Although I'm not a long-time supporter of Duchess, I can honestly say that they've been consistently good for the past couple of years that I've been frequenting there. I've had the breakfast sandwiches, one of their Chef salads, a mango smoothie, and on a few other occasions, I've enjoyed the meatloaf dinner. I've also tried their burgers. This time, however, I went for the patty melt (and a good chocolate shake) it was absolutely delicious! it came with some bacon on it. Love that they have decent parking. They also have a drive through even though the wait... Maybe it's always kind of long because everything is prepared fresh. At any rate, the only reason I didn't give the patty melt a "5 All Day" is because it wasn't quite as good as the one I had at Merritt Canteen.

The BRIDGEPORT location is THE slowest & most poorly serviced store. I'll go there when I have 45 minutes for a burger... FYI, my shop is right around the corner. Good food but EXPECT a 20-30 minute wait.

The french fries were so greasy I am ashamed to show anyone the bag they should have put some napkins in the bag to soak up all that grease! I also order a hot dog with chilli and mustard with onions and paid for it! and what I got was a hot dog with mustard and onions so I gave it back and then got a hot dog with chilli and onions! I gave up and threw that lousy food in the garbage! What a waste of 8 bucks! Today was even worse I ordered a BLT and I have pictures and the chilli cheese fries were SWIMMING IN GREASE again! Well needless to say that I had to go back and get what I ordered I decided against the the nasty fries and got 1.50 refund! This place has to be the worst in history!

Usually really great, especially during lunch time, you may have to wait a little longer because they're very busy at lunch time but it's worth it. I love how kind they always are at this location, they've really got some great employees. I always enjoy going to Duchess in Shelton, CT.

With places like Capitol Grille 20 minutes away, why would anyone want to visit the armpit of New England for a poor meal at best? This is the question we are asking ourselves now after dropping $300 on what was supposed to be excellent food. The house salad was good, but that's where it ends.

The only place to get BLT's. It's not just fast food, its fresh food. Yes it has a drive thru. Yes they take cards here, Yes there is a handicap parking area. Average 5 to 6 dollar sandwiches. $25 for 2 people to eat lunch. They often forget napkins, utensils and condiments...check your bag before you drive away!

Ordered French Toast for my daughter there was hair in the food and a gnat inside the container as well. Disgusting!! I took the food back and as expected (the staff there always have the worst attitude) the manager was rolling her eyes and giving me attitude. I won't be coming back here EVER! & Honestly I believe half of the positive reviews up here are fake, all mentioning how cozy the restaurant is, when it's not, it's actually dirty. And mentioning the great service when the customer service here is FAR from acceptable.

Another place where everything is good. Everything is cooked to order and ingredients are delivered daily. They also have breakfast available all day. They have 2 Coca Cola Freestyle machines. They also have a drive thru. Duchess has been a go to place ever since i was little. Its typical good american food, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, etc.

This duchess location is not too bad. I go here for lunch occasionally and its not too crowded. there's a car wash that offers a discount to duchess customers since they share a lot so that's a nice things to have around if you're getting food. They messed up my order one time but I wont hold it against them

They make you wait in a long line ...then take your money to tell you to move up to a line to make you wait another 5-10min...not ever saying things like, sorry for the wait- please understand ...they just like pull up...so after waiting , they bring your food over a railing making you reach and struggle to grab it....Oh after 20 min of waiting , they bring you the wrong order and get mad when asked to fix it ...nasty attitudes, cold food and rude ...

Some would say they is a 5-star place, and others would say it's a 1-star place. As long as you're expecting fast, greasy food, inattentive and untactful employees, and are willing to not touch the greasy counter tops, you'll enjoy this place! Seriously, the food was yummy. Just know that you're paying cheap and getting cheap.

I used to love Duchess, especially for their bbq sauce to dip but I noticed they changed it to Sweet Baby Rays and now I feel like they messed up with that change! They HAD the best bbq sauce... go back to your original bbq.

HORRIBLE customer service. Management needs to hire better employees because everyone who works here is plain rude. Orders are always wrong and I witnessed employees working with dirty hands. Never eating here again! DISGUSTING!!! This place needs to be shut down.!!

My experience today has convinced me never to return to location again. The housekeeper mopped the entire floor with a dipping wet mop. Not once did he but up a wet floor sign and to make matters worse he asked customers to lift their fleets so that he could mop under their feet while they were eating. The floor stayed wet for more then 20 mins in most places and dirtier than when he started. Manager on site allowed this to happen

I love the chicken nuggets but not the service. They didn't know they had a 9 piece. And tried to convince me they didn't even though it's clearly on the menu. They also told me 3 different prices. I had to explain that it says 4.59 right there in front of our faces. Still love the chicken nuggets even though I had to wait 15 minutes for them to be walked out to my car.

