Summary: Average food and prices. Happy hour food is a joke. Happy hour cocktails are great. Do not come here if you want beer. The menu is very appetizing yet, Details: The ambiance is trendy. Not conducive to socializing but, good for talking amongst friends. Friendly and knowledgable staff. I had the Mac N Cheese= same as anywhere else Brazilian soup= coconut milk and peanut butter with a tiny amount of spice. No other flavors detected. Ramen= plentiful but boring The rest of my group enjoyed the cocktails but were unimpressed with the food. We will probably be back after dinner time for cocktails only. Film night is appealing.

I went to this place a couple days ago and I have to say I loved it! The atmosphere is amazing, the food even better. I had the cubano sandwich which was delicious and the shrimp soup that I'm going back for cause it was that amazing!

Gonzalo Mendoza

This place has indoor and outdoor seating both of which are phenomenal. The staff is very friendly and always checking to make sure you have everything you need with a genuine smile. The food and the drinks were equally as impressive. One of my favorite places to go every time I'm in town.

Audrey Bronson

Decided to stop in as it was close to our hotel. Oh my, put it on your list. Food was fantastic, we had the sampler and coconut curry soup was to die for. Great drinks on top of that, and excellent service, it is A+

Jeannette Velazquez

Good food. Just a hip little place thay I would go to again.

Kyle Warf

A unique place in the dining landscape of Colorado Springs. Great beer selection, killer cocktails, and really good food done in a quirky and fun way. This is a go-to spot for me.

Russell Torrez

Good place good people maybe one a****** but other than that that's great is Ben 20 years since I've been in establishment I like it.

Joanna Durafourt

The staff was amazing. Waitress very knowledgeable in the food. Went there for a special occasion and the entire staff worked to make it very memorable and special.

Sarah Kuhns

Ordering to go was difficult because we couldn't find an updated menu . We called and ordered over there phone and the young man said we were looking at the wrong menu, so we looked again and called back, but he said that was still the wrong menu. So we just had to go down there. We love this quaint little restaurant and bar, especially for late night and the food is very good. The website organization just needs work.

Michael Calma

After some disappointing restaurants in Colorado springs I was very delighted to find a tasty local gem. It's a very nice local meeting place so it was a bit loud and definitely dim environment. Its didn't bother me much as I was there for some grinds. I had the shrimp soup and I was happy pleased. I will definitely be back while I'm visiting to try the ramen.

Rox Massey

Amazing food and service like always!

Lyra Bree Hewitt

The sandwich's are very good here. As are the drinks. If you mix the lavender one and the regular one together...they're prefect. The only reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is b/c we always get the food to go since we are always coming the park after my 3 year old is worn out. And there's nothing in the box but the sandwich, no veggie slices or chips, garish of any kind, and the sandwich is never cut evenly or even close. The sandwich is so good however it still gets 4 stars.

Maya Nelson

Very good food. The place has a great young millennial vibe to it. The waiters are very kind and patient.

Teresa Francis

Consistantly good. Wish Colorado Springs had more joints like Shuga's.

Kristina Heyes

Best place to eat and chill in Colorado Springs! The staff was extremely attentive, we went for an early dinner so they were a bit slower and every staff member checked on us throughout our dinner. Amazing service and even better food, I wish we could take this to our hometown!

klanmatic games

Best dojo sandwich ever and comes with good soup

Alys Hammer

Consider this a she diner. It has delicious and beautiful food. And the lemonade is perfectly handmade. The decor is intriguing and beautiful. Staff are very friendly with a touch of family.

Julie Coulter

Porchetta sandwich and lavender lemonade! Just sad the BLT is gone!!! It was the best!

Nori Rost

Shuga's hasthe best spicy Brazilian shrimp soup. Their entire menu is eclectic and delicious. Great ambience.

Trudy Hinton

No space! We were literally an inch from the table next to us and maybe half a foot away from the table in the other side. Service is s-l-o-w and the girl who "greeted" us was quite rude!

Shayna Elisabeth

Everyone is so friendly here and their drinks are delish!

