This Restaurant is classified in the category of American restaurant.
We initially sat in a booth that we sunk a good four inches in. We had to move to another booth that was just okay. Food was good. Beer was cold.
My Dad tells me that little bear has not changed since he was in his 20s. I'm tending to believe it without hesitation. I love it here, so unique, so chill. If you have never tried a burger piled high with cooked and rich mushrooms, this is the place to try it.
Shhhh, don't tell anyone.
Great time. Aweome atmosphere. Good food.
One of the best places in Colorado!
Great burgers! Fun bands. Beautiful Evergreen!
Awesome place, live music and friendly staff
Great bar and music venue. Tons of character, reasonable prices, and good sound system for shows.
We come to Bear Creek Cabins every year and the Little Bear is our favorite hangout. Live music is always fun!
Parents been coming here 40 years, hadn't been in a while and Rich gave us A+ service. Such a welcome change to see a place stay the same and not be another homogenized new California money bar. You guys rule!
Very very good wait staff
Food was not very good and service was a bit spotty. Enjoyed the band!
Atmosphere is amazing and service and food were both good. Would definitely go back and wouldn't hesitate to take visitors for a taste of the mountain experience.
I couldn’t figure out why everyone that worked here was so arrogant - one person was just unpleasant. If you like bars that have been soaked in beer and not cleaned for the past 20 years (and you love the resulting smell), you have found a new home.
Jenn was very customer forward and verycool!!
Loved the food and great atmosphere. Local musician played and sang while we ate. Love to go back!
Rustic & well worn beer joint. Unfriendly staff but the customers seemed like a nice bunch.
Wow! So much fun and a truly great band with awesome vocals!
They have high quality entertainment, great sound, I saw Teledonna there. The food and staff were absolutely incredible!
Nostalic envirement!
Food was good but the place took a little to get used to.The place is great for bands. Needs bathrooms upgraded!!
The staff and atmosphere were awesome!!!
I will always visit Little Bear while in Evergreen.
Great music and alot of fun!!
Great little place with great music options. But wait was extremely long to get a cocktail. The bartenders were trying to also waitress. Need designated bartender.
Car service was very good and the band was awesome
Awesome experience!! The band Silver Lining was fantastic!!
This place goes back to the 70's (maybe the 60's) and the decor (license plates, dollar bills and photos of musicians on the walls and ceilings) prove it. The burger my partner and I had was pretty good. For $11 it should be! The guy playing his guitar was pretty good too. Not bad for a Sunday afternoon in Evergreen.
Everything was kind of dirty including the menus, served with plastic utensils and styrofoam plates, burger that was supposed to be "medium" with "a little pink" came very rare and stringy. Would not recommend for other than drinks and fried foods.
Its still above the rest even if it has been 30 years ... Try the Tatonca Burger ... And stay for the music ...
Cool experience and the bar food was good!
good to go. Good time there weeks ago with my friends
The little Bear is an eclectic place that has a history of live music. But don't expect to be able to get good seating because the front of the stage faces the bar and the tables are on the sides of the stage. The sound system is about 30 years old, and the speakers are poorly placed. Even still it's a fun little place to go to to catch your occasional band, it has more of a reputation then it has quality.
The most wonderful burger I ever had. Highly recommended!
Great service, fun crowd and good bands!
Food was not good. Building was a really cool old building.
the little beer is a fun place to hear a variety of music groups. You can enjoy your choice of a pizza, Wings, nachos or other choice is to go along with a cold relaxing beverage.
This place was awesome! The staff was super friendly and the crowd was fun! Live music was a blast.
Awesome food great bartender amazing owner my new place to go in evergreen
A wonderful place with decades of history behind it. Whether you're stopping in the middle of the day for lunch after a hike or grabbing beers after catching a show at Red Rocks. You owe it to yourself to stop here. Great food, drinks, and atmosphere all around.
