The beers and service we had were pretty good. The atmosphere is great with an accommodating rooftop bar on a nice summer day. My only issue was with the rooftop table setup. The tables do not have umbrella holders so temporary large G-clamp holders are fastened to the table tops/sides. At our table one person had to sit with the clamp digging into their leg and we came away with a cracked phone screen right where the bottom of the G-clamp had a metal tightening rod. We highly suspect it was bumped while sitting with a phone in the pocket. Hopefully they can change out their tables someday but until then I would just sit inside.

If you're looking for great food and fantastic hand crafted cocktails this is the place. The fish and chips is my favorite to order. It's always fried to perfection, with my favorite kind of batter... beer! Evertime I visit the bartenders take awesome care of me. Last time he let me charge my phone behind the bar and the conversation was really great. Thanks WET Boulder!

Went to Boulder for the first time. I remembered this place from man v food so we made a stop for lunch and it did not disappoint. The service was great and the food, holy cow...it was awesome. Star of the show was the Dirty Wings. Recommend by the staff and glad we tried 'me, some of the best wings I've had. Next time in Boulder you have to hit this place. It's in a cool part of town of town so after lunch we walked the area and had a blast.

I visit the West End every time I'm in Boulder County. Cousin Tommy did the 50 wing challenge in 27minutes 34 seconds. Even the wait staff and cooks were cheering him on. Don't miss it.

First bar I went into when I moved to boulder. I was initially impressed by their whiskey and cocktail selection. However, the bartender was kind of rude. The food portions are huge and pretty decent though. Gave the bar a couple more shots here and there over the past year or so, but I tend to get the “I don’t want to be here vibe” from the bartenders, so I never stay long. Both places next door are much more inviting, even if you have to join a cult to get into one of em.

We had a terrific time here tonight. They accommodated a very large group with tremendous aplomb graciousness. The service was fantastic and on to of everything. The manager team was helpful, friendly and completely professional. The food was outstanding and served very quickly. They even handled multiple checks. I highly recommend this place and will go back often!!

One of our favorites! Get the limeade. Fiance loves the chicken and waffles and I am obsessed with the wings! Fries taste great as long as they come hot! Been a few times where fries came a bit cold.

The food was great I wish I had a better trained server. William served us, he got on of the orders wrong, we had to wait longer for the actual order to come. Then when we recieved the bill he charged our part with the meal we did not request. He seemed disoriented like we was high on something. We finally got the correct bill and he didn’t even acknowledge his mistakes. Come to find out he added two extra dollars on the Tip. This is unfair and he needs to be trained on his performance.

Really nice place with great view from the back deck. Had their smoked brisket which was very moist and had lots of flavor. They do have a nice selection of craft beer but a few were out. The corn bread was very good rivaling what you get in the south. I would highly recommended and plan to go back.

Good food, good beer, good prices. We shared a butcher's block, which for the price is a lot of food. The meat was great, I was happy the slaw wasn't mayonnaise based, and tasted rather good. Cornbread had jalapeno in it, but was sweet and fluffy. The service was excellent. Only had a few sips of the limade and didn't like it, waiter took it off the bill. He was attentive, friendly, and helpful in choosing food and drink. Definitely a place to visit again.

Cute, old school (dark heavy wood) in decor. But cocktails are fresh, clever and modern, great ice. Good beer/cider taps. Bartender knows and showcases the local liquor, spirits and drafts.

Great downtown Boulder restaurant with a solid beer selection, an even better whisky selection, and a great menu to boot. We like their BBQ dishes the best. There's no better spot for afternoon drinks in summer than sitting on the roof here.

We've enjoyed dining on the patio before (what a view!) but Sunday was the first time we were at the restaurant for a catered, special event. We gathered to celebrate the life of a late friend, and everything about it was lovely. About 35 of us were in the north room upstairs, with a full bar and view to Pearl Street. Our invited jazz combo played in front of the windows. The food was fabulous and best of all, the serving staff was very attentive, efficient and kind. Highly recommend West End Tavern as a venue for a small party, meeting or special event.

Destination of choice for Boulder best brisket sandwich. With a little luck, you can get a seat on the rooftop ariat, very pleasant for entertaining guests.I am especially fond of the fish water IPA and tremendous bourbon selection.the brisket is of note since it seems to come from a bar, could be a little try on the smoke, what perfection requires roadside monsterositis of smoking acutrumond. how they pulled off this good of a brisket in a kitchen blows my mind.

Do yourself a favor and ORDER the cornbread. Don't walk, RUN. The cornbread with the honey butter is so good. The wings were also fantastic and the ranch was great. THe brisket is out of this world. The pickles were also top notch. Highly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere was really cool as well.

Great food and beer choices. Got the drink that is a beer a d a cider and it was very good. Taco tuesday is $2.50 a taco. The shell was as big as my hand spread out. Meat and vegetarian options. Local art on wall. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have events and board games.

Was having a weekend in Boulder with friends and popped in here for lunch due to the good reviews. Was even better than expected. Tavern was warm and cozy on a cold, snowy day. Delicious appetizers, drafts, mixed drinks and sandwiches! Service was just right without being bothersome. We all loved each of our meals and never felt over crowded or rushed! A great place to relax a couple of hours.

Hassle to get seated (2pm on a Sat). Sticky BBQ sauce messy tables and menus. Questionable beer pours (3/4 glass because their keg ran out?!?) Good burgers. Don't want to listen to a comedy sketch over the speakers while I'm in the bathroom.

