Great views, beautiful setting, fair enough food. Buffet @ $40 was a little much but the views made up for it. Nice well maintained resort that feels like a vacation just going in for dinner. For the money I would have liked to see some meat options besides chicken and pork.
Beautiful views and good food
We took the time out for dinner there, thanks to my big time cousin with his earnings.
Food was awesome had the Valentine's day dinner. The desert part was especially good and Ron the waiter was great.
What a good location for great food
Food was ok, view was great
(Translated by Google) A spectacular view I loved very relaxing (Original) Una vista Espestacular me encantó muy relajante
Beautiful view. We didn't have dinner to be fair but my wife did wait an hour for a bowl of egg drop soup. Server said they had to make more lol, even tho it was on the buffet "and the bowls are small" she said. She also advised she hadn't asked the kitchen about it because "they get mad". I admit I asked then if that meant they "trumped us" to which she responded by never coming back. We did hear from "Ron the bully" manager tho. Yeah. Definitely a great reayort tho so he won't stop us from staying there again. Just our experience.
Good food
Love it
Been coming to the buffet for years, sadly this will be the last. No prime rib, cold over cooked Benedict, usually have good veried hot items, was just breakfast, had friends from out of town, the view was the only thing getting a compliment.
Decent menu, somewhat private dining
Killer good food!
Great service and good food. Sunday brunch is expensive.
We had a reservation for our 10 year anniversary, but when we arrived we were told that they only had the holiday brunch buffet available, not the standard menu. We did not want a buffet for our anniversary. Thankfully they let us order off of the regular menu since we were not made aware of this change in advance. However, our filet mignon wasn't anything special. It wasn't very tender and was kind of chewy. I expect a filet mignon to melt in my mouth.
Easter Brunch was amazing, little pricey but worth it. Super nice staff they were quick to serve and clear plates keeping the table clean. All food stations never ran out. I'll make reservations again next Easter.
Stunning views! Very unique restaurant, part of a resort. Buffet was good, service was outstanding. We were welcome to stay as long as we liked and enjoyed the fire pit as well. Highly recommend
Really good food. Expensive but very good.
Food was delicious but well overpriced. I've had better food way cheaper. It's not that the food was bad it was very good but not 36 dollars a person for a buffet good. Seemed like a tourist trap. Yeah it's at a nice resort but it's right next to Colorado Springs so I mean everything is "Mountain View." This is literally a block off the interstate not some elevated breathtaking restaurant.
Beautiful resort! Extremely helpful and friendly staff, great amenities. I will be back
Great location, nice resort and facilities. Friendly staff. Probably even nicer in spring and summer.
Here for Father's Day brunch. Food selection was very good. Carving station, waffles, salmon, various salads and vegetables. Beautiful dessert selection. Awesome mountain view.
Nice view and atmosphere but high price and just "ok" service and food.
Great service, very nice people, $$$ food is excellent!
Great views, feels like a mountain Lodge. Sunday brunch here is excellent.
Simply devine
Excellent
Great place
Accommodating staff, great food and fantastic views.
The breakfast and Lunch buffet is awesome!
Ok place for fireworks
Very comfortable and plesent
Christmas brunch at the resort is a special Christmas treat. The buffet was incredible - excellent prime rib, made to order omletes and waffles, and many other dishes far to plentiful to name individually. The amosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is impeccably attentive (I barely finished a mimosa before they were there to refill!) If you haven't had Christmas brunch here, it should be on your bucket list.
Overpriced and mediocre stale buffet food.
We went for brunch. It was delightful and a great view.
Delicious and the highlight of my trip. We ate at the buffet, got served promptly with drinks and the staff was really accommodating.
When you want GREAT food, outstanding service and mountain views, this is the place for you. Hats off to the Chef and crew!!! You will Love this place and don't forget to look around after those bellies are full
This place has a great view and different dining options. You can do the buffet or you can order off the menu. The dining area is huge and you can eat on the outdoor patio to get the most of the view offered. I was here last year to eat with my soon to be finance and we both loved it. I would love to go back and eat on the patio.
