Great food way overpriced though

May Averill

We went in for happy hour and i was surprised to find a $3 tostada on the happy hour menu. I decided to give it a try and it was AMAZING!! I highly recommend you to give it a try. I know i wasnt disappointed and i dont think you will be either. My boyfriend had the beet burger and he said it was surprisingly good for being made out of beets. I would definitely come back.

andros lee

Impossible burger was fun. I will gladly go back.

Norman Cox

Delicious, natural, Colorado/local sourced food.

John Kingdon

Great food and great service.

Sally Hanley

A little pricey but delicious!

olivia schoen

Worth the 15 min drive to go to the one in Boulder!

N E

Do not understand these good reviews. Must be from friends and family. The menu is very limited and is just not very good. Food is sub-par, yet pricey. Service was terrible. Our waitress, Paris, was rude beyond belief. We stopped at appetizers because they were so gross, but none of the descriptions on the main dishes looked appetizing at all. I'm not sure what they are trying to do here.Whatever it is, it's not working.

Ryan Harper

Love everything i have tried here. This is one of our regular rotations, salmon burger is my go to.

Ingrid Z Johnson C Ht

Remarkably less satisfying experience than other Next Door locations.

Sally Glass

6 ladies had lunch here on a Saturday. I was a bit worried about portions size from other reviews but need not have been. Everyone one of us were very happy and very full at the end. I had a salmon bowl which honestly I could have shared - very full portion and absolutely delicious. The veg tacos looked amazing too. Try the garlic/ cheese 'smashers' - a loaded plate for $7 for a starter - yummy. Every table was taken with happy diners, the burgers that went out looked fabulous. Service was incredibly attentive. We will be back!

Jill Reeves

Great, prompt service! Servers were so accommodating! Great food!

Terri Burton

Great (and unique) food! Awesome service! Highly recommend this place! My only request would be for a black bean or veggie burger!

Pam Bradley

Good food and casual atmosphere.

E. P.

Good food. Slow service. Great place to take the kids. Great views.

Nolan Bartiss

Fantastic service! Amazing atmosphere and food. Highly recommend the Cuban!!

LP

Our party started with the Hummus veggie and Chip plate, more than enough for 4 people to share and they brought extra chips to finish the Hummus. We also tried the Roasted Balsamic beets which arrived incorrectly prepared, and the kitchen promptly apologized for the error and remade the dish correctly. Even though they replaced the dish they insisted on removing it from the bill, Such integrity is rare and to be applauded. Two of our party had Kale and Apple salads with chicken. Both were lovely fresh crisp and had just the right amount of dressing. One enjoyed the Ancho Chicken, spicy kick, with sweet fried onions to finish. The last dish sampled was the Roasted Vegetables served on tricolored quinoa. Delicious! I highly recommend the local made Lime Pepper Sauce as an addition if you like a little zing added to the sweetness of the vegetables. Great service, and nice atmosphere.

Nathan Winter

Food was fresh, hot and very tasty. It also arrived surprisingly fast. Great service and atmosphere.

Daniel Morhous

Pretty slammin. The parmesan garlic potato smashers slap. Good place to bring your family from out of town.

Mateusz Wykurz

Nothing too fancy but food tastes great.

Luther Martinez

I loved the place, the food was awesome and the staff was friendly. Try the Buttersquash Thai soup and you will be smiling. My drink was also perfect.

Todd Johnson

Next Door was an amazing place to eat. The service was great and the food was amazing! I want to try more things on the menu so we will be back.

neil spink

Nice relaxing atmosphere. Staff are attentive and friendly. Great food that came out hot and in good time. Local brew menu has a great selection.

michael phillips

Great place for farm to table meals. Balsamic Beet salad was excellent as an appetizer. All of our meals were flavorful and fresh. Their craft beer selection was good as well. Worth the trip if you haven't been here.

Bret Tredway

Great food and healthy! We enjoyed an early happy hour and ordered the veggie nachos...wow what a tastey delight! We will be back often!

Alana Lin

Great food and service

Nic Miranda

Potato smashers were hard as rock and my gulf shrimp bowl tasted like straight vinegar. Will definitely be our last visit to this location. What a shame.

Phil Lelievre

Great fresh salads and bowls!

