What I liked about this restaurant besides their mouth watering food was that you could eat outdoors !! Everything we ordered tasted so good. Their polenta was to die for with bacon,portabella mushrooms and brussel sprouts. Eggplant parmesan over pasta was great too! I personally recommend that you go and try them! I will be going back that's for sure.

The food was pretty good. I think the best way to sum up the experience was that for only $23 you can get a full meal and salad that many people would not be able to finish. The food itself is not crazy different or special, most is just meat or burgers, but that doesn't mean it's not cooked well. The chefs understand that a good piece of beef doesn't have to be anything more than well cooked and lightly seasoned.

The wait staff are very friendly and well versed on the menu. The steaks are great and if you like brussel sprouts you have to give theirs a try!! My only negative comment would be that it is quite dark; we had to use the flashlight app on our phones to read the menu.

I am from out of town. I have been working in Connecticut for about a month and a half. The hotel gave me some restaurants to visit that we’re good and I chose Amthony Jacks because it was close. I found the food to be well prepared and delicious. I have always been getting the salmon that is grilled. And it is perfection every time. I can substitute a starch for vegetable and that is very helpful to me. The people that help me at curbside are always friendly and courteous. It is always still hot by the time I get to the hotel.

Great amazing restaurant, with great big portions, and amazing mouth watering food. I wish I could eat here every night. So much to pick. The boneless wings are actually some the best I ever had. Love the Bone-In Pork Chop with maple glaze. I could go on forever...if anyone knows me...but will say one of the best wood fire grills, and food never tastes smokey like some wood fire places. This place is the best restaurant in Southington without question. My wife and I come here all the time and the service is top notch. They’ve messed up our order a couple of times but always make it right. Something as simple as a delay in a drink order netted us a free appetizer. Whether you are looking for a bar type of atmosphere or a casual dining setting, they have it all. If you’re in the dining room, you have a cool view of the kitchen while they’re making the food too. If you’re in town and want a solid night out, come here.

Our server was great, atmosphere was good. 1 star because the food was awful. Burger was dry and flavorless, so was the bread and the toppings on it. Filet my wife had was below avg. The price wasn’t bad, it’s just the food isn’t worth paying for. Maybe my expectations for the food were too high based on the atmosphere and service but they just did not match up. I hate complaining about food to a server but it should be better if they want to stick around. Surprised anyone complimented the food on here. There’s no way it stacks up against similar restaurants.

Will honestly say never knew this place existed until I was craving Gumbo soup and thats what I searched in Maps, was very pleased with the restaurant, they have a dinner special M-W-Th , tons of items to choose from; Gumbo soup, was delicious generous with chicken/pork! Seafood Paella- $16 seriously dude? Good heaping of Mussels, Salmon, Chicken, Pork- an enormous plate/ come hungry leave satisfied! The server Jeff was an awesome dude, very attentive to the detail with all the guests, checked in frequently and was personable. The restaurant looks amazing, and is clean inside! Would absolutely return and recommend to friends!

Convenient location with beautiful indoor and outdoor seating on the Southington green. Had Margaret as a waitress the times I've been here and could not be more satisfied with the level of service I've recieved, she is always pleasant and attentive despite the rush- an extremely hard worker. There is always great food, the spinach dip is to die for and the margaritas can't be beat! Comfortable environment fit for any occasion. This is slowly but surely becoming my favorite place to dine out!

Pecan pie and ice cream was amazing. Fish with crab crust was delicious although the crab was less crust and more a dollop (even ordered another to go for my sister). Paella was better as leftovers than it was fresh and I would recommend only a 3/4 portion with the fresh green beans that were on the other dishes which were perfectly cooked. Nice portions and very good service.

Went here for the first time for a birthday. Food was decent. However as i had two more bites of my food i had uncovered a hair under my last two pieces. I let the waiter know. The manager came over and offered a free dessert (worth $8) to compensate for my $32 dollar steak dinner. Extremely disappointed in how this was handled. I understand that i ate nearly my whole dinner, but come on, hair on my plate is only worth $8 to you? That means i will never return, for how it was handled not that there was a hair on my plate.

Food was terrible. Doesn't even deserve a star. The Eggplant appetizer was smothered with so much stuff you couldn't taste the eggplant. I ordered the Short Ribs with Polenta and got what looked and tasted like pot roast. Yuk! The Spinach was very salty. The Polenta was delicious. I will never step foot in that place again. One last observation; How can you call yourself a "Steak House" when you don't even offer Rib Eye Steaks? Major disappointment. If you hadn't screwed up the Short Ribs in the first place, then you wouldn't have needed to replace them with something I can make at home. Please don't try to paint yourself in a better light by saying "Oh look we gave her scallops" (for which we PAID for). You should have given them to me for FREE! Maybe you could have avoided a bad review.

