As you can see the average score it has is practically the top, and it is founded on a high number of scores, so we can say that the valuation is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to place tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant is included in the category of Asian restaurant.
Fantastic food full of flair and flavor quiet atmosphere waiting to be discovered
My fave, great dishes, homestyle athmosphere
Great rolls. Place was like the size of my room at home.
Awesome
Great service and food. I love the rice bowls and the sushi is the best I've had in upper NY. Recommend bringing a small car if you can, because parking is tight. It's a small and quiet place though, so bring the kids somewhere else.
Good food friendly owners, fresh very fresh food..!!
I brought my girlfriend to this place on our first date. Honestly, we just hit the google search tab looking for somewhere local and this place popped up. We didnt know what to expect but what a cute little restaurant! Its family owned businesses like this that really catch your eye. The owners are as friendly as can be, the food is fantastic and if you're trying to get some real personal 1 on 1 time with a date or your already better half then this is the place! It's small, yet quiet and oh so cozy! You will not be disappointed! -Andrew
We come here at least twice a month. It is by far the best sushi joint in town, perhaps the state. I highly recommend Edo.
Great food. Try the Bimbibapp for a warm bowl of heaven : )
Loved the food and service. I ordered the teriyaki lunch special and was surprised by the amount of food, but I ate it all.
Love this place ! Small but food is delicious!
One of my favorite spots in town! Bring your own bottle of wine and enjoy the quaint, familiar feel of the place. Everything I've tried has been a hit. My favorites: "Don't Ask Me" Roll (Japanese/sushi) & Jaeyuk-Gooi (hot Korean). Both amazing.
This place is fantastic, I've never had a bad meal here. The staff is amazing and quick to respond to your needs and the food is very well priced.
Very good
Good food and friendly staff. Best Korean food in town. Bibimbap never disappoints. And nothing beats a steaming soft tofu soup on a cold winter day :)
Delicious, authentic Korean food. Warm and friendly staff.
"this is a cozy small building that has about 10 -12 tables and a 4-seater sushi bar. jay and his wife jenny are very friendly and most accomodating. i like to go there just for the friendly vibe. but the main reason is the food. he works hard to make it authentic korean food. sushi is fresh are delicious. the korean food are friendly to the american palate. i""ve been a regular since he opened."
Delicious food. I've had the take out lunch box a few times and it's a feast. I highly recommend.
Awsome food!
Loved this place sushi is so good
The delicious food is always prepared with such care and beautifully presented. Jay is a master of his craft, and takes time to make us feel at home with his warm smile.
One of my locale favs. Amazing Gobdal and the sushi is the best in town by far
Outstanding!!!!
Clean. Fresh. Good.
Excellent. Every dish was delicious.
Wonderful and dedicated staff. I always enjoy coming here. I highly recommend Edo II if you like sushi or would like to try popular Korean dishes. I always have leftovers when I order the Gobdol Bibimbab and Jaeyuk - good to share.
Great Korean and Japanese food. We have been there several times and gotten the tofu soup, Bibimbap, and Bulgogi and Japchae and other dishes like Sashimi. All was very good. Our favorites are the tofu soup and Bibimbap. Those are both done a little better than the other dishes.
Cosy Japanese and Korean restaurant. All the menu is delicious. The only one I trust for sashimi in Danbury.
Great little place enjoyed it. Waitress was excellent helped us with our choices. My first time there. Will be back.
Cozy Japanese/Korean style restaurant with hot stone bowl dishes and unique sushi rolls. BYOB at this location. Outdoor seating available.
Edo II is a tiny little place, with just 6 tables and 2 seats at a bar, but it's a classic kind of small. We ordered 3 dishes: a Korean pancake, a tofu bimbibap, and a stone bowl potato-noodle dish with shrimp that I forget the name of. The pancakes where somewhat bland without their dipping sauce, while I found the sauce itself more vinegary than anything else. It may be a matter of taste, but I was not a fan. Conversely, I did like the bimbibap, especially after adding some of the spicy red sauce you seem to find at Korean places. My father didn't like his noodle dish, but I suspect that's because he didn't add much of the sauce, since he found it too spicy. I'd recommend checking this place out if you like spicy food. Otherwise, maybe try one of their soups or give it a pass.
Always a delight! Jay-san & his wife a beautiful ppl & u can taste the love!
The food was so delicious that we ordered more ! The servings were large, the sushi was fresh and the rice was sizzling. Even the service was really great.
Great little place for Korean or Japanese
Great food!
Good sushi, great Korean food.