Mary Davis

When they are "on" the food is yummy and well presented. But both the food and drink quality fluctuates as does the take out.

Jimmy chops

Food was good, nothing that blew my socks off. The service was great, the waiter was timely and attentive. Atmosphere was trendy and a little cramped. Overall a nice meal at a decent price.

Kai Cu

Beautiful atmosphere. Very nice place. Staff is really friendly and super responsive. Also gluten free friendly. Good food. It's one of my favorite places.

Andrew LaChance

Grade A customer service! Placed a to go order with them and an order of fries were forgotten. Called to let them know about the mistake and the manager Ben offered to have the order of fries delivered all the way across town. Ben not only threw in an extra few orders of fries for the trouble he also delivered them HIMSELF. No businesses are exempt from making mistakes but it is how you respond to those mistakes that make you a good business. Thanks a bunch Ben!

Becky Houghton

I don't get how this place is getting such high ratings. Longmont, are we that hard up? I ordered a Caesar salad and it consisted of two cups of lettuce , packaged croutons and a very small amount of what looked like canned parmesan. All that deliciousness for 11+ dollars! It was a take out salad. Maybe their sit down food is better.

Brian Brown

One of my favorites in Longmont. All scratch made local ingredients. Good beer and bar as well.

Alex Miller

Been a few times, just not good. I ordered a burger, which came out looking like a charred Bubba Burger that had been sitting under a heat lamp for 20 minutes. Even the bacon on top was dry and shoe-leathery. All for the low price of $15 (no sides).

Jamie Doheny

Food was yummy, beet burger is always a good choice and the drinks were great too. Waiter was a bit over the top checking on us over and over but he may have been a newbie, otherwise would definitely go back and recommend to others looking for sustainable meals with local farm ingredients!

bulllador

Stopped in for a late-night fight with a friend while visiting Colorado. We sat at the bar where we got excellent service from the female bartender. I tried their salmon cake burger and it was excellent. Definitely enjoyed my meal as did my friend

JAMBA DUNN

Here is my one, but significant gripe. I very much wish I didn't have a gripe with The Kitchen, The Kitchen Next Door, or the Next Door Eatery, because I love the restaurants and the atmospheres, and my kids like the kale chips, but here it is: canola oil. Canola oil is a highly refined GMO (the GMO version of canola was created by Monsanto in 1995 and is now responsible for 90%+ of all canola) even small amounts of which can cause major inflammation for people suffering with Hashimoto's Disease, like myself. There are, however, other significant potential health and environmental concerns associated with canola. Among these is an increase in artificial trans fats caused when the polyunsaturated fats in canola are cooked at high heat. The inflammation I experience with canola is believed to be linked to its high levels of omega-6 (erucic acid). Omega-6 is necessary in our diet at a level of 1:1 with omega-3, but high levels of omega-6 have been implicated in studies as causing high blood pressure, blood clots, and strokes. Canola is 2:1 omega-6 to omega-3, and because we consume so much canola in pre-packaged foods and restaurants it’s said that the American diet is as high as 15:1, an imbalance linked to chronic conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, obesity, and heart disease. The implications are too severe to simply be ignored. Even if the studies funded by the canola industry are to be believed (canola is a safe, light oil, with fewer calories than olive and butter, they say), and even if you believe you shouldn’t change what you cook for the one-off local who can’t eat canola -- who wants local vegetables, wild salmon, and farm-to-table fare prepared in GMOs? The Next Door Eatery prepares all of its vegetables in canola, the olive oil they use is mixed with canola oil, and nearly everything on the menu contains canola. Canola oil defies the notion of healthy dining.

Leisa Silkey

Expensive service a bit slow

Brian Sullivan

Fresh tasting and good service

Paula Hoogland

Good clean food from local sources. This is a very versatile menu when you have specific food needs. My husband had a great looking burger on a gluten free bun... while I had a roasted veggie salad (Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan). Other menu items included fish tacos, sandwiches, and nice shareables. The interior is modern, and a little uncomfortable. The service was great.