Thoroughly disappointed. I don't live far, so I've been looking forward to going to LB for a while. I took my mom who was visiting from out of town, and we were treated poorly to say the least. There was a guy hanging out on the porch who looked to be a patron who, when we walked by, said "Hey! 6 dollars." It became evident that he was collecting a cover charge, but he didn't offer a welcome or so much as smile or thank you when we paid to enter. Upon sitting at the bar, I asked the bartender what was on tap and she replied by saying, "Well, what do you want?" We planned on having a meal here, but instead, we just left. I don't ever plan on returning.
I will always love this place. I've had so many memories here. Tammy has been there for...a very long time. She is hilarious.
Live music. Good atmosphere. A little loud. My big knock on this place is the service. Felt bad, but they really need more waiting staff and bartenders. Open tables were not bussed and we had to stand for 10 minutes till we finally decided to bus our own table. Did not take our food order for twenty minutes and the table next to us said they had been waiting for their food for 40 minutes. There was a pile of food at the window waiting to be served, but the waitresses just kept walking right by it. The food sounded good, but we left with empty stomachs. Very disappointing.
A must place to see and experience especially if there is a good band playing.
A very cool historical stop. Had a great lunch and drink. Even cooler that they suggested you walk around. Every nook and cranny filled with history and cool things to look at :)
This place is so much fun! They hire great bands from different genres and there are a million things to look at - photos of famous musicians and visitors, graffiti, bras from groupies... It's a MUST if you're in the area (Google its history while you're at it). ***Upstairs is the best vantage point to watch the bands, even though you have to get your own drinks and food from downstairs. They've spent a pretty penny on the sound system, which makes for an even better experience. I like their cheeseburgers and quesadillas. I'm guessing daylight would expose a litany of cobwebs and worse, but there's a lot to be said about temporarily forgetting about the stresses of life at a legendary dive.
Love this little bar. Between the staff and the live music you cant ask for any better. I'm new here, just moved from Alabama, and they (the staff and the customers) have all made me feel at home and welcome. It's a must, to drop in and check this place out. Great on the prices for food and your choice of alcohol. Highly recommend.
Great atmosphere, great music!!
The fact that both Google and your WEBSITE say open until 11pm and when I call at 1020 for food, you tell me your closed. I drive up there and sure enough the doors are locked and all the employees are just chatting around the bar. Truly disappointed. Fix your hours!!
If you like processed frozen food then this is the place for you. Nothing fresh and barely edible. Bloody Mary is vodka and plain tomato juice in a plastic airplane cup. These guys need #BarRescue bad!
It was a fun place to go.Good band and a happy go lucky atmosphere.
Awesome little bar!!
Good eats! Good music! What more can you ask for
They advertise the best burger in town but honestly it was horrible. The waitress, once she finally noticed we were there was slow and didn't check once to see if we needed another drink or how the food was.I ordered the Burger medium but it came out charcoal, disgusting. Two other guys came in to eat and I was going to tell them to save their money but my wife stopped me.
Amazing atmosphere, amazing and friendly staff, great prices.
Kerry Pastine. and the CrimeScene were out of this world!!!!
Same as it has been for 25 years we have been going there. What a blast, The evergreen rodeo makes the fun.
Iconic mountain nightclub
Good beer and the salsa was good, but don't bother with the guacamole (ours looked a day old). We stopped here after a hike for a little refreshment. There was a guy playing live music who was really very good, but they serve the beer in plastic cups (instead of chilled mugs) and the place was "old and tired" and, well, dark! Lots of bras hanging around the stage signaled that this is a party place more than anything. Probably the kind of local dive where lots of shots are bought and things get a little crazy. I probably would have liked this place in my college days but next time I think we'll drive a little further for our post-hike beer!
A legendary place with a rich history. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and enjoy good music, good food, and good drinks.
Fun place
awesome nostalgia, band mediocre, strange bar setup. doesn't appear to serve food, just booze. been here for decades and survives on location and reputation of "the good old days".
