This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Korean restaurant.
Visited the place with several friends and tried Korean BBQ and Bibimbab in a hot stone bowl from their lunch specials and they were both delicious. The interior was sophisticated and the staff were friendly. Will definitely visit again.
One of the best Tofu Stew that I've ever had.. I have to say, it was better than BCD. Generous amount of seafood and tofu, very little to no MSG, and very flavorful. Asked for steamed eggs to buy but they gave it to us for free. Quality service. Haven't tried the bbq but will be back for the SoonDuBu again. Cheers.
Food is excellent, and so is service. It’s a little pricier than some of the other Korean BBQ places, but I was excited to have a place like this in Stamford. Will definitely go back.
The service and food here was really good. They cook the meat right at your table. The ladies were really nice and attentive
Me and a group of friends were going for lunch one afternoon, we were new to the restaurant and wanted to try it but as we walk in they were about to close for dinner and rushed us to order our food, we followed our waiter to a table and he was giving off a careless vibe and was rude the whole time we were there. We all get our orders in and the food comes out and it was good I won’t lie about that. As were all about to pay we ask the waiter to split the bill so each individual pays for what they order and he comes back with the bill split evenly between all of us from the total. We asked for each individuals seperate bill and said he can’t do that. What kind of restaurant can’t seperate a bill, were teens and we don’t have a lot of money so some paid more than what he had to for our meal and others paid less but we were all friends so it was fine. We left a $2 tip because the service wasn’t even that good, the only guy we wanted to tip honestly was the guy that was cooking the meat for our friend, he was the only one doing anything to make sure our time spent there was great. As we walk out the doors, the waiter follows us out and scolds us for not leaving a tip bigger than $2. Service was terrible they should be grateful we even left a tip. He made us all leave a bigger tip and we all spent way more than we intended. Don’t plan on going back, a 1 star restaurant has better service than this place.
I LOVE IT HERE!!! The service is great! The food is delicious! It is overall such a great place and I recommend it. I will come here again no doubt about it.
I was very excited to finally try the new Korean restaurant in my neighborhood that took over a year to open... Walked in at 9:29pm with my buddy to have a massive dinner and was asked to wait at the door while yoga pants hostess ran to her manager to ask permission to sit us. Unfortunately, small guy with glasses had delivered terrible news that kitchen just closed and we should return tomorrow because they will be open late. He wasn’t particularly rude but turning down customers at a time when it clearly states on Google that the restaurant is open is simply unacceptable. There was a group of 4 people walking in right after us and they were unfortunate, as well. I guess they don’t need our business, hence they will never see us again. Atmosphere is a bit cheesy. Food might have some potential but I haven’t tried it and won’t be very helpful in that respect. One star for being inconsiderate to a bunch of hungry people.
Was awesome food, kind staffs and atmosphere
Good Korean food with delicious soup/stew and fried rice with meats/vegetables. The things I don't like are the sticky floor and extremely cold air conditioning.
We had an amazing experience in this place. We liked the excellent atmosphere and the meals. The staff are super friendly. I’m content we ultimately managed to visit this restaurant.
Can't give a good review because I was not served. Went in around 8pm and there was no one at the bar. Went upstairs and waited at the desk for a waiter or any one to seat us. After 5 minutes of waiting my brother and I decided to take a seat. Still waiting for a server to acknowledge us, we waited while two waiters walked past us without even looking our way to even say someone would be right with us. Overall I am very disappointed with the service we got especially because I chose the restaurant and was looking forward to it.
Finally, a Korean BBQ restaurant in Stamford... The food is excellent and can match up to the Korean restaurants in NYC... The staffs are friendly & helpful but the place is a bit under staffed so the service slows down at time... Overall had a pretty good time there.
Excellent place to get real koreana food, very polite staff, food came out quick and all the side dishes(for free!!! ) were delicious.Deco is a very neat and cozy place. BBQ,you can grill at your own table and Korean foods have to really enjoy this place. I love it♡♡♡
Delicious food, great service! Just like in Korea!
The price of the food does not match with its quality. Staff was inattentive, despite repeated requests for the check. Will not dine here again.
Wonderful service and the best galbi and jopchae around.
The place and food is great but the staff really need more training
Never going back. Restaurant is decent looking. Service was okay at best but food was below par.
