I had breakfast at The Egg & I twice in July while vacationing in Steamboat Springs. I was looking for an affordable, comfortable and convenient restaurant. The Egg & I met my expectations. The menu has a good variety with a lot of choices. The restaurant is quiet, clean with a cozy atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is delicious.

Came here because many of the other breakfast places were packed. This place is much larger and can serve more people (i.e. less waiting around in lines). The food is good and they even had some healthy "farm fresh" options that I liked.

This chain restaurant had an easygoing local feel and service was excellent. All tables with children were provided a bucket of toys in addition to crayons, and the server brought a special treat, unasked, for my six year old's birthday. Food is pretty standard, but tasty and plentiful for a pretty low price.

Best damned breakfast chain and The Steamboat Springs locale represents the brand marvelously. A great location with plenty of parking and merely a few hundred feet away from the bus stop make it accessible and convenient.

They use fresh ingredients and the coffee is always good. I like how the portion sizes are large but not too large. When I am hungry I can finish breakfast without needing to feel like I am wasting food or taking a huge container to go.

The food is just poor. Everytime I have ate here I have felt sick of gotten sick. Steamboat is a small town but there are MUCH better options! Never again!!!!

From Texas to Utah & now on our way back home. This restaurant was the ONLY ONE that made was feel like our business was appreciated. The hostess was nice, upbeat & cheerful. The waitress was very nice, came back to check our needs within reasonable time. She offered some hot spots around town for us to check out before leaving the area. The food is WONDERFUL!!! Price was very reasonable. DEFINITELY a must stop & eat place. I wish I could give them 10 stars. Thank you for a memorable stop across our journey!!!

We ate here 4 times on this trip and loved it each time. The food is more upper scale but not priced like it. The dishes are creative and delicious, and the portions are generous. I had 2 different waffles, the Athena frittata, pancakes and the oatmeal, and I loved everything!

My friend and I split the Mexican skillet and french toast breakfasts. Both were huge and delicious. The fresh juice was a wonderful start. Even the syrup containers were clean and not sticky. Great place 10/10 recommend

The service is really good and this cannot be said for many Steamboat restaurants. I like the fact that you get a craft of coffee and a craft water so you do not have to wait for a server to get you a refill. WiFi is easy to connect to but not always the fastest connection.

Even though The Egg & I is a chain restaurant, this is hands down the most underrated breakfast spot in all of Steamboat. Their hollandaise sauce is the best around. Service is always nice and speedy, they also offer a free breakfast for your Birthday!

Service could use a bit more work. I'd love to see a bit more attention given to the customers and for them to check in on the meal more than as you drop it off. It's easy and cheap but it's also slightly bland and boring.

Breakfast was fine but not 4 stars or above. Potatoes chopped so small most were dry. Green chiles from a can. Pork green chile sauce was decent, your typical colorado style - thickened and brown shade.

I visit Steamboat for the second time and finally I found this breakfast place and the experience was amazing, This place offers great selection of omelettes. Food was fantastic and the place was very clean, employees was friendly super nice and professional and for this reason I was take my breakfast every morning only at this place and the most important when I will be in the area I know where I will take my breakfast.

My husband and I have years of restaurant experience, and were highly impressed with The Egg and I. Our first observance is that they were not understaffed, which has become a real problem here in Steamboat. Our server was friendly and expedient. Both of our breakfasts were great quality, and delicious! We also met the owner who specifically asked us if we were satisfied, and who was also friendly, and pitching in to be of help whenever necessary. We recommend you try this place!

Better than average breakfast place that has a great selection of morning fare. Service was excellent as was the food/atmosphere. There's a seasonal fresh menu that accompanies the regular. I enjoyed an eggs Benedict twist that featured a blend of bacon, avocado, hollandaise, and an egg set atop a corn meal cake... wonderful.

We are so glad we did the breakfast was incredible. portion sizes are the perfect amount, everyone at my table agreed the flavor and quality was outstanding. Everyone is super friendly and profesional here and all the staff speaks both spanish and english. Food is great never had any problems or complaints. Can order breakfast or lunch and they have a good selection for kids, as well as crayons and paper and they have dinosaur toys to keep the little ones happy. Great prices for the amount of food you get. Highly recommend!