Awesome dive bar with fantastic music. This place is a no frills joint with friendly staff. I would come back here anytime I visit Evergreen.
Great the best place to have fun
Loved the Little Bear Saloon and listening to the Ryan Chrys And The Rough Cuts Band play. Great time it was. Great picture band.
Great beer and people!!
Great fun listening to an awesome and talented group that was a Bruce Springsteen "The Boss" tribute band. Drinks and wings were decent too.
I would go back relaxed kick back place with decent food
Disappointed in the preparation of the food. My family and I had to box up our food and finish cooking it fully at home. Needless to say it wasn't great but we made it edible. Staff however was kind up to a point. They sent the food back to the kitchen for us yet the food came out worse than the first time. Unfortunately the staff apologized yet still made us pay which is why we took it home to cook it fully otherwise it would of have been a waste of money.
Best bar burger I've ever had
Awesome atmosphere/ top notch views
Tammy is an amazing bartender. Couldn't ask for better!
They were out of chicken. Out of slaw. And the restrooms were filthy. Really disappointing.
Great food and music and fun atmosphere.
Just stopped in for lunch on a motorcycle ride beautiful scenery both up and down the mountains The little bear has been in Evergreen as long as I can remember and I'm just amazed on the amount talented musicians that have played their over the years. And such a small venue. So if you're ever in Evergreen you should stop by to say you've been in the famous Little Bear
Bras on the ceiling, and great burgers. What else could you want
What a fun place to go!! The service and food was good.
Good food. Great music
Good place
Fun, good music
Just alright. Food was good but waitress had a tude and was flippant.
Service poor and food ok. Fun and nostalgic venue. Good music.
Their drinks are NOT watered down and the band plays high quality music. Haven't tried their food yet.
My husband and I visited yesterday. I honestly haven't been here since I was a kid. It was the middle of the day and was a little different than I had remembered it from childhood. ( It seemed a lot brighter back in the day) We had the foothills burger and Jenn served us. Staff was nice and burger was more tasty than I imagined. It's probably not the cleanest place but overal we had a great experience.
Good atmosphere. Good food. Good times. Usually the service is lacking, but Barb was a great waitress.
WORST experience at a restaurant. The waitress was rude and rarely came to our table. We saw three other tables come and leave before we ever got our check. Not to mention when the check did come she added her own tip in pen. We were a party of ten and didn’t let us split the check because she was “too busy” and walked away. When we complained she said we can split everything evenly.
I lived in Denver 1979-1980 and have not been back. The Little Bear is my favorite bar ever. There used to be open-mike on Sunday afternoon and one time Denver dropped by and played a few songs. Just a wonderful time in my life. One of these days I need to stop by again.
Love the Little
Great band, Hillbilly Demons and good staff
I wouldn't recommend the BLT...#areyoukiddingme
This place is old... And I mean old! I first came here in 2010. There is usually live music and the interior creates a perfect unique setting with all types of license plates, dollar bills and other memorabilia hanging from the walls! I heard it was shutting down, which is a bummer. The only thing I wouldn't do here is order the nachos!
Virtually no service was provided to me. I visited The Little Bear on a Sunday afternoon after hiking with my sister. There were no servers to be found. We seated our selves. We went to the bar and stood in line to get beer. Then we had to go to the kitchen area and waited a while to order our food to a kitchen staff. After I left the place, I wondered why I even tipped for service I never got. I will not come here again.
Great atmosphere. (Vintage Colorado), great food, and live music!
The little bears a great dive bar with great food. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays and we had the patty melt and hamburger cheeseburger. The food was great and the pricing was reasonable.
This is such a great little Jim hidden in the middle of Old Town Evergreen. It's probably been about 30 years since I visited and it's still the same old joint with great bands
Perfect is the right word. Live music perfect service food taste really good. Try a burguer they are one of the best I ever try. And I try a lot
Love going to The Little Bear when I'm in Evergreen. A tradition since 1988.
Very cool place. Great burgers!!