Korean restaurants aren't known for their service but this place is an outlier. 10 min to get water. 20 min to take order. 30 min to get first appetizer and incorrect appetizer. Entres served 20 min apart for our party. Not the fault of the waitresses as they are sprinting around like mad. Management needs to hire more staff!!
Food was good! One of the ladies that work there who love my friends because they go there so often, call them her children and she calls herself their Korean mom or 엄마, which is cute! Service was really nice overall and I would come here again!
Excellent quality of beef and food. Nice and kind staffs. Very satisfied to have Korean restaurant near my town.
Friendly staff, always smiling. Fast, always willing to serve you well. Well prepared authentic Korean food in the area. We always come here because they make us feel like welcome. A lot of Korean/Asians eating here. We always order something different.
Many options, tasty food, friendly service.
if non-korean, you won’t know what your missing out on. If korean, this restaurant is a huge disappointment. If human, 2/10 service, missing garlic slices (huge necessity in kbbq), and overall subpar food. Seriously, don’t go here if you are either korean or don’t like good service.
Love it
I went there for my friend's birthday party and the serve was fantastic! The ladys there were so nice and patient with us. Also the food was so good! Would definitely be going back for more. Highly recommended!
The place needs a good manager. The waiters really try to be helpful but they are not skilled. No menu for 15 minutes after we had been sitted. No water unless asked. No napkins unless asked. The plates were falling here and there at the restaurant and the whole atmosphere seemed crazy. But you know what? I will come again. Because I liked the food. A set of beef for 2-3 people is 80$. Along with the meat there comes rice, vegetables, eggs and a lot if small plates with something Korean. It was good! And it was cooked on the grill on the table. Nice )
Bottom sirloin was really good! Highly recommend!
very good
No one explained the food to us. We'd never had Korean BBQ before. Also, it took 20 mins for a server to come talk to us. The couple that got sat after us was greeted before we were smh. 2 stars because once we did her our food it was ok.
Food was great, offsetting the average service. Appetizers came together with the meat cooked at the table, so a lot of stuff going on at the same time :). Definitely recommend!!
This is the best Korean food I’ve had in the northeast outside of NYC. The food is delicious and authentic and the portion sizes are great! Korean food is always on the pricey side due to the quality ingredients and all the side dishes that come with the entrees. The weekday lunch menu and prices can’t be beat and are a good way to give it a try if you haven’t been yet. The kalbi is good but their bulgogi is even better. I don’t usually write reviews but I really hope this place succeeds as I need a good local Korean spot!
I’ve been going to this place since they first opened. At this point they’ve ironed out all of the kinks. The quality of the steaks are the best you will find in the industry. I’ve spoke with the owner specifically about his desire to have the highest quality product for the guests and he really doesn’t disappoint. It’s a fun experience and unlike any other in our area outside of Queens. They make good cocktails, they have a huge selection of banchan (authentic Korean side dishes), bimbap rice bowls are a huge portion and couldn’t be more authentic. I highly recommend a combo meal. Their new chef is well known in the Industry and you can taste why. Great for groups, families and a fun date night. You’ll find you are served by people who care about what they are presenting and really know how it should be prepared.
I’ve eaten BBQ here twice and bibimbap another time - delicious! Great banchan and fusion side dishes as well. A great first Korean BBQ experience for anyone, but also very authentic.
Staff was very nice and food was great!
Meh. That's about it. Meh. It's not that they're not trying - the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It's just that the flavors are _very_ watered down. About the only good thing on the menu is the pajeon, and that's largely because it's basically near-fried. But the rest - the soups, the bi-bim-bop, and most of all, the banchan - there's just no there there. Sigh. I was hoping for more
I was excited to see a new Korean BBQ spot in Stamford. From the outside it looks amazing. However, there was really no explanation of the food. Menu was hard to decipher. Wait staff was friendly but overwhelmed and understaffed. Food was okay. Very bland tasting. Offered no alternative sauces.
Soooooo good... Darn it, started drooling just remembering the 갈비.
Service is disappointed. After I ordered food, about 5mins later, different server came to me and asking to order again! One of waitress, seem like a manager, she nearly yelled at the servers cross the hallway about one of waitress’s mistakes. But the worst thing is quality of the food. I ordered seafood soup but it was a cocktail shrimp soup??!?? I am a korean and I eat Korean food regulary. I know, what is korean sea food soup should to be.
