Loved this restaurant for lunch in downtown Aspen. I had the macho salad which was delicious. The chips and dip were also amazing!! Everything is pretty expensive, but that is to be expected in Aspen. Highly recommend this place for lunch. It is owned by the Hillstone group too.

Amazing food! In our opinion, the food definitly stands up to the hipe of this place. We started with the Jackrabbit and Apperol Spritz cocktails, which were both yummy. For food, we had the gulf coast style fish sandwich and the daily special (which was like the Honor burger, but with bacon). Both were amazingly tasty, well seasoned, and just overall a perfect pairing of flavors and textures. The waiter was very attentive, and the atmosphere was lovely and quite cozy (like literally, a tight fairly small space). Medium noise level. Good indoor and outdoor seating. Would definitely recommend!

After the initial sticker shock, I think the prices are actually fairly reasonable, all things considered. Portions are a little on the smaller side, but the quality, atmosphere and service more than make up for it. Don't let the prices scare you away. They're worth it.

I will definitely be going back the next time I'm in Aspen. The food was phenomenal and the people were lovely. I had the burger and I basically inhaled it. My brother had the kale salad and he couldn't stop talking about it afterwards. I had a taste of it and it was bang on. You can actually have that as a meal and be good. Cheers Tavern! The place is rather small but we went with a group of 6 and got seated right away. The wait staff was amazing and very attentive. We were out in less than an hour which is impressive. I only give it 4 stars because though I loved my dish (I got the special), the food got mixed reviews from the group.

Do not waste your time on this place, didn’t get seated but request a reservation, 15 minutes later was called back. Returned to the restaurant to be seated and waited another 10 minutes just for the hostess or anybody to acknowledge that we had a reservation. Granted this was at 3:30 in the afternoon and there is multiple tables open, inside and out. After talking to one of the waitresses who tracked on the hostess down, we were told that we would be seated momentarily. However 15 minutes gone by and still not seated. Gave up and walked away.

It's not cheap. most sandwiches are around $20 and cocktails are $15 BUT(!) everything was made to perfection. The chicken sandwich was probably the best chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life and the french dip was excellent as well. cocktails were excellent and the service was superb. one caveat - They don't have deserts.

This is a place you must visit!!! My husband and I came to aspen for our honeymoon and we ate here two days in a row! We got the french dip sandwich and he got the chicken sandwich. Both were out of this world! Every bite was flavorful and tasted so fresh. We would recommend this place for sure and it is worth every penny. It is a bit pricey but what place isn't pricey in aspen.

Excellent food and even better service! Don't be fooled by the menu that may seem smaller than other places- this is well worth a visit (or three). I enjoyed every bite of my Honor Burger. It seems that deviled eggs are rarely found on many restaurant menus, so I was quite happy to see them here.

The service is exemplary, the food always consistent, and delicious cocktails if you choose. We always end up sitting at the bar with friends. Great wines. The burger and fries are to die for.... cozy place.

Man, this place used to be less expensive and bigger portions. As a long time Aspen local who was there the first day, it's very different from what it originally was. Much smaller servings and much more expensive. Also, I generally like the servers here. Usually very friendly and kind but tonight our server obviously wanted to be anywhere but serving us.

Food was amazing and the people were really nice. Although, I was left in 10-15 minute periods without a drink. It took about 30 minutes for french fries to come out. My burger was out before the fries, so I'm not sure if it's fresh or not.

My mentality walking in this restaurant was highly positive and hopeful. However, as the night progressed, I soon realized that the the owners of The White Tavern are excellent people. The food was uneatable, the portion sizes laughable, and there were very limited food choices. This is someone who regularly enjoys going to McDonald's, so I'm usually not this disgusted with food quality. Heck, I wouldn't recommend this to my ex wife and she cheated on me twice with three different men; that's how shocked I am.

Food quality is great. Wait times might get a lot on rush days. The place is very pretty and has a indoorsy feel. The tables are small and can get congested if you are a large party. It is slightly more expensive than other restaurants that serve food of that quality. Expect to spend around $40 per person with food and drinks

Everything looked very good. I had the French Dip and it was the best I've ever had! Extremely busy even when others are not, come early at least to put name on list, they text you when table ready. This is a must do. Reasonably priced. Excellent food, Excellent service. I will be back.

9:30pm Friday Server: Jugo We stopped in after the comedy festival for a bite to eat and were seated right away BUT it took 15 minutes for the server to arrive. When she did we ordered drinks and our meal in case we didn't see her again. Its a good thing we did because we never saw her again. She didn't ask how I wanted my burger and it came out rare, yuck. I tried to catch someone to send it back but I couldn't get anyone to stop. After an hour I asked a runner for a box and the check. One of the cooks brought the check and we left. I really felt like we would have been there all night if the cook hadn't taken pity on us. If Jugo is your server ask for someone else right away.

