Have dined here several times and it has always been a great experience. Once asked the chef to prepare small portions of all he recommended on the menu. Was expensive but totally worth it and appreciated by the chef. Dessert for that dinner were complimentary. Will always go back.

My wife and I had an incredible dinner at Splendido. We started with the octopus appetizer, which was great. Lot of flavor and cooked perfectly. Both of our dinners were very good. She had the chicken and loved it. I had the rack of lamb and it was one of the best I’ve ever had, cooked perfectly. Very pleased with all the food. Martinis were made well too. Nothing but great things to say about Splendido’s food. It’s not the cheapest dinner around but I think it’s worth it.

The environment of Splendido's was perfect for adults wanting adult time, however the food was average, definitely over priced for the quality of the meal. The steak was below mediocre, very bland. The salmon was alright, and the wine was also alright. For the price our party paid for the meal I would prefer if it was better than alright. I would recommend eating at the Ritz Carlton's restaurant in Bachelor Gulch, the food is exquisite and has a price that matches the quality. Will not be dining at Splendido in the future.

Easily my favorite restaurant in not only the Vail Valley, not just of mountain restaurants, but truly in all of Colorado. This is the place to take your family, important client, or have a special meal with a loved one. The chef is a genius and consistently comes up with surprises in preparation, texture, and ingredients, while also delivering on the classic preparations. Just having whiskey in the bar you might meet local celebrity or visiting foreign dignitaries. Viva Splendido.

Food was delicious. If you're staying in the Vail area, this is the place to go. While the food was expensive, it was worth the price. Everything we ate from appetizer, entree and dessert was delicious. Cannot stress enough how good the food was. If you go, the lemon dessert or tiramisu is what to order, even if you don't, all the desserts are delectable. It doesn't matter what entree you order because they are all great. Definitely a place I would recommend if you are looking for good food in a classy atmosphere.

Splendido is a notch above the rest! If you're in the state of Colorado and looking for a fine-dining experience, this place is worth the trip. The Chateau, where it's located, is a cute on-the-mountain ski residence club. The food is responsibly sourced and delicious! The dover sole is their classic dish, and is not to be missed. We've tried the baby octopus, venison carpaccio, tuna tartar, and crab starters, all great. The monkfish entree is a unique take on surf-and-turf and is worth ordering!

Top notch. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return. One of the better fine dining experiences I have enjoyed in the mountains. Our server was very knowledgeable and the food was delicious. The dishes were beautiful and well thought out. We ordered the sole which they deboned tableside and sauced. I had the seafood tower, great portions and fresh seafood. Beautiful dining area. Extensive wine list. Open kitchen. Yum!

Make sure your wallet is packed because Splendido is not cheap. But it's 100% worth it. This is the ONLY place I would buy oysters. They are extremely fresh and have the most flavor. I bought the Elk and it was out of this world. I highly recommend this place for your final meal during your trip to Beaver Creek.

The food was flavorful but the staff seemed woefully unprepared for a holiday evening crowd. Being a food tour guide in Vail and a “foodie”, this is my favorite restaurant in the Vail Valley! The green garlic soup appetizer is outstanding. They grow their own vegetables locally in the summer - a true farm to table restaurant. Their desserts are beautiful works of art. If you don’t want an entire fancy dinner, just go for drinks and dessert and sing along to the piano player at the bar!!! Highly recommended. A 5 star fine dining experience.

One of the best meals we’ve had in a long time, anywhere. Beautiful restaurant, thoughtfully laid out and lit perfectly. Our waiter, also a sommelier, was friendly and upbeat and very knowledgeable about the menu and, naturally, the wine selection. My husband had the burrata appetizer and the lamb chops (from the specials menu) for his main. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly and very delicious. I had the beet/citrus starter; heavy on the citrus but, I love that so I was very happy. My main was also from the specials: monkfish prepared with a light buttery sauce and root vegetables. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I would have given it 5 stars if the service was better. The food was delicious! Drinks were good too. I had the rack of lamb and my fiancé had the tenderloin -both were great. We started out with homemade cavatelli pasta which was delish! The chef came out to greet the tables and you can tell he loves to use mushrooms in his dishes. They were in every dish we enjoyed. Our waiter disappeared after taking our order. During our meal he shouted while walking by if we wanted another drink. We were so taken aback by this that we simply said no. We did not see our waiter again. In fact we were presented the bill by another person. I asked if this person was now our waiter and he said no -he was just helping out. We're from Chicago, so I guess we are accustom to a different level of impeccable service.