Great, authentic Korean food- fun environment for families and kids to try new flavors and dishes!
Dont waste your time, gimmick. Menu does not explain much, the staff does even less. They charged us for the wrong items putting the bill much higher, when we spoke to the staff they simply said that is what we ordered and walked away. Would not recommend.
A decent place for Korean food lovers nice and attractive
Very underrated on Google, food flavor is divine. Cocktails could use a bit of work but a very fun experience.
Food was terrible, owners were rude. While I was eating. Seen owner yelling at the sever. Made it very uncomfortable.. Food wasnt even authentic...Will give zero star if I can..
A great place to enjoy a great meal. Please note the seating and drinks were fast. The service just a tad slow. BUT once you get past that the food was exceptional and the staff cooked the food for us at the table. This place is one of my favorites. Enjoy some quality fare and a memorable evening.
We waited 20 minutes to open after being told they don't open until 5. When we returned, we waited for another 20 minutes with several other families without once being acknowledged.
Great food, service relatively slow for a new opening, completely understandable.
Came here on a Friday evening and the restaurant was pretty empty and not that busy. We got seated right away. Ordered seafood tofu stew (soon dobu) - disappointed at the tofu as the firm tofu was used, instead of the soft tofu. The soup was kinda plain. There were lots of small shrimps though - no clams at all.
Good food and service
Good to see a authentic korean restaurant in Connecticut I live in queens ny where all the best korean restaurants are concentrated but this place its actually better then most of the places in ny food was great services was also great. Will definitely come back as i come to Connecticut every week
Amazing food and best customer service I’ve ever had!! Everyone was super attentive and very helpful since it was our first time. Can’t wait to go again!
Awesome service!
Have always enjoyed the food and service here.
Had its fair share of hiccups since it just opened but their food is awesome. Once the staffs are trained they should be packed every day. The meat was marinated right on point. Banchans are well seasoned with good selections.
I’m a Korean food addicted person cuz of my wife. We came from Berlin ct just to try their food. It was really good. The place was so fancy.price reasonable
We got pretty much everything they could cook and loved it all. Come hungry !
Great place , soup was spicy and delicious helped me with a cold I had. Going to bring my kids next to do the BBQ cooking part of the experience!
The food was pretty good but not the best. Not that good service either. Took almost 30 mins just to get the check & got charged the whole check on my card on “accident” when I only wanted to pay for part of it.
Good food, well decorated. Will love a lot more if parking is less a hassle. It has different spicy stew, bbq, fried chicken, and a lot of different cocktails.
Can't wait to go back......Food was amazing, serve not very friendly!
Pretty expensive but good place for kbbq and some authentic Korean food. Honestly, as the ONLY korean restaurant in this area, I come here when I have serious cravings for Korean food. I found all food to be a bit too sweet
Incredible food, great portions, friendly and helpful staff. My experience here was very positive. They have great food and also their cocktails are top notch. One piece of advice I would give would be to dim the lights a little bit to give a more romantic vibe. It was very bright, but that doesn't take anything away from the great food or excellent service!
The food was different for me. I enjoyed my meal. Will definitely return. Staff friendly and helpful.
Food was great cozy spot service was great as well my son took us for my birthday our waiter sat us at our table and then she took her time and explained the menu to us which was great we've never been there before we ordered Combo A and it was amazing the meat was tender also the server took the time to cook it right at our table and it was busy it was 6 of us and that was enough food for everyone. Will definitely go back.
A disaster from top to bottom, we were one of five tables on a Saturday afternoon, they lost our order, service was a disaster, proportions were small, prices unreasonable, but at least it tasted ok. Spare yourself the frustration :-/ ... They keep the place at 68oF and there’s a huge draft!
I took my girlfriend here on a date and it was a wonderful time. Very unique to the various restaurants in Stamford. The staff was attentive and the food there was great. Will def be going again. Don't forget to order some Soju.
The Korean BBQ was excellent!! Very high quality meats. Service was great as well. Would definitely recommend coming here for great authentic Korean food.
Taste good! It’s really nice to see a Korean BBQ finally opened in Stamford!
