Interesting spot. Dark, pub interior and charming courtyard in the back. Beers are good and well priced. Food is presented in a kind of retro, lo-tec way: sandwiches and burgers are wrapped, while sides come in paper baskets, and served with plastic cutlery and a plastic condiment/toppings station. Food is delicious, but very filling.

One of the older bars in Denver, this place is an iconic institution in the city. Lots of history here, with great burgers to boot! There is an outside patio in the back that is amazing to have lunch on when the weather permits. Friendly staff every time I have been here. Kinda anonymous building so check your directions first. Great neighborhood with tons of amazing stuff within walking distance.

The aroma of onion rings greeted us as we entered My Brother's Bar and we instantly decided we were having an order of them. We chose to sit outside on the patio as there is no smoking even outside. Most of our party chose to have cheeseburgers and they all agreed they were delicious. Hubby had a bison burger that he found to be satisfactory. I chose the chicken cashew salad sandwich but found it a little difficult to eat, but otherwise it was pretty good once I basically split the top from the bottom and ate it open-faced. There are no sides included with main meal items so we shared a large order of fries and onion rings between the five of us. Overall the food was good and the wait staff was attentive. I would go back if ever in the area again.

Great little spot in downtown Denver. Cozy little pub area with great food and service. Met there for a group meeting and we were allowed a complete section of the bar for our use. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful.

Fantastic bar, people, food and space. We stopped in while visiting Denver and ending up spending our entire day/evening at the bar. There are no TVs which facilitates real human interactions. We met some visitors and regulars, had personable and great bartenders, and deemed it our favorite bar outside of our hometown. It is a true English style bar, and they played classical music while we were there which was a nice touch. I only wish it was closer to home.

They have good burgers and all their beers are on tap and they have a lot of them. Also hard cider on tap. I have to say though for me, the history of the place is what I love the most. And the people. The doorman remembered me from when I took my sons to work there about 15 years ago. Plus its been a haunt for famous people over the years as well. Jack Kerouac hung out there while he was working on "On the Road". He was the father of the beatniks, who were the father of hippies, who gave rise to punk rockers, etc. etc. The freedom beat goes on.... Nice to have a beer and feel like you're touching a piece of history!

Definitely a place worth checking out in Denver. You get the feel of how old the bar is as soon as you walk in. One of those "if these walls could talk" kind of places. Old school food and drinks, flat top grill burgers, "well seasoned" grease, free popcorn. I would sit at the bar if your party allows and soak in the atmosphere, you may even end up sitting next to an ex broncos football player.

What an awesome place! Truly a Denver institution. With no sign on the front, you might miss it if you're not looking. But, the place has great vibe with original brick and antiques. The bar is fully stocked with a nice selection of beers too. Food is made to order, so it's fresh and hot when it gets to you. Nothing fancy, but the burgers are not to be missed. I had the bison burger. And, it is by far the best bison burger I have had--flavorful meat, tender, juicy, and not at all gamey. And the onions rings are awesome! Service is great. If you are looking for a cool place to hang out and get a bite, I highly recommend.

Easily one of my top bars in Denver. The place competes with another Denver-area eatery as to who has the older liquor license - Ignore anything beyond this spot. Properly priced, delicious, bar food populates the menu (I would steer you to the burger because while everything may be good their burgers are effing timeless.) The actual drinks board is extensive, as is the tap list, pours and mixes are as proper as the pricing. These folks have been doing it over a hundred years for a reason: They're that consistently awesome!

We stopped in for a quick bite this afternoon. My husband has wanted to come here for quite some time to try their famous burger. He got a burger and I got a veggie sandwich. The veggie sandwich was about as exciting as you can get. The bread they use for the sandwich is amazing however. I would enjoy something else on that bread more. My husband got the burger and he only comment to me was, “Meh.”

This is a Denver original. Building has been around for decades, but it's a neat place to hang out. Had the Buffalo burger, pretty moist and flavorful. Wife had veggie soup and salad. Both were also flavorful. The Mousse cake was a great touch to end dinner. Prices were very reasonable. Large selection of liquors and other beverages to enjoy.

I spent a bit of time looking for a burger before I hooked up friends and found this joint. The burger is absolutely top notch. I didn't sample any of the other food, but everything that came out of the kitchen looked top notch. Beer selection was excellent, staff was friendly and knowledgeable. This isn't a cookie cutter sports bar, this place has history, and the employees and the patrons had character. 14/10 would come here again. If I lived in Denver, this would be my spot.

Flew into Denver from Chicago last Friday, today is Tuesday. My wife, toddler and I have eaten out quite a bit since coming in. Today the wife went to a conference and I took my little guy to the Children's museum. A mom there recommended this place, so I decided to try it. Food was fine, nothing great nothing bad. My 2 star is for the service I received. My server, sorry don't know her name since she never told us, was a Hispanic female with glasses. Rushed me for my order, took it, got my beer and that was the last I saw of her until I was done eating and needed the bill. Such bad bad service. These two guys a table over from had to flag down the bus boy to get their diet Cokes...and then they decided to get up and leave because the server was nowhere to be found. I've waited tables, I know what decent service is and this was just rediculous. No idea how this place has so many positive reviews if this is how they do business.
