This was an excellent dinning experience. The food was authentic down to the salsa. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant. I had the bacon shrimp tacos, my girlfriend had the chicken casadillas.

I think I just found my new favorite place in Stratford. They had three TVs on with all the games, the service there was great everybody was fun and friendly, the food is fantastic and they have a big menu of great dishes, and all the people that were sitting at the bar were friendly neighborhood family people... Acapulco's is a fantastic place and I'm definitely heading back soon!

I love this place. Just picked up an order to go for lunch and was waited on by the same server I had when they started some 20 years ago. Always consistent food, friendly servers and you'll always see "the boss" clearing tables or vacuuming the floor. A true Stratford gem.

Acapulco's food is authentic and tastes amazing. The margaritas are top notch, with an extensive flavor selection. Service has always been prompt and pleasant. The staff is happy to answer questions and make recommendations. I have been here numerous times over the years and have never been disappointed. My only wish is that there could be more outside seating during the warm weather and summer months.

If you like to think you like Mexican food but can't tolerate anything spicier than American cheese; this is your place. If you enjoy overpaying for mediocre food and constantly being disappointed; Definitely come here. But if you actually like tasting your food and realize that good tasting, authentic Mexican food is not really that expensive; you are better offalmost anywhere else.

Authentic Mexican food, if that's what you are looking for. We had a reservation for 630p on 4th of July weekend and we actually made it there about 10 minutes earlier; our table was ready. Our waitress seemed to be really young, but a very pleasant girl nonetheless. Rapid service, and no mistakes. My husband fish tacos came a little bit on the dry side and also a friend had been left off the first time she took drinks orders- only reason I'm not going on 4 stars.

Alcapulcos is one of my absolute favorite local places for a girl's night out. The food is phenomenal and the drinks are even better. Wonderful, warm atmosphere, great staff and oh, the Margaritas! I took my clients for a snack and a drink after they signed their closing docs, and while we waited for funding to hit ,so I could give them the key to their new house. The hostess was friendly and smiling, and the owner (I think it was the owner), was obliging and evidently loves his work. We got a sampler appetizer plate and drinks. I absolutely love this little place and highly recommend it. The food was yummy, authentic and delicious. The atmosphere drained the tension out of them and replaced it with a happy, comfortable peace. We need an Acapulco's in Fairfield too!

I walk in to find a calm room with only one other party in it for a dunch meal. Quickly enough the waiter comes to take the order and it gets prepared in a swift manner. But before the meal comes out there is a bowl of chips with some non-spicy salsa and this is enough of a decent appetizer. My meal is a burger on a roll and I asked for no cheese with extra jalapenos. The burger itself tastes fairly well but the jalepenos didn't pack too much of a punch and the added salsa didn't enhance the jalepenos. To my surprise I was expecting this dining situation to be quite spicy, I like spicy things. But the meal didn't quite make it there. For dessert I had a deep fried ice cream. The ice cream itself was okay and the little cracker cakes on the side of it were marginal. The ice cream wasn't too rich of taste and the sides to it had nothing going for it other then the texture. Final thing, the bill took a while to come out. But I thought in most foreign cultures that is polite and even expected by the customers.

My girlfriend and I decided to give this place a 2nd chance (first time was bad to mediocre) as it was on the way home from the beach. One star given, only because it's the minimum allowed. The only good part of the meal was my pre-mixed pina colada. The food was terrible, and the customer service did not compensate. Dont get me wrong the servers were not rude, just not in tune (this was based off of when I told our waitress to take back our barely eaten tortilla soup, and I told her it doesn't taste good) she simply looked at me, reached for the plate and took it away (nothing said-she eventually removed it from the bill). Im pretty apprehensive on leaving bad reviews but I really dont see how anyone could give this place more than 3 stars. This place is not welcoming, and the food is not worth paying anything for. I really do hope they re-train staff, and check the quality of the food they are serving customers.

After being treated poorly at Ole Tavern down the street, my friends and I walked in 10 degree weather to this place and we were NOT disappointed. The bar tender was awesome, the drink selection was pretty fast and we had to stop ourselves from ordering a second of the Nachos Idaho (potato skins with meat and cheese served with guacamole, pick, and sour cream). So great! I think we found our new go-to spot!

Alcapulco’s is a middle tier Mexican restaurant. I went for happy hour with my friends for the first time. The house margaritas are just margarita mix w/a splash of tequila. Not exactly the most bang for your buck. The Fiesta platter was missing guacamole and it overly loaded with cheese, leading to an unpleasant dining experience. The prices were reasonable for a happy hour, but the quality wasn’t. The waiters were also distracted for most of the afternoon. Unfortunately, I will not be back.
