Happened to pass by late night on a vacation to Rhode Island. This was a great find as this place was gorgeous and the food is great. We got the dark and stormy wings which are excellent and had a few beers, the waitress recommended switchback and it was fantastic. Our food arrived quickly and the waitress was very nice and friendly. The atmosphere here is great as well, they had an event going on the back patio and had karaoke in the main room.

From what I saw and experienced tonight....will never go back. People at table outside has a 7pm reservation...at 9 pm they had not been served yet. Waitress made excuses. Hostess made excuses. Tables left unbussed for hours. Place seems very poorly run. Too bad...it could be a great place. Don't waste your time.

This place has a pretty awesome selection of wing sauces, as well as your typical barbecue food. They also have really good hamburgers, however ours weren’t cooked to the temp we asked. The macaroni is super good and they gave you so much French fries. Like too many fries if that’s possible. Lol I just felt like it’s kinda a waste because there’s no way people eat all of that at once. Our first time going as a whole...wasn’t the best as far as service goes. We waited awhile at the host desk because the host thought we were apart of another party but she never asked us. Then we got sat finally but never got our waters. We ended up asking for them and got them way after our food. There was probably two waitresses in there the whole time and the room was packed. Id say they definitely needed more help. It took awhile for us to get our check and box after we finished. But the food was good and they had a good stout that day! So if you’re out wanting to watch a game and drink some beer, have some food and hangout... it’s a great place to go! The women were all really nice.

The food is OK. I've heard that there have been problems with servers and bartenders, but I had no such issue. Do your research before stopping by, as the meals vary dramatically in quality. For instance, the burgers are really underwhelming. The beer and alcohol selection is about average as well. The karaoke host is great and always draws a good crowd. Overall, I'd say skip it unless you are a local who just wants to hang out somewhere close. For travelers, I suggest taking the trip to Westerly.

I got to this place all the time for the bar I went there last night for dinner on my way to westerly because I was passing throough my sandwich was cold the waitress came up and got us our first beer went to the tables next to us about 4 times and didn’t come to check and see if we wanted another drink within the 45 minutes I was sitting waiting for food I didn’t get seated for ten minutes to begin with and the manager is extremely rude he offered the table next to us who had been waiting a shorter amount of time for them to not have to pay for there food . But when me and my friend asked him why we still had to pay for our food that didn’t come For over and hour his excuse was “it’s busy on Friday’s “ when they had 9 empty tables . And to top it all off instead of pulled chicken I got pulled pork pretty positive I’m only going there for the bar and kareokee from not on and the only reason I am Giving one star is because the bartenders and waitress came up and apoligized and offered to buy me a drink I have never been to a reaturaunt with such slow service and I have never dealt with some one so rude as far as management goes he probably has one good waiter and one good bar tender in that entire establishment . And they could probably run his restaurant better then he can DONT GO HERE for FOOD !

Ordered a rack of dry rub baby back, came with coleslaw and baked beans. The meat was dry in some spots and moist in ther spots. The seasoning was really spicy and contained what tasted like no salt at all wich added to the dryness of the meat. The coleslaw came out of a can and the beans were undercooked.

Stopped in after a round of golf . The wings were good and the half rack of ribs wasn’t bad either. This place has a lot of potential . Great set up . I think they should offer some type of deal that includes the driving range or putt putt . Also they could use more advertising . I had no idea that there was even a driving range there . Overall I hope they get things right because I think people would enjoy hitting golf balls and eating BBQ.

Update - Tried again. Food is ok but service and personnel are still horrible. ————- The staff is slow and inept. And it doesn’t seem like the management cares. The drinks are weak and the hamburgers are hit or miss. The bbq is dry. The only bright spot was a server named Jen.

I’ll start by saying the only negative I can agree with from previous reviews is the slow kitchen. It did take a bit too long to receive our meals. We dined at 2pm on a Sunday, only a few other parties in the restaurant, so I would imagine the kitchen could have cooked up the food faster. The positives; the chicken wings were delicious and they offer almost too many sauces and rubs. It’s hard to choose from them as they all seemed to be winners. If you love hot sauces this place is your place! We had the Apple BBQ and it fantastic. It had just the right amount of sweetness to it. The Hog Burger was perfectly cooked with a huge serving of pulled pork on top. It was served with chips instead of fries. Chips were good but some were soggy from how juicy the burger was. Other members of the party had a pulled chicken salad and a pulled pork sandwich. We all agreed it was good and would return again. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean (huge bonus on the clean restrooms) Staff were kind and courteous.

