This Restaurant is always outstanding! You must ask to sit in Marie's section. She is such a wonderful server and always makes us feel so welcome! I Love that no-one is ever left sitting there waiting on there food and serves us all together! The brick oven pizza is a must have even if it's just as an appetizer. The salad is always a big hit and the hot dinner rolls are to die for.

My family and I came in this evening after my father's funeral service with a 20 person head count. My cousin had booked in advance, but when we arrived, it turned out that it was for the Glastonbury location instead. Your staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly, despite the wrench that was thrown in your gears. You guys even transferred everything over so we didn't have to go through that head ache. The food was great and the event was successful, so thank you guys

This was our first visit to Bertucci's in several years, and we were happy with the food. The pasta was very good (lasagna and ravioli) and the waiter was friendly and helpful. I would have rated our dining experience five stars if it were not for an indifferent greeter. My advice to her is to be more tuned-in with the needs of guests. Why walk someone with recent knee surgery and using a walker halfway through the restaurant only to afterward seat able-bodied guests near the front of the restaurant? The booths involved were all the same size.

The food is good for what it is but man the place could use an update. It feels nothing has been done since this restaurant was built and this is not a compliment. I don't think it would take much, fix bathroom and floors and this would be a much more pleasant dining experience.

Our family always enjoys eating here. Various allergies are cheerfully addressed, even beyond menu norms. They are generous in proportions and the complimentary hot dinner are served with savory olive oil. They will accommodate dinner parties of any size and service is exemplary.

Our server was very nice and pleasant, let us move when we asked. However, we found that the food was good but not great. Also, there was a huge delay after ordering since their printer ran out of paper and the kitchen didn't know to cook. Found that to be very disappointing.

This Bertucci's location was overall a great experience. The food was magnificent, the wait time was no wait at all, and the staff were completely welcoming. I had the chicken and broccoli personal pizza that had its own character compared to others that I've enjoyed. The difference between this one and it's competitors is exactly what makes me want to come back in ordering the same exact things. It felt like every staff told us to have a great day while we made our way out of the restaurant. Speak of great customer service! I expected someone to sneak out on me in the parking lot to tell me to drive safely haha! Overall, I'd say give this Bertucci's one of your nights and I promise you won't be disappointed.

One of our favorite restaurants, chicken wing app is great. The food is good quality, fresh and much better than the likes of Olive Garden. The servers are good but not commensurate with the quality of the food. Good stuff though. Great pizza. Appetizers are great in general.

The spaghetti was delcuous and a generous portion.Don't forget to save room for dessert which includes tiramasu as well as a lemon pie among other items.Great atmosphere as well.A pleasant evening and experience.

I normally adore Bertucci's pizza, but not this visit. It was awful. My daughter ordered their new shrimp pizza and she said that it was to die for. The Tiramisu was disturbingly small. Definitely wasn't worth the cost. The waitress was super friendly. She was accommodating, but failed to provide what was requested.

First time here and, unfortunately, the last I came here for Mother's day with my friend's family. It wasn't a great experience since we waited an hour and 10 or 15 minutes for our food and when it came, 2 dishes were warm while 2 dishes were cold, which happen to be one of mine, while the mother's dish was hot and fresh since it was the lasagna. I was disappointed and the food just tasted ok. I gave 3 stars since the waitress and manager was nice. The basket of bread was the highlight of the meal for us. So I don't think I'll be going back.

Have been going to this Restaurant since it opened. Was terribly disappointed during our last time there, while eating my Dinner and a Roach appeared on my plate. The waitress called the Manager who apologized and told us we would not have to pay for our Dinners. The Restaurant obviously needs attention as it is an older restaurant. Roaches carry disease!!! I mentioned that I wondered (I am assuming) that there are Roaches in their kitchen. You don’t just have one Roach. Well, we won’t be returning which is sad because we have frequented Bertucci’s for years!

I had the 4 cheese ravioli on the Express Lunch Menu. It was very fresh a full of flavor. To start, they served hot rolls and salad with salad dressing. Everything was very fresh. Service was very good.

