This Restaurant is classified in the category of Indian restaurant.
I love this place. We visited on Sunday and enjoyed the Tandoori chicken thoroughly, it is the best I've had! The owner allowed us to sample the buffet as well, our boys were thrilled and even tried some South Indian dishes they'd never had before! Such kind people and such tasty food.
Great food and amazing service, it's worth it.
Worst Indian dinner place. Their lunch buffet is good but not dinner A la-carte. Food was cold and was tasteless.
I ordered Navaratan Corma and found a lamb piece in it. When complained to Priya they agreed that it was a lamb. Please be careful while ordering food from Priya
Average Indian restaurant. Nothing too fancy. If you really want to have Indian and don't wish to drive behind a mile, then this is your place. There are plenty other options in the town.
Tasty food with exceptional service
I love their goat biryani!
Solid Indian food, fairly spicy and diverse menu. Chaat night on Wednesdays and the weekend buffet are worth going to.
My BEST BEST EXELLENT INDIAN PLACE FOR 8 YEARS
I was born and spent 21yrs in Chennai, India and been in US the past 32 years - widely travel in all 50 states, many EU countries, and few trips in far east and Australia. I am fusion foodie and an expert in Indian food - Every place I have eaten in over 1000 indian restaurants globally. Priya is one of my most favorite and is in my Top 10 places to eat Indian food. I eat there 2 times a month even though I can cook as good of the same quality food! The secret is their "6 sigma" consistency! The owner Prabakar is a perfectionist and listens to the customers!!!
The atmosphere and food here are amazing come hungry plates are huge and food is very filling
I’ve been here many times. Quality of food and prices are pretty good. They have great customer service. They serve best buffet in the area. We’d chat buffet (on Wednesday) and dosa buffet (on Sunday) and they have lots of varieties starting from entrees to desserts. They also serves awesome biryanis. It’s totally worth of money!!!
Very nice food. Had a lovely time here
This place is awesome. Even more so if you get to check out the daily buffet. The buffet changes daily, so if you were to come on Monday and again on Wednesday, you will get to try a lot of different authentic Indian food. Great place to take people that I've never had Indian food before because of the variety.
I loved the food and service, getting indian food in the US is not so easy. Some minor mistakes can be forgiven. Being honest we can't look for perfection in everything. I enjoyed the food here. I have been to this restaurant few times, the staff are friendly and lovely ambience.
Great customer service, great food
Good South indian food
It's good south Indian restaurant with few north dishes too. It has moderate spice level and tastes really good and suitable for both Indian and non Indian . Also, it has a good count of dishes and all we're tasty . The price is reasonable . The place is clean , quite and easily spottable
Good Buffet on Sundays. Large Variety of Food
Very nice
Good Indian food at reasonable price
The best Indian buffet
I will say ok food. The food I thought was highly South Indian oriented food hence I did not appreciate much. Having said that I loved the dosa being served with buffet. I loved the lamb with dosa combination.
Awesome food. Vegetable Biryani is too good and the Dosa night was also very good. Very good service too.
This is the best Indian food I’ve ever had by far. This restaurant makes some of the best Indian places look bad. They have some of the most authentic Indian food around. Absolutely delicious!!
This has to be one of my favorite place to have Indian food. All dishes I tried are delicious, spicy with true Indian flavors. Lot of south indian dishes during buffet. Removing one star for the overpriced buffet on the weekends.
Delicious food at a surprisingly affordable price. They also have good service and yummy cocktails.
By far the best Indian buffet and Cuisine in Connecticut!!
I never had Indian food before coming to Priya, and now I love it! Food is amazing!!
Best Indian restaurant around. Especially South Indian.
Family style space, authentic Indian cuisine. Pleasant staff, reasonable prices and really delicious food!
Great food, must try.
Best Indian Food... Try their Sunday buffet!
seems the chicken was from yesterday leftover but staff claimed its fresh. they try to be nice but they are bad in services. don't waste your money and time for such a bad food, better eat street food.
Good Indian restaurant for authentic Indian taste
Delicious. Reasonably priced
Great indian food in the Rocky hill area. They have a great selection of delicious authentic indian food. A must visit if you're a foodie like me. For those interested, they also serve alcohol. The wait staff is courteous and the food, although a bit spicy is really good. One of the best places in ct if you want to experience indian food.
