If I could give zero stars I would. We went on a Monday night and there was a small crowd. It took 1.5 hours to get our food after ordering AND we ended up with the wrong food. Then after putting someone elses food on our table and walking away two other servers came back and picked it off our table and served it to another table! But, they did ask if we had eaten any of it! HA! I kid you not! Food we eventually got was terrible. Waitress could not care less. Complained to Manager who said "Gee, sorry, too bad". IMHO...Do not go there. Many nice restaurants in Mystic but this ain't one of them.

This place really took a down turn. The service was slow and the food left a lot to be desired. Our waitress barely touched our table. She said she was new but would entirely disappear from the floor. Overall bad experience. The only reason i am giving this place two stars is for their Mexican street corn. That was good.

Normally a good after work venue but service was quite slow and less than profeddional on this particular occasion. Bartender was less than helpful when I tried to get some drink orders for our party after waiting quite a while. Was not busy but insisted we go back and wait for our server and wasn't interested in offering assistance. Our waitress was polite when she arrived but apparently over extended.

Excellent food and a range of choices. We tried the Rancheros Banderas and the Jarritos were also good. Not a lot of seating for large groups but interesting arrangements with a sports bar like feel. The quantity of food is decent. I shared with a friend but that wasn't quite enough and I'd rather ordered my own.

The fajitas seemed to have canned onions and a one inch slice of green pepper (instead of lots of slices of green and red fresh peppers, with a tough hanger steak instead of the tastier skirt steak that used to be prepared here with dish. The enchiladas were not as good as I remember so apparently the Chefs are changing hands here a lot.

Our server was very nice however I was pretty unimpressed with the food. We got tacos with three different types of meat and all of the meat was flavorless. I wouldn't come back here for a full meal, only for appetizers and drinks (if that).

Slow service, even to pay the bill. 2 out of 3 plates where unedible (raw rice, super salty meat, melted cheese left too long on microwave etc) excuses about a big party in the place....either do not overbook or if you dont have enough or properly trained employees just keep the place closed!!!

The kitchen here prepares the best food. Had their street tacos for lunch today and am trying to convince myself that I should go again tomorrow and get them again. So delicious! Bar tender was super friendly and welcoming.

They weren't busy but host told me he didn't think he could seat my party of 2 because they were expecting larger parties later that night. The place was dead at 3:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. He finally sat us at a very small table. The manager called my meal weird when I asked for my meal to be without allergens. Then the host started seating parties of 2 at the larger tables with no problem. The food wasn't too bad, but the service and professionalism is something I definitely won't go back for.

Wish I could give 3.5. Staff was friendly. The pork for the taco plate was amazing however their idea of tomatos on it was 2-3 dime size(or smaller) chunks that you would find in pico. The guacamole was just mashed avocado and maybe 15 of those same tomato chunks no seasoning no lime or cilantro etc. I ended up asking for those items and fixed it up a bit myself but again it was not seasoned at all when it was served. The steak for the steak taco plate my friend got was also very good but same thing on toppings(minimal). And the enchilada burrito thing my fiance got was pretty good. Over all I would probably do take out of the tacos but other food items were too expensive for what you were getting.

Not very well managed, staff seemed under prepared and distressed. Tried ordering a margarita that was on the specials menu that they didn’t even have (not ran out of they literally didn’t have it) The waitress offered a different margarita and I obliged, this drink came out to me looking like it was spilled on the floor then scooped back into the cup. It was so messy it pooled onto the table. I had to clean it off myself. Thankfully after about 15 minutes of me sipping at it the waitress offered to take it off the bill and the table. Also ordered the steak fajitas at medium rare and they were burnt to a crisp. So disappointed for the price, catch me at your local taco truck ✌️

All you can eat tacos for $10.00 every Tuesday. They are good. Need I say more? I am editing my review because it has not been great lately. I went for tacos last tuesday and the service was terrible. I sat at the bar with an empty plate of food and an empty drink for atleast 20 minutes. The man working the bar had to have walked by me atleast a dozen times. Every time I needed something I had to ask him. He never asked me. He made it seem like I was inconveniencing him everytime I needed something. It was not very busy and like I said I sat at the bar. I was there for 1.5 hours and got 2 drink and 2 plates of tacos. That was not by choice either.

We had eight people in our group and all enjoyed their food. The chicken taco salad had chunks instead of shreds which they didn't like as much as the shreds. The waitress was very nice and the food came out fairly quickly. Also they were easily able to change vegetarian food to vegan without blinking an eye. Overall good place and food.

You can’t go wrong with the 5 dollar margarita and chips and salsa. The queso is to die for!! The staff is great and the decorations in the place are so lively. I loved sitting in the lounge area. There is also a pool table and games for kids in the back area of the lounge. Great with friends and families. Go check it out!