This is an okay place. Very cozy interior. Maybe I would have enjoyed more if I had gotten something else, but our group of 15 got the veggie pizza, chicken pizza, margarita pizza, and I can not recall the last kind. The pizzas we're okay, nothing special. The veggie pizza was a no for me, lots of broccoli and caramelized onions, just didn't go well. The servers were extremely nice. Gave us whatever we asked for, whether it was another water or a straw. I will try coming again for a better experience, and to get something else. The sundaes are amazing though.

I ordered fettuccine alfredo lunch and a side of broccoli. The pasta seemed reheated in a microwave yet had a big piece of burnt pasta in it that was charred completely and broke apart into clumpy ashes in my food. Worse, the broccoli was basically raw. It was extremely crunchy and still cold inside. Salad was wilty. I used a 10% off coupon and still had to pay $15 for this. Never again.

Love the atmosphere, and appreciate the open kitchen aesthetic. The staff has been good every visit and it's one of my favorite spots for pizza in the Columbia Maryland area. All of the toppings are so fresh and flavorful. Had to take off a star for maintenance. The window frames, artwork etc next to the booths have an inexcusable amount of dust on them.

I love Bertucci's pizza, so I like to go occasionally. However, I find that Bertucci's in Columbia is perpetually understaffed. Every time we go, we have to wait for a table even though the restaurant's only half full. Then everything takes forever. Tonight was no exception. The pizza was as good as always and the staff members there were pleasant, even if they weren't the most efficient. But everything was also as slow as ever. So, overall a mixed bag.

Went there today with 2 little kids for the 1st time. We were BLOWN AWAY by the service. From the guy who met and seated us to the server (Ms. Marie) who was simply awesome. Seriously it was one of the best services at the restaurants I have ever experienced. Food was very good too (their lasagna was definitely NOT store-made, but freshly made in-house, and cake and coffee were very good as well). Kids loved the place too. We will definitely be back (perhaps even do kids birthday there). P.S. I rarely do reviews, but this place definitely deserved a great one.

The place has a nice look to it and is clean. The waitress wasn't the best but she wasnt the worst either. And it took a long time before I got the appetizer and meal. I ordered the artichoke dip and shrimp risotto and was not happy with either one of them. The tiny pieces of tomatoes in both dishes had more flavor than the risotto and the dip. However, the manager was kind enough to come over and offered anything on the menu on the house, even though I didn't order anything else (because I got full with their delicious bread and garlic oil!)I appreciated her offer. Would I give them another try? Yes! Every one deserves a second chance.

Everytime I eat here, I transcend reality and enter another dimension. The food here is so good and the environment (especially that beautiful brickstone pizza oven) are better than anything. What was once a very good restaurant has gone down the toilet. Arriving, the parking lot was half full. Should have been my first clue. Opening the menu which once had a good variety, we found it had been butchered, and an increase in prices. The selection was limited. We placed our order at 5:40. Our meal arrived at 6:25, after listening to the excuses from the bartender. The portions were smaller than previous visits. An attempt to cut corners? There are too many restaurants in the area to waste your time and money here.

Went here with some friends around 7 on a Sunday. Place was maybe half full, and took forever to get our food. Ordered the lasagna and 45 minutes later am told they're out. Almost everyone in our group of 6 was told they were out of what was ordered sometime between 20-45 minutes after ordering. I didn't understand why it took so long to be told we had to order something else. Pizza I wound up getting was average at best. I try to be fair and forgiving at a restaurant but I'm not going back here. All the reviews for other Bertucci's locations and the glowing review by others had me very hopeful.

The food is incredible and an excellent value. The staff is warm and welcoming! The food, especially the pizza is well worth it! All of the dishes, calzones and pizzas I have tried have had great taste and flavor and you can tell it is from fresh, high quality ingredients (I probably have tried about half of their menu to date). The staff at this location is great too. They were genuinely very nice, warm and welcoming, but in addition to that, I had a question about a promotion (intending to take advantage of the promo on a future visit) and the manager was really nice applying the promo to my order tonight. That is great customer service! For the quality of food, taste, ambiance and great staff, the value you receive at Bertuccis and specifically the Newington location, cannot be beaten from my experiences.

