I ordered the Shrimp Poori and Chicken Vindaloo for takeaway. It was remarkable. Very spicy but not so hot your mouth is burning. The heat didn’t interfere with the flavor. Having only been once I would like to try some other things on the menu but I am sure the quality will be the same. Indian food is among my favorites so I’m really happy to find a place close to home as good as the places I used to go to in NYC. I think the price is very good considering the quality of the food.

Beautiful restaurant and portion size is so so, but overall I loved it. Ice cream portain is very small and not worth the price if your choosing from desserts (kufi) I believe its called.

Using same curry in goat and shrimp and curry is fairly sweetened. Food served cold except the curry we ordered and naan. Naan served 2 quarter pieces. Salad 2 piece of serving. 1 slice of carrot and 1 slice of cucumber. Serving size is enough for one person. They greeted when entering and exiting.

This is an amazing restaurant and you have to try it! From the moment you walk in, the staff are all so nice, welcoming and attentive. It's a small place but with very nice decor. You start off with the popapdoms and they taste divine. They come with some really good sauces but honestly they taste just fine on their own. My husband and I figured we would like leftovers, so we went a little overboard with ordering. For our appetizer, we got the samosas and fried jalapenos. I loved the samosas, the filling was extremely tasty and it was fried just right. The jalapenos were my husband's favorites, deep fried and spicy. For our mains, we got the chicken biriyani, lamb vindaloo, chicken Tikka masala, garlic naan, and chilli naan. Worth noting that the mains come with white rice, so yes, we had a lot of food. Like I said, we went overboard :-) Everything tasted great! All the dishes were so mouthwatering!! You can adjust the vindaloo's spice level and I chose 8 out of 10 but I think they went easy on me :-) We didn't really have room for dessert but ordered the pistachio kulfi anyway (it's sort of like ice cream). This was the definitely the perfect ending to the meal. I've never had kulfi before and this was heavenly. Even my husband who doesn't like dessert (so he claims) devoured half of this and declared it the best dessert he'd had in years. Excellent food here. We will be back.

I was very impressed. The restaurant is stylish, the menu extensive and the staff is knowledgeable. I want more people to discover this place. It deserves to be packed every night. A friend and I went to enjoy dinner and catch up. It was fun being able to order great food even if I didn't know how to pronounce the names of each item. Definitely coming again. Parking lot is small. Come in one car if possible.

Indian Cuisine with a spin of Nepal - the Sheek Kebab were very well and the nepalese Momos (dumblings) were so yummy. The curries were a little bit boring and not that spicy. The Byriani was great. The staff was friendly and a good host.

Very good food/seasoning and service, only issue was that the lamb in the Boti Kabab Masala was so overcooked I could barely cut it, let alone chew it. The sauce was delicious. I want to give them another chance, but if the meat is overcooked and tough again, I will have to skip and go back to Darbar, even though it's a farther drive.

We have eaten there often and the owners and waitstaff have been fantastic. If I am not sure what I might like, they have many suggestions. And they often prepare it just the way I like it . . . a little hotter than usual. I love the Indian motif of the restaurant, the music, etc. They have there act together for a great Indian food experience.

My very first time experience - I called half hour early to order 1 Momo .. just 1 order.. I go there half hour later even though they said it will take 20 min. I went the and it was not ready, i was on my 30 minute lunch break and had to wail 20 more minutes for 1 order of momo!! I come back to my work and found out they did not add any utensils or napkins!! And the momos were so small in size and they charged me $9.52 for it!!!! I get huge momos elsewhere for only $6 max and they are really big ones stuffed with chicken. The guys working up front were nice and kept saying sorry but being this is a new restaurant they have no room for error like this. Owner should make sure in an area like Guilford things run smoothly to ensure customers come back and also not over charge for things because people don't know how much it should cost...

Kamana Indian restaurant's food in Guilford was tremendously good. Excellent Mango Lassi, Chai tea, vegetarian Samosas, Chicken Momo, Chicken Korma, Aloo Palak, Dal Makhni and Garlic Naan. All cooked to perfection, tender chicken-spiced just right and friendly, efficient service! We will be back.

Terrific Indian cuisine in Guilford. The menu is larger and more extensive than your typical Indian restaurant. Nepali dishes on the menu too. The wait staff was super friendly. Small dining room.

This is a hidden gem in the town. The staff is very welcoming, food is delicious and the atmosphere is pleasant. Tried their papri chat in appetizers and highly recommend it. Mango lassi was nice too. Their thali is huge, so be ready for leftovers if you are not a big eater. Highly recommend the place.

Overpriced !under spiced! I've eaten here three times in hopes that i would find something redeeming about this menu. It is our only Indian restaurant in town. Everything you order will have a barbecue sauce aftertaste. The mango lassi is abysmally tiny and $5 each. literally like cups you would use in the bathroom for mouthwash. The standards: tikka masala, korma , malai kofta, saag paneer -all tastes exactly the same..and all tastes of barbecue sauce. Disgusting anglosized Indian... I didn't think it was possible for me to dislike any form of Indian food but alas I have found kamana. They need to take a note from Sitar or Thali 2 in New Haven. Ditch the barbecue sauce. Start using the diverse and complex spice combinations Indian food is much loved for. Give us a proper size 12oz - 16oz lassi for $5.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant. The interior is beautifully decorated and the staff is very nice and attentive. I would recommend any dish with shrimp because they give you a great amount of shrimp. The prices are very reasonable, especially if you go for the lunch specials. The lunch specials are also served on a large silver tray with naan, lentils, yogurt, rice, vegetables, and more.