I felt this restaurant was overpriced for the small portions. The quality of the food was good and staff was friendly. I will no be going back because it cost about $20 for my noodles that were about the size of a small lunch portion.
Great band playing in the bar! Really fun!
disappointed at food quality for Sunday Brunch. cost is $49 per person. desserts were store bought (Pies and Cookies), Eggs Benedict were mediocre........I could not cut the English Muffin with a knife!! Salad was the Spring Mix available at the store. Staff was excellent, place was elegant, but the food did not match up value for price
The hostess, Debbie, was overly helpful, knowledgeable and just plain great
Too much money spent for only five bites of not so great food.
Great
Really cool place! Food us a bit pricy. Nice hiking nearby.
Oh, the view is so beautiful!
Loved the setting. Loved the food. Great selection that everyone would be happy with. And you can't top endless Mimosas!
Great steak, and service
The Inn was in a beautiful setting although it was quite busy. Not the best location if you are looking for a bit of r&r.
2017 Valentine's dinner ... Food was blah! We went last year and the food was wonderful as was the service. This year was a huge disappointment!
Decent selection of good for thise tlwith dietary concerns (gluten free, dairy free) with great mountain views.
Brunch is awesome!
Wonderfully delicous buffet and a beautiful view from the deck outside!
Loved the food and the views! We even got to watch fireworks on the large deck after eating. Definitely will be back.
Mediocre food, exorbitant prices and super slow service. But aside from that, no complaints!
Insane food omg i almost kissed it
Went to have brunch and very good, price good, and service very good. Would go again.
Excellent
Putting some deferred maintenance aside, this is a super, duper resort.
Good breakfast buffet! Great people!
Food was excellent. Service was ok/good but there were some snafus that were "appropriately" handled by management. We will definitely eat there again. And, the view from back deck is one of the best in town.
food service and buffet option were both great. servers were a bit discombobulated, at one point we had four different people waiting on us... mad things a little awkward, but was still good.
Service is always excellent here. I was a little disappointed that on New year's day they didn't have a very good selection of food for their buffet. Noticeably prime rib and shrimp were missing.
Food was ok great views
I loved the mini fruit tarts and Ron the waiter was very nice and pleasure
Mesmerizing place.Love the place.
Fine food, slow service. Good, but not great in any regard.
Both my wife and I ended up with upset stomachs after three days eating here.
Their view is very beautiful and i enjoyed to eat their
Great food. Loved their Rueben sandwich. Staff very helpful and friendly.
I love the mountain view restaurant. It's clean, professional, and friendly. The view is amazing while you eat. Its a little pricey but you get exactly what you pay for.
Got food poisoning!
Not open for no reason at all web site shows that the buffet was open till 2 pm .nobody could offer a reason.... Drove all the way there no go !!!!
Nice
The food was amazing, I had the chicken avocado and it was fantastic. The overall scenery was beautiful. However, when I asked questions to the staff they seemed like they were in a hurry and answered my questions very generally, they didn’t seem willing to help or uninterested. And since my boyfriend and I are of Mexican/Hispanic culture we seemed very ostracized, lots of the other customers gave us very unwelcoming looks and we were not greeted by the majority of the staff like other customers and guests. The waiter we had was very polite, though he did forget about our drinks orders and I had to remind him. However he did seem very pushy about us getting the buffet even though that’s not what we wanted. Overall we ignored the ostracized feeling and enjoyed our meal and the scenic view.
There is no way to describe how special they make you feel. The amount of food they present is almost overwhelming. We moved away, then years later moved to the Boulder area and made it a tradition to return there for Mother's Day Brunch. My favorite dish was the cheese blitzes which they no longer have but had crepes instead. It was fun to relive memories of when our daughter (now moved away) went there with us. The food and service are still excellent and I would highly recommend a visit.
A small little place. Good food. Nice staff. Very family oriented.
