Great food
It was very good food and good service. It was pricey. Your paying a little for the location but a good choice.
Excellent food and variety. We shared several items starting with the corn soup which had great flavor and a nice little kick on the back end. The heirloom tomato and avocado salad was outstanding. For our entrée we had the Filet coupled with the spicy green beans and gruyere risotto. Steak was perfectly prepared, and the flavors of the sides did not disappoint. We finished the meal with both affogato and chocolate grenache tort for a little extra indulgence – outstanding. Food was perfect and the service was Top Notch. Michael and the entire team made the experience.
My Wife and I ate in the lounge. Food was fantastic! Scott took such great care of us.
Unique flavor! I ordered the tempura mushroom curry, Which was refreshing and still tasty. The trout and seasonal fish were prepared deliciously too. We had a mix wine-bottle was reasonably priced for the table. Tiramisu was excellently rich. I would go back... Especially in the summer when entrees are 1/2 off.
Amazing food.... not crowded. Friendly service.
If I could give a negative review I would. For such a well-known high end restaurant, I've never encountered such horrible service. Granted everywhere was extremely busy due to the larger than expected crowds for the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championship races but it's hard to overlook bad service when the restaurant plainly does not care. Our reservation was scheduled for 8:30 on Saturday evening for a party of 4. Because we were attending the free concert beforehand we were uncertain if we would make that time so called to request that we bump our res out to 8:45p. This did not seem to be a problem and was assured we'd be seated when we got there. We were able to arrive closer to the 8:30p time and were told that we would have to wait until our 8:45p reservation to be seated. We could clearly see they were slammed and happily joined the crowd at the bar to order a drink. After the first 20 minutes none of the 3 bartenders/wait staff even made eye contact or acknowledged us to ask what we'd like to drink, no offer of water, no apology that we're backed up but we will be with you as soon as possible. One of our friends went to seek out the manager to complain that we weren't even being acknowledged as we obviously had been sitting in plain view at the bar for 20 minutes. The Manager replied that our reservation wasn't until 8:45 and we would just have to wait. What?! Wait for what?! That's not even what we were asking!! We didn't care about waiting for our table! We just wanted a drink! Now at a 30 minute wait time, another friend leaned forward to the waitress behind the bar to inquire if we would be able to order a drink soon that we'd been waiting for 30 minutes. She was somewhat apologetic and said she would let the bartenders know and would get us some waters in the meantime. 10 minutes later (now 40 minutes waiting) she still did not bring us waters and the bartenders she told still would not make eye contact or acknowledge the fact we'd been waiting for an unnecessary amount of time. At this point it was after 9pm (past our revised reservation time that they assured us we'd get seated) so we left. Upon leaving the waitress that "appeared" to take pity on us looked at us apologetically and said she was sorry of which my friend replied, you're not sorry, you still couldn't even bring us the waters you promised! Clearly this restaurant did not anticipate the volume of customers they would be receiving for the race events as I've never seen such poor planning by a restaurant manager in my life. The entire restaurant was understaffed, but above and beyond all, the lack of acknowledgement was unfathomable! How can you not look up for 2 seconds from what you're doing and apologize for the wait, offer water, something! Anything! These bartenders not only were lacking in social skills, which last time I looked that's kind of a requisite working in the service industry, but they were completely inefficient at their job and unable to cope with the influx of drink orders. They spent the entire time making drinks for the wait staff and their tables instead of working on the customers right in front of them. They took way too long making the drink orders and rushed around aimlessly wasting time looking for the things they needed to make drinks. A really good professional bartender should have had drinks in front of all their customers at the bar while working on table drinks in between. I have seen two bartenders work a bar 3x the size 4 people deep with less than a 10 min wait. The lack of planning and poor social skills of the wait staff were enough for my friends and I never to step foot in this restaurant again. Perhaps their service is exceptional on an average day, but do not go when there are events in town as this quite obviously is too overwhelming for them and creates intolerably rude service!
Amazing food and service. They have excellent options for people with ceetain dietary needs like vegeterian, vegan, and gluten free.
Unfriendly service. Food so so. Atmosphere could do with a little help.
Great food, a bit pricy. I would give five stars if they had at least one more veggie option
The service was great and the food was delicious. We'll definitely be back.
The food was delicious. The drinks were great! We didn't have a reservation on a Friday night before a long weekend and we were still able to be seated. Great staff! Vanya was amazing!
