We had and excellent dining experience. Tried a different vegetarian dish: The Do Gooder Grilled mushrooms, smashed avocado, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella cheese with roasted pine nuts, on Texas multi grain bread which was excellent. Our son had a Turkey Ruben and my wife had a veggie burger and both were delicious. Very attentive staff, service couldn't be better. Not to be missed when visiting Chester.

It is always fun to go to the pattaconk. Food was good service was good and people were friendly. We had the double hot dogs, sweet potato fries and chicken wraps. All were delish! I was disappointed in the current beer offerings. Majority of the list were ipas and not being fond of them I had little to choose from

The was well made and the sandwiches were very large. We passed up on dessert because we were so full from the meal. Good sized serving of sweet potatoes fries too. Loved looking at the Xmas tree across the road and stream that seemed to almost run under the building !

Food was good. Atmosphere was great, homey. Waitress was friendly and very accommodating. We were seated inside until a big enough table was ready outside. (Thanks Abby!) There was a band we wanted to see. (Old dog new trick)

Tried to get ice cream, the window wasn’t open. Go into restaurant, bartender tells me to wait. Ok fine. Then tells me she’ll meet me out there, I go outside and see that the ice cream bar, WHICH IS ATTACHED TO A RESTAURANT, is cash-only. You can’t be cash-only in this day and age. Ridiculous. Made all the more ridiculous by the fact that it’s attached to a restaurant which clearly takes card. Would never want to go to either of these places ever again.

So much potential, no service unless you know someone... We were told that it would be a slightly longer wait for our food tonight, ok understandable. But when a family of 6 comes in 10 minutes after me and my wife ordered food, and they are served ten minutes ago, and my wife and I are still waiting for our medium rare steaks. But the wait staff stops by and has a wonderful conversation with that family... Thanks for the terrible service! Highly doubt that we will be back. Just informed it will be at least 10 more minutes till we get our medium steaks.

Service was excellent! Lobster roll quite possibly was the worst one I’ve ever had in my life. Drenched in oil or butter with some unrecognizable spices. I think it was even over cooked… Dry. Even if you’re trying to put your own spin on a lobster roll… It should be as plain as possible with either butter or mayonnaise and little spice. Even the coleslaw was absolutely horrible. Very heavy with no taste. Just mayo.

Monday at noon all the local spots were packed and ended up at a watering hole and glad we did. Fast service and the food was amazing as we had grilled sandwiches with sweat potatoes fries that were crisp and served hot....yum...and come in it's own metal frying basket...nice touch. I'm not a local but I will be back to try the dinner menu.

Went for an early dinner and had the Philly cheese steak sandwich, which was wonderful. No big crowds early, but during warmer months there can be waits for dinner. A few TV's on the walls to watch sports in the bar area. Bigger dining room off the back with a view of the river.

Nice pub and eatery located right down town in the center of Chester. Good food and service. Depending on the time of day or evening, can be very busy. Ample seating for lunch and dinner, with the exception of the weekend- tight. Nice views from the window of the small river.

I loved the Pattaconks Big Island burger with a side salad. Honestly one of the best burgers I've had. The meal was prepared with talent and the ingredients throughout were fresh and flavorful. Service was prompt and friendly plus there were plenty of options on the menu. I'll be headed back here soon!

I have been going here for years. The place is more of a bar. Family friendly in the back of the restaurant where you'll have view of the rushing Pattaconk river as it makes its way through the village. The menu has changed many time sometimes good sometimes not. The waitress was good and prompt. The food is more of bar food. Anything from burgers to steaks some Mexican food. Decent Verity of food.. Try it n you may like it . .

Every sandwich I've had here has been amazing. Some of the best pub grub around. Nice staff, and a good comfortable spot to sit outside with just enough protection from the elements. Good selection of local beers including a few house draughts (brewed by Thimble Island). Highly recommend the Reuben.

Everytime I'm in the area, I make sure to stop in. Even if its half an hour out of my way. Their food is reliably awesome, the place is really cool, lots of beer selections, awesome area, and just always an all around good experience. I always tell people to go try it. Highly recommend.

Unique melding of citrus, chillies and nuts in the shrimp appetizer. The oysters were fresh and presented well. The olive oil served with delicious bread was peppery and high quality. A version of Tofu Thai was tasty but a little to sweet to be authentic. Service was prompt and courteous. I would return.

I tried this place today for lunch. For years I heard some hype about this place. To make it short and simple, The prices are high. $14 for a sloppy burger? and 11$+ appetizers. I got a Red Sangria (waste of money) didnt taste alcohol in it at all and it was 14$! not even a slight buzz to it! this place is expensive and the burger I got had bacon on it that wasnt even cooked! I showed the waitress and she was polite about it and brought me out more crispy bacon that wont make people sick! atmosphere is cool I will say that but the food isnt worth the hype and the mixed drinks are weak!

Complete waste of money for the second time....same experience as the first. Chester has a small but very quaint downtown which is why we enjoy patio seating, even on a chilly night. We went early on a Friday night for happy hour. This place has gas heaters but had been out of gas for several days. We were told that they haven't had happy hour for about a year and they didn't bother to update their website because everyone just uses facebook now. We paid expensive prices for barely okay food, patio seating with no heat, and employees who smoke just a few steps away from the patio. No background music on a Friday for a pub was a downer also. There are quiet a few NICE places to go in Chester and surrounding towns. This was a complete waste of time and money. Please write a review if you go....would be interesting to hear if you find otherwise. We thought the first time experience was a fluke but unfortunately this seems to be the norm. Hence we were one of two couples dining there on a Friday night in the fall season.

Cool pub for casual drinks and food. When the weather is good, we like to sit out on the patio, and enjoy the village. Motorcycle friendly, bike parking right out front. Great burgers, and sandwiches, one of my regular stops!

My go to place. Food and service are good. Wide menu range with some options being amazing. Kids menu with reasonable prices and real good not boxed/frozen stuff. Outside seating is convenient with kids.

Nice staff and atmosphere. Was extremely disappointed in the food. I ordered a cheese quesadilla but they burned it and it was ruined. However, they still served it, didn't care I was dissatisfied and made me pay full price when I only ate a few bites worth.

What an amazing place! The food was fantastic, the service was stellar, and it's tucked into a beautiful area downtown that's easy to walk to. We had a small problem with one meal we ordered (plastic on the sandwich) and we alerted the waitress. She explained how it happened, apologized profusely and took the sandwich off the bill. Great service! Total for 5 people, each person having 1 or 2 drinks, was under $80 so a great deal as well as great food and service! Highly recommended.
