Food and drinks were great! Omar greeted us right away and was awesome the second we stepped in! However, the bartender that walked in around 4pm this evening needs a serious attitude check. We understood that the restaurant was very busy, but he was rude to everyone that was near him including guests. Thanks Omar for the great hospitality!!
Delish, Mex food two thumbs and a toe!
Staff was super nice. The food was ok, but not more.
Super friendly service, great tasty food.

The worst Mexican food I've ever had. You can tell a lot from the salsa when you go to a new mexican restaurant and theirs really sucks. Carne asada? Try fried fat luke warm. This place will lower your morale.
Good food at a great price given the location in Aspen
Do Not like it.

Great Queso and service!!!!
Cheep beer
Boa comida. Puxada ao estilo mexicano.
Very rude. Almost as if he was discriminating against us since we walked in. We asked about something on the menu and we were treated like we are dumb! Worst service when you’re traveling you expect someone to be welcoming and give good service. He couldn’t tell us what beer he had on tap because her had a “wait” Totally ruined our experience and all we wanted to do was get a bite to eat and a drink! He went out of his way to tell other customers about us as well as workers because we asked about something on the menu! Maybe get a bartender that can handle the pressure so he doesn’t treat people bad!!!! Will never come here again!
This place is kinda hidden put when you find it and go in its so nice inside very clean and friendly. The food is to die for. Excellent tast if you love Mexican food you will not regret it. I will be going back and I'm going to tell my family and friends that's for sure.
Such a bad experience! I used to love this place and was excited to take our friends there...never again! The hostess “Molly” was SO SO RUDE! I asked the bartender if I could speak to a manager and he directed me back to her. Not a good vibe there at all!
Fajitas were perfect. Served hot with fresh ingredients. Staff was outstanding. This is hidden treasure.
The food was delicious but the service was to be desired.
Don't of the best Mexican food I've ever had!
The soul of Cantina lives on! When I go to a Mexican restaurant I want cheap, heaping plates of refried beans and brown rice. I want to sit in a dingy basement and eat until the steps outside look like an insurmountable obstacle. If I wanted another hipster paradise where waiters roll their eyes as tattooed yuppies asked for the gluten-free or vegan options... Well I’d eat at Mi Chola.
They tried pouring water into our cups and tomato and lettuce came out instead. I’m not even joking. I’m serious. The only joke is this place. p.s the food was bland and bad too
Popular choice for reliably good Mexican food. Cozy little bar.
Horrible service, wanted separate bills and they couldn't do that, they disrispected all of my friends and I and made us wait a long time! Horrible service!!!
Delish, Mex food two thumbs and a toe!
Meat was bland, hard tacos were wet, cheese was frozen and pre shredded...
Great quick Mexican spot in Aspen. Taste even better after a Ute hike
Cheap for aspen and the only place with tacos
It's ok.
Great taste!
Excellent Food specially steak. Ambiance is very nice. We also tried veggies options, they are also great. So vegetarian people can also enjoy here.
Great customer service!!! Delicious Food!!! My family and I visit this restaurant our 1st night in Aspen after trying to decide where to eat. Glad we chose this place! Great experience!
Delicious variety of Mexican dishes with consistently friendly service and quality drinks. I especially like ALL the burritos, the chimichanga and menudo. Margaritas are also excellent and available with a variety of tequilas at all the appropriate pricepoints. Can't wait to go back!
Yummy food and good service. Love the outside patio!
The only thing Mexican here is the Coke! Everything else is canned food!
Excellent taco bar. Great margaritas. Ala Carte options for Mexican classics. Enchiladas, Salads and moles.
Really great food ruined by really poor service at the bar from Ryan. He spent most of our visit socializing and never really paid us much attention until we started to fill out a comment card. Another server noticed that we weren't being taken care of and took both our drink order and food order yet we were sitting at the bar and it was half empty. Really disappointing as the food was really great!
Nice place to grab a bit to eat.
Su casa Mexican restaurant in Aspen is about taco Bell quality and is way over priced!!! Almost 20$ for two bean and rice burritos that about 4inches long and about 2inches thick. So I'm eating chips and salsa with a cup of chlorine flavored water. Also with such high prices and small portions why hasn't the restaurant been updated of at least maintained.... Definitely people don't wash their hands because the soap dispenser is broken and has been for a few weeks.... Hmmm
Excellent
There was nothing great about this place. The rice had a weird flavor and the sauce on the food is very bland. Prices are affordable and the service was okay.

DO NOT COME HERE. Terrible service. Hair in food with nothing comped to better the situation. Our guacamole tasted a bit sour. My date waited over 45 minutes for her food. I finished my food before we finally asked for the check. Our server kept changing and our original server didn't seem to care for serving us because we'd attempt to call out to her but she ignored us to serve others who seemed "better off." She even got our order wrong since she walked off as I was talking to her. Taste was mediocre which was disappointing because of the price
Bad service but good food. The place was dead, one other group other than us and it took forever to get our food and our waiter only came back twice, no drink refills or anything. Would come back only for convenience.