I absolutely love this restaurant. The staff is friendly and patient (very important when you have kids) and they are very knowledgeable about the menu. My review is based on the main focus of this restaurant, really and truly, what in the world happened to the kitchen and the quality of what comes out of it. You know that feeling of hunger when everything was supposed to taste good, no matter what it was? Well don't bank on that outcome from this spot! *THE FOOD WAS UTTER RUBBISH, it tasted like it was straight out of the freezer. Management needs to take a serious look at what’s going in in that kitchen for what its worth for this chain!

I work here so I will say that the food,staff and atmosphere are amazing. The food is fresh and prepared to order. The lounge has a club vibe at night and there's a touch tunes jukebox so that you can play your preferred music. The place is huge. However. If you plan to make reservations you might want to do so 24 to 48 hours in advanced. Fridays and Saturdays you must do this. We can accommodate large parties and we also have an ability to have a charity event. I have been there for over a year and everybody in there as far as employees and regulars are very very supportive and amazing people. I highly recommend this place.

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews but this was too disgusting to overlook! Dropped by a the bar for two drinks and some appetizers. The whole place smelled like a toilet! I asked the bartender what the smell was and she said their drain was backed up and they needed to put bleach and it would help. The smell was gross the entire time and it was like having drinks and food while sitting in a bathroom where someone had taken a huge dump! Makes me wonder what their cleanliness is like in the rest of the place!

Not impressed! Went for dinner with a friend. Went because wanted to use free appetizer for circle of friends. Service was slow. Got appetizer and it was burnt. Was told would take off bill, itemized bill was crumpled up and never got it. Friends meal was over cooked as well but they dealt with it. Totally disappointed again!!

First time going at the recommendation of a friend. We got margarita flight (great value at $12) and some appetizers. Staff was super friendly, but very long wait at the hostess stand since there wasn't much front staff. If we're in the area again we'll definitely go back.

I’ll give two stars one for the decent guacamole and another for Mexican themed decor. As for the rest the food tasted so bad my husband couldn’t even eat his fajitas. The rice had a weird tasting red sauce which they smothered the shrimp in as well. The meat tasted like they used a liquid smoke. I don’t like having to write bad reviews but if you want good, authentic Mexican food this is NOT the place to go!

Margaritas is the northern white man's interpretation of Tex-Mex foods. They have burritos, fajitas, and the like. None of their food is exceptional, but its all pretty decent. Their prices are fair because they do have large portions, but it just isn't my favorite.

I’m from Texas and I’m intimately familiar with the flavor of Tex/Mex and authentic Mexican cuisine. I was hopeful that Margarita’s would at least be similar to that. Instead, my burrito tasted like an enchilada and a lasagna collided at high speed. Marinara or any sweet tomato sauce does not belong on a Mexican-inspired dish. Why do so many restaurants up here attempt the reinvent the wheel with these dishes? And if they’re screwing up a burrito, I can only imagine what they’ve done with the rest of their offerings. Avoid unless you’ve never experienced the real thing.

We have been a customer for years there and always enjoy stopping in for a bite at the top of the restaurant where you'll find a nice bar and plenty of dining. Went with a group of 6. The hostess was very nice, but we waited for approximately 10 minutes before we were even greeted by our server, Cornell. We then had to wait another 10 for him to even bring our drinks over. Getting the check and refills from him took about the same time. The food was decent, but lacked freshness. There are much better mexican restaurants out there with better service and better food for cheaper. Not worth it.

Sat at the bar last night for dinner after a day of shopping and couldn’t have had a better time. The bartender, Rosie, was so welcoming and knowledgeable. She walked us through the menu and figured out which margarita we’d like best. Never having been to a Mexican restaurant before we didn’t know much about what to order, Rosie explained all of the different options we had and answered all of our questions! She made our experience amazing and because of her we will definitely be back. She’s a keeper!

They changed the menu, and it is much less gluten free friendly. No flautas or tostadas which is highly disappointing. The basic salsa also changed and instead of an interesting roasted flavor, it's just very acrid. The tacos I got seemed to have missed having got their dose of salsa, so were quite dry and overall uninspired. The margarita and sangria were well made and appropriately strong. Would not return here until a favorable menu revamp.

It's not really authentic Mexican food, more like an americanized version of it, but I'm ok with that. I feel like it has good flavor all around, and I randomly have cravings for it which keeps me coming back. The guacamole for you guac lovers out there is a little bit bland but the drinks are good. I'm not entirely sure it's handicapped accessible which could be a concern. The main entrance for it you have to go up a few stairs and I personally have not noticed an elevator for those of you that are in a wheel chair or stroller, so again, not sure if there is one. Parking wise it doesn't have its own lot but there is a paid lot right across the street, or if you don't mind a little walk there's a decent amount of street parking in that general area.