Beautiful facility Unfortunately a little beyond my budget
We'll be back!
Attended the breakfast buffet with a large group from work. Food, atmosphere, and service were great. Good selection of hot food, sweets, fresh fruit, made to order omelettes & waffles, etc. Coffee and juice included in the $19.99 buffet price.
Great view, good food.
Bad service
Great food and service.
The Mountain View Restaurant leaves a lot to be desired this Valentines Day. For 26 years my husband and I have looked forward to our table by the window and the elegant tablecloths an overall environment of luxury. Tonight though is putting me in the mind of a up graded country buffet. No frills on the decor for Valentines day. A dark drab place where the staff no longer stop to chat. The familiar faces that remembered our names are gone. So on our 26 Wedding Anniversary I am desperately looking for a more more elegant dining experience for our future celebrations. (Just dont know if the New Management is in tune)
Great location and hospitality. Great things to do while staying here.
Cool
The Sunday and holiday buffets cannot be beat. Comfortable, scenic, and good service too.
Quiet and big screen watching soccer was grest
I took my fiancé to this restaurant for her Birthday. I ordered a bottle of wine and the server appeared to not be trained in opening a bottle because the table shook as she opened it and it popped off like a bottle of champagne. The entire experience was rushed with food coming right after our salad. My fiancé had the duck with balsamic reduction, yet the sauce was more like sweet grape sauce. The garnish seemed rudimentary with a flower and grapes just thrown on the plate. Mine was elk bolognese which tasted more like chef Boyardi beef with noddles. Finally, the birthday desert with a candle came out while we were still mid through eating dinner. The restaurant's service and food did not match the appearance that it showed. I was definitely looking forward to a very romantic evening and birthday with my fiancé only to be greatly disappointed.
Outstanding food and services
Great local place with wonderful options
One of best brunches ever
Our server Ron was one of the best servers we have had! He is so attentive and on top of our needs he was wonderful. 5 stars for him!!! We had dinner with our kids 11 and 9. They ordered chicken tenders and Macaroni and cheese. The chicken tenders had so much pepper in them and the Mac anc cheese tasted like fish. We ordered a kids cheese pizza and it tasted like the dumped a bottle of pepper flakes on it. Our kids ended up eating our elks meat and bolanganse, which was wonderful but not great after ordering kids meals for them. Seems like a great local place for people that are retired and from the area. Most definitely for loyal local clientele. It was ok if it was an adult only situation. NOT recommended for kids until the kitchen can get their spice issues under control.
My wife and I showed up just after the buffet closed, which was fine because they still served Ala carte. Our server Benjamin was very rude and snooty to my wife about her order. Then pretty much disapeared. After waiting for 40 minutes for our food, we decided to give up. I don't mind waiting for good food, but there was literally nobody else in there. Beautiful views, terrible service.
Amazing view and atmosphere. It could be a professional or romantic venue. We had a goodbye luncheon here, and it was perfect. The food is flavorful and there are great choices for the adventurous or "safer" eaters. Elk and Bison choices are served on the lunch menu, and the lunch buffet was very well prepared and had awesome choices.
Amazing food and awesome service. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a delicious and relaxing meal!
Breakfast buffet had decent vegetarian options. Food was of very good quality. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Beautiful view, and wonderful food for the Mother’s Day Brunch. Our interactions with the staff included Kehlon (sp?), Nicholle and Jeremy, who I believe was a manager. Excellent and attentive service, even after the check had been paid. Our coffee, waters and especially the mimosas were always full. Our first time here, won’t be our last!
Friendly and caring staff, awesome mountain ambiance with a gorgeous view, good food. Great presentation of food at the lunch buffet. I went there a little under the weather (getting over a bad cold), and they accommodated my special request for tea and a simple hot soup even though the soup was not on the menu.
Nice food but like someone said earlier,it felt so rushed
Million dollars view just need to pay for a cup of coffee!
Great place to eat.
