Great crepes! Quick efficient service! Kids love it here.
Very good food owned by friendly people. My omelette was excellent, as was my daughter's salad and my son's sandwich. The owner kindly came by and spoke in French with my daughter. We would definitely return.
Eight of us ordered a variety from the menu: crepes as well as sandwiches on baguettes and croissants. Everyone loved their meal and wants to go back. The staff was wonderful. They even surprised us with a special free dessert for the guest of honor. We also appreciated that they offered the option of separate checks, unlike other restaurants where they act like its a big deal and try to shame you for asking.
Food was good, ambiance lacking. Way too loud. Hear every sound in the kitchen and everyone yelling even though it was not crowded when we ate here.
It's an awesome, authentic little French cafe. Food is fresh and very French. Take away fresh croissants, or desert.
Disappointed. Croq' Madame was nothing special, the buckwheat crepes were just not good. The mussels were really good.
Tasty food! Great to have a French place in Boulder.
Terrific food and owners who really care about their customers.
Extremely delicious, you won't regret it.
Perhaps the most lovely service I have experienced in Boulder was this morning at Le French Cafe. The crepes and omelettes were perfect, and the atmosphere charming. With a fresh and not overwrought menu, a playful while low key vibe, and delightful service, Le French Cafe is a welcome and refreshing addition to the Boulder restaurant scene.
Great food and people
A béchamel sauce to die for , and that's just the beginning . Did I mention the true French roast coffee? This is the real deal. The outdoor patio is a great place to meet people. Wow!!
Love!
At first I was going to do for starters, because it felt a little strange as far as customer service. But after having their chocolate chip twist and finishing my cappuccino, I changed my mind. It doesn’t feel weird, it feels like a small town French cafe - authentic.
I would rate it zero stars if I could. I guess if you like over priced underwhelming food served by the worst staff this is the place to eat. We made the mistake of trying this place for my girlfriends birthday breakfast and we walked out very upset. One of the cooks was even smoking cigarettes next to the front door forcing everyone to walk through his cloud of disgusting smoke as they entered. Save yourself from all of this and just go to Caribou Coffee around the corner.
Hidden spot worth a visit! bright inviting space with full breakfast service. Staff was kind and inviting. Omelettes looked good. My crepe and almond croissant were great.
Don’t walk... RUN to this wonderful restaurant. The food and the people are incredible and unpretentious. The restaurant is decorated in a fun yet relaxing way. Truly a boulder gem.
Great food and setting! Likey!
Perhaps a bit expensive . . . but worth every penny.
Nice environment and great authentic food.
Great little cafe; fun and friendly atmosphere. We wanted something light so we got salads- wow! What a great selection...two of the best salads we’ve had in years.
Just wonderful. To be able to get proper patisserie outside of France is a real treat. And the service is great, too.
Excellent food and service. High quality bakery.
The baguette sandwiches are crispy and delicious, and everyone treats you as family, genuinely happy to see you...the friendliest place in Boulder. After one visit, it rose to the top of the list.
Delicious crepes with gluten free options are my favorite, but everything is delicious!
Excellent food and fantastic staff. Very casual. Our server was one of the owners, and she was super friendly and fun to talk with. We ate outside on the deck, which was quite pleasant.
Great food.
Best croissants ever! Love this place!
Nice place for the morning and great staff
Magnifique!! Wow. Food was delicious and atmosphere is warm and inviting. The French onion soup was fabulous!!
Best restaurant in town!!! Amazing food and people.
The food was great and the coffee was delicious!
Scrumptious homestyle cooking. Buckwheat crepes (gluten free). Luxurious salads that really are a full entree. Charming ambiance and cozy, welcoming family business. Definitely a winner!
Lovely place. French speaker’s add to the Parisian cafe atmosphere. Nice outdoor patio.
Really lovely, local cafe. Came here for lunch last week. There quiche was delicious, and everyone else who I was with thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well (sandwiches and savory crepes). Service was really great and the food came out very quickly. The perfect place to grab a quick bite for lunch!
I love the crepes in here even without cream. You should the best Quiche Jambon et Champignons with well cooked potato. I love all their desert but they are not selling various macarons anymore. Owner is super nice and incredibly friendly. I love their services as well.
The absolute best. Ignore the cheesy name, this cafe reminds me of the cafes in Paris. The food is excellent and fresh, and I would highly recommend. The prices are about $15 a person and everything was delicious. I would recommend the crepes and the croque monsieur.
Really great food quality, with super friendly staff and owners. One of my favorite brunch places in Boulder area. Tried many things on the menu with many authentic French favorites. Love the tartines with French baguette
Fantastic salads in a place with very few salad options. Owner definitely cares about her customers too. Lovely!
Very authentic French fare in a casual and friendly cafe.
Try the chicken sandwich on baguette.
The food was amazing. Reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Great little spot. The decorating was as basic and inauthentic as the name and logo. Overall a real cute and nice place though.
The crepes are fantastic!!
Just got an almond croissant, it was aight
Wonderful hospitality here. We were a party of six and every single thing we ordered was presented beautifully - they could've been photos from a cookbook. The portions are huge, so you get plenty for the $12-15 you spend for lunch. I ordered a buckwheat crepe with tomatoes, onion, and red pepper, and the flavors were perfect. Simple, but not at all boring. And the crepe was light and not oily or too eggy. Also the best baguettes I've had in ages. Really a must visit.