Whit Breeden

For anyone not familiar with Shuga's or are visiting the Colorado Springs area in search of the cocktail/nightlife scene here, this is the epitome of the local hangout and without a doubt one of the top 2 or 3 places in town for a drink. Everyone, from the owner Kurt (whose work you will see adorning the ceiling above you), to Todd, Lisa, and Lauren at the bar, are all amazing people first and truly masters at their craft second. This is a place you do not want to miss while you are in town.

Kayla Fujinaka

Sat outside after a long hike and enjoyed delicious sandwiches. The staff were excellent and made sure we were happy with our selections. The drinks were absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be back!

Joseph LaCombe

Five star food. Five star service. Five star wine. I can't beleive I live 300 yards from this place and had never gone in! Went in for some award winning soup and some bruschetta today and was beyond pleased. Thank you for running a great restaurant. Coziest and friendliest in town by far!!!

Jenny Quinn

We brought a whole bachelorette party (15 women) and they were amazing. Quick friendly service. And when it started raining, they moved us inside without us even asking. Not a single mix up on orders, even when we all switched seats moving inside. The food and drinks are always amazing, but this visit was exceptional

Erin Smith

Ravenously hungry after a day of hiking, my fiancé and I considered many restaurants and finally settled on Shuga’s. I found myself wishing they would just move the whole restaurant, wait staff included, across the country to Ohio where we are from. Everything was so delicious! We were gluttonous and ordered a lot. Very reasonable prices for the amount and quality of the food. The Brazilian coconut shrimp soup was amaaaaaazing, and I’m not usually one to order soup. Now I have to go home and figure out how to make it myself half as good. The jalapeño bacon mac n cheese was delicious. We also enjoyed the bruschetta and our coconut ginger and blueberry basil fizzes. We will be back!

Vadim Smotrov

Great place great service awesome food!

Blake Beyers

I here one time and the food was decent. I've been back three times since - not necessarily by choice. I have to say my taste buds don't really enjoy the mediocre, trendy Mediterranean style food that's trying to be created here. they do provide a nice atmosphere if you like man buns and rave music, but at the end of the day their food simply does not suit my palate.

Jason Serby

So good. Bring my wife on dates here all the time.

Jess Treanton

Shuga's does not disappoint. I hadn't been there in a few years, and is has stayed true to form. The meals and drinks are tasty, trendy, and beautifully presented. I would definitely recommend Shugas for everything from meals to drinks and tapas. The patio is highly enjoyable during the summer, and the staff is great! Thanks for the amazing meal ^•^

bryan perryman

Great place service food and staff as well as atmosphere. I worked here about a year ago and it was nice to see familiar faces as well as some new menu items. I actually may return by myself for lunch this week.

kori oth

Food is always stunning, great atmosphere, amazing staff. 10/10- might be the best hidden gem downtown!

Mardi Davenport

We are visiting from Phoenix, AZ and were looking for a restaurant that was unique to Colorado. Shuga’s fit the bill! Our waiter, Sam, did an amazing job. He was very chill while also providing excellent and efficient service. The food was delicious and the ambience was unique. We will be back the next time we visit Colorado Springs!

Jennifer V-C

THE hipest restaurant in Colorado Springs, on the top of my list! Great place for lunch with the girls, but much to offer to the guys as well. The cafe tray is the way to go because you get a little bit of everything and it is all good, especially the Brazilian Coconut Shrimp soup.

SU KI

Beautiful fun indy place with excellent food and fun cocktails :)

Adrianna Shields

We love it here! The atmosphere the food the drinks everything is on point! The staff is usually pretty friendly as well and attentive. We also get to go and it is just as good!! They change the menu often which is fun. Not the usual downtown spot but laid back and fresh culinary treats if you have never been!

Brian Walters

The ramen bowl is absolutely amazing! Cool atmosphere too.