Don Dude

I would say a decent place for meal. Works well for a group as it is pretty roomy, but also equally good for a single or couples meal. Food was good, apparently locally sourced based on all the color commentary. A bit more trendy and regional 'chainy' than I prefer, but gotta give credit for solid food. Lots of activities around the venue, and I am sure it is hopping during happy hour and weekends. Good beer selection, but not remarkable. Looked like a solid wine selection and tastey cocktail list. The Cuban was good, through a little 'reinterpretted' in its preparation. Cauliflower dish was good, but a bit misleading. Didn't see much 'burnt' accents on it and was expecting room temp vs cold. Strong flavors but not as well blended as I would have expected. Good venue for business meal. Parking nearby. Kid friendly. I guess I was expecting a more ecclectic, homey, local place based on adverts. I would go back, though. If you want 'safe' selection of options, but well prepared, this is your place!

Martin Roth

Food was great, but they were out of half the beers on the menu. A bit pricy, though not outrageous, and that's expected for a farm-to-table restaurant. I'll go again, but will make sure they have the beer I want before ordering anything else.

Ashley W

Refreshing to see a Farm-to-Table restaurant with such healthy options. Very tasty! Will definitely be back

Danica Skrobot

Great food. My husband whose usually not a a burger fan loved the 50/50 burger and my Salmon plate was incredible. Gus, our waiter was great. We went there on a whim and we'll definitely be going back.

Joan Russell

Our server was amazing -- very accommodating, even though we had a large party .The food was full of flavor and obviously fresh. I'm not from the area, but I will definitely eat at Next Door when I'm back in Longmont.

C Coleman

Very attentive service with a smile. Our drinks were delicious, and the burgers are fantastic.

Buzz Feldman

Good food, prepared a little different than what you might expect. A nice surprise! Great service, too.

Michelle R.

They list the allergens on the menu, which is glorious. But then they can also sometimes make changes to accommodate you since they cook from scratch. I got the chicken and quinoa soup plus the broccolini and everything was very tasty.

RandomTaterTots

The atmosphere is great. Surprised to discover they close at 9pm... Even on Saturday's. I have to say, I was pretty unimpressed considering how much they charge for drinks and food, to be honest. Paid $30 for 2 drinks and chips w guac

Claudia Archuleta

Great Happy Hour and a comfortable environment. Everyone is always friendly

christopher deguzman

Fantastic service from GUS! He delivered a wonderful experience and had great knowledge about the food! I loved the buffalo bites! Will come back soon!

Murrel Gray

Food is always tasty....and the service is aways good!!!

Ronald Fiet

Great food and service

Chris Wood

This place is good put it's a gamble sometimes the food taste like it was microwaved but it's usually good

Martha Martin

We had the fish and fries which the fish was overcooked and the fries were overcooked. Coleslaw was bland.

Pat Waak

Keep going back. We especially love their farm to table food.

Erika McCleary

I have never had less that great service here. Open since last fall, we've been regulars since. I love that the bar keeps one tap for rotation. The servers always have a great recommendation or can offer a sample. The food is almost exclusively local. Try the salmon! Try the calamari!

Ross Jordan

Loved it! Yeeat staff, great happy hour, awesome burgers and apps. DEFINITELY worth a stop.

Brett Jones

Good fresh food. Had the Hacienda Hash my first visit and the Farmstand Breakfast Tacos the second. I left very satisfied and not overly stuffed.

Joel Mansfield

The food tasted fine, but there portion sizes we're a bit small. On top of that the prices are too much for the portion size. A $7 kids burger was barely larger than a regular slider. It came with a tiny side and left my 4 year old hungry. I didn't know I had to order an appetizer to be satisfied. Hit the like button below if you found this info valuable. Thanks.

rachel garcia

I loved this place. Delicious fish and chips

K Schwartz

The food was amazing! Max the bartender took great care of us. Would highly recommend for healthy fair along with other yummy options as well.

Lorie Booth

Decent food. It's like an overpriced, loud, uncomfortable version of Chili's. Where there is a smaller selection, super small portions, but hey at least some stuff is locally sourced.

Andy Idema

Our go to local spot. Staff is fantastic and the hidden menu continues to grow for us. They treat my kiddos well every visit and that's huge. Love this spot happy to have it in Longmont!

Ashley Zamudio

Food was great, drinks were awesome the service on the other hand was mediocre at best. Having a more diverse staff might help the vibe. Don’t recommend unless your a certain color, class or status.