Someone graciously left a few coupons on the kitchen counter at work, so I decided to visit with the wife and daughter and try it out. I ordered a large pizza to share with my daughter and my wife ordered spaghetti. Pizza was OK, and my wife said she makes better spaghetti. My thoughts: Without the coupon, for what we got, the flavor was basic and overall underwhelming for the price. My daughter however, LOVED the dessert, Limoncello Mascarpone cake Maybe we'll try something else and give it another shot.

Bertucci's was by far our favorite restaurant until recent. We could always get lunch at a reasonable cost. Their pizza is very good and top that with free rolls and salad pushed them over the top. However recently we found out, to add a salad to a lunch (small) pizza is $4.99 a person. That seems a bit excessive and with that will be a long time (if ever) that I will be returning.

Terrible service. We ordered drinks and food at the same time. Drinks came almost 30 minutes after ordering. After almost an hour, our entrees still have not arrived. That’s a VERY slow kitchen. Manager’s excuse - pizza is faster than entrees. Can you believe it? I would recommend dining at Maggiano’s instead. Food, service and ambiance are far better. Another option is Seasons 52. Going to Bertucci’s is a complete waste of time. It ruined our night.

Great pizza and appetizers. The wood burning oven really gives great flavor to the pizza crust and ingredients. Not too mention the scent of the wood burning oven adds to the comfort and warmth of the restaurant’s atmosphere. The service is also excellent and it appears that this restaurant attracts a lot of repeat customers. The menu has plenty of variety and the quality of the food is always consistent. Happy hour specials are great as well. I highly recommend!

NICE atmosphere for a pizza place. Pizza was $13 for a medium cheese and over $20 for one pizze to share between 2 people. Once you add drinks tax and tips, a family preparing a $7 large Sam's club meatlovers pizza together with a family board game seems better.

Nice atmosphere, good food, average service. Had lunch there, I had eggplant, and my friend had chicken parmigiana. They start with bread and olive oil like a lot of Italian places, it was adequate. The food was also adequate. The server lacked attentiveness, and seemed annoyed with request. We tipped her 20%. I would try them again, maybe different dishes and a different server will make for a better experience.

I have almost nothing bad to say about Bertucci's. The staff is typically fast and friendly. The lunch deals pack a bang for your buck, the pizza is delicious, and the entrees are high quality Italian. This is really a great restaurant that gives you so much food for your money. I highly recommend their lunch menu which features great deals. They are also always giving out coupon which makes the price even better.

Horrible experience! I sat down to eat with my boyfriend and we ordered food. I got a pizza which the plate was cold so it made my pizza cold . He ate a salad and you can tell it was cheap salad and four little slices of chicken . Not happy at all . While we were eating, a waitress was vacuuming the whole time . That’s rude ! (Can you wait until the customers leave). Our waitress didn’t offer us dessert or anything you can tell she didn’t want to be their . I left their upset and I will never come back ! I will not recommend this place to no one !

The waitress took forever to wait on me. The salad I had to pay extra with my meal 4.99 was wilted and dried out the waitress waited to give me the salad until my dinner was ready. I could understand this if the restaurant was busy but it was 230 PM in the afternoon. This woman shouldn't be a waitress. Retraining is badly needed. I had leftovers and she didn't give me a bag to put them in. Don't go here unless you like really bad service.

went for my daughter`s 18th bday food was just ok. Drinks waaaayyy overpriced and tasted rotten! Not sure how they did that Fruit flies were everywhere which also means in our drinks. revamping menu would be a good idea as well as serving better drinks at a fair cost.

Really enjoyed the bread rolls. We decided to have an early dinner then a movie. At 5 o'clock we walked right in and seated quickly. Good service and good food. By 6 o'clock there was a line waiting to get in.

We had not been here since last year, so decided to stop for lunch when we were in the area. Since it was around lunchtime, the place was loaded, but it did not take long to seat us. I think the server had more than she could handle because she seemed to be overwhelmed. The pizza took about 30 minutes to get to our table, but it was delicious. We love the Sporkie so forgave the long wait. The next visit will be in between lunch and dinner.