Benjamin Slinde

Great place to eat. We have been in Denver for the past four days and with one exception the food has been mediocre at best. Today we drove to Colorado springs and had lunch at Shuga's and the food was great. We started with a cafe tray that had a soup to sample, some bruschetta, pita bread with goat cheese, olives, a salad, and slice of cake, this could have been a great sampler meal for one, for us it was a great sampler app. We loved every bite. I got the porchetta sandwich and loved it, along with the coconut shrimp soup, it was also great. My family tried the phellini and Quebec sandwiches as well, and they thought the sandwiches were amazing. Loved it, would recommend Shuga's to everyone.

Kinan Hernandez

The vibes here are phenomenal. Perfect lighting, good background music, cozy interior design and delicious food. You can tell the owners and staff take pride in the place.

Jin Kang

Probably one of my favorite places for a drink! Odd menu for food, but it’s all great food. Okay prices, a little high, but the quality is good!

Marley Carrington-Maurer

Stopped in from a drive from Sante Fe to Denver and was floored by 1. How accommodating and friendly the staff was 2. How delicious the food was 3. A Sunday happy hour! 4. A wide variety of drinks that don’t include alcohol (cause sometimes you just need something carbonated). A lot of variety on the menu and a great place for either a quick pit stop or a night to eat/drink away. If we lived in Colorado Springs this would def become a top spot for us.

Liona .

Chill atmosphere. Nice range of food that tastes amazing. Don't live in the springs and would still drive all the way out to come here. Staff is nice and attentive.

Jasmine Mai

Shugas is one of my favorite restaurants in town! Everything is local and it is so original! Staff is nice, and very vintage. My favorites from the menu are the Quebec and the chicken artichoke soup!

DAN K

Excellent service... Good food... and vast creative drink menu.

Tom Kuthy

I have been coming here for the last 7 to eight years and I cannot say enough good things about it! The Brazilian shrimp soup is outstanding, especially paired with the bruschetta. Service is always prompt, friendly and unpretentious. The atmosphere is is reminiscent of a cool college neighborhood bistro and the prices are reasonable. I especially like sitting on the front porch in the shade of the big tree, on weekend for a long lunch. Try Shugas, you will not be disappointed.

Alicia Catlisle

Its was amazing the servers were great and enjoyed the company I had with me on the patio. Great relaxing chill environment.

Craig Malott

This is a spot I hope to return to and provide that fifth star. I had a prosciutto, brie, and apple sandwich and a cup of spicy Brazilian coconut shrimp soup. The soup was by far the standout. Sandwich was fine, but all of the meat was balling in the middle of the bread and I thought there could have been slightly more for the price. It was good, but while the sandwich was three stars the soup was certainly a five. I'll definitely return and get a bowl of soup instead of a cup. It was very busy for a weekday so expect the noise level to be a bit high during peak times. Overall I'll return soon and see what else can spike my interest hoping to raise this review to a five on my second attempt.

Michelle Lynn

Great lunch selections and atmosphere. Their soups are always a home run in my opinion. Nice local business with remarkable food!

Michelle Bailey

Origami birds, very relaxed setting. Super sweet.

Ted Limmel

Was disappointed, had the humus and they forgot the humus and piled high the arugula... I like arugula, but no one can eat that much. The metal straw can be recycled, the feeling of a metal straw is very unpleasant. Paper straws are fine.

Brandon Poulliot

Wow. Came here for lunch with a friend who who has been wanting to go for ages. Got the Quebec and the beet dip. Wonderful flavor combos, plus the beet dip was novel and outstanding (and bright pink). It'll probably be packed when you get there, but it's worth a wait.

David Anderson

Great experience at a local place in Downtown Springs. I had the Cuban a Sandwich and a bowl of the Spicy Brazilian Shrimp soup. The soup was outstanding.

Thomas Dado

Charming little spot with a unique and remarkable atmosphere. Drinks are outstanding and similar to the establishment and it's staff are genuine and fantastic. The food is just as excellent. This place is an easy favorite.

Alima Gibson

I love this place! It was one of the first places I went to when I moved to the Springs. It’s an incredibly cozy spot, the drinks are tasty, and the food is really good. The Brazilian coconut soup in a personal favorite!