Customer service was horrible. Everyone from the drive through speaker, to the service window just had horrible attitudes. Almost like they couldn't stand being there. And their attention to instructions was even worse. I asked for two hotdogs, light ketchup and they managed to other both hotdogs in nothing but ketchup.

Food was okay, but while I was sitting eating I had a view of the kitchen area and the floor was dirty. My wife informed the manager and he seemed like he didn't care. We continued to eat for about 15 minutes and no one tried to clean the floor while walking and steeping over the trash. If this area that you can see in plain site is dirty, what does that say about the rest of the kitchen.

Yes the food is delish, it's an upscale steak house. However, what makes me want to pay $200+ for a meal for two is the service. I was extremely impressed by the service. They are attentive and kind. This restaurant is extra special to me because I got engaged here! :)

The worse Duchess restaurant to go too for food. If they make a mistake with your food the manager Nicole, dose not care about giving good customer service, she will curse you out , and will refuse to give you your money back or even fix the problem, shes very unprofessional and dose not care about her job or the paying customers, who are actually paying for her salary . I will definitely dont recommend this Duchess to no one, if you wanna eat good Duchess food and get GREAT service, and where they actually care for their costumers go to the one in Fairfield or Milford. Do not give or spend your money at this location.

For a fast food place, this is pretty fresh. The food takes a little bit longer but at least you know its being cooked and not re-heated. Normally I will never eat seafood from a fast food place but the breaded shrimp is delicious along with the Asian chicken salad. I had tried the breakfast sandwiches but the bread is too much so I tried the breakfast platter and its not bad, tastes homemade. My husband and I will always choose this fast food place over anywhere else because of the quality and the variety of options of the food.

oday I went to the duchess in Bridgeport CT before work I went to the drive threw at 638 there was no cars in front or in back I ordered a cold turkey sandwich and soup ... she asked me to pull up I said is there a wait she says no ... 22 minutes later I went to get my money back at 702 ... there was no apology the woman said well we gotta cook the food fresh.. I ordered a cold turkey sandwich and soup! Not only was the wait horrible customer service was bad

They gave my drivethru order to the car in front of me. The customer was going through the bag and opening my wrapped sandwiches, and found it was not her order. Girl comes out and the customer gave the girl MY order that she just went through.The girl then tries to give me the food that someone went through. I asked the girl for a refund. She tells me “I will not!”. I told her that I was not going to move my car until they gave me a refund, and that I had all day to sit there. After 15 minutes of clogging up the drive thru, they came out with the refund. Nasty people, can’t get an order right, poor management, and not responsive to customer complaints. I will NEVER go back.

The food over here is great, I always get it by drive through but one fine day I had enough time and I bought it from the counter. I was never discriminated racially that much ever. The guy ahead of me was treated really good. And they guy after me too. I donno what happened to her after she looked at me, she just left the counter and turned back checking her phone. I asked her twice to take my order, the first time she didn't respond and the second time she literally gave me a very serious look and took the order with utmost resistance on her face. She didn't even greet or thank or anything. She took the order, threw my coupon on the table and asked for the next guy in line to come forward and she became the sweetest person all of a sudden. I still buy food over there because of the taste but I'm never going in again. Hope someone finds this survey and fix the issue.

Good quick service for a busy Sunday morning when I went most recently. My only complaint about Duchess is that the breakfast sandwiches, like a bacon egg and cheese, is very skimpy on the eggs and bacon. Basically it's a big roll with a small piece of egg and cheese with a few strips of bacon. However I do really like their burgers. They are very good every time unlike other fast food places were one day your burger is perfect and another day the same order will be made differently. Overall a great place to take the family for a inexpensive meal.

So I've been going to this Duchess for a while and on Thursday 2-28 the girl at the drive though was rude and disrespectful and having young people working for you that have no respect is the reason why some business don't do well because after she was rude when I came to the window she gave the head set to someone else because she couldn't even face me but you can be rude over the intercom but then run away customer service is at an all-time low there and I will not be using their services anymore I will drive the extra 5or10 mins to go to Lordship plus food is always cold and they mess up orders all the time and it's just not worth the aggravation so I would recommend the Duchess on Lordship

My son went in for food while I waited outside with our bikes. This appears to primarily be a drive thru location. There is no seating outside, and the area itself is filthy industrial / commercial, with the smell of a water treatment plant nearby. Lots of traffic noise from Street and nearby highway. Food is ok but they were out of chocolate creme pie and I settled for a tiny cookie creme pie overpriced for $3. I also got an ice water in a tiny plastic cup.

This local fast food chain which has been around for over forty years runs circles around any of the national chains. The menu is extensive. The freshness of the rolls used in the burgers makes a huge difference. Try the "Big D" chili burger and the onion rings!