Excellent and quick service! Affordable pricing! We met an accommodating manager who helped us with everything we needed. The portions we were given were very well sized for the price and dessert was included. I would definitely recommend this to friends and plan to go to their dosa buffet.
Nice place
Staff is extremely unprofessional. He is lazy and refused to prepare our order from the menu because it was small.
Nice chat buffet on Wednesdays. All types of Indian chat. Mostly made from chick peas.
Been coming for lunch buffet recently. Always good, plus they don't "dumb down" the buffet for us. Good mix of Americanized and authentic dishes. Great value.
I had a great meal here the other day. Very tasty and very spicy! Yum yum yum
Wonderful food and atmosphere!
Great Indian food
Great food and a simple set up. All you can eat lunch buffet was incredible!
Good variety & taste.
I have been there 4 times so far. Once for lunch buffet and rest of the times for dinner. Buffet was good. They had a good spread of dishes. The food was delicious. Given a dinner and a lunch buffet, I would always go there for their buffet. They also have chat buffets in the evenings. The place is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful.
What a disappointing place.. Wednesday's chat buffet is worst ..none of the chat items has any taste.
The chat buffet is decent, dosa buffet leaves a lot to be desired. Otherwise, food is average
We got saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan from them. Food tasted good, but I got horrible food poisoning from the dinner. We won’t be going back again.
I love it here. Nice atmosphere good for a couple or group. Excellent food. The art around the restaurant is nice to look at.
The food was great. There is not enough space for parking. The place gets pretty crowded. The ambience was good with Indian music.
Awesome food, good music and nice service.
Once again had a superb meal at Priya Indian Cuisine on the Silas Deane Hwy, Rocky Hill. Possibly the best meal we've ever had at Priya. Had the Chicken Chennai (med. spicy), and the Lamb Pepperfry (spicy), with a side order of Dal, and also an order of the Rasam Soup, with dinner. It had been recommended by a knowledgable Indian man who works at the restaurant (Anil) to use the spicy Rasam soup to additionally flavor the entrees. Boy was he right. Not only another beautiful flavor to make a more complex experience, but it also, lightens and moistens the rich dishes. The Lamb Pepperfry was magnificent. Such depth of flavor, and the lamb chunks were small in size, and completely tender. Really a work of fine art!! The Chicken Chennai also was so excellent. Super tender chicken in a rich, but light at the same time, perfectly flavored sauce. Anil also recommended that we try the Dal on the side of our plate, on rice, with the Rasam soup on top. Wow! Gotta say, this guy knows his stuff. Priya is the most authentic Indian food in the hartford area (super flavorful, not greasy, exquisitely prepared). Totally 5 stars. Will be back again, soon! Thank you for an excellent experience Anil!
We were there yesterday for family Diwali Dinner and was the worst experience. The buffet food was cold , and stuffing in Dhosa was almost invisible and the worst part was the waiter or whoever told us to leave because they had a few people waiting!!! So rude ! We were not even there for more then two hours and telling us to leave was an insult. We even had to split the table which was utterly ridiculous. I would not go there ever again even if it is free and would not recommend to any of my friends . I rather go to TACO BELL really.
Very cold food .... Biriyani cold n dry...dosa?? No dosa... What its lunch buffet and 12:40 pm... Food was unexpectedly horrible
Nice food, the chicken tandoori is awesome.
Decent food however small space
Very good
It was really a very good Indian restaurant with good Indian food taste and good variety ( around 20 + sweets ) of both vegetarian and non vegetarian food with optimum cost. ($15 on weekend) and I drank tea which was very good too. But the most Vegetarian dishes are tasty south Indian The ambience is not so good but I care about that mostly when m not hungry otherwise it should be neat, clean and spacious which it satisfies . The staff is friendly and quick to respond.
Buffet lunch was delicious and tasty
Good buffet and ala-carte too.. It is one of the old Indian rest in the rocky hill area. We always go there to have a buffet with office colleagues. I have been there like numerous times. Sometimes it goes out of track but most of the times we had good buffet over there. Their tandoori over tawa or chicken appetizers are good. Same for ala carte. Good Indian food…
Ok
Awesome food. Great taste.