Eric Wolf

The Good: food was good and there was no wait. The Bad: cocktail was expensive and too small, restaurant was noisy despite only three tables had customers, service was slow and poorly timed, despite there being two wait staff and only three tables with customers.

Gregory Brooks

Great food, great atmosphere

Henry Planchard-Cavanaugh

Food was mediocre at best. The menu was alright, but lacked anything unique or interesting. Though my wife LOVES the salmon plate entree! The downfall of our experience was the service. The service was so terrible, it was appalling! We sat at the bar, and were greeted by a seemingly friendly waitress. Our bartender didn’t bring us menus, take our beverage orders, or acknowledge us in any way. The daft little blonde woman was too busy flirting with a coworker to give us the time of day. Once she finally came to take our meal orders, we were treated poorly, and told us the food we ordered was not good. Not forgetting to mentioned how she rushed us and made us feel as if she had something else to do. (Other than her job.) All in all a bad experience. Hopefully the Next Door location in Boulder is better. That’s where we will he taking our business.

Ian Elliott

They have good food, including gluten free options. I've enjoyed their staff as well.

Carl Chamberlain

A wonderful place for lunch with friends.

Cordelia Wilkerson

Fabulous farm to table food at excellent prices. Lovely restaurant.

Brooke Pitcairn

One of our favorite Longmont restaurants! So many vegetarian options. Yum!

Greg Davis

Terrific quality/value proposition.

Mark Mann

Probably won't hurry back. Had to walk thru a crowd of the kitchen staff smoking outside. Listened to them singing while they were in the kitchen. Wait staff was self absorbed at best, bitchy at worst. Food was meh. The chips from the fish and chips were kinda interesting but the rest was decidedly average. Nothing worth coming back for.

Hector M

Nice little restaurant with a great contemporary feel. The food was very good, we couldn't stop ordering the Buffalo Chicken Bites appetizer. The staff was perfect, friendly and knowledgeable. A little pricey but don't get bent out of shape just enjoy yourself - you only live once (or twice if you're Buddhist). Can't wait for the patio this spring/summer, should be nice with the concerts. My only issue with ND is the bar staff, who are more concerned with wiping, stacking things and chatting with their work mates than conversing/engaging with the bar customers. This is true for most bar tenders in Longmont. Bar tending is more than pouring drinks, it is the first component of a restaurants overall customer experiences. Bar stools are a potential gold mine and bar tenders need to learn how to keep them filled. Make a bar fun and you'll keep the bar full and full bar will always end up eating something.

Aaron Shute

This is at a great location! The service is great, friendly and respectably knowledgeable. Though the food is particularly good, my hopes we're a little higher. I am definitely not trashing the food, because it is rather good! (Nothing negative stood out, it just seemed as something was missing) I did rather enjoy how much attention they put on local ingredients. The drink selection is rather good. Someone put good thought into it. I will most definitely be back!!

Heather Haaland

If you love roasted veggies this is the bomb. The roasted veggie bowl and cauliflower salad are amazing, and the beet burger is also fantastic.

Heaven Wilkerson

Food is amazing! All consciously handled natural/organic purveyors. Awesome service as well!

Faye Martin

We ordered two meals here - I can't even remember what they were, I know one was a salad. What I do remember is that neither of us ate even 50% of our meal or asked for a takeout box. I do remember that I wouldn't want a takeout box either - overall the salad I ordered was disappointing. Since my partner was my 13 year old daughter and she was less than eager to take home any leftovers, I'm sure she felt the same way. Despite coupons and incentives to go back, we've avoided this place like the plague. In our opinion, not worth visiting.

William West Hopper

While there are a lot of choices in this shopping center this spot offers local fresh meals that are well thought out , good for you, and quite tasty. Service was great, and they have a nice bar. Will return.

Erron Lacy

Not great. The service was really great but the food did not live up to the reviews. I ordered a cheeseburger with bacon. The bacon was tough and reminded me of jerky. It was very difficult to eat. I was told the chef recommended the burger be cooked medium, which is my preference as well, but the burger was well done and dry. I'm not in a hurry to try it again after that meal. Maybe I just ordered wrong.

NORAH SOWA

Enjoyed our lunch very much...

David Meier

Nice food."Healthy"

Jason Sanders

Excellent food and service!