Kriv

My favorite place to go with friends! The spicy shrimp soup is out of this world, and the lavender lemonade is such a nice drink. Wait staff is always helpful and very pleasant.

Cara Guadagnoli

The food here always exceeds my expectations! Fabulous place. One of my all time favorites!

W Dale C

Start with their spicy shrimp soup. That alone is worth the price! Do not expect your "average" drinks here either! The water is in a bottle on your table, NOT in your drink! Try the pineapple shipwreck. The food: simply excellent! Full of flavor and well prepared.

Valentina Acosta

Great place to get some late night food! Decent prices and awesome atmosphere. Our server was excellent. I wasn’t too keen on the menu and taste, it was definitely different. I really enjoyed the almond butter dessert though, so good!

Inglebert Dickens

Since I LOVE espresso, I tried from what i remember the cortato a shot of espresso with frothed milk on top and a sprinkle of sugar- splendid! I also enjoyed a blueberry basil spritzer. Delish! I then enjoyed a Croque Madame- an open faced sandwich with ham i believe Swiss cheese, grainy mustard topped with a fried egg. I was sold at fried egg. The flavors blended so well together and what I loved most was the bite I got with the mustard and the runny fried egg.

Sandra Ortiz

Regret Regret. Disappointment. Visiting my son for Labor Day weekend and saw all the great reviews and decided to give it a try. The Menu looked great and very interesting. We were kinda happy the restaurant was not at all that busy. Well sadly arrived at 2:45 - we ordered our food by 3:10I think they forgot about us. Was not checked on again. No cold water which was tap water. We waited and waited - my husband fell asleep. I ordered an Appetizer which was one Bruschetta arrived -at the table 3:50. I made a comment to the waiter about being hungry and she replied with me too. Then came back with one plate one and we are a party of 5. The other 4 saw while my son ate. The rest of the food arrived by 4:00. Very disappointed. My husbands plate was cold and my cup of Spicy Shrimp soup only had one shrimp for $4 and my husbands bowl had 3 Shrimp for $9. I don’t understand for being a sandwich place why did it take soooo long. The food was mediocre and the menu was deceitful- Why charge premium. I rather eat at Jason’s Deli and pay their prices at least service and quality is what you expect. Avoid this place. Quality is low and very expensive. If you’re hungry try somewhere else. You’ll wait for your food FOREVER! Again food was mediocre.

Creed Hansen

By far one of the most unique places I've had the pleasure to eat at. The staff is genuine. The quality of the food is obvious, and each flavor comes out distinct while working well with the other flavors. This is the first time I've had blue cheese on something and it wasn't overpowering. The cocktails are very unique mixes, and delicious. The atmosphere is comfortable, yet I would not say it is casual.

Kyvory Henderson

Stopped here randomly on a cross country road trip. This is such a tasty place with a great atmosphere!

Patricia Johnson

Tonight was my first time dining at Shuga's. I did not know what to expect. The service was good. Prompt greeting, and drinks were brought out quickly. They have a small menu option, however, the food is fantastic! I definitely would like to go back. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is for me the music was too loud. It made it difficult to have a conversation. Otherwise, great place!

Emily Prather

I love Shugas lunch tray; it's a delicious sampling!

Caroline Li

Great service and a unique menu. Make sure to get stuff to share!

C. Alex Mateos

Awesome place!! Food was amazing, wait staff was polite, prompt and attentive. I got the breakfast special and the soup of the day and both were par excellence. My lady got the don't forget to be healthy salad and that was delicious as well. She recommends the blueberry basil spritzer, it was super good!

Khara Fullard

The ramen was amazing. Atmosphere is great. Employees are wonderful! 10/10 will go again!

Keith Gates

Great everything with an at home feeling. Bangin!!

Brian Kwan

My wife and I along with 4 friends came on a Saturday night recently and it was packed! It was none of our first times, so we knew the deal. Loud space with loud music, conversations going on right next to you, and can feel pretty cramped. But it’s the perfect place for when that’s what you’re looking for. My wife got the lychee cocktail which she really enjoyed and I got one that was alright. Still love this place

Tj Germain

The best brunch/lunch/dinner in the city. Easily.