I went for lunch and the place was empty. That should of been my first clue. The lunch special was a strawberry salad with homemade poppyseed dressing. It was terrible. The lettuce and other veggies were old and dry. The dressing tasted like sour yogurt. I also ordered the blueberry bread. It was good inside but the outside was dry and hard. I left hungry. I will not go back.

Our server was fantastic. The owner is very rude. If you ask him any questions about anything he thinks is negative he will treat you like garbage. Attended a trivia event and he was horribly unprepared. Started blaming the customers. Even threw out one of the teams at the end of the game when they were not happy about the slow service. Owner claims the group didn't make a reservation but the semi finals were the week before and he knew we would be back for the finals. They host trivia nights weekly. No way the DJ just showed up with his equipment without the restuarant knowing about it! Stop making excuses and own up to your mistakes. Your job as owner is to fix the issues in front of you and give good customer service. You obviously cannot handle the slightest problem.

I can't even give it a star but one will do. We waited over an hour just for appetizers that didn't come on time and we received them with our dinner. My friend was eating french fries and had a hair in it! Waitress took it back and gave us more fries...we didn't ask for them. My daughter was eating the Mac n cheese and went to take a bite and a long piece of hair was all entwined in it..what the hell. This is now a second dish! None of us could finish our meal and I demanded the manager. Nice of them to comp the whole meal but I kid you not as we are getting ready to go my son had another hair in his burger with the lettuce!!! So disgusting!! Obviously this place has some issues in the kitchen. It hasn't changed in the 6 months that it's been open. It has gotten much worse. It also never should of taken 45 minutes to place our order either or 15 just for water and an apple juice. Very unorganized and the dress code for the staff is appalling. Will never go back!! So sad for our community. Would of been nice to have a good restaurant in our area.

Beautiful location. Beautiful decor. This is my fourth time returning to the Boneyard in Ashaway Rhode Island. I have not had good experiences, but because of the location, I keep trying. The two things, make that three things that make this place awesome is Jenny the bartender, the pickles that are outstanding and the wings were super delicious! (thanks to Jenny’s recommendation). So I will keep coming back! Great job Jenny!!!

Came here with a few friends for dinner.....We had a great time. The food was excellent, my friend had the ribs and they were so happy that they serve them Kansas City style with an authentic rib rub instead of smothered in sauce St. Louis style like alot of places do.....I had the fish and chips which was really good, just the right amount of crispy with a huge piece of fish....service was definitely good, our server was pleasant, helpful since it was our first time there and seemed to like her job...I saw the low rating when we googled this place and decided to come anyways....we had a really great time....not sure what's up with the other reviews....but we thought it was great and will definitely be back!

Well I would not consider this place a barbecue place. They had a rib entre on the menu, other than that it was a burgers or wings. They have a pulled pork sandwich but it was a frozen pulled pork sandwich. The wings were ok. The only reason I gave a 2 star review is because the bar service was pleasant and good. Looks like the search is still on for a good BBQ place in RI.

First off, we knew it wasn’t the real deal when we couldn’t smell BBQ as we approached entrance. Music was WAY TOO LOUD on a Sunday afternoon (Memorial Day weekend), seriously understaffed, screwed up order and waited forever for the check. And the food itself is NOT real BBQ! So the only thing we really liked was the venue and outdoor setting. You guys have a lot of work to do if you want to have a REAL BBQ establishment with adequate waitstaff. Until then, we won’t be back.

Went to the Boneyard a few times now. Staff has always been extremely nice. Decor is perfection for the type of establishment as well. Music isnt to loud, but isnt to soft either. This is big with me actually as silent restaurants are a pet peeve. First time here, my son and I both ordered the pulled pork sandwich. I took his red onion as well as he hates it (not so much red onion on the pic). It was great! Cant complain. A bit messy, but guess what? BBQ is messy. Second time I came with the entire family. Extremely busy. Took a bit to get our food and drinks but seeing its a soft opening, and how busy it was, Im not complaining. Management is always on premises and makes rounds to check on customers as well. The Pavilion Fun Center will be opening soon on the same land so I cant wait to check that out as well!

This would be a 5 star sports bar, but for what it is, I can't say it's a 5 star barbeque place. Wings and tenders are usually the main attraction, and the live music/DJ on the weekends are a nice touch. The food is good, don't get me wrong, but don't go in thinking this place has the best brisket in RI. The driving range is nothing special (no yardage markers or structured greens), but you can go and hit some balls in the Westerly/Hopkinton area.

