Do not come to this restaurant if your BLACK! I came here with my family for FATHER'S DAY and was WAITED OUT SERVICE! MEANING I WAS NOT HELPED UNTIL I OPENED MY MOUTH AND ASKED IN SPANISH FOR SOMEONE TO HELP ME! 2 tables had already been sat and assisted prior to me asking for help! A total of an hour wait for a party of 4 only for cold food and unappealing meals came to the table. I DIDN'T EVEN EAT! I EXPRESSED MY ANGER WITH DISPLEASURE IN SPANISH. THE STAFF WAS SURPRISED SHOCKED THAT I KNEW THE LANGUAGE AND ADVISE ME THE KITCHEN WORKED SLOW BUT I DIDN'T WANT TO HEAR THAT BC THE 2 TABLES RECEIVED THEIR FOOD HOT AND STEAMING BEFORE MY 1 HOUR OF WAITING WAS COMPLETE. I WILL NEVER SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I'LL TAKE MY HARD WORKING MONEY ELSEWHERE. AND PRAYTHEY NEVER JUDGE A BLACK BOOK BY ITS COVER AGAIN. I BELIEVE A ZERO RATING IS BETTER THAN THE 1 IM BEING FORCED TO GIVE.

Loved this place until a visit on the 25th. Maybe new cooks? Maybe didn't care? Who knows. The carnitas that I always ordered from them looked like over cooked brains and not like carnitas. They got my husband's order wrong the first time and when they corrected it, halfway Into the burrito there was hair and what looked like lint mixed Into the cheese. Very disgusting! We will not be going back here. Lost a loyal customer.

The food here is really very good. Everything tastes fresh, and the portions are large and generous. I've never had anything bad here. If you're looking for good Mexican food in the area, the food here is 5 stars. That's assuming you're taking it to go. The reason I gave 3 stars and not 5 is because eating here, the music is painfully loud. It's ridiculous how loud. They use PA speakers that are designed for outside use, and they have them blasting! You can't hear the person across from you speaking. Everyone is yelling to be heard, so every time the music stops between songs you hear everyone still yelling. It's chaotic and extremely uncomfortable. I've been sitting here with headphones and nothing playing just to lower the volume, and I still am developing a headache. I've asked twice to have the music turned down, and they'll turn it down a bit, then someone else will come and turn it back up. It's a shame, because I really do enjoy their food, but I don't think I'll come back to dine in.

The service here is horrible, the lady who took our order, didnt write down anything we ordered, and Im not surprised when she messed up our order like no other. I am American, but I lived in MEXICO for 6 years before, and I just want to let you know, that theres a time for business, and a time for Fun and Games, and every minute of the day is not a proper time for Loud Music. But, it seems Mexico doesn't understand the difference of the two, which is probably a good reason why their country is in the shape its in, and why they all want to come here to USA, and why I left there, even though I had a house with pacific ocean view...but it still SUCKED....good for a few years...but man, its time to get serious sometimes, ya know ?

Cam here on a recommendation by a local who said the food was fantastic. The person who recommended this place obviously hadn't had good Mexican food. Now, I've lived in Texas, Arizona and Colorado. I've been to many different parts of Mexico and while in that country I have had some of the best food I've ever tasted. Los Toritos does not reflect that tradition. You know how it's claimed that you know a good ethnic food restaurant when the local culture eats there? This was that place. We walked in and the tables were full of local Mexicans. And the food wasn't that great. Heck, at one point the waitress told us one of the dishes was "chicken, shrimp and hot dogs." I asked my companion, "Did I hear that right? Hot dogs?" Sure enough, our appetizer (which we didn't know) had hot dogs mixed in with bacon and chicken. Not that hod dogs are bad and not that hot dogs can't be a protein added to a meal, but when I want hot dogs, I don't go to a Mexican restaurant. My friend ordered a mocajate dish and I ordered super (mixed meat) fajitas on recommendation from the waitress. My dish had fish fillet, shrimp and chicken along with just about everything you find in a fajita. Everything but tortilla shells. When I finally asked for some I was charged extra for them. I've ordered mocajate dishes before and they have usually come with a large serving of cheese and cream sauce. My companions did not have much in the way of cheese or sauce. However, the portions were good and what I did eat was fairly good, it just wasn't great. It definitely wasn't anything to write home about or return to this particular restaurant for.

