an ID and I asked to speak to the manager because I'm constant customer and the manager comes and asked how old am I. I tell him 35 and then he asked me my date of birth. I told him September 26/84 and he told me that I'm not 35 and I'm 34 so he accused me of lying and for a moment I thought it was a joke and I went there with my three kids and I don't look too young and the other two adults were 39 and 35. And the last question I asked is if he would sell me the drink and he said no. I told him I was gonna leave cause he gave me a lot of attitude and he says ok just leave.

Very good restaurant with authentic Mexican food. I only had one issue. I had order a chicken burrito with veggies and whole beans. The burrito did not have the veggies, and the beans were refried not whole. The waiter had told me that because they were rushing and veggies were cold they did not add them. He did take the burrito of my check. Overall good food

Service here is subpar. No one has checked on us during our meal, and now sitting here for 15 minutes waiting on the check. Never mind the fact we were shoved in the corner with a wobbly table that’s not even as long as the booth. I feel like I’m in time out. Will not return. Too bad, I just moved to the area and am looking for comparable restaurants to what I’m used to. Will make the drive to Guacamole in Branford.

Normally, this is our go-to Mexican restaurant. Tonight, we waited 1/2 hour at a table before anyone even came to take our drink orders (no one did). When my husband went to tell them that we were leaving, then just said "oh, sorry about that." Not ideal when you have 2 hungry little kids.

Have tried many Mexican restaurants in the Milford/Orange areas. This place by far gave me the best experience of all. Their customer service is excellent too.

We were in the area and ordered take out for a large group of people. We mistakenly didn't check the bags for our $130 order and got home only to find condiments and chips and salsa. We gave them a call and let them know what happened and we would be back to pick it up in 30 minutes as that was how far away we were. The woman that answered argued with us that she gave us our food and said we were lying. We told her to check the cameras because she did not and she even hung the phone up on us! After calling back and not realizing we speak Spanish she was caught out telling employees they messed up even though she was trying to tell us we were lying. We went back to get the remaining food but we probably shouldn't have and just took a refund instead. Totally not worth the headache and rudeness. There are so many better places around! We learned our mistake ordering there!

This place has potential. Drinks are good and service is decent but in all honesty, the food quality is what gives this place 2 stars. We ordered the steak, taquitos, a chicken quesadilla and a chimmichanga. There was absolutely no flavor throughout all these dishes and I'm pretty sure the chips they give you aren't fresh. This isn't the first time I've eaten here but it may certainly be my last.

Waited 20 mins to be seated and the best thing we ate was the chips and salsa.....the food had no flavor, the beans were hard like they just poured them out the can and I couldn't tell the difference between the enchilada and the burrito, they both tasted the same wrapped in a soggy tortilla and the waiter checked on us once....ill never go back

Food wasn't as good as I was told it was. Got a pork dish that I was told was very good and popular. One skinny slice of dried out meat, blackened onions, skin and all and 3 or 4 pieces of potatoes. Tortillas, store bought, were nuked for a second. Just pitiful....

We went here one evening when it was cold out, and the place felt like it had no heat on,and it was early in the evening. The waitress that took care of us was told 3 times what we wanted when ordering and she acknowledge us,and she still messed are order up, and the place was not even busy.. I will stick to take out, it seems they always get that right, and I got that good heat in my car.

Drinks and food was terrible. I orded a garlic butter shrimp with chipotle sauce and I got only shrimp in chipotle sauce. The shrimp was full of sauce. My husband does not eat meat and felt sick from his salmon as if the same spoon used to cook meat was used to cook his salmon. I ordered a passion fruit frozen margarita and it taste like glass of lemonade with ice.
