This place is awful. The restaurant itself is small, so you would think the the service would be at least some what prompt. This was not the case. I was sat at my table for 20 minutes with just a glass of water while the waitress walked back and forth, right past myself and my daughter. When I called to let the manager know of this, he became very annoyed and angry, and even went as far as to curse at me. When I realized that I was getting nowhere with this person, I hung up. He then proceeded to call me back, as well as threaten me and use vulgar language towards me. When I hung up AGAIN, he proceeded to call me once more to lash another string of obscenities and vulgar remarks towards my appearance and character. The manager is an angry person, and does not understand the concept of customer service. I will never return to this place, not only is it overpriced, but the customer service is, for lack of better words, lacking.

This is one of the best "hole in the wall" restaurants. When you walk in you will think whoa is this the restaurant? But the home feel is wonderful and the food is some of the best I have eaten! In the summer, you can sit outside and enjoy one of their scrumptious adult drinks on their patio. I don't think I have ordered anything I didn't enjoy!

Quit looking this is where you want to go! As we were leaving Greeley we decided to grab a bite. None of the restaurants we passed really grabbed our attention, so my grandmother suggested we go to Eaton as it was only a few miles down hwy 85. The place she wanted to go to wasn't open anymore so I suggested the Sugar House as we passed by. I'm so glad we did. This is one of those diamonds in the rough. I'm sure most people pass right by on the way to and from greeley. However this little restaurant in a house served amazing food starting with the salad. Honestly the presentation of the food was great. I could easily imagine this meal being served in a dark fancy and expensive restaurant but instead came from the cutest little ma and pa restaurant. Come enjoy the food, the history, and the staff. I will definitely be going back. I've already suggested it to several of my friends. This will be my first or last stop the next time I go back to Greeley.

We just at the Sugar House in Eaton with our daughter who just had a preemie baby. When the check came, there was one breakfast not on the ticket. When my husband questioned or waitress, she said the owner wanted to buy Meg's breakfast for her. So sweet. Meg cried. Love our small town. If you are ever near Eaton, please stop into this wonderful restaurant to eat. You won't be disappointed!

Nice brunch menu on the weekends. Had the special of the day, shaved ribeye over Texas toast with a creamy chorizo gravy and two eggs and home-made (grated) hash browns. Delicious! Brandy was a friendly and attentive server. The drink glasses were never empty and she was on top of the food service. Cozy, cottage dining room with a well done patio. Would stop here on my next time through Eaton.

Room was full we opted to sit outside. I think they forgot we were there. Took our drink order came back 15 minutes later refused to take our order came back 30 minutes later took our order waitress came out with fresh drinks left again came back and said our meals were bring trayed up ready to serve. People who came after us were leaving before we were served. They served all the inside guests first. It was over 1 hour till we got our meal, extra bacon and hash browns were never brought out. Asked for jelly, it came when we were all done eating. One guest got his meal when the other 5 of us were done. Food was delivered cool, but it had been 25 minutes from the time the waitress said it was being treated up until it finally was served. Waitress said they were slammed inside and the cooks couldn't keep up. I have never been a waitress but I would think she should wait on the tables in the order of when the people come in. Will probably never go back

So a bro and I stopped in mid-cycle this morn. Friendly staff, however the b-fast burrito we each ordered had chorizo instead of bacon and took about 15min to arrive at our table. By that time we had to get back to Greeley and weren't able to eat them till after the ride. It was a good burrito though.

We went in on saturday morning sat down and waited 10 mins to get drinks Finally put our order in and after 50 mins and telling us our food was being plated we were told they never put our order in. Food looked good will go back to try it when they are not so busy and we have more time

Interesting place good food. I had the best hamburger ever here. The Classic Burger. Cooked to order bun was toasted with crispy edges. Tomatoes and lettuce was fresh and deeply red and green. Had the truffle fries as a side and they were perfectly fried. Good place for a fast bite. My friend had the Country Fried Steak Sandwich and could only eat half as the portion was huge. She loved it. Nice place locally owned in a small town.