Place is small amd cozy, nice menu of Japanese and Korean cuisine. Gobdol here is amazing, meat cooked perfectly, sushi is interesting, not the kind of rolls you find everywhere else which can be considered good or bad. Worth stopping by. Also keep in mind it's small so you smell whatever they are cooking but another review mentioened grease and I had no issue with that.
Best bibimbap around
This place has delicious food with such a friendly staff. Don’t judge it by how it looks from the outside. Small but very clean and cozy
Holy Gobdols! I have wanted to try Edo II for quite some time and I am so happy we went there for family dinner night tonight. The restaurant is very small and cozy and you feel like you're having a family meal at home. The service is friendly, attentive, and unintrusive. Our kids have seafood and nut allergies and they graciously reviewed what we ordered for them to make sure. We had miso soup appetizer with kimchi and assorted vegetable tidbits. For main course we had 3 sizzling Gobdols: the kids shared the organic brown rice with pork, my wife had the shrimp, and I had the bibimbab with pork. They were sizzling, fresh, colorful, flavorful, and delicious. The kids aged 9 and 6 finished their Gobdol without any urging and they kept saying on the way back home how much they loved it. We can't wait to be back!
mom is the cook, dad sushi chef and front of the house. great little korean find. go with gobdol (korean version of paella) or jeayuk gui (spicy pork and cabbage.) well worth the trip.
good food but the restaurant is too small and smoke goes on your clothes
Food was good, service is great, a little bit pricey but amount of food makes up for the price. Restaurant is small but cozy and clean.
Stopped by while doing business in the area. Mistakenly tried to park in the big parking lot and had not one but two people tell me my car would get towed since the lot was for dental employees. I understand English. Don't have to tell me twice. Those employees really have nothing better to do. Don't go to that dental hospital. So I parked in Edo's smaller parking lot. The place is TINY. It had like 5 small tables. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box. It was mostly rice and udon noodles. There was not enough chicken. First time ordering a chicken teriyaki bento box with a few chicken pieces atop of a bed of udon noodles. The salad tasted like refrigerator. It was all mediocre at best.
First time, loved it. Went on lunch break, back in time for work no problem. Will be back!
muy buen lugar y la comida muy saludable
Best sushi and Korean food in the area
Great food . Hope to get there more often.
Good food, nice place and staff.
I have gone there many times in the last few years. The food has always been consistent and the wait staff friendly. I have eaten a variety of the food from the Hot dishes like the gondola bibimibob (I may have spelt that wrong) to the cold cooked and raw sushi rolls. I have always had delicious food there.
Omg the sushi are amazing , so good and fresh, I recommend, now this is our favorite place
I really enjoy coming here for Korean food. Jiggae and hot stone bowl are always so flavorful and can taste the care and pride in it. Although they don't have a huge menu, their quality makes up for it. Sushi is always good and I usually like to go for their signature rolls because they put nice twists to traditional sushi. Wonderful family that runs the place. Humble and very sweet. Small hole in the wall but rumor has it they are moving to another bigger location. With that in mind, hoping the menu expands with some Korean snack food.
Excellent sushi and an interesting mix of both Japanese and Korean cuisine. The Gobdol is amazing. This is a VERY small restaurant but I think this adds to the atmosphere. Very enjoyable and extremely friendly staff and owner. Highly recommended!
Great Korean food. Didn't try the sushi, but I can get that anywhere. Here on business and a coworker took us there. Menu's not that broad but what they offer was truly authentic, not "Americanized"
We love it here. The best sushi in the surrounding area, awesome Korean food, great atmosphere, wonderful staff.
This restaurant was great. It is very small but it is perfect. I had steamed shrimp shumai and two sushi rolls. The fish was extremely fresh and the flavors were bold. The sushi chef was friendly and the sushi bar is right there so you can see the fresh fish. They have a lot of creative roll choices. I would 100% recommend this place and go back.
Good food. Slow service.
Best spring rolls everrr! Always fresh, hot and delicious food!
Cozy little sushi place. Never had a disappointing meal. There EDO sushi is a must!
This is my favorite restaurant. The sushi is extremely fresh and the nabe udon is excellent.
Food is fresh and always worth the cost.
(Translated by Google) It is small and clean, and the food comes out neatly. The menu we ate was Sukdobu and Bento ... (Original) 아담하고 깨끗해요 음식도 깔끔하게 잘 나옵니다 저희가 먹은 메뉴는 순두부와 벤또... 불고기 간이 좀 아쉬웠어요.. 순두부 너무 맛있어요..