Good music, fun place, but they need to hire more wait staff. The waitress did a good job, but was running her tail off and quite a bit stressed out.
Super dirty, lame band
Really enjoyed the Runaway Express
Great music and fun!
Great burgers after a long hike. Live music was nice. Definitely a good choice out of the choices we saw on our trip.
Great atmosphere and even better service
Good music, sticky dirty bar, terrible staff.
Love the live music here!
Awesome tunes
Drove an hour to get here because it was recommended to me. They closed an hour and a half early because they “close whenever,” said a girl walking by. If you have business hours, you should stay open for them, or make it visible online that you close “whenever.”
Historic place and good atmosphere!
Great wings. Good bar mates. Sweet bartender. What more could I want?
Love LOVE love
A great little spot for live music and drinks. It's a fun place to check out and it isn't too far outside the city.
Best bar in Evergreen. Haven't been here in almost 40 years. Hasn't changed much. Cool joint
Good service and food
Absolutely Loved the band! Made my week!! Great service too.
The service was bad but even worse the food was terrible. We ordered pizza ($18) which resembled one of those “fresh” pizzas from Walmart that you bake at home. The crust was stiff and hard to bite into it with bland flavor. It really was terrible which is too bad because the building was cool.
It's always a good time at the little bear.
Great bar with live music. Normal bar food and drinks with great prices. Pool tables and balcony upstairs overlooking the main Street.
The Employees are the most awesome group of people who work there, I cant really do the employees the credit they deserve and they are amazing an hard working group that I have come to love and admire
Very eclectic. Live music in the middle of the day... Rare!
This is a DIV DIVE BAR! I grew up seeing this bar but never went in because I wasn't old enough. I did attend a high school punk show there once it's even documented in the yearbook that year but it was sodas obviously. Fast forward to adult me and I loved it! It is a piece of Evergreen history
Great atmosphere, had a great time!
A true classic. Hasn't changed much since the 70s. Grab a burger, a pizza and/or a drink. Cool spot.
Great service, fun atmosphere. Delicious burger. Perfectly cooked pink all the way through. Burgin'? Come here and get your satisfaction.
I was told this was a great place by friends. They did not steer me wrong. Great service great drinks.
I am an Evergreen native. The little bear used to be cool and fun, now it is lame at best. The doorman is a little twerp. Save your cover money and go to cactus
This place brings you back in time. You can smell the History here. You can almost see Doc Holliday and Wild Bill sitting at the seat watching a show and having a drink. The stairs are worn down from the cowboys boots going up and down. Names are carved 9n virtually every free space there is on the wall, ceilings and seats. Truly a Unique place. Loved it
Always! Has great music!!! Good crowd, fun people best times!
They had live music on a Wednesday night! the singer was pretty good, I was impressed. The atmospheres is kitschy. I could see where it could be a fun place to go.
Great concerts and very nice people
I always love going to the Bear! Evergreen has always been my favorite town, and the Little Bear is a classic staple in Evergreen. The people are always fun and friendly, the food is decent, drinks are cheap. My only complaint would be the service on busy nights. As a former bartender, I have already envisioned the perfect resolution to what seems to be a neverending problem at the Bear: bartenders are not stationed anywhere in particular, and it can (and does) sometimes take more than 15 minutes to even get one to acknowledge you, let alone get your drink. There are enough of them behind the bar on those busy nights, so if they had a better system - like maybe one bartender stationed on each side (and the corner), focused strictly on that station but backing up others when they are able to - then I'd give the Bear the 5 stars it really should be able to achieve. Otherwise, this is by far my favorite place to go for live music and very reasonable prices, as well as meeting new people and making new friends.
Visited this location last Wed. The band was great. The food was good and the atmosphere was overall fun. Love that you can write on a dollar and get it stapled. I gave it a 3 because I am a stickler for customer service. I was surprised when we ordered we were pointed at individually and impatiently by the server asking, What do you want! When making other request the server told us to wait because she doesn't have Octopus Arms. I am not saying this is a reflection of the overall service of this place I have visited before did not receive this experience. It was not a busy time so we left dumbfounded at the customer service experience.
