I love this place. Lunch is cheaper than dinner. The koi pond is fun and the kids will love it. The food is hot and plentiful. The fish and calamari are excellent. The sushi bar is included along with a full bar but thats not included. Staff is quiet and very helpful.

-500 STARS Would definitely support Burger King or any other fast food over this junk. Service was terrible they made me feel like I was scum and was being drained of my money. If you wanna walk out the door puking and end up with a disgusting stomach ache that lasts for days go here! Highly do not recommend. At least you can walk out of McDonalds without food poisoning.

Compared to other buffets in the area this is my favorite because they make sushi on the spot and they offer a nice variety for the hibachi. They even offer shucked oysters.

Food was good, wait staff was professional but not very friendly which is ok. They have waiters and waitresses that rotate different areas. The sushi and noodle/veggie bar is very nice and a real highlight and treat. I'm giving a lower rating because there was a small situation there when dining, the manager was very unprofessional in handling the situation and gave attitude which made me and my party feel very unwelcomed and awkward.

Great food, even sushi! Friendly staff, unbelievable selection of higher quality buffet. The sushi chef's have changed but are of the utmost quality as is the sushi itself. The sushi menu is limited, but a well placed $5.00 tip will get you custom made sushi in any configuration you please. No himachi (yellowFin Tuna) Dollar for dollar the best deal in the local area. Bohemia Restaurant is higher in quality and price. Very good sushi here and buffet as well. (My personal favorite). AK Swift

We had a very good, all you can eat, meal. Every choice we ate, was hot and had good flavor. I'm a seafood and fish lover. They make a good salmon, and a great whitefish, and there's plenty of it. If you like shrimp, octopus, squid, prepared in several different ways, this is the place. There are also several different types of meat and chicken dishes prepared in different ways, that my wife liked. They also have crab legs, clams, lo mien and pizza. To finish off your meal, there is fresh fruit, icecream, and baked goods, to select from. The staff constantly made sure the trays were full of freshly cooked or prepared selections. After 3 trips to the buffet and a dish of fresh fruit , it was time to go. Our bill came to $30.00 plus tip for the two of us. A fair price for what we ate. By the way, on your way out, stop to look at some of the largest Koi fish swiming on both sides of the entrance. If your looking for an inexpensive dining experience, this is it.

Prices are never consistent. They will judge your child based on looks to how old they think they are. I had two ten year olds and a six year old my 6 year old was $7 and myself and my older boys were charged $15 adult price. This is not the 1s time it happened. $12 and under means 12 and under not what age you THINK my child is. I like to go here because they offer sushi and clams/oysters included at that price. The staff is very rude and stare at what you eat if you get multiple plates clams and sushi they will treat you not as friendly....The food varies on certain days to good to not so good. They will also take things away like crab legs if the place gets too busy... my biggest concern was charging my ten year olds as adults because they are big boys. $60 for 4 people 3 if them children under 12 (no drinks included).

Good food and quality consistency. Staff is friendly and attentive. Good selection of chinese and american cuisine. They have a sushi counter where they make it for you to order and a stir-fry as well. They charge extra if you try to waste food so empty your plate and don't take too much! (Great policy if you ask me!)

Food is fresh, only downside is if you ask a worker for a particular food item you been waiting for (such as coconut shrimp) most of the time they ignore you and walk away. I am writing this review while I am sitting in this restaurant. The kids wanted to go there mainly because we like their shrimp. Today, we were so disappointed because they changed it. I don't understand why this place has a 3.9 star rating. The good reviews are probably written by the employees themselves because it's the worse service I have ever encountered. Not only does it smell like old fish but the servers are rude they give u dirty looks while u eat and they dont even care to ask how your meals going or if u would like a refill. I have never in my life seen so much unproffessionalism from any restaurant I have been at. I've never written a review for any restaurant but I really dont want people wasting there money on overpriced low quality food that is served cold and makes u throw up because it's not even switched out. The food just sits there all day and gets mixed occasionally to look fresher. I spent 35$ for me and my friend just to be served stale food drenched in sauce to add some type of flavor to cover up the fact the food is half cooked.

This is a great dinner buffet. For lunch it's still ok. Made to order sushi, oysters and cherry stones on th half shell, crab legs, and crawfish are what make their dinner buffet stand out and weekend are best. Lunch has a very limited sushi list and other than that it's just regular American style Chinese food. The staff is ok and probly not played great so please tip well.

Love the Koi fish ponds...negative part is if you have children that are under 12 they WILL get charged the same price as adults depending on their size. I feel it is very discriminatory. I don't think that it is right that they assume the age of any child based on size. I have gone with my children and their friends all different sizes but same ages and the " taller/ bigger" kids get charged 15 a plate. Usually they charged 12 and under kids price. the greed is disappointing. This never happened until the growth spurs hit.. The woman who works the front is never happy and seems bothered by everyone, so it can be uninviting... The man who works the sushi/raw clam bar works his butt off especially on weekends and deserves his tips! Good food but they sometimes openly judge... Disrespect doesn't have a language.