Food is wonderful. Staff are very nice.
Great food. The owner was very nice and accommodated us even without a reservation. Menu was a mix of Korean and Japanese. All the flavors were authentic. I spent 3 years living in Korea and this was very typical Korean fare. Would recommend reservations.
My family s a long time costumer of this cozy restaurant,we’ve enjoyed every meal. We highly recommend it
Good place
One Star.. limited menu
Awesome food!
Excellent, authentic Japanese and Korean food in a welcoming environment.
Great food and great service!
Great Bibimbap!
pretty good food
my fav location for asian food. nothing to complain about. the staff was helpful and kind. prices that won't break you.
It is amazing to find athentic Korean food outside of the city.
Best Korean and Japanese restaurant in this neighborhood. I will definitely come over again.
The food here is always the freshest. Ingredients are chosen carefully and combined artfully. They serve up the best food in the area hands down! By far the best sushi anywhere, nd the Korean food is as good as I've had anywhere. FYI I've eaten all types of Asian food in many, many places and you just can't go wrong at Edo II.
Great sushi, nice an quaint atmosphere.
Really surprised!fresh and authentic good food
Awesome place, very good quality sushi I do not order from the menu I let sushi chef pick out my meal never disappointed.
Great food and very courteous staff. Will come back often.
So good...whether you choose Korean or Japanese plates, satisfies.
Best Korean family run restaurant in danbury.Food was incredible I had the gobdul as my main dish and I had some rolls for appetizer both were fresh and amazing. This place is also BYOB so bring in some wine or a beer they will supply the glasses. It's a nice small cozy place to hang out I like going there during the week because it dose get crowded on the weekend. PS. Parking is also limited so if the parking lot is full restaurant is full, they have enough parking just for the amount of people it holds
The sizzling bibimbap is extremely bitter! This is to the point that it is almost inedible. Neither of the waitresses seem to care and they did absolutely nothing about the dish. The parking space is teeny tiny, so think twice before you come in.
Great place excellent food
Worst restaurant experience in my life! Looked for a Korean restaurant in Danbury and based on reviews decided to visit it. We got there on a Saturday night around 6:30 PM. The 3 of us and another group of 3 got the two last tables of appx seven tables in the restaurant. We placed our order quite quickly and then we got our drinks and water and then we waited, waited, and waited for over 20 min...no food was coming out of the kitchen that all time except for a sushi pickup. Waiters were seemed panicking, owner telling them not to take any more phone orders. finally after 10 minutes we asked the waiter what is going on...his reply is that they are backed up and it will take another 30 minutes! BACKED UP for what? there are 7 tables in the whole restaurant. Apparently the wife is the only cook, the owner prepares the sushi by himself and they are taking phone orders...jeez hire some help or don't take any phone orders at all, people drove all the way to your restaurant so please have the courtesy to serve them on time. This place is not only a disgrace to Korean food and hospitality, it is a disgrace to call itself a restaurant. When a kitchen is prepared and well run, then Korean food should be served quickly and efficiently! This place ruined our Saturday night...we had to go eat at the dinner next door which was average but quick... Avoid this place at all costs unless you plan on going on a very slow night and make sure you ask your waiter how long the wait is for the food...
The sushi was fantastic! But the Gobdols are even better
Really good! We stopped in on our way, just relying on reviews. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent.
Sushi was fresh & delicious! Whenever Im in the area I will definitely stop here again.
Good.
Small and personable with well-prepared Korean and Japanese dishes. Pluses include the sizzling rice bowls and sushi rolls. Found the Korean pancakes a bit too heavy and oily and not a fan of the TV but these are small quibbles. This is a place I keep returning to, and with friends and family.
always a great meal. the owner and employees are always friendly and polite. the food is always on point and quick. small, but quiet and peaceful atmosphere. parking is a bit cramped, but that's the only drawback to eating here! sushi is great and my personal favorite, the gabdal bibimbap is to die for.
Enjoyed my food, and service was quick and pleasant. A cozy little restaurant!
Best sushi in Danbury!
I like here!
Love this place! Excellent sushi and Korean offerings with friendly attentive service in a very cozy space. Chef/owner is personable and delivers a truly great experience every time I dine here.
5 stars for great Korean food and sushi. Zero star for suffocating greasy, un-ventilated kitchen exhaust that fills the small dinning area. 2 stars for friendly but inept and slow service. Prepare to shower and wash all clothing items afterwards - too bad you couldn't cleanse vacuum our lungs as well.
It's small but very good food
Love this place, quiet, Good food, great service
asian food at this place - delicious. the food was amazing. i look forward to a return trip.