Jamie Cardona

Went to Shuga’s for the very first time today because my friend and I wanted to try something new and Shuga’s had decent ratings. The menu didn’t have a huge selection. We started off with a beer and ordered two sandwiches. I finished my beer and waited an additional 10 minutes. Wait time in total was about 25 minutes.... for two sandwiches. I got the turkey bacon sandwich. It was okay. My biggest complaint about the food is how hard the bread was. 10/10 would not recommend. Drinks looked good from what I saw but I just wanted to leave.

Hai Guan

Really awesome spot for lunch. Quality of food was top notch. We had the cafe tray and the roast beef sandwich. The roast beef sandwich was among some of the best I’ve ever had with a good balanced of delicate and bold flavor. The cafe tray was a great way to taste many variety of items offered in the menu. Highly recommend this cafe.

Amy Meeks

The cuisine is amazing with inventive ingredients and pairings with other foods I've never tried before. The atmosphere is fun, cozy, and eclectic. It's the perfect place for a quick and delicious lunch.

Joey Desiderio

It's okay for young people but not for oldies. It takes longer to get our order served. Food is okay. Good place for younger generation and middle age

Erica Jayne Johnson

How can you not love this place?! I love their cocktails and they fill me up with healthy goodness. The beetdown To drink and spicy coconut shrimp soup are my go to. Everything here is amazing.

Wendy Highfill

What a great little restaurant. They have some yummy beers, and some really amazing mixology going on with their mixed drinks (alcoholic and non). I had the tray, which gave me a good amount of food for a lunch (this was a metal cafeteria like tray that held all kinds of food treasures, like a Bento Box!). My sister had the Panchetta sandwich. The pork was succulent, but there was too much bread (ciabatta) for the delicious pork inside. Good service right in the middle of a Friday lunch day as well.

Addison Tomlin-gillen

We ordered a Carafe of Mojitos, bruschetta plate and a meat and cheese plate. All of our food was delicious and the atmosphere was great for 10PM

Kim Olgren

Awesome little gem! Creative food and drink that's super fresh and tastey.

Laine Greaves-Smith

Great atmosphere and awesome food. Awesome prices too :) The lights were a bit too dim at night, part of the ambiance and mystery?

Steve Lee

Cool vibe and good food. One tip if you're an old guy like me, bring your flashlight if you go after dark. You'll need it to read the menu and to see your food as the place is very dimly lit inside. I get that they're going for a certain ambience, but it was kind of ridiculous. The staff we encountered were very friendly and took time to explain a couple of the menu items. Drinks and food were really good and I thought reasonably priced.

Jessica Jewett

This little gem was amazing! Staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. Food was delicious, but best of all was the atmosphere. Small, intimate house turned into a restaurant. I loved it and will be back when in Colorado Springs

Mike Smart

Our family stopped here before touring Colorado College. The Brazilian Shrimp Coconut Soup was amazing! I hope our daughter goes to school here just so I can come visit from Minnesota and take her to lunch here. Big thumbs up!

giovana salvador

Delicious food and amazing drink. Cool decoration and friendly staff. Just don't come Friday evening

Karen Cluff

This place was amazing! Incredible food and service. The atmosphere was hip and active. Definitely recommend!

Rochelle Soto

Shuga's is simply amazing. A neighborhood bistro/restaurant/bar filled with high quality creative foods and drinks. the service is casual yet excellent. The atmosphere is quaint and memorable. The entire menu is a winner, but don't miss the Spicy Shrimp soup.

Coleen Marie

Great food, excellent service, very cute atmosphere

Aeosyn S

Perfectly constructed food. Very enjoyable. Good service too! The inside is absolutely adorable. I'd love to go back in the summer or evening.

Valerie Garnet

Food was excellent. Drink (lavender blossom, yuummmm) was poured with a heavy hand, Sam the server was very patient in a thick brunch crowd with our picky selves.