My stomach hurts after our meal. Every single item I I put on my plate tasted disgusting. I can't even say anything good about the food. I'm not happy about paying $34 for two people and leaving with an upset stomach because the food was so bad. I went back and tried everything I could stomach hoping something would be good. Good overall buffet in the area. They are great for seating large groups, which is why we go for pretty much any last minute family gathering or easy celebrations like birthdays (20+ people need to sit). Decent maki rolls, food on the buffet is decent for buffet food but I wouldn’t eat anything raw there. Don’t bother going for the all you can eat crab legs. They let people queue up and there is pushing and shoving - even though you don’t get the crab it’s still a good value.

Bad and rude service. Unclear information and signs. They have over 3 signs that say “Wait to be seated” than you enter, they see you and just keep mingling amongst themselves. I even heard a waiter basically threatening a family when they couldn’t understand what he was trying to say. Food barely has any flavor. My advice, first spend your money at a Fast food rather than go here and spend too much money for 0 quality service and food. Not to forget that they have a sign that if they see you’re waisting food they can charge you 20% more on your tab. Bottom line DO NOT GO HERE!

Two stars at best!! The place is a pig-sty, dirty floors, booths, bathrooms along with the owner & staff having a constant unfriendly attitude. Ok so here’s my experience when I first walked in it seemed nice they have the fish pond on both sides nicely decorated ceilings... they had the right idea as far as presentation of their business... now as far as cleanliness I felt it was dirty after the dishes came out from being cleaned they were still greasy the spot we sat next to the fishes smelled of urine... most likely from the fish pond right next to us.. but still for me was a turn off... then the bathrooms were disgusting... the food was ok I was scared to eat it as I got food poisoning from the Asian Buffett in Meriden about a year ago....so I was selective with my food choices the Mac and cheese was awful but the rice and fruits were pretty good... overall food is ok... but cleanliness and price for me is a no go ... I probably won’t go there again

By far the worst restraunt I have ever visited the waitress was rude and started arguing with me about how my 9 year old cousin was going to have to pay for the adult menu... He did not eat a lot he is a 74 pound kid how much can he eat. She then later added on a 15% tip without the customers approval. The food, everything was stale and flavorless, I would rather eat a cardboard box than the general tso's chicken. Later me and multiple other people were sick. This place has great food is very cozy and all around awesome also the paintings on walls are on a canvas! We went on Easter Sunday. The size of the buffet is impressive. There is a big variety. Lots of seafood. We were seated immediately. The quality of the food was terrible. The boneless pork was so tough it was inedible. The string beans, broccoli, and most vegetables were so tough a knife wouldn't cut through. The duck sauce was watered down. It was basically a very bad experience and I would recommend trying somewhere else.

The staff here is HORRIBLE!! They walk past you while your eating, you feel like your being watched every move you make. They have a 2 hour limit which is ridiculous. I should be able to have a good, fun time with my family without being pressed for time. The food is average. Green beans still hard, crawfish dry, I could go on and on. The only good thing is the sushi bar. Anything you want is made rite then and there. But still I wouldn’t recommend this place. Save your money and go to Nancy Chang! Only a couple miles from this place.

As we walked in today for lunch there was 2 women who worked there in each pond with the fish with brooms scrubbing the floor of the ponds. All I could smell was fish poop !!! Omg !! Yuck !! My wife didn't smell anything., So we decided to stay and eat. Food was fresh and hot. But all I could smell was fish poop !!

Descent food for a monday. I recommend thursday thru friday for best results. Service is really not there strongsuit. But it is a buffet. Sushi is very good and made fresh.

Imperial Buffet is just one of the many buffet style restaurant chains available these days, however this one shines above the rest. There is a vast selection of different options to choose from. The food was fresh, and replaced regularly. And actually tasty. Not the bland overcooked fare. Wide variety of seafood. American , and Chinese standards, and whole crabs, and crawfish. The octopus was prepared well, and surprisingly not the expected rubbery texture. Additionally there were many fresh fruits and cakes, and puddings for dessert. Best of all the Buffet offered a manned sushi bar with a experienced person to create you roll. Staff were friendly and helpful, yet not the annoying pestering found in many buffets . Letting you enjoy your repast without interruption every few minutes. The restaurant itself is cozy. With booths and tables. A pleasant foyer with a Coy pond and bar. Prices are reasonable (17.00 adult) . Best of the Buffet style restaurants.

Food was fine, what I expect at a buffet. Service was terrible. Staff all looks miserable and they are rude, a server bumped into my son almost causing him to loose his plate. She then made a face and kept going not saying a word. Comes time for the check, they graciously gave themselves 15% tip because we were a party of 6?! At a buffet when they didn't even fill my water, left it empty the whole meal, and they add a tip for that!

This buffet was terrible. I recommend that you don't eat here. The food was edible to a point of dissatisfaction. The quality of the food being served was also very inconsistent. Some food choices were very good while others couldn't be digested. Their service to customers however was very remarkable as they continued to clear plates and refill drinks

It was my first time visiting there last night with my family and not even half an hour after leaving I had an upset stomach which lasted all night. I felt nauseous. Then this morning my daughter woke up with symptoms of food poisoning, vomiting and everything else. Very upsetting.