Delicious food, lot of varieties.
Delicious food at a surprisingly affordable price. They also have good service and yummy cocktails.
The best food around. The flavors and intensity are perfect.
Very worst food .. we tried dosa buffet on Sunday .. The batter was not fresh it smells like anything.. For this they charge $14/person ..the other dishes are old food so I would like to rate 0 only. Don’t even give a try Please don’t go to this restaurant and waste ur money
Dosa buffet on Sunday is good if u like dosas n uttapams.
Both north and south indian varieties are almost close to authentic! It s actually very good.
Not bad. The buffet is a very good value and there is a lot to choose from.
Have yet to try anything off the menu that was not delicious. Ordering take out, be sure to give them enough time to prepare your order...30 minutes means 30 minutes. Friendly and courteous with outstanding food. Highly Recommended.
They are maintaining the taste for certain foods very good. Had a chat buffet and it was okay. You will have more variety on chat buffet than the regular one.
Vada and Pongal are awesome in Priya. Never disappointed till now
Food was good in taste ,staffs were very friendly. Must go if you are missing indian food.
We live in Rocky Hill and turn to Priya every time we need tasty south indian cuisine which is once every two weeks! The staff is very friendly and service is pretty quick. Their samosas are awesome too.
Worst indian food. Expensive , service is poor and taste is worst. It took ages to get my masala dosa.
Average food. Dosa Night was not impressive. Service is slightly better than the taste of the food.
We visited this place for a buffet and the owner decided to charge us a heavy gratuity when we were planning to check out. On asking for an explanation he told us that we took long to eat.Make sure you check with him how long you are supposed to take to finish the meal before you sit down to have it. Being Indian, I can also vouch that the food isn't great. Visit coromandel if you want to have better food as well as better service.
It's one of good hotel near by. But quality of food is mediocre. 3 star is for staff and ambiance.
Priya has an amazing lunch buffet. Includes Naan and dosa. Lots of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Delicious!
I used to go here all the time for takeout when I worked down the street several years ago. I'm happy to say it's still as good as I remember it. Chicken kabob was killer, chicken tikka masala was phenomenal! I ate in this time and the service was great. They were helpful with questions and attentive to my needs. Highly recommended if you like Indian.
It was okay. Some things were good but I was not impressed. When a restaurant totes itself as "fine Indian cuisine" you would not expect them to use canned walmart brand tomato sauce. I Did not pay what I paid to eat something that tastes and resembles the quality of spaghetti-oh's. The service was not very good for us either and the staff was staring us down the entire time we were eating. It was very uncomfortable. They also kept rushing us out to leave.... it felt like we weren't wanted there possibly because we are not Indian ourselves. I would be given a lower rating, but some of the food was pretty good. I enjoyed the naan bread and the yogurt dipping sauce. The paneer was good too.
It is no more a quality food. It is not same as 3 to 4 years back. Its been long time since I had not so good food like this. I would not recommend for people who love food.
We love the Priya in Chicopee, so we thought we'd see if this location was as good. It did not disappoint! Try the lunch buffet.
A real gem, I was surprised to find it so easily off the highway. Most tender tandoori chicken by a mile. Solid spread of classics and a few more interesting dishes you don't typically find at more standard places.
Taste ok but good service.
Best dinner buffet.
Standard Indian fare, but brighter more pleasant decor than most Indian restaurants.
Tuesday Togo biryani really awesome deal
food is good except chicken tikka masala taste which disappointed us.
This restaurant is located on Silas Deane Hwy (in Rocky Hill) opp to Walmart and near Howard Johnson. It's little congested when crowded. The food taste is good. They have lunch buffet which has good number of vegetarian dishes.
Come and experience the Best in class Chaat Buffet on wednesday's.
Nice INdian restaurant esp. South Indian food is great. Gobi Manchurian is to die for... Good work guys keep up the awesome service going.
Good taste!
Delicious food We ordered vegetable manchurian and hakka noodles. Both were great. Just make sure of not making it spicy, that was damn spicy.
Very good authentic indian food. Love their chicken tikka masala and korma.
One of the best restaurants in Hartford area. Their buffet is on weekends are awesome. Especially I love their desserts. Avial is my favourite
Improved a lot on food quality, like the taste. Friendly staff.
