My husband took me for a late night dinner to this small fried food spot in Hartford. I had never been and absolutely enjoyed my conversation with the owner about the history of their restaurant. The fried chicken and French fries was delicious and fresh. Will definitely return..

Might I say this chicken spot was pretty decent I didn’t expect the chicken to be so good I ordered the chicken plate and it was so golden crisp & juicy with the soft butter roll. I wasn’t too crazy about the fries though it reminded me of McDonald’s fries with less salt still pretty decent though but I’ve had better. Now the location might throw some people off being that it’s located in the middle of ghetto Park st, but nevertheless that shouldn’t stop you from getting some good Broasted Chicken✌

I haven’t had fried chicken this good in the Hartford area since mid-nineties when American Legion used to sell fried chicken (or may still). I love the lightly flacked batter and especially the way it’s seasoned and fried to a golden crisp, beautifully. The oil used is of great quality because I’m a fine domestic who knows quite a bit about cooking. It’s just that good! One of Hartford’s best, if not The Best.

If ever you want to truly feel WELCOME at an establishment, Broasterant is the place to go. The Owner is an older Greek Woman who has a pure soul flooded with love for EVERYONE that walks into her establishment and I personally have never seen that type of attention given in quite awhile to random people.

Hands down THE BEST fried chicken shop in CT! It's a small family owned shop with fresh and high quality ingredients and the chicken is always cooked to perfection. The chicken is pressure fried yet not oily or greasy. You can't taste the oil at all in the chicken.

Best fried chicken in the Local Area, period. For fifty years, they've been pressure-frying lightly seasoned kosher-grade meat to make chicken that's crispy and crunchy on the outside and sweet and juicy on the inside. Well worth the trip. There's no comparison, no competition, no close second. Broasterant is the spot.

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and I am not exaggerating when I say that I have never ever had bad food or service here..... Pleasant atmosphere to dine in for well over 3 decades. Food is always cooked to order, never a single complaint with dining in or takeout. And as I've stated, I've been dining with them since i was a child. I've fed all 4 of my children from this establishment as well as my only grangdaughter and will feed the rest of my grands... Sorry this place turned to the worst scrawny chicken pcs. Old grease the old lady still very rude. If you have standards don't go here same decor from 80s and they charge $ 18 for soggy fries, hard bread and 8 pcs of chicken. Live two miles away and before we got home my husband and I where getting sick to our stomach.