Food was good. Nothing super special especially for $15. There were a lot of seafood options for those that like that. I don't, so I would have preferred to see more chicken and beef options. I'll definitely come back for their lunch buffet - about $10 Monday-Saturday.

Lunch time buffet...pretty busy but we sat and ate right away. Waitress was attentive without hanging over us. Food was really good. Lots of traditional Chinese dishes plus lots of American too. My favorite was the General Tso chicken and stuffed dumplings. Lots of dessert items and fruit. Very reasonable...four of us ate for less than $50.

The quality of food is good, but not great. It's a place where you go when you want to eat a lot of food for less. I would definitely go back if I'm craving cheap Chinese food. Price, service, and cleanliness get five stars. Overall, pretty good. I recommend it.

Completely disgusted. From the moment i walked through the front door i had a bad feeling about this place. The fact that they need to post a sign saying they will charge $10 for any wasted plate is atrocious, its a BUFFET. People are going to try different things, and not eat what they do not like. My family and i walk in and there was no staff greeting at the podium, instead a woman stood across the restaurant and shouted "how many" in a rude manor. Completely unprofessional. I went to wash my hands and the smell was unbearable. Smelled as if they were using old molded mops to clean the floor. Finally got a plate and sat down. After trying almost everything and wanting to vomit from how old and stale most of the meat and seafood tasted I found a speck of light at the end of an extremely dark and twisted tunnel. The spicy beef and the white rice were all i could stomach toward the end. I looked around the table and told my family NEVER again would we eat there and to warn anyone we knew about this place. Negative points and does not even deserve to stay open in such a prestigious town.

By far my favorite buffet I've ever been to. I didn't have a lot of different things, but, the things I did have were amazing. I was most impressed by the fresh, made-to-order sushi. They literally have a guy who makes whatever you want from the menu right in front of you. I also enjoyed the crab rangoons, the fried dumplings and the crab casserole.

The best buffet in Worcester Area. Not only does the buffet offer a wide variety of quality foods it also includes sushi! The sushi menu is somewhat limited but with a small tip your only limited to one’s imagination and what is available fresh from the sushi bar. There is a fully stocked bar and of course soft drinks, a desert cart and ice cream. There is mixed and wide variety of quality foods in the buffet. There is definitely a qualitative difference between various Asian family buffet joints. Most follow a tired formula: Sushi isn't real, food is bathed in grease (and low quality), and with the ambience of a funeral parlor. The few stations with western food are limited to fast food staples, like cold pizza & fries.... But, not Imperial Buffet. This one is a cut above other Smörgåsbords! Ambiance is elegant and the staff is exceptionally courteous. Food quality, presentation and freshness is quite good, especially the special order area, Finally, the prices are only slightly higher than greasy, formula-driven slop houses.

Wish I could give this place a zero. They give a 2 hour limit and a sign that say they charge for unfinished plates. 2 people in our party with me got sick and almost puked. When we told them about it, they said their food checked good and no one else got sick. 15 mins later when we left they were cleaning 2 puke piles literally 3 feet from their front door. Oh and let's not forget to mention the fact they give themselves mandatory 15% forced tips on the bill. Will not come here again, and will report to the health department when I get home

a wonderful combination of reasonable pricing and an extreme array of delicious food makes this an excellent stop for travelers in Connecticut. They have a large selection of some of the finest Seafood along with a whole list of other menu choices. As you enter you have on both sides koi fish ponds they are a wonderful addition to the atmosphere of the restaurant. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. This is an excellent choice for someone unsure of exactly what it is they want to have to eat but would enjoy a whole list of choices to pick from.

I have been going here for years with my family. The food it great. The only tip i have is to make sure that you tip the guy making the sushi and cracking oysters open. Make sure he sees you tipping him. I swear if not he will have the nastiest attitude. He literally and seriously looks like jet lee. You can't miss him.

Hello All, I think the 3.9 stars are way over rated. This place advertises crab legs but I called on 3 different occasions and was told by the receptionist they no longer have crab legs. Not only is this false advertisement but the woman who picked up the phone was VERY RUDE each time I called. I think people who have restaurants need to remember who keeps the buisisness staying afloat, THE CUSTOMER. So leave the rudeness at home and bring a smile and great CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS with you into work. Trust me it will benifit you more in the long run..... I would say skip imperial and hit up Royal Buffet in Waterbury for good food, customer service, and a fair price....

They hand make sushi fresh right there on the spot exactly what you want! I love the koi pond at the entrance. The food was fresh and hot. And the individual serving ice cream cups is genius! First time I have ever seen this at a buffet. Staff was attentive and very friendly! This will be a regular spot for us for sure.

My experience eating here started pleasant; the waitress was friendly, and allowed us to sit near the coy pond after sitting us in another area. It quickly took a turn for the worse. We quickly realized we were dissatisfied with the food and asked to speak to a manager about it. My friend & I had small plates and barely touched any of the food, didn't even get second servings. The manager rudely told us she doesn't care about dissatisfied customers and after threatening to call the cops on us and banned us from returning. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.