For a late night bite, it's not a bad place to eat at. Just make sure you tell them to split checks before you all eat

Excellent food, reasonably priced and a pleasant environment!
The service was good, the location was clean and enjoyable, but the food was awful. The salsa tasted like ketchup, the Fajita was mainly seasoned with cilantro, and the rice tasted like unsalted riceroni. My wife thought the chimmy was edible but not good. She "tried to eat enough so that she wouldn't be socially obligated to take a box home".
Great Mexican food, great service and great atmosphere.
Great food our server was handsome and spoke perfect Spanish, great dining experience, and very extensive wine list
Yummy food and good service. Love the outside patio!
Salsa that comes with chips was excellent. Seated quickly and our server was delightful. Food was delicious (recommend any of the tacos) as well as authentic. Would recommend to anyone looking for a solid Mexican dinner.
Above average tex-mex food, in my opinion. And the margs are probably the best in town.
Basic Mexican
Decent table-serve Mexican food in a semi-subterranean courtyard. You could also eat indoors inside the restaurant itself. Eric's bar (same owner) is right across the courtyard if you want more of a drink selection with your Su Casa meal.
That horrible moment when you realize that you chose the wrong Mexican restaurant to eat at when the waiter can't tell the difference between a lemon or a lemon for your water and in return brings you oranges on the third to try, so you ask for Horcharta and their response is, "we have to make it in the back" & the drink isn't even good.. BOO!
Terrible service, food, and playlist! This is coming from an authentic Mexican. The waitress spilled drinks and forgot orders. Food is overpriced and not spicy. Tortilla chip game weak. Patio is nice and decor is also nice
Two stars for a pretty restaurant and okay service. My husband and I ordered enchiladas yesterday which lacked any flavor whatsoever while also being bone dry. The salsa tasted like pizza sauce, like it had oregano in it or something. They automatically tacked on a 20 percent gratuity. The service was fine, but nothing warranting more than 15percent the charge for this lackluster meal.
Food was bland. Only one beer on tap.
Good food and not too expensive
Good - They accomodated us 20 mins before closure. Service was quick. Guacamole was okay. Bad - The salsa was sour, Vegetarian 'meat' taco was very average (refried beans were salty) and the modern mojito was not that great either. Overall, I felt that the food quality was not just up to the mark!
Cozy, great service, excellent food, all at reasonable $
Very respectful employees our waitress was awesome and the enchiladas are very delicious
Good fajitas. Tell them you don't want spinach in it though.
I enjoyed my meal at Su Casa. I wasn't in the mood for the Aspen fine dining experience, so figured that Su Casa might work out. It ended up being exactly what I was looking for, family friendly and unpretentious. I sat at the bar and enjoyed a nice conversation with the bartender, who told me the same family has been running Su Casa for 20 years and that many of the employees had been working there for years as well. I ordered chicken fajitas, which we really tasty, and a shrimp appetizer that was a little pungent. I'm OK with heat, but I could have used just a little sweetness in the rub that was on the shrimp. I also had the chips and salsa. The salsa by itself is a good reason to visit Su Casa on my next trip to Aspen. Following dinner, I had a nice cigar in the Cigar Bar attached to Su Casa, and then upon the recommendation of the bartender ventured across the street to hear one of Aspen's favorite bands. The band was OK, but I ended up in a great conversation with a musician attending the festival, and we exchanged stories of what it's like starting out as a freelancer and what it's like to be an old timer. My experience at Su Casa was a great prelude to a lovely and memorable evening.
The food and atmosphere was awesome, great staff, and generous portions. Decent prices for aspen as well!
No one at my table was satisfied with their food, their water had pieces of salad in it and they served me cheese after I specified that I was vegan. The food was pretty mediocre especially for the price, seriously you’re way better off going to chipotle.
Nice food and atmosphere
We wanted to get dinner at Christmas day, they were only serving 2 tables and they refused give us service because we didn't have reservations, that really sucks, now i understand why it's always empty, don't even think they really have 3.5 stars, that's because the employees give 5, otherwise will only had about 1.5
THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN ASPEN
Just finished the lunch. Awesome food, great service, nice ambience, no delay and reasonable pricing. Just about everything of this place is awesome. Strongly recommended.
Good and affordable for Aspen.
My brother and I we got stomach infection because of the food of this restaurant. As soo we arrived to Aspen we went to this restaurant for dinner and we ordered a carne asada, the meat consistency was little weird but we tought that was normal, next day we were sick all day.
Cozy, great service, excellent food, all at reasonable $
los visitamos con mifamila y la comida esta riquísima y me sentí muy feliz al ver las culturas juntas disfrutando todos son amables . ATTE familia Villalobos Bendiciones
Pretty good Mexican for Colorado. As a visitor from Texas where Tex-Mex rules, it pretty good. Had the fish tacos.
Bad smell as soon as we entered the place, restrooms needed cleaning. Food served there is not Mexican.
The food was very tasty, nice place and good music. Ideal to share with your friends and family
Excellent food. Good service. Super cute bathroom.