Evening chat buffets on Wednesdays are the must go in this restaurant..
Awesome food. Lots of varieties .taste is nice too.
Really good food and nice staff. Never had a bad experience. Could be a bit cleaner in its feel! The buffet is superb. Dosa is fantastic.
Wonderful food!
Wednesday night is always a chat buffet night. Weekend buffet is great. Chicken 65 is a must try
One of the best buffet in CT I tried both weekend lunch buffet and Dinner buffet Wednesday chat night and Sunday dosa night food was awesome I recommend this place to both buffet and ala cart good food
Good place for south Indian food.
Excellent, authentic Indian cuisine. Large selection in their buffet and wonderful Mango Lassi.
Great chat buffet and nice place to visit with family
Dosa buffet is awesome :-)
Lunch buffet is great, Must try for "Rasam" lovers, some of the outstanding dishes are vada, fish 65, chicken biryani.
The best part about eating here for lunch besides the absolutely delicious food? During lunch time; I walk in, find a seat, put my things down and immediately get into the serving line. If I want, I'm eating delicious Indian Cuisine within 3 minutes of walking into the restaurant during buffet lunch. Highly recommend.
Liked it. Good taste.
Priya is great for buffets on Wednesday n Sunday dinner. We have gone here a few times and have never been disappointed. Recently the taste of the food has become even better.
Rude people went their for a take out the man tells me everything and any has to be weighed really bad attitude very unwelcoming got the food they can’t find the thing to weigh the food with left and went somewhere else and had a great customer service never will I go back. Word of advice a friendly service goes. a long way and customers are always right in this country
Its Saturday lunch buffet. Good number of varieties. And different varieties like mint rice, chicoo ice cream, halwa. The idli vada sambar can be better - vada looks fresh but not crispy, sambar did not have right texture.
Always delicious. Always fresh. Eating in or taking out, Priya is our go-to for authentic Indian cuisine.
Great food!! Good prices!! Nice dinner atmosphere. Good service.
Mediocre cooking, sloooooow service and a manager who focuses on making lame excuses pretty much sums up the experience. Waited 42 minutes for a dish (dosa) that takes no more than 5 minutes to make. While the server apologized the manager instead wanted to make a lame excuse that cooks forget orders at times. Apparently you are sponsoring their collective callousness and dementia when you dine here.
What they show in the website is not what they offer. For instance, as on Apr 28 2019, I was about to step in for a dinner buffet but called them to check the items and I was told that they don't have a buffet but only al a carte items. The justification was some lame excuse about a cooler not working!
Good food quality ..
Wednesday dinner sucks. It is supposed to be indo Chinese and varity of other items, but truth is that everything is tasteless.
Service was quick and excellent. We ordered idlis, masala dosa with paneer, channa batura, nan, goat curry and ras malai. Everything was well prepared. Our experience was so good that we bought a gift certificate for good friends.
I loved the indian Chaat buffet. Taste was almost authentic. And verity was ample. Crowd was lively. Looking forward to try regular buffet and a la carte menu.
I travel a lot, this is the best Indian food I've had in 10 years. The Staff is excellent. highly recommend it.
Awesome food. I'll go back to have buffet again. Reasonable prices as well.
.. If you wanna good flavor of south Indian style yummy
I ordered drums of heaven, too salty stale, no salad. On top of that when I called the guy to give him a feedback he was super rude, not ready to accept his fault. This is a trash place avoid at all cost.
ALL HAIL PRIYA!!!! THE BEST FOOD ON ALL OF EARTH!!!!
Guys never order food from this people I use to be there valued customer I ordered 5 biryani when I took home it was pungent and spoiled spices smelled when I call them they argued and said throw away your biryani we are not doing anything for you guys as there valued customer I suggest every person if your food is mistake don't think they will change for you and if you catering order be careful this place is not making proper business cuz of there lack of customer service guys these people have very unhygeine place I made mistake going there I will never go there honestly better to have nice indian decent restaurant instead of having these rats food these people are total worthless swine these is my last experience thank you
Good food many varieties available... Authentic Indian test... Good service, little slow... Overall experience is good.