This used to be one of our favorite places, for the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere. However, we were let down on our latest visit which is a trend we are noticing in several downtown Boulder restaurants. It was a Saturday night - so you would expect it to be a busy night. We were seated upstairs where it seemed there was only ONE waitress for the entire floor. We waited 15+ for her to take our orders. I understand it was not her fault, but there is a bigger problem in scheduling. Once our food came, it was lackluster. I got a buffalo chicken burger and couldn't even eat the bun it was so soggy. Just not what you would expect at any restaurant on Pearl St.

The West End has been steadfastly holding down it's spot on West Pearl St. for many years while so many other places have come and gone. It's just a rock solid tavern with well priced, delicious food and drink. Their happy hour food portions are very generous and, if you can get a patio table on a pleasant evening, the people watching is excellent entertainment.

Ate there tonight. Seemed nice. Ordered pulled pork patter. $15. One small corn bread and Cole slaw. More than half the pulled pork was huge chunks of fat that I could not eat. I asked the waitress about it and she said that's just the way it is sometimes. So I paid for food I could not eat, they didn't care and I walked away paying $17 and still hungry. I would NOT recommend eating there.

Used to be a beautiful and iconic bar with good bar good til mini and beaver sold it. Overpriced food designed for cu kids not spending their own money, tourists, and neo yuppie derfs that do not understand the difference between genuine quality and the price tag. Used to have the best bar deck in boulder, but now you can stare at the backs of other buildings. You will enjoy your food, and drinks, good luck with the service. If your willing to pay 15 bucks for mac and cheese with bacon go nuts.

Paid $90 for mediocre food and mediocre service. Cocktails we're good though! We had three people in our party and ordered two cocktails, one appetizer, three entrees. We ordered the cornbread which was dreadful. Ok flavor and the sweet butter was good but the cornbread was rushed and came out under cooked and soggy. Service took longer than normal and the entrees were pretty underwhelming - overcooked chicken tenders, unripe fruit on salad. The salad was $19 after adding grilled chicken!!! One of us got the pulled pork sandwich which was good. Unless this night was a fluke, I won't come here again. Not worth the $$ when there are fantastic restaurants on the same block.

Great place. Great atmosphere, great music. We had the platter for 2 which is easily enough for 3. Meat was cooked beautifully, especially the brisket which was tender and juicy. Great range of beers, and an amazing range of whiskeys (and whiskys too). You can create a tasting flight of any of the hundreds of whiskeys behind the bar. I don't know how the bartender remembers where to find them all. Good service too. The crowds just kept rolling in while we were there so I suggest you book ahead.

I love this place! I always take people visiting Colorado there. Everything I've had has been delicious. Get the burnt ends appetizer! It's delicious and their bbq sauce is so good. You can sit up top and get a view of the mountian.

Was there this past Saturday. Maybe no wait on a saturday was a red flag but I had never been and we (friend and I) figured we'd give it a shot. Ordered a brisket sandwich and recieved very dry, tough, flavorless meat placed with some bland slaw and very dry toast. It was edible, I suppose, and if it weren't for the fact that I was very hungry and didn't want to wait for another meal I would have sent it back. For 18 bucks a sandwhich, brisket in that condition should never have left the kitchen in the first place. Fries were ok.

Company Happy Hour Event We hosted a small company happy hour in the space upstairs at West End Tavern yesterday and they did not disappoint! The weather was nice so the upstairs bar area was perfect with the windows open. We ordered the blackened shrimp, salad, and deviled eggs as apps, all of which were great. Being a group of carnivores, I opted for a buffet with ribs, blackened chicken, and pulled pork as our main dishes; cole slaw, veggies, and mac-n-cheese for the sides. Everyone was so gleefully full from going back for multiple servings! The food was fantastic - chicken was spiced just right with something I can't quite put my finger on, the pulled pork was tender, and the rub on the ribs was tame enough for kids to be able to enjoy and for grownups to appreciate a slight kick. The vinegar coleslaw was a favorite as was the mac-n-cheese, no surprise there. Finally, and in my opinion, most important was the service! Melissa, was our server and Franco was the bartender for our group - both were extremely pleasant, and eager to help and answer questions. Franco was knowledgeable about the liquors and was able to whip up a few custom cocktails based on individual preferences and I heard no complaints. Long story short, being the person at our office who plans these things, you guys made me look good - thank you for making it a wonderful event!

I just have to say, I have never been here. I have heard great things from friends and family around Boulder so I was excited to try here tonight. However, after reading a review posted on Google, and hearing about the lack of a wheelchair ramp (then reading the response from the owner), I can no longer support a business like this. Very disappointed and sad.

Good hamburgers, great beer, regular wings. The atmosphere is really nice and you can see the mountains if you are in the terrace. The waiters are really polite and the service is great. I tried an IPA beer that I still dream about, but don't remember the name. It's a must if you are visiting Pearl Street. It is also cheap to eat.

We loved our visit to the West End Tavern! Burgers were fantastic, and the waitress was absolutely top notch. When one member of your party has a special diet, it can be difficult to go out. Here, the waitress listened and asked questions enough so that she understood the restrictions and could communicate with the cooks to ensure the best tasting meal possible, within that special diet. She even suggested and confirmed backup order just in case the first options weren't possible. All this, even with St. Patrick's Day chaos all around. When the food came out, it was perfect and she soon checked in with us to make sure it was. We'll be back!