Meh. Nothing special. I mean...the margaritas are good, just order less ice. The food...it’s mediocre at best. Fun to go with friends. Annoying when they sing happy birthday, they try to be cute by having their own birthday song, but they have like 10 a night and all the staff join, so forget about your server during that time, oh yeah and they clap and sing. You may even feel depressive symptoms after eating there.

If it had an option for no stars, that's what I would've chosen. Our day started out great until we decided to get lunch here before we started exploring. We told the server that my husband is allergic to onions. He ordered his steak fajitas, telling her, no onions on it. It came out with plenty of onions. He sent it back, and when it came out, we could see that they tried to pick the onions from the same dish they brought out before. He sent it back again, and finally, his dish came out with one or two pieces of onions on it. He was very hungry and angry at this point, so he settled. He got a little sick tonight because of them not caring about his allergies. The manager did not at any time come out there to apologize to us for the inconvenience and for my husband's order being messed up. I figure it's because we're tourists and they don't care if we enjoyed ourselves or not. They know we're not coming back. The food was very bland. My daughter and I took ours home so I could season it. It's edible now, but still not great. Thank you for responding. What I'm about to say is going to sound mean, and I'm sorry for that. Ok then, our trip up north is a once in a lifetime trip for us. We won't be able to come back to Mystic. So, for our first time and last time here; This experience soured our visit to Mystic a little bit. I don't see any reason to talk about it, because you can't make it better. It happened, and in our case that was there only chance to uplift things. This was our dining experience there.

The food was eatable I guess but it wasn’t good. My grandma could make better and she ISNT EVEN MEXICAN. The wait for anything is RIDICULOUS. It took at LEAST an hour for us to get our drinks which weren’t even good. The water tasted like it was from the mystic river. My friend who was celebrating her bday didn’t even get her mango smoothie.. how rude. After about a 2 hour wait for our food, your forks were flimsy and I dropped it. Overall I’d rate it a 3 because the mints were good. The bathrooms however, NEED TO BE CLEANED. Thank you.

I can't speak to their food as we stopped in just for a few beers. It is sort of an unusually divided up place with several floors. We went all the way up to the top bar and got a table maybe around 10pm. Pretty chilly and easy to talk with friends. They had music on one of those "jukeboxes" that you can control with your phone, but it wasn't too loud. They brought us some chips and salsa and even refilled them. Staff was friendly and attentive. Might be a spot worth trying out for a meal, especially as it seemed that they did have a patio that is maybe open during the dinner hour.

Great wings. But ruined by hostess with an attitude. We decided to change one booth back before even ordering. Hostess reaches over to remove extra utensils and mutters in my ear “Jesus Christ.” Waitress couldn’t tell us what was in a margarita and walked off before asking us how we wanted it.

Waited outside for 30 minutes after the hostess said she was getting a table ready. She never came back. A member of my party had to find a manager to finally be seated. We constantly ran out of chips and would have to ask for refills, new chips weren't even brought out when we bought two different chip dips. On average it took 15 minutes for a margarita to come out after it was ordered. I shared a fajita with someone but was never given a plate. I had to ask for one even after the waiter saw me eating off of wax paper. The food itself was good but not worth the service.

My friends and i went to this place last night and we were seated very quickly and treated with efficiency and kindness. our waitress Georgia was so sweet and patient with us, as we are four indecisive teenage girls. Our meals were amazing, and it made our night out 10x better. She helped us pay our bills and was so eager to help us. kudos to this restaurant and its staff!

Visited from out of town and had an amazing dinner! The fajitas were sizzling and hit the spot perfectly. Awesome drink variety - strongly suggest everyone try the Naked Lime margarita! We called for a party of 9. We were told it may not be possible to seat 9 any time soon but come in. The call taker asked us what time and I provided a 1 hour ETA. Upon arrival, I observed several tables that were empty but dirty. The call taker greeted us, and told us we could not be seated. I was baffled and suggested we wait. I was told no we could not be seated ????? So, our party of nine on a Monday night in mystic went to the ol trusty Pizzetta. Living locally, I would certainly say I will not try Margaritas again and will stick to the staples. Hopefully, the next restaurant that takes the place of margaritas will be a staple too.

I walked in as Jess was chasing a customer down to return their card. I found the staff to be involved in the establishment. They cared about what they did. There were promoters there from Dos Equis’s that we’re pushing for the establishment that were engaged and working towards the fulfillment of the customer experience. The salsa was fresh and fantastic. The crowd was a party crowd. They were laid back and friendly. The bar staff was very polite and engaging. They had a clear understanding of food preferences and wanted to make sure that the guests had a good time. I recommend them. Just pay for the parking. It is worth it.

Awesome newly opened and starting out great. The food was hot and fresh. The wait staff was on hand for all of the customer needs, they knew the menu like they were old pros. And the drinks were fabulous. Only killer was the stairs. Not going to be good for people who can't make the trip up but other than that was a lovely night.