Sheryl Nalley

My first time here. Small cozy place. Not a huge menu, but everything we tried was truly special and very tasty. No draft beer but a nice selection of local bottled. Would suggest less volume in music to make conversation easier, but still I will look forward to coming back and maybe sitting outside for patio dining this spring.

Bini Toffefee

The music is absolutely amazing....lots if british old school pop, grunge, rock, underground, punk....the waiter was nice, the food was great especially the rosemary thyme goat cheese that comes with the starter platter...the toilets were ok. The seats are uncomfortable....some pillows would fix this. The prices are also ok. The crowd is ok. The decorations remind me of an French bistro and an British pub. They have one front and one back terrace. They accept cash and card payments. They have lots of alcohol free choices which are almost all fabulous. The only thing that did not make me give 5 stars is that I had almost a whole onion on one pita bread which is disgusting. My friend ordered the simple salad where they have not indicated that there are croutons in it and another friends soup came after 12min they probably forgot about it.

Jason Mogavero

Wasn't sure if this would be a good place for a business lunch but I gave it a shot. Turns out it was! The food came out quick, tasted great, and the staff was super chill.

MIKE BOLLINGER

Great food and service, fun atmosphere, it started pouring while we were there and the playlist suddenly was all done having to do with rain, it was really fun.

Roxanne Cooper

Awesome place a must if your in Colorado Springs !! Love it

Daniel Ciucci

Very chic. Hipster paradise. Whimsically dark. They have good attention to food with a fun atmosphere. Random art, posters and statues make for an indiscernible ethos which I think is part of what they’re going for.

Greg Berkin

Tapas tapas tapas - all of them delicious! I'll be back for sure.

Georgia Curie

We Love this restaurant! Everything is fresh & great tasting. The service is excellant

Matthew Huston

Fresh and env friendly. Furniture could definitely use an update

Erin Davitt

Love this place. I had a Spanish Coffee the other night that hit the spot. The shrimp soup is delish and the service is always on point.

Edge Entertainment

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent food choices. Highly recommend!

Dwayne Carrington

We live in Denver and was down to see a show at the Colorado Fine Arts Center. We stop at Shuga's because it's opened late, and the food is always great!

Kristie Rhodes

Amazing drinks!!! Food was great too. The atmosphere is fun and our service was impeccable! Thank you!!

RJ 56

Too awesome to describe. Outstanding service. Diverse patrons and staff made it a great evening.

Traci Baxendell

Have enjoyed this place a few times previously, but was disappointed with our most recent experience. We were a party of four and mentioned when our server greeted us that we wanted two checks. Food and drink orders were delivered in a reasonable time. My espresso came in a cup with lipstick on the rim. I sent it back only to have it obviously dumped into a different cup. The espresso was splashed over the outside of the cup and the handle. At the end of our meal, the server brought one check for all four of us. We explained that we'd requested two checks. He took our check to fix it and returned to our table with basically a reprint of the check he'd originally run. The manager came to our table and acted frustrated with us for asking for the bill to be split per our original request. Done with Shuga's.

Kathleen Kimberly Lind Leander

I love the atmosphere of this little place. It's cozy and funky with a fair amount of patio seating. Their food is unique and always fresh. The staff are very friendly. Plan on waiting longer than a usual lunch place.

Elizabeth Santisteven

Great unique food and drinks with great wait staff.

TJ Houck

Got the Cuban and Thai soup. The soup was incredible great texture. Just wish there was more shrimp I only had 2. The sandwich was also really good, I like the mustard tasted a little spicy like it had horseradish in it.

Cathy Collard

Different, not what we were looking for, but the sandwiches we had were delicious. The water comes without ice but they bring it if you ask. Only 4 stars because your plate comes with a sandwich on it... nothing else. Chips, fruit, even a pickle but put something on the plate

Timothy Reagan

Someone recommended this unassuming gem, and I'm glad they did. It's a small dimly lit dining room, with an eclectic bohemian vibe. The menu is limited to soups, salads, and sandwiches but all well executed. The bartender was friendly and happy to serve up the plethora of unique (and bizarre) cocktails, along with a broad liquor selection and even "mystery shots". Its the perfect spot for a date; intimate, classy, and comfortable.