Lizette Najera

I visit this area about twice a year and this restaurant never disaapoints! Try their fish and chips, green chili soup, Cubano sandwich, or anything. I'm sure everything is delicious!

Brian Pratt

Food is interesting but a little bland and pricey. Beer choices are slim.

Louie Lyon

Just had a great dinner and excellent service

brett Engelhardt

Poor service in a half empty restaurant. They sat another table of 4 basically at the same table we where at. There was over half of the other tables open. The garlic smasher was good. The chicken sandwich was dry. I may try it again.

Lance Rishel

The Food is Bland. The chips are a joke, and taste like something a third grader would eat. The burgers are not served on actual buns, and instead on breakfast patties the manger probably bought at Target. And the atmosphere sucks. Avoid!

Steve Croissant

Good service but I didn't think the food was anything special

Heather Ulmer

Really good service, a nice variety of fresh and seasonal entries combined with great ambiance. They have a terrific happy hour. The salads are wonderful but the dressings lack kick (I've had three - ranch, oregano, and the lemon). Overall it's a great destination.

Robyn Albertson

Wonderful food and great service! I love when you get an entire bottle of water on the table because my friends and I drink a lot of water. The food came out fast and it was so fresh. Can't wait to go back!

Ian Glycenfer

One of the best places to eat in Longmont!

Dave Appel

Pleasantly surprised. Great selection at good prices. Like the farm to table and Impossible Burger options.

Prajakta Mehta

Food was awesome and servers were friendly and accommodating too. If you love roasted veggies then this place is the best. Casual, comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Definitely one of the best places to eat in Longmont. Highly recommend!

Bugsy

Next door was a big disappointment. I got a burger and it was over done and was small also not the best burger I’ve had. The fries were few and I would say better than the actual burger but not by much. Mc Donald’s fries are better than what I got served. The service was slow but not to bad. I would not recommend Next door.

jeff Baldridge

Foumd this place on accident. Food, service and outdoor seating was great.

Kirk Eriksen

Pricey for sure, but excellent food and nice décor.

Ned Love

Didn't like anything about it,noisy and didn't care for the food.

Sandrine Druon

One of the best restaurant in Longmont. They have a very good selection of different food inspired by different type of cuisine. It's affordable and good.

Murray Hills

Really disappointing from the poor food and service to the bland atmosphere. Having enjoyed the boulder location we were hopeful that this would have been close to the same standard, but in reality the experiences were light years apart. Not to be recommended any time soon.

Anna Jean Lohse

We were pleasantly surprised by the family friendly atmosphere! A snack size hummus and veggies was provided for our son as soon as we sat down, which kept him happy and occupied during our meal. Pictured are the Ancho Chicken bowl, the chicken and quinoa soup, the grilled chicken sandwich, and the (adult sized) hummus appetizer.

Roger Martin

Went with my folks and we all had the fish and chips. Unfortunately, the fish and fries were overcooked and the cole slaw was bland. Bright spots include the tartar sauce, service, and decor.

Theresa Callaghan

Excellent restaurant! I've been many times, food is always delicious, and the service is always stellar. Great place for a family dinner or date night.

Ben Weerts

Good, locallly sourced food, casual family-friendly atmosphere.

Tori Webster

Having a strict diet I felt very taken care of at this restaurant! Fantastic options, healthy, feel good food. The only reason why ND didn’t get 5 was because I think the vegetable portions could and should be bigger. Awesome service

Ryan Domocmat

Enjoyed a excellent lunch. My wife had the Load Smashers, fingerling potatoes, boiled, baked, smashed and fried. Then topped with goodness. My burger was the 50/50, a combination of cremini mushrooms and beef, topped with carmelized onions. Our server was swell also. A great addition to the Longmont "food scene!"

Johnny Barrett

Family of four. Sat down, was given 4 hot water glasses (just washed) and a bottle of water. Had to ask several times for ice for the water. Took quite a while to get our order taken. We asked to swap house dressing with ranch - they charged $.50 for each. When the final bill came we learned that there were many incremental costs added which they don't advise you upon at the time of your order. We only had water to drink, no fancy meals and no appetizers for lunch, still came to $58 plus tip. The food was very good, portions a bit small. The atmosphere nice, but service and the nickle and dimed approach used have made the entire family think there are more affordable alternatives in the Longmont Food Court. We wish them success, but most likely we won't be back.