First time I went. Service was slow and then to ask for ice water and wait then be told there is no ice but see people with ice in tall glasses of water or soda and in alcoholic beverages including my own alcoholic drink. Then be told that if I want another alcoholic drink I can get ice In that but not the water. Got so mad I asked for my bill and left. Didn’t even get to finish hearing my friend sing and I drove from another state into Rhode Island just to go there for that reason. When I told her I also had a medical condition I needed the ice water then she said she could go to the bar and get me some but by that point she had gotten me so mad.I wasn’t staying and I left and on the way out I told your hostess I was extremely upset it was my first time there I came to hear my friend sing and I probably never will come back there again . Now your business lost out because in the beginning of my visit I looked at the menu and said to myself I’ll have to come back with my whole family. But, after this treatment tonight I’m not bringing my whole family back. I don’t think I will go back even if my friend plays there a lot. If I was the manager I would have fired my waitress.

When will I learn? I keep trying to give this restaurant another chance and I keep getting disappointed. Food is not worth the wait and aggravation. There are a couple of servers and bartenders that are great but it’s almost impossible to cover for the incompetence of the management.

Was here for a Trivia event that this location has posted in the past. You would think they would learn from past mistakes when hosting this event. They did not. This event filled the place and they were very understaffed. There were not enough seating for those participating and management was not helpful and downright surly. One group ordered food and their order had still not arrived after 2 hours. Management was not sympathetic. They could of handled this much differently. Talking to others in attendance, this establishment may take a big hit for this.

We live in town and have been to Boneyard about 10 times, We always sit in the bar area and the service is great . Wings are awesome with a lot to choose from. My wife loves the fish and chips . Pat the owner of the place always checks on how your meal was and wants to know what he can do to improve you experience. Great selection of craft beers. And the outside has so much to do. Hit a bucket of balls at the driving range, mini golf with the family, corn hole , horseshoes and a great car show on Friday evening. Keep up the hard work Boneyard crew!!

Pulled in because the building looked great. We had to wait to be seated even thou the place was near empty. The bathroom was trashed and dark. The waiter got our drinks promptly. It was all down hill from there. We ordered fried pickles he brought chicken wings. We ordered burgers he brought pulled pork, we paid for our drinks and left. No way i would recommend.

Excellent meal. Had the pizza bones, chili fries, pulled pork sandwich, and buffalo chicken sub. All very good, and generously sized. Stuffed! Only a single server in the dining area, but she hustled and we experienced no delays as other reviews mentioned. And the music was an awesome playlist of 80's tunes at just the right volume. We're from PA, but will definitely visit again when we're in the area next.

Not a bad place. The environment & atmosphere are really nice. Prices are fair. The staff was very friendly. The menu isn't the best ( for BBQ selection it only listed Ribs) I had 3 different types of wings (All good !) But the pulled chicken was aweful. I like the outdoor seating. They even had a live band playing and they have a driving range within walking distance. I shall return again but I'm not in a hurry.

Awful horrible restaurant, worst in the state easily, fake BBQ. I knew a chef and he told me that the kitchen was never clean, and the food was awful there. The waitresses are awful, they a very unprofessional and rude. Slow service as well. My cup that I ordered my water in was dirty. My plate was not clean either. The chicken is dry, and it is cooked and seasoned very poorly. Their sauces are not award winning. And even if they are, the taste is ruined by the awful chicken. This restaurant is frustratingly pathetic. It is not that hard to make good food. The ribs suck too. The smokey taste in their food is from some kind of liquid smoke in their ingredients, they are not cooked to taste like it, the taste is added in unnaturally. The manager is a felon, and was arrested a few years ago for stealing from fundraisers along with a "Female relative", see for yourself-look up "Patrick Kane Seekonk" on google and see what you find. He also treats his staff very poorly and is not at all a good fit to be running this place, and personally I believe it is impossible. Why can't a good restaurant that can sustain business and good food just be in this building? It is a great location, but the building seems to be cursed. My menus were sticky, and so was the container holding the condiments. There are also bugs in the kitchen, and a saw some in the dining room. Maybe the manager is trying to manage this place as community service for his felony charges. The kitchen is full of drug addicts and crackheads from what I have heard. So I would definitely not recommend working here.

We made a last minute catering order on Superbowl Sunday, and they filled it quickly. They were extremely nice on the phone when I placed the order, and the food was awesome. The catering portions are HUGE, and all of it was delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a party catered where bbq would fit in.