good food....but your music is WAY TOO LOUD for LUNCH at a restaurant...I was in a business meeting with two potential electrical contractors and basically had to SCREAM across the table at them thru the entire lunch, explaining our business to them...Whats WRONG with you people ? I am American, but I lived in MEXICO for 6 years before, and I just want to let you know, that theres a time for business, and a time for Fun and Games, and every minute of the day is not a proper time for Loud Music. But, it seems Mexico doesn't understand the difference of the two, which is probably a good reason why their country is in the shape its in, and why they all want to come here to USA, and why I left there, even though I had a house with pacific ocean view...but it still SUCKED....good for a few years...but man, its time to get serious sometimes, ya know ?

Cam here on a recommendation by a local who said the food was fantastic. The person who recommended this place obviously hadn't had good Mexican food. Now, I've lived in Texas, Arizona and Colorado. I've been to many different parts of Mexico and while in that country I have had some of the best food I've ever tasted. Los Toritos does not reflect that tradition. You know how it's claimed that you know a good ethnic food restaurant when the local culture eats there? This was that place. We walked in and the tables were full of local Mexicans. And the food wasn't that great. Heck, at one point the waitress told us one of the dishes was "chicken, shrimp and hot dogs." I asked my companion, "Did I hear that right? Hot dogs?" Sure enough, our appetizer (which we didn't know) had hot dogs mixed in with bacon and chicken. Not that hod dogs are bad and not that hot dogs can't be a protein added to a meal, but when I want hot dogs, I don't go to a Mexican restaurant. My friend ordered a mocajate dish and I ordered super (mixed meat) fajitas on recommendation from the waitress. My dish had fish fillet, shrimp and chicken along with just about everything you find in a fajita. Everything but tortilla shells. When I finally asked for some I was charged extra for them. I've ordered mocajate dishes before and they have usually come with a large serving of cheese and cream sauce. My companions did not have much in the way of cheese or sauce. However, the portions were good and what I did eat was fairly good, it just wasn't great. It definitely wasn't anything to write home about or return to this particular restaurant for.

I won't say race played a part, but sure felt that way. Service was horrible to put it mildly. I'll never be back! I know my review may not get anyone to stop patronizing this place, but if I can save anyone the expense of wasting time and/or money, then it's worth every word!! 0 stars if that were a possibility!

The food was great. Had the fajitas supreme which came with steak, chicken and shrimp. The steak was very well prepared. Not chewy at all, and the chicken wasn't dry. The shrimp on the other hand were kinda bland and relatively tasteless. Our server was nice but she was completely out of it. She didn't pay much attention to our table. Came to visit maybe once while we were eating. The food was quick to arrive and it was sizzling hot. I think overall it is a great place to dine in. Food isn't expensive and the restaurant itself has a nice Mexican feel to it.

I love this place. The girls that waitress there are just so nice to be around and the food is really authentic and seasoned just perfect. They serve warm tortillas chips and salsa. To our surprise the seafood is always very fresh and the margaritas served on the rocks are not overly sweet. Over all a very great experience almost every time. There is a cook that is there sometimes that always messes up my dishes when he is cooking. Hopefully you don't end up on his shift. We have only had it happen twice in over a 6 yrs period of time so you should be good to go.

The decor is like maybe they owner also has a tile/lighting business, it’s all pieced together oddly. Anyway, it’s a clean, cheap, and tasty little Mexican diner on Colfax.

I visited this restaurant on Friday night. I read all the reviews and even though someone saw a roach and another person said they were not clean, I gave it a chance. The night started with being seated in the back, horrible place to eat and the smell was not great either. It was almost like eating in a cellar. My party placed our order and we had a good time singing karaoke. When the food came, I noticed the green Chile was thick, which I thought was odd but the taste was just ok. I then tried the refried beans....they were horrible and cold! I have never been to a Mexican restaurant with beans with a taste I could not describe. I chose not to continue to eat the beans and rice, because I didnt want to get sick. However, the tamales and chicken enchilada smothered with green chile were not bad, the red sauce was horrendous. The fajitas were good. After we ate the part of the dinner that was edible, we sat, talk and continued to sing karaoke. While we were were waiting to pay our tab...a MOUSE scurried across the floor!! I quickly found my party and we ran out! Gross! Eat at your own risk! I'm worried that I may get sick due to stomach poisoning tomorrow!