I went to this establishment with my friend on 09-15-2019 during the evening hours of the day. We had been served the usual appetizers that they bring out, prior to serving our main order. The meat was brought out to our table and cooked in front of us momentarily. A few minutes later the meat began to burn and no one was there to rotate the meat (hence why it burned). When our waiter arrived to the table, he offered to sort out the good meat and the burned meat in the back, we politely declined because the integrity of the meat had been clearly compromised. They did rectify the issue by bringing in raw meat again to be cooked. Overall it was just a negative and bizzare experience. No one came to follow up with us after that. I will not be returning to this establishment. Good Luck Bull Pan.
WORST RESTAURANT EVER. Me and my boyfriend went around 6:30 pm and there were two waiters. The young waiter was serving at 1st floor with large group, and one old waiter was upstairs. I wasn’t served. The young waiter got our drink order and went back to 1st floor, but the old woman never came to us and did nothing. We waited for a few minutes, but we never get the menu. The reason why I gave two star is because of the young waitress that care about us when she was super busy.
The food here tasted fantastic. I would happily eat it again, although I can't say the same for the service. Granted it was a busy night, but the service was slow and they forgot one of our dishes. I didn't feel happy with the service so I decided to leave a smaller tip than usual, and the server came very close to me complaining that I was "only tipping this much" and argued with me (saying it wasn't 10% when it was). Left a very bad impression, so I don't know if I do want to go back.
Such an amazing food! Our server was very helpful in giving us suggestions for a forest time visit. We got there a little before dinner rush, so service was very good until then. They get a bit overwhelmed when the restaurant is full and it was harder to get water refilled or getting the check. But food was amazing!
If I could give 0 stars I would. The server my party had was the most inconsiderate woman I have ever met in the food industry. We were given no explanation for any of the dishes and when trying to order by the name of the dish they did not know what we were talking about and asked for the number for the corresponding dish. While ordering she kept telling us that is not the dish we want and that we should get the dish she told us. When our food began to come out we noticed an extra dish coming out and when we said we didn’t order the dish our server started yelling at us and flashing a menu in our face while we were trying to eat. When she finally took the unwanted plate away she was talking about us in Korean with the other servers and clearly insulting members of our party. When all was said and done and we asked for our check. She added several drinks that we didn't order and the unwanted plate that we sent away bumping our check price over $60 more than we ordered. When we asked to fix the check we were met with more harassment from the same server until we asked for someone else. When we got the check back the woman stood over our shoulder while filling out her tip on the check. Overall I would highly recommend not going here and avoiding it at all costs. There are plenty of very good Korean BBQ spots within a 20 min drive from Stamford that you should go to instead of this place.
Terrific Korean food
Good value for lunch boxes.
They are a new resteraunt so expect their flaws. We ordered something cheap in the menu and it was just so bland and boring . The actual bbq stuff were $30 and from the look around it was not worth it. I had ordered a drink and it never arrived , but they still tried to charge me for it. I understand they are a new restaurant and need to work out some kinks but they should really regroup and organize themselves for the dinner rush.
Best Korean BBQ in this area period. This place is just awesome but busy so get there early. The selection is fantastic and the drinks and meats can't be beat. Great meat quality and friendly service. We like beef combo set. Can’t remember what’s in there but it’s always the same quality. i don't know about 1 star reviews,, what can we expect more!!?? The staff was super friendly. Everything was just made perfectly and fresh.
Had a great time loved the food.
The bbq is quite expensive but the lunch menu is great.
One of the best korean in stamford
Quality of meat is so good and the restaurant is very clean.
Nice place, good food, pleasant service, recommend
Very nice dining, employees friendly, food came out quick and the restaurant was very clean.
The long trek to Flushing is no longer necessary!
I would give 5 star to the young waitress who helped cooking our bbq. The reason why I can’t give this restaurant more than 3 star was the older waitress who helped us ordering at the beginning. She told us we should order combo B or C because those are for a party of 2 and they have everything we would like. Although the menu clearly says combo B or C was for 3, we trusted her as it was our first time here and we were glad she saved us time browsing the menu. However, we eventually found out that combo B was indeed for 3 people as it has 3 appetizers and 3 entree size meats. To be honest, the portion was generous for even 3 people considering we were served some free small refreshing dishes. We could barely finish the 2nd meat and took the 3rd to go. The older waitress should be able to tell that we can’t finish combo B as I am a 155 pound guy and my wife is about 110 pound. The food was ok so I don’t mind ordering more than I need if I were given the right information in the first place. I left 25% tip regardless as the young waitress who helped us cooking was super attentive even when she was busy. They had 2 waitress and 2 waiters when we visited and the young waitress was super busy cooking for ALL tables, while the older waitress was just standing there when she was not putting orders.