Incredibly slow service, we waited over 30 minutes just for appetizers and then they didn’t even bring the appetizers, the entrees were brought out and then another 10 minutes later the appetizers came. Once the entrees came we realized the pulled pork had been made with hot sauce not bbq sauce and we had to send it back. The corn dog I ordered was amazing aside from the fact that the first inch of it was black from being over cooked. The entire time we’ve been here it has taken at least 15-20 minutes to see our waiter and we weren’t offered refills before asking and we haven’t heard even an apology, just more promises of food within the next few minutes and then ended up waiting another 15 minutes. We’re not picky people but damn guys waiting that long for food that wasn’t even correct is insane. Basically the food here is good but only if you’re willing to put up with waiting a long ass time and then getting the wrong order.

Dining room looks out at rolling hills of their driving range ! We had a little of everything , pulled pork sandwiches , burgers , ribs and had crab cakes and stuffies as appetizers. Everything was really really good. Good portion sizes , cooked as requested and our server brought us everything we needed. Thumbs up for checking if we had tobasco for the stuffies before we event asked !! My wife and I read some of these reviews on here and couldn’t believe how critical some people are!! When a place is as busy as they are there can be a wait for food. We went on the weekend and waited over a half hour but guess what our waitress made sure we had drinks , brought us some of their home made potato chips which were awesome and our meals were totally worth it. We love misquamicut beach and come several times each summer — this will be a go to spot for us when we are down again. Next time we want to play mini golf !!!

Friday night we drove to the car show to check out all the awesome antique cars and decided to go in and have dinner. The place was crowded. We went inside and was seated right away. Awesome!!! We ordered our hog burgers and waited over 50 minutes for our food to arrive. I mentioned something to our wonderful waitress who was standing at the pick up counter for someone's else's order, when I'm assuming, the head chef barked at me "It's Friday cruise night and of course it's going to be busy!"

When we got our food the ribs I had were dry and the wings my husband had were not hot,they were warm.The bread that came out was very dry and they microwaved it.We waited at least 30 minutes for our food.We sat right where we could see into the kitchen.Our waitress did not clear our appetizer plates,the manager passed our table a few times and never acknowledge the plates.When we were ready for the check the manager again walked right by us,I had my card out ready to pay.When the waitress came to ask if we needed anything else I asked for the check .Again our table was not cleared.I had to move plates so I could sign the receipt.I will not be going back to this restraunt.

This place is absolutely horrid. Went with my daughter for lunch. The guy at the host stand (apparently the owner as he claimed at the end) said he’d be right in. We got seated, waitress came over and took our drink order. We proceeded to wait 15 minutes for a beer and iced tea. Waitress came back 2 or 3 times claiming she was waiting on the bar. Finally got the drinks and gave our order of a pulled pork sandwich and chicken nuggets. Half an hour later, after the waitress telling us 15 minutes prior the food would be right out, the “owner” told us it would be a minute. I said okay, very clearly aggravated for the wait, he asked what the problem was and I told him we’d only been waiting for half an hour for food when the table two over had been seated after us and got their drinks and food before we did. He proceeded to be absolutely rude and said “what a shame on a holiday! That’s terrible!” At which point I was confused and said “excuse me? That table was seated after us and got both drinks and food before us.” He continued with more attitude so I grabbed my wallet and went to walk out with me daughter. Which he chose to escort us out and gave me the “treat others the way you’d like to be treated” line which made me ask what the issue was because I literally had no idea what was going on. He shouted at me he was the owner and how I had been rude to him when I told him we’d be waiting a while and pulled pork and nuggets shouldn’t take half an hour to make. I’ll never go back there, for supposedly being the owner of an establishment, his people skills are lacking and that’s being nice. I’ve been a server, I know how it goes and could understand the wait had it been busy but it wasn’t even close. I guess I know why. I won’t even entertain the thought of giving the place another try.

0 - Speed of service - took 25-30 minutes to get our drinks and about an hour and 15 to get our food (and we had 3 kids with us ages 2-5). I speculate if I went into the kitchen there is one cook trying to prepare meals for 50 people using a hand held lighter. 0 - Management - no manager present to help on the floor, apologize for the inexcusable wait times and obviously doesn’t work enough to hire and retain enough wait staff and kitchen help. 3 - Wait staff - Hard to rank them accurately because it seemed like there were 2 or 3 servers for the entire restaurant, both inside and outside. The ceiling is probably a 4 for the current staff. Even in ideal conditions I don’t envision a 5 3-4 - Food - the food was decent, some of the kids stuff was more like cafeteria food but the adult food was good. 4 - Atmosphere - outdoor seating was great, music playing and a good crowd Average those out and you get a 2. I kept having visions of John Taffer from Bar Rescue walking in; flipping out on everyone, shutting the place down and then having a stroke. I bet if you went on a random Tuesday night, service would be faster and it might get a 3 or 4 rating. Tonight the wait was unbearable.