The most delicious pizza! My personal pizza is roasted garlic, pepperoni and mushrooms. All of the pizzas are my husband's favorite he orders a whole pizza just for himself so he has leftovers. To start the warm rolls and olive oil are a special treat while watching the chefs make the pizzas in the open kitchen. I love the atmosphere and the service is great!

I don't understand how this place stays open. It is not normal for dinner to take 1.5 to 2 hrs. Food showed up, meatballs were mushy on the inside, all but one plate looked like it had been sitting for a while. Cod was cooked by someone who hates seafood or likes overly dry fish. Where does our server disappear to? Maybe this location has been majorly understaffed for the past 2 years. Everyone at the table had finished drinks and never got refills. Asked for a second glass of wine and it never appeared. Only when trying to track someone down that would take our money so we could leave were we told that they were out of wine. Out of wine? Someone must be having a great experience here, I just can't figure out who.

First time ever....the calzone was great. My party ordered me a Long Island Iced Tea it left me wanting something else, it was not good. The waitress didn't introduce herself. We had to keep asking the other waiter for our needs. She is the only reason why I will not give 5 stars. An attentive waitress wins me over all the time!!

I went to pick up an online order, which should have been ready by the time I arrived. They hadn't started to make the order until I got there and didn't have containers for red pepper or parmesan so they gave us cups (for 4 pizzas they gave us a gram of each...) They saw me struggling to carry everything out the door, didn't offer to help. It's a chain so what else do you expect?

The food is good but the online ordering is a terrible experience. No beverage option , and after trying to place the order multiple times And seemed to fail , I got billed multiple times . And no it wasn’t the connection. Is was a business order so the connection was fine. Had to call and sort things out also the order Came missing items .

very terrible experience. Finally taking this restaurant off of my dining options. I gave this place numerous times in the last year to prove that my prior experience was an aberration as I used to dine here a lot. Tonight topped it off as my worst experience ever. First we were told the wait to get a table would be about 15 minutes. Finally at 30 minutes we were seated. No one was getting seated during this time despite there being tables available. I realize that perhaps they were short staffed so I gave it a pass at this point. Next we were seated but had to wait about 10 minutes to get any bread even asking the waitress 3 times for bread. The waitress was very disorganized how she was handling her tables. And finally the food came after about 1/2 hour. I could see the pizza was burned on the edges and over cooked. Usually I would mention this and have it redone but already we spent an hour getting to this point. The chicken domani was dried out also. The pizza with extra cheese, meatballs and onions was dried out and tasteless. After the first slice it continued to get worst and worst in taste. For $22.49 for this pizza I felt totally ripped off. Very low quality ingredients in all aspects. Absolutely tasteless. I felt this way last time I visited here too but I gave it a second try but now I know that this place is disgusting. And finally, after giving the waitress my credit card the moment she gave me the check, I still had to wait over 10 minutes to get the card run through the machine so I could sign the bill and go. In between taking my credit card she served a few tables and I don't know what else she did but there is no excuse to make us wait longer still to sign the bill and go. And it was not so busy at his point anymore. Finished with this place!

Went for a work party. Idk if it's because of the government shutdown or people's bar is very low for eating out. Great staff but the main course was terrible. Chicken parm reminded me of a frozen meal, the salad and bread was good but salad is hard to mess up. Disappointed about the overpriced and low quality Italian fare.

Oven baked pizzariffic. Crispy and thin crust. We enjoyed the 5 layers chocolate cake and canoli. Loved that fresh baked bread. Don't forget they do honor veterans ,active duties, police, nurses, firemen and teachers , they will take off 15% off on your tab.

Portabello flatbread pizza was good - though I would have preferred no boat cheese... maybe with tomatoes and /or black olives. Clam chowder was wonderful.. lots of creamy goodness - clam pieces , potatoes... Yum.

The issue I have with bertucci's is the complete lack of consistency. The food is sometimes great and mostly terrible. That is why I don't go very often. There are many places that are not only better, but also are consistent in food preparation.

We love this Bertucci's and have coming to this location for years. Our favorite is the Sporkie (sausage pizza). There is nothing like it! We enjoy everything we order there. During this visit, Stephanie, the manager was extremely professional and helpful as well as our server Dennis who was efficient, personable and professional. We will enjoy many visits in the future!