Beautiful place, close to lots to do, and incredible view!
Food was delicious and staff were attentive and friendly!
The food was delicious and the staff was amazing! We celebrated our anniversary and they made it special for us. A truly enjoyable experience! We will surely return.
Great view, pricey everything, descent restaurant.
Everything you need and more
Comfortable restaurant with excellent service. Food was good, but did not live up to the very high price. View was more suburb than mountain.
Food is fantastic!
I really wanted to like this establishment but was left wanting. First the positive, the view and the ambience is great. First class place with the accouterments to support it. Service was fast and thorough (with a caveat later) although the crowd was sparse so service should have been good. Now the negative, the majority of the food was military dining facility quality with the exception of the fruit whereas the fresh berries were excellent. The biscuits were the consistency of hockey pucks and the scrambled eggs were the consistency of oatmeal. Further the menu stated omelet station, pancakes, waffles and smoked salmon, None of which were present. And when we inquired the waitress stated she could get those things for us but by then everyone had eaten. Maybe a statement upfront that those items are available by request should be implemented. For $25 a plate I don't think that is too much too ask for. Again nice place not so great food. Go for coffee and a Danish if you really want to experience the ambience, other than that there are much better dining experiences to be had.
Dissatisfied with the food and taste. Quite surprised because last year the food was delicious.
Outstanding food. I ate there three times, two breakfasts and dinner. The breakfast and dinner buffets are most excellent.
Great date night! Love their Holiday buffet! We return every year!
Wedding party. Service was quick and accurate. Would use for events again
Great Food, Outstanding Staff, and Beautiful Views. I've been to CMR for an event, but never the restaurant. I had the daily lunch buffet, which was top-notch. The food was excellent! The staff friendly and helpful. It was awesome to talk to the chef, who was equally cheerful and friendly. And a fantastic view to top it off. Only complaint I heard from anyone was the the cookies were hard. Meh, no big; there was like a million other dessert to choose from. Hopefully, with new management they continue the buffet.
Awesome resort with very nice architecture
Beautiful view, brunch buffet was so so.
Best views on then Rockies... outdoor seating availible. Buffet and a la card possible
Very small selection for the breakfast buffet for the cost. Worst biscuits and gravy I've ever had.
Best food in town
In an empty restaurant it took 10 minutes for wait staff to greet me and give water. It took numerous attempts to get my waitresses attention in, once again, an empty restaurant when I wanted my check. Food was ok. I normally dont give bad reviews but staff doesnt look like they want to be here. I recommend to go somewhere else.
Best view, food and service for spectacular brunch.
Great view of the mountains, buffet was overpriced for the options.
Spectacular views!
Buffett and omelette was mediocre. Waiter was great. Saved the day by getting us a waffle after the "chef" turned off the waffle irons 20 minutes before the buffet closed.
Bedt place for breakfast
Too high of a price for just okay food.
Great food, atmosphere and customer service
Food was awesome
Great view, nice service!
I've never had a sweet potato hash that good in my life! The service was A+ the moment I walked inside, and even the patrons were friendly.
Buffet has really declined! They used to have both sides of the buffet full of food and a special at the kitchen window. The salad bar used to have cottage cheese, potato salad, pasta salad, beets, etc. but it no longer has any of those items at lunch. They have fewer proteins and when we brought family who were visiting for the Saturday buffet, they had no type of potato or starch at all. The desert bar only had pecan pie and cherry pie with a few miniature eclairs, along with their ice cream. I asked our server why they changed the buffet for the worse and he said that they were bought out and the new owners have changed it. Sad, we used to come here 8-12 times a year. Not anymore. You don't get to change the quantity and quality of selection while retaining the same price.
Great food and service
Nice place for a good meal. Great views from the window tables.
Highly recommend for staying in Colorado Springs! Pet friendly too!
Didn't really like that place
i worked the site for the holiday...but super pretty. some of the members are pretty stuck up...but that might be bc i worked there. lake, pool, tennis, golf, instructors