Elizabeth Pollack

Their bread pudding as AMAZING. We just discovered this gem and cannot get enough. The food, atmosphere, and drinks are for anyone looking for a local treasure in Colorado Springs.

Fred Turner

We saw reviews and decided to try it while in town. By far the best food of the weekend. We got there at a busy time and had a short wait. The staff did an excellent job checking in with us. I grabbed a white sangria at the bar to start and it was delicious. We were quickly seated when a table opened up. We had 2 young kids with and they loved their options of cheese pita or ramen soup. Both kids finished their plates so you know it was good. My friend had the Cuban sandwich and I had the Shrimp Soup. The portions were perfect, filled you up but left you wanting more. Loved the decor! Location surprised us, as it looks like a house but the street provided ample parking. Highly recommend!!

Ashley Hanel

This place is a hidden gem! The food and drink was fabulous. I had a high protein beet salad and a delicious blueberry fizz drink. I would give yourself a full hour here as the service it a bit slow for food.

Kevin Timken

The food and drinks are the best.. If it's nice or the yard offers outdoor seating. Great place to kill a weekend afternoon.

Martha Rivett

Best cocktail I've ever had; IN MY LIFE.

Colorado Maven

This is a fun stop when you want somewhere to catch up with girlfriends. It is hard to go wrong with the spicey Brazilian coconut shrimp soup and the menu is full of fun cocktails and other drinks that you won't find many if any other place in town. It is a treat to try something new each time. If you are out late, sometimes they show old foreign movies at night.

stacy Cranmer

Their Lavender Lemonade is really good. The food was excellent and I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Antonius Clyde

Tried this resturant for the first time today. I was happy with my meal. The flavors were unique and the food was fresh. I had the Cuban and the shrimp coconut soup. The bread was perfectly crunchy and the soup was flavor was impeccable. Not a huge selection but they do the few items they offer very well. Price was reasonable and the staff was friendly. Overall very good!

Leslie Amideibak

Good food, great drinks and perfect patio this time of year.

Sandrea Butler

Friendly service. Great food. Lively decorations.

Megan Czojor

Very friendly service and I love the drinks!

Mollie DeCost

Always one of my favorite places! Spicy shrimp soup is off the chain! Great atmosphere and awesome staff

Karmin Vanlandingham

Absolutely excellent food, cocktails, and service! Everything on the menu (that I've had the pleasure of enjoying so far) is wonderfully made. I will definitely be visiting again, and I'll probably bring friends/family!

Swiggit Swoogit

Really overpriced hipster food. Very long wait and the food wasn't even good

Meer Namdar

Food is delicious, a little bit on the expensive side regarding the portion you are given, but good overall.

Justin Nguyen

Cute little place by downtown to grab dinner. Perfect place for a date, for family or friends visiting in town, or just to enjoy a nice night on the town! There is an amazing patio out back, the bar makes great drinks, and the staff are energetic and fun! Would recommend to anyone living or passing through Colorado Springs.

Keith Baker

Best accidental find of our trip. We were hungry and this popped up on Yelp. Good ice tea and sandwiches. Caution though, sandwiches very in size so ask your wait staff when ordering.

Jared Hammer

Had really good food. Lots of flavor and interesting choices. I appreciated the fast and friendly service. Personally it seemed like a bit small on the portion size for the cost, but again, really good food. The atmosphere is cosy and warm. Good place to try if you're looking for something new in the area.

Ross Weber

Quaint little cafe with awesome food!

Cindy Boyd

Eclectic decor. Friendly staff. Great food. Made me think of places we went to in Austin, which is the biggest compliment I can give a food establishment.

Maggie Clarke

This restaurant is so great. It is the best experience of delicious food in Colorado Springs. It is so great, we came two days in a row. Love love love the food. The Watermelon gazpacho, the spicy shrimp soup, the hummus and olive tapenade. For the love of God get the Almond butter cake. I don't think I've ever had such delicious cocktails too. Do yourself a favor and eat here!