I've gotten better customer service at Burger King. That's sad...especially because i really enjoyed going there because they had good food. Food was great! I got the salmon, shrimp and scallops. Didn't have a reservation, and when I got there it was super busy with about a 30-40 min wait. Luckily a spot at the bar opened up after about 5 min. and I ate there. All in all it was a very good experience, would go again if I wasn't just visiting from Wisconsin.

Went there for the first time this weekend and loved it. The prices are on the higher end but you get what you pay for. I got the 14 oz Prime Rib and it had to be bigger than 14 oz!! The waitress warned me that they do their Prime Rib a little different by cooking it to your desired temp and then throw it on the grill to sear. She said some people are upset by this but; 1) I probably wouldn’t have noticed it was “different” and 2) it was awesome. It came with smashed red potatoes and fresh green beans and carrots that were so flavorful. My husband got the NY Strip and devoured it!! He also got one of the specialty drinks....Caribbean something. It was tasty. Due to the price, we’ll make this a special occasion restaurant but we will definitely be back.

The food here is pretty basic american cuisine, but it is done really well. We each had a different steak menu item, and they were well cooked. The desserts were also delicious. And the service was great. On top of all of this. The prices are great for the quality of the meal you get. Our steaks were very well priced.

Slow wait and service for mediocre food. Ordered a steak with potatoes and veggies. Steak had very little flavor as well as potatoes. Green beans were okay. Asked for a refill on my drink and never got it. A couple who was seated next to us and got there after us got their food first. Would have ordered desert but didn't wanna be waiting for another 30 minutes. Bread and spinach dip were the only things that were worth 2 stars. Also my lemonade was watered down and it was hard to find parking. I could have got a better steak at Texas Roadhouse or some other chain. Server was somewhat knowledgable but super slow as if he was new or something. Not my buisness. Would I come back? If theres a zombie apocalypse and only this place was open for food and shelter then yes but if not, I'll go somewhere else with better quality overall..

This bar-grill was hopping on a Wednesday night. My wife and I joined another couple for dinner and we're impressed with the interesting and diverse menu. My wife had a mushroom and crusted chicken which somewhat disappointingly turned out to be much more like a chicken marsala. I had the Paella which was plentiful in quantity but lacking in overall taste. I would grade this dish a mere "C". Our friends had the paella dish and a shrimp Alfredo that they thought we're also just okay. On a bright note the service was both friendly and quite professional. The dinner courses were also well-timed. Might be a better place for drinks and munchies as opposed to full dinner.

Stopped in for lunch. Had turkey gumbo to start huge chunks of turkey in it very delish. Then grilled chicken sandwich. Everything was fresh not frozen nice little side salad. Meatball grinder was also very good.

We've been going here for a few years now since learning about it. We drive about a half an hour every time just to get here too. It's our go-to steak restaurant. The wait staff, cleanliness, and food is consistently great, way above average for the area. The price is very reasonable. The woodfired grill cooks everything with a hint of flavor, while allowing the natural flavors of the meat to be what you taste. There were a few times over the years a piece of meat has come out slightly incorrect or an incident of that nature. It was always taken care of without hassle or question, and usually reflected that way when the bill came too. The owner is even in there quite often taking care of things around the restaurant as its always busy. I'd recommend making a reservation ahead of time on any day of the week.

The Only Issues I Had Were (A) On-line Menu varied From Physical Copy; Servers were Good about that, and (B) Despite The Numerous Empty Tables {Reserved} We managed to get the Last Table Available, as Tables were filled upon leaving. Located in the heart of downtown Southington center, Anthony Jack's offers a warm, open dining area and great service. Steaks are highly recommended -- these are always cooked to perfection -- but the entire menu offers great dining fare for almost everyone. Highly recommended.

Great place! Went with a group of 6. The waitress was excellent and friendly and good with timing. The only complaint was one of the people in our party is vegetarian and they brought her thr wrong soup which had meat. Luckily they realized it pretty quick and fixed it. Price ranged from under $10 for simple things like burgers to around $25 and up for filet and other dishes. Portions were a good amount. The stuff that came with bread was made with beans and other items and the table seemed to enjoy it. Great for a date night or a larger party for maybe a work function. Parking in the back wasnt difficult for a sat night.