As seen on Drinking Made Easy! Get the Margarita!
Food is awesome!
Third time was NOT a charm! We come to Aspen every year and the past 2 years we have tried eating at Su Casa, besides bland food the service is beyond terrible. They are consistently rude, including management. The place was not busy, there were two servers setting silverware on empty tables and yet it took us 12 minutes to get water, and order margaritas. Which were mediocre and nothing to get excited about. The place was empty and yet somehow they still couldn't get it together. We were actually jealous of the thirty some people they turned away at the door because they were so "busy." We were one of 2 tables in the whole place and the other table was done and were already paying their bill. The whole thing was bizarre but because of the smart mouthed staff, rude management, and horrible overall service and experience, we will never ruin another Aspen vacation by coming to this restaurant.
Such good food and service, overall really enjoyed the experience. Was more pricey but that’s aspen for you
Great Mexican food.... a tad pricey but so goes everything in Aspen
Delicious and great margaritas.
Nice Marg Ryan!!! Always yummy
Used to be a decent cheap eats place but the prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. Do not recommend.
Great server with lots of personality along with great food!
Great little escape from the cold, good Margs and sangrias. The fajitas we're missing cheese and beans but good.
Food drinks great, Spanish speaking waiter completed the ambience!
Great margaritas, good salsa. Very accommodating of our dog on the patio.
Being a Houston native this is as close to Mexican cuisine as I've found in Aspen. I recommend the tacos al pastor with a good beer. Staff was great and very friendly. More than reasonable prices and very clean.
Fresh, delicious Mexican food in Aspen. Family friendly.
Best location downtown. Good atmosphere and great food. Friendly staff and good menu selections. Good indoor and outdoor seating. Best Mexican restaurant in Aspen!
We stopped in last week & got lunch right before the cut-off time. The waitress was very accommodating. Chips & salsa were very fresh; the salsa had a good amount of cilantro & was not watery. We ordered steak fajitas with flour tortillas, chicken fajitas with corn tortillas, & vegetarian enchiladas with rice. The corn tortillas were fresh & did not crumble when folded. The fajitas had a perfect balance of meat with peppers & onions. The horchata was a bit watery & had too little cinnamon, which was the only minor disappointment. I rarely come to Aspen, but I am glad that we found this place that day! It was great to have options for the gluten-free vegetarian in my party.
Great little place. Great complimentart salsa and corn chips. Fajitas were in large portions and very very tasty. Definitely try them.
Great service and friendly staff.. Nothing compared like the restaurant down the street "mi chola" we had to walk out that day.(bad service and attitude). Good thing we foud this one.. Loved it. Plus the have a Vegetarian plate
Get food and Mexican drinks
One of the better, and more authentic, food options in town. Nothing fancy about it but a solid meal.
Such good food and service, overall really enjoyed the experience. Was more pricey but that’s aspen for you
Good and location and food was fine for the price but nothing special
Great Mexican food for $$. Quick service.
Great Mexican food.... a tad pricey but so goes everything in Aspen
I had the lunch carnitas taco and refried beans sope... Yummy.
Kind of an overrated place. The price point isn't justified by the quality of food or their flavors or their service. But we were kinda late in night and everything else around was getting closed so had to come here. Probably won't be back here.
Muy rica la comida y el ambiente ! Hacen comida muy estilo mexicana y es muy grato encontrar personal tan amable !
Food was amazing!
Definitely hit up the taco menu
Dinner was good: chicken fajitas were absolutely sizzling and the Jicama salad was tasty. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly wait staff.
Food is ok, drinks are great!
Try the bacon wrapped
The best Mexican food in town
The staff was great, the food came out at a good temperature. The dishes we had were very Americanized. The guacamole was blended (and I prefer it more chunky-that's a personal preference). The bacon wrapped shrimp was pretty salty tasting (but again, it's bacon wrapped shrimp)! I would go back because the service was great, and the food was hot. It was fairly expensive, but I think that is probably because rent isn't cheap in Aspen. If you are looking for that standard, Mexican-American food, this place is for you. The bar area also seemed very popular, however I didn't have any adult beverages. Looks like a fun place to come to after the mountain maybe for Apres.
Nice
Great lunch spot in Aspen! Quick and friendly service! Amazing food!
Way overpriced for the quality. Im pretty sure the 10$ "Queso" was Kroger Brand cheese melted into a pan. Flavorless and inedible. The waiter was great and the only reason I'm giving any stars.
Chips, salsa, guacamole, house margaritas were all super good. I had the taco plate (pick two meats) and they were delicious. Rice and beans were luke warm even though the waiter insisted the plate was smoking hot. Others in my party had the stuffed chile peppers. There was not much left on anyones plate!
Who puts zucchini in a burrito?
Delicious!
Great food and friendly service
Nice non-pretentious Mexican place. Fajitas and burritos are great! Reasonable prices too.
Staff is friendly
Food and service was excellent. Very enjoyable little outdoor patio in a small cozy place. Definitely worth checking out!