Excellent and fresh. Perfect.
I Like it very much, Quick Service people really friendly
Absolutely terrible. Got the seafood pancake and the stonebowl rice but food took over an hour... the seafood pancake is A JOKE! $20 for a portion size of my hand? Are you serious? I've never seen anything like that in my life! Stonebowl was mediocre and they did not provide me with ANY sauce. HUGE disappointment. Will not return.
Went here for dinner with my mom. The food was amazing. For $70 dollars, you get a lot of food for 2 to 3 people. Unfortunately, while the food was amazing, the service was not. They were understaffed. There was only one person walking around the place working the grill. There was one girl who was not a waitress so she doesn't take orders or anything. Most of the time, you see 2 or 3 of the staff just sitting together and doing nothing. At one point, the guy had to be told three times to get a bottle of beer for one of the seated customers. Also, not once did they come around to refill your water. Overall, I think this place has a lot of potential, but I think they need more staff and their staff need better training.
Food was overall decent. however, the prine rib we got was not cooked to medium rare. Also after our group was done we split the bill 50/50 and my friend covered the tip, however the waitress pressured the other one to leave a tip on top of the tip already being there for the total bill. Which was very annoying and rude.
The price kills this place. The food is ok but the price is very high for what you get.
The side dishes are difinitely above average than most of the other korean restaurants I have tried in Manhattan. Bibimbap is highly recommended! Bbq is not bad as well, just not as impressive than other dishes.
This place is really hip and packed. I've been to Korea and married to a Korean wife, and I can say this place is tasty. The panchan (little dishes) are good, the Korean fried chicken was very good, very authentic. I had the sun do bu (red spicy stew) and it was excellent. My wife had bimimpap which was also very good. I've been waiting for this place to open for a year here in Stamford, and it doesn't disappoint. There's nothing wrong with the service - no idea what the few mentions is that are talking about the service was great. There's even a call button on the table so you don't have to flag anyone down. I've never been in a restaurant that makes that so easy.
BBQ is EXTREMELY overpriced. $30 for 10 ounces of thin sliced brisket? No thanks. Yesterday was an absolute nightmare. The amount of people cursing and frustrated last night as insane. A lot of people left without even dining cause of the organization!! Wrong orders, wrong check, wrong everything! Not sure how a place can do business like this... Also, as someone mentioned in Yelp, do NOT get the PaJun. Seafood pancake. It is $18 for a tiny peice. Not enough to feed the 5 of us.. 2 stars because of the rib stew was actually decent plus the free side dishes.
We were there a friday afternoon. we had to ask like 3 times for straws, waiting about 20 minutes for the waiter to take our order and almost 45 minutes for the food to come out. we saw a few teens at a table a and left a 2 dollar tip. they were scolded for it which was pretty terrible, disrespectful and inappropriate, especially because you dont know someones financial situation. honestly wont be coming back just for that very reason. only not leaving 1 star because the food was okay. dont waste your time.
Eating with my boys here; we all loved it. Service was very friendly, attentive and timely. Food was super. Excited to return !
Dude... you guys need about another month of training. Staff is way too young. Last night was a disaster. Plus you have an open heat source right next to the customers drink. If you spill liquor on that grill, it will flame up. Be careful. This is a dangerous concept for the United States.
Food was amazing! Great staff
Good Korean bbq. Finally one in Stamford so I don't need to travel too far
Great food and service!
Two of the four people I was with got really sick from the food here. Staff was great, but just heavily understaffed. Had to wait forever for everything. No water. Prices were crazy for the portions given. I've been to a lot of other Asian BBQ places and they typically give you a lot more for cheaper prices. Also, the grill top is like a shield, traditional grate grill tops work better, the ones they use don't heat up as fast and can't grill the meat so it tastes it's best. Instead you get this undercooked meat with a burned layer of ash around the entire thing...ugh.