Horribly rude service for such an upscale restaurant. Apparently they feel they do enough business to warrant such behavior and according to other reviews I've read the food is as lack luster as their service. We waited 30 minutes at the bar without a single acknowledgment from any of the three bartenders/wait staff. Pathetically unforgivable service and behavior by not only the bartenders but the manager too, who clearly has no business managing a restaurant. Needless to say we will not be back.
Excelent service. Knowledgeable servers. Delicious food. Would return again for sure.
Excellent menu, excellent wait staff. THANKS
Beyond all expectations! The chef (Carrie Heller) and staff were extremely welcoming, thoughtful, and gracious. The food was some of the best we've ever had. The croquettes, scallops, salmon, lamb chops--outstanding!!! Highly recommend this place. Great ambiance too!! Definitely coming back. Thank you!!
Always a great choice. The food and services are very good, solid wine list, cozy ambience. Worth spending a visit for any occasion.
Decent vail restaurant with good food. Hard to stand out with so many other great places. We went doing 4th of July and the service suffered since it was crowded . We live in Edward's so not much reason to rush back
Great food excellent service
We're only at the bar. Barkeeper was very keen. Local beer was yummy. Thanks
COD was dry and terrible. Very disappointed. Used to be good but it's slipped a lot.
Wonderful fine dining with a top shelf wine list.
Excellent service, unique delicious food choices
Great service & presentation. Overpriced.

Great service & presentation. Overpriced.
Our favorite go to restaurant in Vail. Summed up as healthy food that tastes decadent. Chris Farah went above and beyond to make sure my birthday at Terra Bistro was a night to remember. We will definitely be back during our next trip to Vail.
Excellent food and service! The beef green curry bowl is amazing.
Get the tots!!
Amazing trout
As a local, I admit that I mainly only come here during off season. But when it's time, locals know what I mean... I'm clawing at the door to get in. Undoubtedly the best restaurant, best overall menu in Vail.
Amazing Dinner, always come back on my trip to Vail, Colorafo
Amazing in a lot of ways
Excellent food!!
Nice looking spot with lots of space to stretch. Healthy and flavorful.
Great for vegan and food allergies. Wonderful service. Welcoming to kids.
Great food and service.
Delicious food (again). Excellent service
Terra Bistro has always been good. Now they have returned many old favorites to their menu and it is outstanding again. Highly recommended!
This place gave me some of the worst food i have had in my life. I mean if you think that it is good to serve burnt food to your costumers then thats bad. Terra Bistro more like terrible Bistro.
The atmosphere is very fun
Great food, fabulous service. Almost everything was Gluten free. Amazing.
Such tasty food with impeccable service.
Not what it once was.
Restaurants in hotels are usually not impressive....but this one delivered! Great food and excellent service. Highly recommend.

All around excellent experience. Solid happy hour (food deals are better than the drinks) followed by a wonderful meal. Shout out to Justin and Ilyan for making the experience extra memorable.
Innovative dishes, beautifully plated. Nina is a wonderfully warm server.
Corn lobster soup was amazing. Steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My wife had the chicken, thankfully she shared. I'll be back to have my own! What a great wine and cocktail list. We were very happy
Terra bistro is located in a hotel. It has excellent food made with fresh ingredients and produce from local growers. The Pork chop was excellent. The dessert I believe it's called ORPHATTO was so good. Make sure you get a shot of espresso poured on top. it made it one of the best desserts I've ever tasted. the ricotto bruschetta that we shared was amazing. It's a little cramped but that's the only negative make sure you book early on OpenTable for reservations.
Great food
Three of us ate one evening . All three of us thought our food was just "ok" . And too $$$$ , for just "ok" food !
Outstanding service, very relaxing cozy atmosphere, amazing food with Asian fusion and great wine selection.
Bra sted. Har bare prøvd smårettene i baren. Gutta er på. Grei mat. Til høy pris. Som det er i Vail forøvrig. Fint koselig sted. Baren har 2 rekker bak resturanten. Prøv den argentinske Malbec’ en de har. Mye bra saker i den baren. Frokosten er superb.
Great service...amazing food and menu options. Highly recommend this place for anyone lookin for a top tier dining experience in vail!
I highly recommend the pork chop!!
Delicious. The winter 2019 gnocchi is one of my top 5 favorite dishes of my life.
Excellent cuisine and service in the Vail Valley
Great delicious and creative food! Nice atmosphere.
Unbelievably Outstanding. Best kept secret in Vail. A foodie delight.