Go for the gobdols they are great. Also excellent sushi. Always a great experience.
Cozy place but taste is good.
So we're from out of town, actually, out of Connecticut on the other side of the state and wanted to try some Korean dishes here. Got on the phone with Jake and he helped me through the order easily. I ordered to go... too bad it would of been nice to eat there given that Jake was also really good looking- my food would of tasted even way better, LOL! Overall, great first experience!
brilliant and authentic.
A very good and creative sushi selection. The atmosphere is cozy which can be made even cozier by being able to being your own bottle of wine. I highly recommend their bibimbap!
My wife is Korean American and described this place as tasting and feeling like home. This is truly authentic Korean food!
Everything on the menu is incredible! A must try in you are in the Danbury area. Best sushi around hands down.
Looks like this is your only choice in Danbury for Korean, you're lucky you got a good one! As a frequent traveler and husband of a wonderful Korean women I get my fare share of amazing Korean food. Edo II was just perfect and just what I was looking for that night. The restaurant was clean and well designed, staff was very friendly and attentive. I went straight for the Korean side of the menu and was pleased with the selection; you'd find most of the common Korean dishes listed. I went with the Dae-ji Bul-go-gi. It was presented beautifully and with a nice set of small sides. The portion was way to large for me (easily enough for two) and I guess for the size it's price was acceptable. If I ever come back to Danbury this place will be on my list for a return meal! P.S. Parking looks limited, and the seating is limited. No alcohol, but you can bring in your own.
Freshly prepared, tasty food!
Cozy environment, friendly staff, AMAZING food!!
Amazing!
Amazing dishes and great service! Will be visiting again.
To any of you who read that, take in mind that when your order is slow, it's because we break our backs going back and forth doing multiple things at once and we're always backed up. Like i said before, This place violates labor laws..
The best Sushi we have had in this area!!!!!
Excellent!
Delicious home cooked meal in an intimate setting. Will definitely be back.
在这附近算是挺不错的。老板听起来是日本人。食材不错,推荐
Never had Korean food before, but decided to try Edo II since I've driven by this place frequently. Everything was fresh and plated up nicely. I don't have much of a basis for comparison to other Korean places, but I will say that I liked it quite a bit and will come back. I had the gobdol bibimbap bowl which was really nice; it really sizzled. My date had nabe udon off the Japanese menu, which she really liked. We shared steamed gyoza appetizers and thought these were quite good; they didn't taste as doughy as some we've had over the years. Two knocks, both easily resolved. First, the two waiters were young, inexperienced and not familiar with the menu; the owner/chef came out and answered our questions promptly, however. Second, the green tea ice cream dessert appeared to be purchased and not made on site -- it could very well have been those little frozen nuggets of green tea ice cream in breading that they used to sell at Trader Joe's.
Had the pork tenderloin box lunch special. Very flavorful and filling. Kind service. Quaint place. Would definitely go again!
Where my dream started and disappeared.
Very nice place to get sushi or Korean food. The sashimi was very fresh and I enjoyed the Dragon roll. I was a big fan of how cozy the space was, it is a small place but very cozy. Service was attentive and the food came out quick. There is no alcohol sold here but they do encourage bringing your own. I really liked this place, one of the better sushi I've had in Danbury.
Best Sushi and Sashimi
I enjoy eating the Spider Rolls and bulgogi here!
Amazing traditional Japanese/Korean food. Definitely call to make a reservation because it's a tiny location.
Very overpriced. The sushi was good but not outstanding and the bibimbap was a disappointment. It had almost no meat and was completely flavorless. It didn't even come with kimchi. And the banchan it did have were 3 tiny broccoli florets, unseasoned (I'm not exaggerating) and some pickeld radish. I won't go again.
Kind of expensive, not very delicious
Good food, service horrible.
Great food!
Best place to eat fresh Korean food. Great service, chef greets you and asks how food is. Overall great experience!
The building may be small but the food and service is huge. This is first-class Japanese and Korean fare that not only tastes delicious but is artistically crafted to look delicious. The sushi and sashimi are expertly prepared; if you're really hungry go for the dinner combo which not only includes large portions of both but also Miso soup and salad. You can tell the rolls (e.g. vegatable) are homemade, they have that paper thin pastry fresh taste and texture to them unlike those at many restaurants that simply buy frozen. I really like the quiet, intimate setting (which lends itself to quick and great service), the quality and presentation of the food as well as its convenient location.
Wonderful little place. Awesome food and atmosphere.