Hands down the best place to get breakfast around. The corizo gravy is terrific and a nice change of pace from the usual biscuits and gravy. Don't sleep on the dinner here either you can only get it two days a week but it is awesome also. Haven't had anything here I didn't like. Let's just keep that between you and me though we don't want it to get to crowded.

Edit: Received a full refund from Sugar House. Pretty impressed with their willingness to put in the effort to make things right. Thank you very much. Edit: Response from owner was very genuine and appreciated. Shows the owner does care even when it felt like no one at the restaurant did. Moving it to 3 stars for now. If I receive the credit the owner mentioned I'll even move it to 4 (so as not to bring down their average to much) as that's going above and beyond in my opinion to make things right. Maybe they deserve a second chance... Looks like they had a lot of employee turnover recently. Our waitress was brand new. Service was pretty terrible and she didn't know anything about the food or drinks. I got the classic burger, ordered medium rare, it came positively raw - like actually uncooked meat. I ate it anyway as I tend to like rare. That was a mistake... My coffee tasted cheap. The mimosa was really bad. Way to much champagne with almost no orange juice. Wife and kids meals were mostly mediocre to bad. My daughter got the upside down pineapple pancake. It was excellent. The shinning light of the meal. Hence the 2 stars instead of one. Also they have some great wine options too. $80 for 5 people to have a pretty bad meal. I doubt we will be back, but maybe once they get the staff back up to speed it might be worth another try.

Sugar House is a hidden gem right off of Highway 85. This quaint but somehow spacious restaurant serves a limited menu of delicious eats that you can't quite compare to anything else. There's no other restaurant around for miles which adds to the charm.

My fiancee and I just stopped in on Sunday to try the place out, it came highly recommended. The food was very good, I had pancakes and my fiancee had the chorizo omelette. Super good food and the service is quite fast. The only downside is that the seating is very limited, so if people are waiting they will stare you down.

Visited for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Nice clean table right next to big front window. Excellent service. Blueberry pancakes that my wife got were awesome....i am getting those next visit :). Had an omelette that was good. Basic menu, but has everything covered. Big outdoor seating area that will be great when it is warmer.

We ate dinner here tonight and my mouth got exactly what it was wishing for. I had the filet with red pepper sauce and Asiago potatoes, started with a wedge salad. The wedge was absolutely fresh and garnished with thick bacon pieces, blue cheese, and tomato. The filet was perfectly cooked, super-tender, and juicy. Every bite was delicious—I never got tired of eating it. My friend got the citrus pork, and I tasted it—wow! I wish I could cook like that! This tiny restaurant is huge on charm and ginormous on flavor. Do yourself a favor and find a reason to come here, or come for no reason other than you want a fantastic meal. Portion sizes are huge for normal people (I saw someone complained that they were big guys and thought they should have gotten more food. I guarantee that they were overeaters. If you are normal, you won’t have room for dessert!). Prices are excellent especially for the quality. All I have to say is with Denver’s dining scene exploding, they’d better hold on to the chef.

One of the best breakfast I've had in a while. Although the biscuit was sad small and the worst part of meal. Best hash browns I've had in a long time. Almost completely cooked and well seasoned. Asked for medium rare but got medium for steak but was still very juicy and tender. Still one of the best breakfast in a long long time. Over all great even with my criticism.

Great food. Our Dinner for steak was as good as anywhere. Excellent presentation. We have come for Breakfast & lunch too. . A treat for everyone. Friendly staff. Saturday morning we arrived around 7:45..it was empty... She welcomed us as first in the 2nd seatings... As we left at 8:30am... . they were full with a couple waiting for our table. Love having such an excellent food source here in town. Don't bother driving to FTC... It's great right here!

We were driving through Eaton in the mood for a good burger. Hit the jackpot and found huge, great tasting burgers here! They were cooked to order and delivered to our table on a fresh bun that appeared home made. Fries were fresh hot and delicious too! Even though we walked in just 15 minutes before closing, we were greeted by a friendly server and promptly seated. Great service. My wife and I will definitely be back and we are looking forward to trying their breakfast menu. Small place but big burgers!
