Great, Great, Great! From the minute you walk in, great service, tasty fresh food, clean place, lots of tables and plenty of parking. Visited for lunch and we were able to eat, pay and return to East Hartford in an hour. Went there for the first time today and will be back soon!

Good food. Pricing very reasonable. Family of five for dinner, drinks and dessert for less than $60 with tax and tip. Definitely recommend for good Brazilian cuisine in Central Connecticut. Oh, and by the way, my wife is Brazilian and said this is the only place in Connecticut that she's encountered that has authentic açaí bowls like they do in Brazil.

I went to this place for my birthday a couple days ago and it was delicious. The food was so flavorful and hot. The grill meat had a so much flavor, my family and myself were really surprise. Definitely going back. The staff was very friendly too.

Priced excellent, with multiple ways to pay that are convenient; including by weight or all-you-can-eat. Good food and really fresh, and an excellent carving station with fresh roasted meat. It's possible to take to-go as well, and would recommend as the food really fills you up.

So good, reasonably priced and Brazilian-authentic. I have only been there for lunch. Don't go too early or too late otherwise you won't find the best meats. And order orange juice freshly squeezed in front of you.

Delectable Grilled Cuisine at Bargain Prices- in an adorable hole in the wall across from the Bow Tie Cinemas. If you are heading out to a movie and don't mind simply crossing a busy street by foot, there lies a delicious luxury of a buffet and grill at Banana Brazil. Friendly owners and chefs greet you warmly, as you tough out deciding if your stomach is as big as your eyes. A likable atmosphere that just needs some interior redesign and a fresh coat of colorful paint. Don't let the modest location, exterior, and interior fool you- because the food is worth it and it will also be light on your wallet. I recommend bring a date or a group of friends here before or after a film.

Very reasonably priced informal buffet. Hot options include beans, rices, pasta, vegetables, and meats. Cold options include lettuce salad, cabbage, potato salad, other vegetables, sliced peaches, and either rice pudding or hominy corn pudding. The Brazilian fire grilled meats are optional but only a few dollars more. There are many choices including sirloin steak, brisket, beef and pork ribs, tenderloins, sausages, and more. They did run out of some options while we were there and more options are available weekends. Cold drink coolers with many options. Beer and wine available. Desserts looked yummy. Mostly serve yourself here. We did have to ask for napkins and cups of water as none were offered. Tables and buffet area were kept clean and mostly well stocked.

I've had Brazilian buffet a few times (in other US cities and in Brazil) and this one was as great a find as the other ones. There's lots to choose from! Overall, the food is flavorful and filling and prices are unbeatable. Brazilians are known for being friendly and pleasant and the folks working here were no different.

The chicken that was part of the buffet was actually both cold and greasy. I do not mind cold chicken but that is to be reserved for the day after, when you have that thang sitting up in the refrigerator and you already know what you are getting yourself into. The sides, were just as cold but the flavor was there which is why I did not beat you up too badly over the temp. Just something to work on, should you need to make any changes imo.

BBQ selection is top notch, seriously, go here just for that and you won't be disapointed. Buffet selection is interesting and very Brazilian, I enjoyed it. Prices are very good. $7.99/lb. for takeout, $12.99 for buffet, $14.99 for buffet plus BBQ, plus a drink. Reasonable as hell. My only issue is the saltiness of the non-BBQ meat offerings. But really, go here.

THINK/ READ BEFORE GOING! Gave it a chance more than one time! First time with my family my father saw what it looked like an animal through his rice(worm to be clear) believe it or not , second time a piece of hair, when I tried going for breakfast ANOTHER hair in the buffet isle! Disgusted after that. Didn't go after a while, I went last week, it was ok. Today 02/01/19 went again and service people charged me the barbecue price because my husband offered me to TRY at most 1/4 of 1 of their sausage and the burnt steak. ! You make your own opinion of it. Won't see me their again !

Food always good. However, lately every time I asked for medium rare steak, I got well done steak. Chewy and dry. I like my steak medium rare but my guy friends got medium rare just fine. I'm not sure if that's a stereotype that women rarely eat pink steak?

Nice people but the food wasn't labeled and some of the food was cold even though it was in the warmers. Confusing when you go in don't know if to pay first get your meal etc. Not really a buffet. You get charged by the weight of your plate and you can't repeat.

Amazing food. Different from a typical buffet but it's nonetheless worth giving a try. The meat is so fresh and the grill staff is pleasant and welcoming. Plates take a while to be collected but it's a low key place where you can relax without a lot of lines or hustle and bustle. Great food!

The place has the potential to be a great local spot but the presentation and food choices were poor. Items on the buffet were dried up and things that needed replenishing weren't. The vegetables were overcooked and salty, the plantains were over ripe and very mushy. It didn't seem as if any one was attending to the buffet while we were there. We stayed there for 2 hrs talking but after one serving we didn't go back to get anything because the hot food Items were lukewarm or cold. My daughter did the buffet and barbecue she said the barbecue was good. The waitress lack personality she didn't smile. I always wanted to try that restaurant but I will not return there.

Banana Brazil Hartford is part of a small, central CT chain of restaurants serving typical Brazilian fare for lunch and dinner. Traditionally. as here, these restaurants are semi self-serve, organized around a grill where the patron orders slices of meat to be sliced off a roasting spit, then adds rice, beans, plantains, kale salad, etc.

When you first walk in you will see 3 tables on your right and the buffet on your left. Dont be alarmed there is plenty of seating in the dining room. If you walk towards the counter and look to your right there is a room with ample tables. The selection at the buffet is great. They have everything you could want. After picking your food you walk to the counter to request the meats you would like. I had the steak. It was so well seasoned that I had to have more

Really nice place to eat if you want to try something different! Buffet is good! But their BBQ is what you come here for! They do take debit cards, and they also have a ATM here as well! Staff was very friendly as well