Lorian Harris

Funky menu, cool ambience. We liked it.

Bruce Kazdan

Great food. Good service.

Lynnae Darby

Very different atmosphere but i liked it. Went here for a date and we sat at the bar. All the people were so nice. The food was different. Not really my taste but i would totally go back and try new things. Found food i loved and food i was ehh about. But i would still recommend it! Id recommend the shrimp soup, the porchetta, and the almond butter cake. Yunmm

Kate Brophy

Great food. Great drinks. Great staff.

Jessie Velasquez

I love this place Unfortunately, their ceviche was more like pico de gallo with two tiny shrimp

Cynthia Lane

american food... super satisfying. It was so appetizing. There was fast, efficient, and courteous service. This place has a nice atmosphere. Atmosphere and food reminds me of Virginia Beach.

Corinne Andrews

Food is unique and delicious every time. Cocktails are the same. Service is always friendly, and I love the atmosphere. No complaints. Favorite little place on a cold night to be cozy and have Brazilian soup and Spanish coffees. Love the summer cocktails, ceviche, and patio on warm nights.

You're just going to have to trust me. Wow.

Has a nice interesting touch in decorations, lived the outdoor sitting and sandwich

Get the spicy Brazilian coconut shrimp soup. It's delicious. Their beer selection is fantastic and the wait staff is too. The bathrooms are beautifully decorated and have paper towels!

Matthew Knapek

They had an excellent soup made with coconut milk and shrimp. Great vibes abound.

Lars Van Etten

Good drinks, intresting dishes.

Great delicious food! Love the coconut shrimp soup. The restaurant is in a unique old house with no insulation, so the sound echos if you go on a busy night. I usually just order take out. Definitely recommend it.

Bob McGowan

Quaint, lively place, art oriented. Quality staff and excellent food. Recommend!

Cozy restaurant and well stocked bar. Wholesome soup, sandwich and salad selections. Tasty teas and flavored spritzers with coffee and espresso drinks. Only 3 or 4 desserts, but my oh my they are scrumptious. Waitstaff is friendly and efficient. Stays open late. Shuga's has become a favorite!

I always love Shuga's. Their food is interesting and tastes great, their service is outstanding and they have one of the most creative full bars in town.

We can’t get enough of this place. Our “go to” is the Cafe Tray. It offers a variety of tastes and textures with everything you need to satisfy your discriminating palate, down to the slice of almond butter cake. The Spicy Brazilian Shrimp soup is divine! The staff has always been kind and attentive even though they are almost always busy. I think this Colorado Springs’ secret gem has been discovered.

Cute, quaint, cool. Checks all the boxes. Very small so not for large parties. The back is like sitting at your buddy's house at the patio table with an umbrella while the kids play in the pool. Foods aight. No complaints. They support local artists very well. Double thumbs up.

Small but mighty. Come with an open mind and an empty stomach. Ambience /decor/vibe: [4.5] very cool and creative decor. Loved the mismatching chairs and eclectic vibe. Only down side, as other reviewers pointed out, it’s a tight space. Service: [4.5] very attentive and friendly. Seated right away. Food came out quick. Food/drinks: [4.5] awesome drink menu. You can tell a good bar by how much fresh fruit and herbs they have behind the bar. This place was stocked. Food was amazing - the Thai soup was unbelievable. Well done.

Isabelle Ward

A favorite location for tasty american food. Service is prompt even when they are busy. Service is consistently great.

The food here is great! Everyone here is really nice, and the place is dog friendly. The food was great, couldn't ask for better. Definitely a great lunch spot!

Rachael Clark

Indulged in a cuban sandwich and it was worth it. My friend got the Shuga's favorite Mediterranean sampler, and that looked amazing as well. Fun, funky atmosphere.

It's a step into the trendy "hipster" vibe that draws all ages. Amazing atmosphere and decor is perfect for this location. Great food and beverage. If you get a seat at the bar, you're rating goes up 2 stars immediately. Why? Service! It all comes down to timing. Meet and greet, order taking, time from drink order to table and food to table.
