Amazing people friendly staff. Dynamite food. Very regal and such a comfortable setting. I recommend stopping in..again and again
Great service and the food is great! We always hang out here every week and holidays. Love Jess, she is our bartender and she is great! Very friendly and fun. Claire is the owner and she's great! Recommend this restaurant any day!!!!!
It seemed to take quite a while to get our food but the waitress was friendly and accommodating and the food was good. The escargot was very good as was the chicken pasta. The shrimp in the seafood etoufee tasted a little bit off but it was good otherwise. We'd choose to eat here again if we could afford it.
So my wife got chicken fettuccine, unfortunately the Raw chicken! Raw chicken! Was in a puddle of what looked like toilet water. ( no resemblance to sauce) with a side of uncooked onion for only 26 bucks! There was about 3-1 oz chicken size pieces..which was not pink but fricken raw!!! i had 4 half dollar size frozen lobster ravioli in decent tasting suace for 30.00 what a absolute joke and rip off!! I Wish i could give 0 stars. Shame on you!! Run do not believe the 4 stars the table next to us said there was horrible also as they left.
Food and service was awesome. First time here. Will be back.
My husband and I went to this restaurant for date night. We were not impressed. The food was not very good. Super expensive. And there wasn't much on the plate. The waitress was nice but the other staff was rude. The bread and butter was cold and hard .My friends and I will not be returning.
Always a good choice and friendly staff
The Bouillabaisse was delicious, the coffee was great and the food was all over decent. Very expensive for some of the entrees ans appetizers for what you get. The cocktail was really delicious, even if the price was over the top. The food takes awhile to get out, but what really knocked down another star was the flies. Its suppose to be a fairly upscale place, and if you're spending $35/plate there shouldn't be flies in your face the entire time.
Outstanding food and service in a charming setting.
Excellent service, great food, comfortable. We thought it was worth it and will return.
Overpriced and disappointing we ordered the crepe Suzette and it was like cardboard the rest of the food was okay.
Really nice meal and our server Anne was fantastic..
The best food in Grand Junction. Patrice and staff put together an amazing plate.
Fablous food and great service- the gnocchi was wonderful, the escargot superb, beautiful scallops and topped it off with out of this world dessert Chocolate Turmine, if you are in GJ do go_
Always a Great time.
Great food!!
Wine bar rocks, great atmosphere! Approachable owner and staff.
Love the Ahi Tuna meal or appetizers
This restaurant has been one of our favorites in GJ. However, tonight was an utter disappointment. All six of our meals were not good. Two of us had scallops and they were lukewarm and undercooked. The rice was barely lukewarm as well as the vegetable. My husband had the steak and it was all gristle on the outside. Two others in our party had tuna and asked it for it rare. There was no sign of pink anywhere in the little strips of tuna on their plate. The server was unattentive and didn't seem interested in serving us. She wasn't aware of the menu when asked questions. She said she had just got back from vacation so she didn't know. Sadly we will not ever return to this restaurant. We'll be going back to The Winery restaurant down the street where they know how to cook their food and the service is amazing.
Not bad for a dinner but a bit overpriced. The filet mignon I had was a bit tougher than what you can expect for that price. Too salty. French and Americans never quite got along.
The owner is so incredibly rude. We had a table reserved and fortunately in the back next to a window that you could view the dishwashers and we were serenaded bye the music they are listening to (Eminem) on top of the nice piano music. We asked to be moved to another table and were informed by the owner that the other two tables had reservations also. The worst part is even by the time we were done eating the two tables was still empty.
Busy downtown eatery. Nice bar that is well stocked. The wait staff are busy but always friendly and attentive. The food is also very tasty. The space is a bit smallish but the environment is downtown relaxed and not loud.
We had a reservation for 8pm last night. We sat in what I think was the lounge area with the small tables in the back. Admittedly the tables were slightly uncomfortable BUT! My wife and I had the greatest time! Your waitresses were more than amazing! And the scallops! Oh my lord those delicious scallops! They were single handedly the best scallops I’ve ever personally had in my life (I lived and worked on the water for over 5 years of my life prior to joining the military in 2014) they were so tender and juicy and exploding with flavor. Not to discount the lobster tail (not nearly as great as the scallops but for Colorado lobster tail it was phenomenal!) and the (what I assume was a dry aged) steak was equally delicious. I want to thank you for making our 3rd Valentine’s Day since we married the best one so far! We will be making reservations again very very soon and celebrating more life events with you at Le Rouge!!!