So sad.... As a resident of the Vail Valley for over 35 years, I love taking friends to my favorite places. Terra Bistro has been one such place for many years. However, a most recent experience makes me not want to return :-( Despite a reservation, we had to wait 30 minutes to get seated and jostled 20 minutes with many others in bar-area trying to get a glass of wine as we waited. Once seated, we waited another 15 minutes for the server to come by to talk to us (did get water, though). Then, we had to ask to get "bread" while waiting for entrees. Our entrees took over an hour as the kitchen "dropped the steak" and so the hostess came to ask what else we might want, instead. So after almost 1.5 hours from arrival time, we finally got our entrees (mine was vegetarian and tasted mostly of frying oil). Dessert was ordered (a birthday treat for my companion) and they did a nice job of that, even adding a candle. When the bill finally came, I was overcharged for an extra two glasses of wine that had been double-added to our bill (lucky to have checked the bill before we left). My companion had never been there before and was NOT impressed. I felt badly that his birthday dinner celebration was such a huge disappointment.
Only place in Vail that has a few vegan , organic items . Service is always excellent
Loved the food, nice Asian (Indian, Thai & Japanese) touch to the menu!
Pricy - good service, good food!!
Great service great food.
Food was great and the service was laid back and chill. Made for an amazing date night!
Boom! Happy hour apps best of Vail! Bougie but non pretentious scene. Great staff! Sourcing and flavors are phenomenal.
Excellent food and superb service. All of the dishes were perfectly prepared and very flavorful. I enjoyed the Gnocchi with Lamb Ragu - may have been the best prepared lamb I have ever enjoyed. The wine list here is extensive and can be bought by the glass on many. Highly recommended trying Terra Bistro.

I would like to rate my experience there as more than 5 stars. Service was fantastic, food was amazing. Our waitress, Katie, was wonderful. We had a delightful experience.
Nothing standout about the meal. Service was nice but food lacked anything to make you want it again.
this is the best restaurant in vail. the food is wonderfully creative without being overly fussy. the service is first rate and never condescending (like some of the competition). and the decor is upscale. we go here on every visit to vail and are never disappointed.
Great food and ambient.
Excellent food, and great service! Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My wife and I selected this restaurant because we had a friend with us who is a vegetarian. We heard they offered nice selections for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Our friend was just as impressed with the food as we were. We have been coming to Vail for years but this was our first time dining at Terra Bistro. We found a new favorite and will definitely be back again!

Service was great and the food was prepared very well
Terra is a long time valley favorite, and they continue to impress. Fantastic food and great atmosphere make this a Vail staple.
Great Everything!
Great happy hour Good food, friendly staff.
The food is great but you need to be adventurous, as you probably have not had these combos before.
The plus: Good food, good presentation, great service (our waiter was excellent!). The minus: The decor leaves a lot to be desired, especially the areas that looks like an extension to the main dining area with low ceilings. For the ambiance (or the lack thereof), I think the food is overpriced. Overall, when we visited, this establishment was very busy...most likely b/c of its high online ranking. We had picked this restaurant for the same reason. Personally, I think for comparable menu pricing and far better ambiance, there are better options in the Vail/Beaver Creek area...more particularly, the restaurants inside many of the five star rated hotels.
My wife and I came here during the off season. I had the short rib and my wife had the green curry beef noodle bowl. We were both incredibly impressed with the quality of the food and the reasonable prices of the off-season menu. The service was great from the moment we walked in. Would highly recommend this restaurant any time of the year.
Great food! Nice place
Incredible plates, and dessert, absolutely loved the food! Great, friendly staff too! Very awesome experience.
Probably the worst restaurant in Vail. The pasta tasted and smelled like vomit and the service was awful. The dessert had a hint of spice in it (like an aftertaste) that was so unpleasant I wanted to leave right then and there. It also took over 25 minutes for the check to come. I really wanted to enjoy my visit at this restaurant and tried to make it seem okay, but I couldn't find anything good about it.
Great breakfast buffet.
Cold food. The price very high to the quality of the food. The restaurant it self is clean and nice looking.
Had a wonderful experience for my wifes birthday at Terra Bistro. This was our first time to this restaurant and so far our best restaurant experience in Vail. Great Food & Great Service!!! We enjoyed a great half bottle of Pinot Noir and started with the brown butter sweet potato ravioli and sprouted bib lettuce quinoa cups. Our main course included a thinly sliced pork dish over rice noodles in a deliciously light jalapeno broth and the seared Ahi Tuna. Finished off with a banana nut cake in a rum sauce with Vanilla ice cream. Great night!
Nice bartender, attentive..
Great food, great staff. Needs an early happy hour.