By far the most incredibly delectable restaurant in Aspen. This place has my RAVEIST RAVE hands down. Our waitress, without hesitation, recommended the chicken sandwich and the French dip, and we cannot wait to come back again and again just to taste those sandwiches again. Truly....wow. just....wow. we also had the kale salad, which was, by far, the best kale salad we have ever eaten. This place has flavors on lock! To boot, the prices are so incredibly reasonable for the area. We were. Blown away by the quality to price ratio here. You will be, too! Expect a line. No reservations taken, and only seated when the entire party is present (and table available). But: WORTH.THE.WAIT!!!!

Best meals at reasonable prices in Aspen. You get the most bang for your buck at the White House Tavern. The service is comprehensive--everyone on staff contributes to the happiness of every guest. The decor is up-scale mountain tavern. And most importantly, the food is delicious. I highly recommend the Deviled Eggs, and the Thai Steak Salad--both are out of this world.

The White House Tavern is an amazing spot to grab a meal while your in Aspen. They don't take reservations and tables are first come first serve so you may have to wait a little before you are seated. Not a problem they will take your number and message you when your table is ready. Hooch right across the street is a great spot to grab a drink while your waiting.

Perfection! Honestly the best sandwich I have ever had.. but wait, there is more!! The atmosphere is buzzing and the staff work as a well oiled machine to deliver excellent food drinks and service. The place is unpretentious but instead has a quite confidence that they are on to something good and that’s exactly what they are. An uncomplicated menu and drinks selection that is relaxed and has its own personality. White Horse isn’t trying to be clever it’s just delivering on so many levels. If you are lucky enough to be in Aspen your please go and confirm my findings.

Stopped in after some locals suggested it. Had a steak based Asian salad, hamburger, and a fish sandwich. The food was really delicious & unique, the service was quick, and the food came out within 5 to 10 minutes. I can't compare to other restaurants in Aspen as we were there for 1 meal passing thru, but I can say we were really happy with this place.

Any time that I eat somewhere twice in two days, I feel I should leave a review. Mostly, I have to say that the hostess, Noah, was under paid. People are flowing in and like a seasoned air traffic controller, she moved people along to tables or got a phone number to text them when their table was ready; quite efficient. Oh, and the food was great too!!

We showed up a few minutes before the doors were open and a few locals were outside waiting as well. After looking at the menu the locals said White House was the best place to eat in Aspen. So we tried it out. We immediately recognized the similarities to Houston's in atmosphere and on the menu. When looked up on our phones, we discovered White House was part of the Hillstone group restaurants. The locals were a little in denial when we burst their exclusive bubble. Still great food and great atmosphere. Not a large place so plan to come early and grab a drink at the bar while waiting for a table. It filled up shortly after opening.

The menu is very short - a few appetizers, sandwiches, salads and burgers. Same menu for lunch and dinner. The food is delicious but lunch is quite pricey. I would rather eat dinner and spend the same amount of money + drinks. The space is really small and the tables are side by side. I always feel like people next to us are listening to our conversation :) You can't avoid it - the space is tight. They do not take reservations and it is difficult to find a table as a walk-in when it's busy in town. I would definitely recommend if you want a really good burger or sandwich. The portions are super big!

Wow. The food, the service, the location, all perfect! Small place with a lot of flavor. The prime rib and au jus/horseradish were to die for. Along with the Honor Burger and the Dip Duo. It is a small Quaint restaurant, and I totally enjoyed the interior. they have a limited menu at least on that Friday that I was there. Which I completely understand the restaurant was packed wall-to-wall and they have a little patio as well. we had a French dip and a burger and a side of fries which came in a little cup with parchment paper. It was excellent service and the food came out on time and the waiters were absolutely wonderful. If you are in the Vail Colorado area it is a must see and try

Strange environment but great food. Aside from the crammed into a corner feeling you get for just stepping inside and the general on top of one another you feel as you take a seat the experience was good. Food was prepared well and the atmosphere was enjoyable. I would recommend this restaraunt to anyone that wants a quick bite. I feel like an extended stay would be uncomfortable.

Passing through Aspen we stopped here for lunch. I had a delicious shaved prime rib sandwich while my girlfriend enjoyed a grouper sandwich. Both were very good. Highly recommended if you are travelling through or staying in Aspen.

The menu is 5 stars across the board. The Rustic Americana setting with a touch of Farmhouse Revival is 5 stars. A great meal and great evening with some minor miscommunication from the host/kitchen. The kitchen is a mad frenzy of culinary creativity and the food comes out quick.

I ordered the burger. It was a great burger. However, it came with no sides. I had to order the French Fries a la cart, $6 just for the fries. The total bill for burger, fries and one beer was $35 a little steep for lunch. I sat at the bar and I felt like the bartender was trying to shoo me away as fast as she could so my seat could be flipped.