Great atmosphere and wonderful bar staff. Marie is the best!
OH MY GOODNESS - The balsamic martini... I'm drooling just thinking about one! SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!
This place does not deserve to be called a French restaurant. Service was terrible and for two entrees it took over an hour and a half - we wanted to try out desert too but they wouldn’t come to get the order so decided to go inside and pay and leave. The food is horrible, an embarrassment to French cuisine. The bread and butter were cold and tasted old. We had coq au vin and the seafood pasta - the chicken seemed to be cooked days before and it was dry, no hearty wine sauce with it, the pasta was good but seafood was not fresh and it was frozen (old) and in addition to it, they took out the clams and put in salmon which I didn’t like - the sauce in the pasta was bland. For visiting Grand Junction and coming here as a highly recommended place, this was a disappointment. This place needs either a makeover or it needs to be shut down!
First time there the food was great and service was fantastic I will go back
Lovely romantic atmosphere with great food and a full cocktail menu and local wines. Try to be there when the piano player is on tap... very nice!
Wonderful dinner, wine, and service.
Le Rouge has a lovely bar for intimate conversation. Old silent movies play on the TV's which gives the place a whimsical romantic feel.
Their Happy Hour from 4-6 is the best in town! They now have a crepe menu which includes savory or sweet crepes. The best idea on town! They are delicious, healthy and reasonable priced.
Wicked! Loved the food and the ambience.
Great service and good place to eat.
We even didn't eat in that restaurant....de boss/cook was so drunk he could even speak properly.Disgusting.. The next day I past this restaurant before dinner time and he was already drinking again on his terrace.
Delicious!
Fantastic place.
Excellent food, drinks, wine and service
The food was bad and over priced. Got food poisoning from the muscles. Will not go back !
Good French food in a downtown Grand Junction stand by
Excellent service and food!!!
A/C set much to high. Server argued with one of our dinner guests that the guest didn't fully advise him on diet restructions. He should have simply corrected the order. A second drink order was never offered. We asked if the check could be split. Our family was four and we invited two friends to join us. He said he would split it even though they weren't suppose to. When the bill came it was split four and two but the tip was already added in. I asked why and was told that we were at a table for six and that's what counted. We also had extremely slow service. There was nothing special about the food and the plating was ordinary. What I thought was interesting was that they ran out of one of the specials at the beginning of the dinner service. Le Rouge was a fair restaurant when we first started going there but I feel It's loosing It's way. Since Junction only has three fine dining restaurants I will be sorry to loose one of them.
Terrible service (ignored by staff, forgotten drinks, no side plates or steak knife, very slow) and mediocre food. The beef bourguinon was more like an Irish soup with a watery broth than a stew, and it lacked the signature mushrooms and pearl onions. Definitely a disappointment.
So, this is a French restaurant. I expected pretentious and expensive. What I got was much worse than that. I ordered the Scallops Ratatouille. My husband ordered the Rack of Lamb (16 oz.) - medium well (he'd never had lamb before), and our son ordered the Seafood Pasta dish. We weren't asked if we'd like to order drinks. We weren't asked if we wanted appetizers or salads. What I got was 3 scallops in some sort of Chunky Ragu spaghetti sauce - literally tasted as acidic and disgusting as jarred Ragu. This was $28. My husband's lamb came out Medium Rare and so disgustingly tough it was like eating $2/lb meat. And, yes, I tried a bite. Awful! That was $43. Our son's pasta dish was very good. I wouldn't eat here again.
The lamb was amazing.
Wonderful. Gets busy due to popularity but worth it if you like great food & great service & make reservations.
This restaurant is okay if you keep your expectations low. Our server was brand-new and she was very sweet. Food I ordered wasn't great, and I returned it for steak frites. They sliced my steak for me, which I think is an issue.
Expensive, but good cocktails.
Love the martinis, best Caesar salad in town. Great atmosphere. Go to date night or girls night spot!
The alcohol selection and drinks are outstanding! And they must have gotten a new chef as this is the best place I've eaten a medium rare steak since the Bistro and 626 have gone down hill. Service is very nice, sweet little French girls FROM FRANCE. Artwork and ambience of the restaurant is relaxing while being modern and slightly classic. This has got to be one of my most favorite locations in town.
Ambiance and dinner was great!