Good food good entertainment great staff
Weir old fashion decoration. Live music and food taste good.
Always a fun place to visit.
Nice bar.
I love this place... It's been around for quite a while... Never ever gets old!!
Great place to hang out! They have some amazing buffalo wings. Live music sounded great as well the HILLBILLY DEMONS put on one heck of a show! Will come back . Staff was super friendly as well.
After walking around evergreen lake, we decided to try little bear for food/drink. The waitress was talking to a customer and was very rude to him. I tried to buy a beer at the bar, but there wasn't a bartender. We quickly left, I remember years ago it used to be a friendly place to go....times have changed!!!
Nice authentic place. Live music.
Live music 7 days a week. We ate there 2 nights and both meals were very good. We saw some negative comments about the food but we rate it as very good. The staff are great and there's lots of dancing and fun in the evenings.
Love this place NEVER have I NOT had an awesome time there!!
Great old school bar feel, havnt heard music or had the food but great conversations and an old school bartender who expects you to know what you want haha
I have been to Little Bear several times to see bands. Having played in the Denver area for quite some time myself, I know a lot of these guys and like to support them. Little Bear has always been pretty much a cluster .... Horrible layout for bands, heavy covers (hope they share that with the bands), minimal seating, mediocre food (not bad though), light pours and horrible service. The good ... well, their drink prices are cheap. But you might as well order them two at a time since they will be weak and it will take forever to get another. Last Saturday I think was my last visit. I'm done. Typical lack of service. Go to bar to order food. Wait at bar for 5 minutes just to get a drink while the bartenders goof around with each other behind the bar. But I was there for the band. And they couldn't even get that right. Band had two guitarists. Bar has a house PA run by their own guy. All flippin' night couldn't hear the guitarist on the right and the guy on the left was too loud. And I know these guys well. They weren't touching their amps. Talked to them more than once so I know they talked to the sound guy. Stupid meter watcher wouldn't leave his "booth" for 3 minutes and listen with his ears. And I doubt it was a technical thing because the louder of the two was coming out both channels. Definitely not a channel thing. But, whatever, Little Bear will do just fine. They'll float long on the business from people who see some sort of appeal in this place. What they lose is someone like me who not only spends good money himself, but who brings people along and who people listen to for band recommendations. Whatever. It's Evergreen. What do you expect?
This is a nice bar with good music and decent food. Staff is very nice.
Character. Lots of character. And not to mention the characters inside.
A MUST SEE..
Could not get any service even though there were 3 people behind the bar and it was not crowded
Awesome local spot
Great place!
Great spot - love to hang here.
You get what you get...a dive bar but a great reputation. Wait staff depends on the day. Some times you get waited on sometimes not. Staff often seems too busy/distracted to wait on you. A fun place if you want rustic and some fun bands.
Same fun place I remember from my past! Great memories!
Came here to Evergreen for the first time and I am loving it! The Little Bear is the place to be for live music. And I'm getting to see Eric Tessmer for the first time! Will be coming back for sure for any future events!
This place does not serve good food. The fries were overcooked and tasted like cardboard. I told them if they could switch me so I could eat the chips. Some part of a 8 inch long chip were hard to literally crack teeth and some parts were underdone. I was recommended to this place and the only thing that was so so was the burger I ate. All the cups they served were plastic so people were drinking beer out of plastic material. I would give you a recommendation. To to the sunflower cafe instead. Even though I have never been there do that instead of wasting money on a ten dollar burger that is well done and chips or French fries that are overcooked. The service was also bad. They came around once after I got the food till the check. 5 star reviewers need to think once about the visit
visiting from out of town great place to stop. I'm sure if the walls could talk... Definitely worth a stop for a drink. Try to stop when someone is performing.
Love the bra bar
We love this place, especially when they have live music!