Michael Kucsmas

Fish and chips! Fish and chips! And the slaw has thin slices of jalapeños in it. Very family friendly. Nice location in the new Longmont open mall located near the Cinemax.

Jordan May

So dissatisfied. Went for take out to tonight for family. Got home to realize food was prepared incorrectly. Now I get to convince the family to eat food they dont want and didn't order. Awesome.

Mike Horn

Solid pub menu, good service, good drink selection. Easy access and plenty of parking.

Bree Lawler

Super yummy fresh food made to order just the way you want. The tomato soup is very fresh tasting and the burgers are amazing.

Donald Quirk

Good sandwiches, great service, pleasant atmosphere.

JP Butler

Love the atmosphere, love the food, and the drinks are reasonably priced. Always a fun time over at Next Door!

Lee Gann

Great little restaurant. Not expensive friendly staff. We went mostly apps and shared a chicken sandwich. I got the sandwich for the wife but it was extremely good. Great call. Best things were the apps tho. Hit happy hour 4p-6p and grab the fried pickles and pepperoncini, the Bacon wrapped Dates, and the pressed fingerling potatoes. All three AMAZING. Guac and chips were not my favorite but it's more of a I like chunks of tomatoes so that's a personal taste. Noelle was a great server and very attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant

Kadi Abel

Food was delicious and fresh. A little overpriced. Good service. Kids meals were not kid friendly... unless your kids like kale and fancy grilled cheese on ciabotta that they can barely chew

Luke Humbrecht

Love Next Door’s food. Elevated American food at affordable prices. The Longmont location has an amazing atmosphere. Well done.

eneri delatorre

Delicious food and excellent service! Good music.

CHRIS POWELL

I truly enjoy The Kitchen Next Door! The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is always tasty and so many healthy options. Highly suggest this place.

Matt Kistler

Food was way overpriced for what we ordered. I got the meatball bowl and she got a Cuban sandwich. The cuban looked great and she liked it and chips were very good. However my dish I could not say the same for $14.95 I got 3 meatballs on top of a pile of what tasted like instant mashed potatoes and some broccoli. The dish hardly filled me up and the taste was hardly anything special. Atmosphere was great and wait staff was great as well, would have been a 5 star review if cost was lower and/or the food matched the price.

Teresa F

Great food and ambiance. They support local agriculture!

Stephen Gillette

Great food. Service was excellent.Had the fish and chips and it was very tasty.

Drew A

This place always has quality food, great beer and wine menu. Tasteful decor and ambience, friendly staff. It might (or might not!) be a bit pricier than some of the nearby places, like Red Robin's, but can you really compare them?! No. This certainly more upscale. This is a hands-down winner for Longmont. Kids menu is also appreciated. It has turned into our kids' favorite spot in town.

Cody Proctor

Amazing food and great customer service

Jeremy Banker

Great local food, with plenty of healthier options. The vegan Impossible burger is a must-try here.

Steve Causey

Service was great! Very friendly. Food was great too. Highly recommended.

Travis Salzman

Decent food but service can be rude

mark mccleary

Good food and above friendly staff

Louis

Gave this location numerous shots, and my conclusion is that it’s not worth it. I like the concept and the menu but the food needs to be fixed. Between the cheap hamburger buns, the bland and soggy coleslaw, the oily fried foods, the very, very cheap dipping sauces and the overall lack of seasoning/attention to detail, I don’t know if I’ll go back!

Alexis Taylor-ross

Truffle macaroni and cheese is delicious.

Matthew Benz-Whittington

Really great service and the whole team was helpful throughout our meal. Will definitely go back.

Ted Kawulok

Locally sourced, good flavor combinations, capable of handling special requests. The food and service are always great here.

Jim Riley

Great food. Great service! I love eating here for tasty and healthy meals.

Lindsay Parsons

Great happy hour spot with the friends. Indoor or outdoor seating. Friendly staff and a plethora of food options for everyone.

Randy Wang

Good tasting healthy food with lots of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Food was a little expensive though

Keith Asis

Good food

Nick Morris

Food was awesome! I will definitely be back