A great place for a nice glass of wine, friendly people and good food.
I can't really rate this restaurant more than 1 star because I stood there with my wife for quite some time waiting for a host. There didn't appear to be a host and there was no sign that said "wait to be seated" or "seat yourself". They should have a sign that says "figure it out for yourself". It was kind of like trying to get someone at Home Depot to look at you when you need help. After some time of standing there and being invisible to everyone who worked there, we finally walked next door to Pablo's Pizza.
Love this place
Awesome cocktails and sociable staff. The bar staff is always great but I will never order at a table again. came in for my graduation dinner and it was an utter disappointment. We booked 5 weeks in advance and weren't even seated at a full service table. I understand when a restaurant is busy but it took 2 hours to even get an appetizer let alone the entrees. The entrees were ok at best, with dry chicken and imroperly cooked steak and duck, this may be biased given the additional hour wait for the food but it was not appetizing at the time. When the owner opened the back door while it was frigid outside and then complained about my brother "being rude" by asking if if he could close the door half way I was done with the whole experience. I also found out that the chef was drunk the whole time from several regulars that stopped by to chat and was told repeatedly that "oh, sorry we forget your back here." It was even more of a disappointment given the fact that I ran into several friends while there. To be fair the sever was delightful and apologetic. To top off the night a 20% gratuity was included automatically with the full price after having to ask where the appetizers were and the apps were given for free to friends of mine at the bar while I was standing there. We we're then told they were out of our order; which we switched and waited another 45 min for. My whole table was pleasant throughout and I feel as though that was taken advantage of.
Thanks
Took my mom here for dinner. It's a really unique atmosphere and great dining. Expensive but very worth it. Great cocktails, I will be going back.
The food was just super low quality and unappealing. This was after a 45 minute wait too. :(
Excellent food and atmosphere not to mention the staff is all heart and amazing at what they do.
Excellent food and service . Wine list is incredible. Recommend it highly.
Great atmosphere and decent drinks!
Loved it
Amazing happy hour!
So delicious and great service. Special menu for the wine fest and they nailed it.
Interesting venue with awesome food
Unbelievable! The escargot with blue cheese is brilliant. Anna was an excellent server. You must go here.
Service takes a long time, but they're friendly and the atmosphere is nice.
Amazing ROCKSTAR bartender and mixilogist! Jessica was on point!
Great experience here! The food was absolutely amazing, the service was sparse, which is typical to a French restaurant.. But the server was very knowledgeable and friendly enough.
We like Le Rouge for dinks probably more then we do for dinner. Their drinks are great and there is a unique atmosphere.
Marcy is great!! I said I did not go Le Rouge I was next door at Posh.
We stopped by in hopes of a good meal. Due to the poor disrespectful service at the bar I will not set foot in that place again. The owner and staff were clueless. Go to Pablo's and enjoy the pizza.
We ordered the escargother as an appetizer, I didn't know what to expect, but "Oh my gosh," it was so good! For Entrees we ordered Sea Bass and Medium Rare Roasted Duck and both entrees were so delicious and we savored each bite! For dessert we decided on the Blackberry Lavender Creme Brulee, oh my gosh, you must order this dessert don't contemplate it, just do it! Le Rouge is an amazing restaurant, if you have extra cash you must visit this place!
French restaurant nestled in Grand Junctions downtown scene. Outdoor patio, large cocktail and wine selections. Service is friendly and owner makes their way around too. Bummer is food is mediocre at best. Not a bad stop for a drink and outdoor service.
Delicious dessert, perfect date location!
I come here for special romantic occasions. It never fails. Exotic Cocktails, Traditional French appetizers and fantastic Entrees served by a fun staff. Many will speak French with you too.
If your looking for a high class, amazing cuisine restaurant this place is the place to go!! Went for Valentine's day it was perfect!
This place is absolutely wonderful. Me and my boyfriend loved it, not only was the service great, but the food and beverage was astounding. Well worth it if you're wanting a beautiful dining experience with great food. I'm bringing my parents there this evening! Guaranteed to please. Thank you!!!
Stopped in expecting it to be one of GJs better restaurants. The food was decent but not worth the price. My wife and I both got drinks and both were maybe a 3 or 4 out of 10. Not the best but not the worst. The food was a 4 or 5 tops out of 10. Over priced and the steak was burned a little which gave it a charred taste. Server was nice. Beautify decorated. But by no means worth money.
