The meatballs were good but the beat salad only had one half beat slice on it and the ravioli was under cooked. When these small plates are $12-$18 they should be great, but instead you're paying for hit or miss food and tourist prices. Highly acclaimed with 4.5 stars. I don't see it on this Monday evening. Maybe Friday is better. I probably will skip this place for our next visit.

This is a solid spot in Beaver Creek for an upscale meal with friends and/or family. I really liked their steaks and seafood dishes. Really decent wine selection as well, and the bartender crafted me a delicious Negroni. It gets pretty busy, so reservations are definitely recommended.

Been there twice, not impressed either time. First time was with family, food was OK, but the wait staff was apathetic at best. Second time was Christmas Eve, had reservations, still waited, and then when we were seated, the food was pretentious in presentation, but bland when tasted. Again with the apathetic wait staff, and the lecture when I complained my dish wasn't cooked enough. I understand the cooking method, but when the meat is chewy and cold, that's a completely other issue. We won't be back.

Vin48 has a wonderful, playful and thoughtful menu, we were four for dinner for my daughters birthday, had really excellent service with a laid back vibe, no pretentious attitude at all. Just Colorado cool. We had the Beet salad, fettuccine, ravioli, mussels, broccoli, scallops, and bread. Small plates to share experience. Not as small as Tapas, but smallish. They were all excellent. We had the Scribe Sparkling Riesling to get the evening going, an superb recommendation. I loved the Ravioli, homemade pasta, they were very special. The atmosphere is mellow and maybe some would think a little cold, but I enjoyed the laid back feel. Highly recommend, I understand that they have a really excellent happy hour, will check that out when I am back in Avon.

We went for happy hour across the street from our condo and we were pleasantly surprised. We each had the pinot grigio and shared some roasted cauliflower. The help was gracious and informative since this was our first visit to Avon. We needed some hiking information and they were of great assistance. Vin 48 is an excellent little restaraunt that was referred to us by a local. I ended up eating here twice with my wife while visiting Avon and never had a bad meal. The waiters and waitresses were nice and helpful. During one visit my wife and I were neglected by our "assigned" waiter however a nearby waitress made sure we were taken care of. Among the list of spirits and wines were a nice selection of local and regional whiskeys, wines and beers. Would recommend going by at least once.

I did enjoy my meal here, the service and management treated us incredibly well. We had a dog with us and they were kind and hospitable to her too. We ordered drinks (Old Fashioned) that we’re sub-par. I had to ask for a side of simple syrup because they tasted like liquor only. The food was ok at best. Portions weren’t delicate, flavors were almost there but just, well, lacking... they weren’t terrible, just meh. Food appeared to be piled on top of one another and while aesthetically pleasing, some parts of each dish were too large and overwhelmed the flavors of the rest. Some things needed heat or acid, salt-FAT. Those flavors that make you savor the food. Make you want that next bite. I probably won’t be back, but gave it three stars for the wonderful service we received.

The food and service here are very good. The ambiance is pretty good too but the high ceilings make this place especially noisy. We tried to have an employee party and the noise level was so high that we couldn't hear any speeches that our staff was making. The wine and beer selections are fantastic and the prices are on the upper end of reasonable. Besides the noise, my only other suggestion would be to call before you go. I arrived there numerous times just to find that they were closed. It hasn't been a very off season friendly place for locals to go in the past so don't rely on them to be open for the same set hours in changing seasons. By calling, you will also get a chance to hear how much background noise there is which should help you decide if it is too noisy for your occasion. As far as the view, well, they have a wall of windows behind the bar that looks west towards the traffic circle but the sun blazes in the late afternoon. Sometimes it is great for soaking in the sun, other times it is difficult to sit at the bar without sunglasses. All in all it is a great place to get lost in a crowd and enjoy good food and drinks.

Complimented with an adequate wine selection, this is great place to meet with friends, family or even a date. Our table was happy with their meals. Reservations were necessary and on busy nights the kitchen my get a little slow. Afogado is not on the dessert menu, yet the wait staff is very accommodating, so don't be shy with your specific requests.