It was very good when we started 2 years back but gradually quality started deteriorating. Price was increased in December and during my last visit in Feb, 2016, quality was worst, service was horrible and the kids are also charged full price. They too very long time to refill rotis. My 8 yr son told me that I cook better food than served. He always lived their food but this time visit was worst. Started hunting for better Indian restaurants to visit.
Been a 13 year customer. Weekend buffet is better and spicier than the great weekday one
Liked the food. They have good varieties. Liked the taste of all foods.
Awesome food.... Especially the Wednesday evening chaat buffet
The idly here is amazing.
I grew up in the area but now live out of state/out of the country at times. When im back i look forward to Priya. It is some of the best Indian food I've ever had, and Ive had Indian food in hundreds of cities aroind the world, including in India. Priya is the best youll find anywhere.
Food is delicious and varieties to choose from. Space is less.
The vegetarian food is good but my friend eating non veg did not recommend it. I loved everything I ate here. And the price is also very reasonable.
Finger licking good food.. buffet is quite good..you get lots of options..food is spicy and tasty..
I orderd food via Uber eats and after 2 hours they called me and said we are cancelling your order. All the two hours they are just extending the delivery time by 30 mins so that I may cancel anytime. So bad this is and Uber eats has to remove this restaurant from the app. Cheap tricks played by the Restaurant.
they use the same fryer to fry veg and non veg food items. so, if you are a vegetarian and think you are ordering only vegetarian food and even though you ask them to not cross contact with meat items, its not really vegetarian anymore.
Weekend buffet is good. I enjoyed their dosa buffet but you need to be patient to get your dosa as it takes time to prepare a dosa. Number of items were less than expected for a buffet and it costed around $15 but overall quality was good.chicken curry was awesome. Idli very soft. But medu wada was a bummer.curd rice ,chhole bhature and veg biryani were other items in buffet. Gajar halwa and fruit salad completed the Dessert. there were 15 different kind of Dosa but you need to tell them upfront if you want your dosa to be crispy.onion rawa masala dosa was very good..we tried masala dosa and paneer uttapam as well and they were okey.overall chicken curry was the winner.
One of the better Indian restaurants. Consistency is the key here. The food is good not great. Watch out for the Wednesday dinner; they have chaat buffet which is a speciality of this place.
Food is average and ambience is good, nothing exciting. The place is too cramped. Price is reasonable.
Biryani is good. No for buffay.
I just loved this restaurant till they changed their staffs recently. Now their foods are simply tasteless. I don't go here anymore.
Ok, legit the best tasting I think I have has on East coast, and the best variety. Idli sambhar and Gobi deep fried on the same buffet is a rare treat! Staff is incredibly friendly as well! This place should be packed for every meal. No joke.
One of the best Indian restaurant in Rocky Hill, CT
The waiter was offensive.. He charged towards me when I asked him to layout the plate. I did not felt safe..
food quality is nt good these days
The best I had so far in US. Had lunch in many restaurants in lot of places in US, but this is the best South Indian food. Thank you Priya Indian Cuisine.
Wish there was a 0 star option. So me and my family where out for a Dinner, it resulted to everyone getting badly sick. Most of the food we got was very poorly made and honestly the services were not the greatest. I payed 14$ for a plate of tikas just to get chicken brest sautéed in onions. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you want to get food poisoning.
Good food
We had a very bad experience both in food and service. The staff was rude food quality was also not good .
This place is best to go on Sundays in the afternoon. That’s when all banquet is open.
They have breakfast buffet on Wednesdays in which they offer tiffin items like idli, vada sambar, chutneys, upma, and chats like pav bhaji, masala puri, paani Puri. Desserts usually are kulfies, gulab Jamun. They serve unlimited dosas to the table. With many options, it's really worth going. Place is clean but it's very very crowded especially on Wednesdays and hence, the Waiting time is very long. Whenever we have been here, waited for 30-45 minutes. Parking is an issue as well.. and parking area is a small space so seems more crowded.. but if you can struggle for the sake of tasty food, this is indeed good place.
Worst experience i have it with priya ... i ordered vegetable jalfrezi but they mixed some chicken in it and they gave me ... i never had chicken in my life and iam pure nonvegetarian ... when we have gone and asked them they just told it happened by mistake and asked us to excuse .... which i can never do ... NO MORE PRIYA