Adorable, affordable, and awesome service.
My favorite restaurant in Boulder! The owner is super friendly and everyone in the store is always friendly and happy. And most of all, the food is excellent. My only qualm is that the coffee isn't my favorite.
The best croissants in town . Wow!
Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Everything I've had here from the quiche and croque Madame to the steak frites and beef bourguignon have been the best French dishes I've ever had. All the wines are from France and very well priced along with apple cider from Normandy. Le french cafe repeatedly beats out every other French restaurant I've been to and always at an incredibly reasonable price.
I love this place so much I have become a regular. They brighten up my morning with their happy faces and delicious pastries.
Lovely staff and good vegetarian options.
This restaurant is very delicious and authentically French! I love eating here because the wait staff is always so helpful, happy and friendly! They also have amazing food! (Try the Tuna Sandwich I personally think it is the best in Boulder!)
Everything tastes like more. The salad, the sandwiches and the desserts. Chocolate chip croissant. Ymmmy!
The employees and the owner are all so friendly and the food is worth ever penny. Great atmosphere, plan to become a regular.
I little bit of France in Boulder! Everything is good, but the salads and desserts are fabulous!
Consistently good, based good are divine.
This place is the best! Kid friendly too!
We bought the ham & cheese, spinach & ricotta, bacon & egg, chocolate, almond chocolate and regular croissant here. Soooo flaky and butter, such good flavor! They were all EXCELLENT. My favorite savory croissant was the ham & cheese; my favorite sweet was the almond. Also bought a latte and it was very very tasty. We’re definitely making this place our weekend brunch tradition! (Pic is a little pink due to plant lights)
The food was amazing. Everything we had and the service were at another level.
The food is absolutely amazing and the service is great as well. The people working there are incredible patient and kind and in my opinion, it is the best cafe in boulder!
First time there. Very good food n great service!!
Enjoyable afternoon. They are closed Monday.
Dank espresso, dank omelettes, free macaroons, no wait on a Sunday for brunch! This place is amazing and we will be coming back!! Thank you
Great food.
Quiche was one of the best ever. Service could use some work.
This place is heavenly. Like taking a mini French vacation midday. The crepes come in many varieties, all delicious. The sandwiches are large and hearty. I had the St Melo, which is a baguette with bacon, lettuce, tomato, & Swiss (I substituted Brie). Sooooo good. They have a variety of pastries, made in house too! The owner was training some new folks today. Switching from French to English and back again. Lots of the staff speak fluent French which is super helpful for some. This place was clean, beautifully decorated, well lit, and had inside and outside seating. A very pleasant vibe too. Perfect for a delicious breakfast or lunch. Or if you’re just picking up a baguette or pastries at the front counter to go. But definitely a must go if you’re hungry and appreciate a varied French breakfast and lunch menu.
Good food and good staff
Quiches and pastries are ON POINT. I'd come back for sure. Timely and responsive service. I'd come back for sure.
The latte was delicious and the food was great. Cute, quiet, and great atmosphere.
Fabulous! The best French onion soup this side of Paris... great broth, soft crunchy croutons, light guyere. Salads are stunning, using all imported French meats, they fry the mushrooms, and greens are fresh, crisp...topped with great French vinaigrette.. Enthusiastic, attentive, knowledgeable service.. cappuccino was rich, served hot! We can't wait to go back. This place is a real gem!
Great bread and coffee!
The best dang potatoes ever!
Tasty and authentic French cafe in the heart of Boulder. Great vibe from the young French owners.
I don’t normally review places, however, this place is amazing!! The food, pastries and macaroons are incredible and the owners are very nice and welcoming! I highly recommend if you want great good and a great experience.
Delicious! Great atmosphere and service!
My favorite restaurant in town! The owner is incredibly friendly and the menu is to die for. I take EVERYONE here. Super kid friendly, with a great patio. Amazing coffee! I wish I could live off the butter croissants! You must go here! I can’t put enough !!!!!!!
Horrifyingly rude counter staff. We walked out immediately. Avoid.
This place is a delight: the people are amazing and cheerful whilst the the food is delicious and flavorful~Wonderful to have a taste of French culture and a local patisserie!
Just amazing! Difficult when it's busy, but well worth it! French speakers welcome and encouraged!
Good simple food, great deserts, but sadly overpriced!
LOVE this place so much. The atmosphere and energy are warm and welcoming. The owner is wonderful and all of the food is to die for.
The place is lovely, the buckwheat crepes are really great - the pink-haired owner knows her stuff! Very reasonable pricing and very personable service - never regretted giving 20%+ tip. The special cappuccino was perfect - super smell and smooth taste, while the effect was lasting, great job, the barista!
The food is tasty, the staff are super friendly and welcoming, chill atmosphere. Fantastic place for crepes, tea, and pastries.
First time here. Delicious food and great service! Highly recommend it!!
Great place and atmosphere, I love that this restaurant is so welcoming. Sadly have to give less then 5 stars because of the oil soaked croissant that I will now have to throw away. Everything else has been phenomenal.
It's legit French.
This is the best place! I love their crepes and croissants! Very authentic. The family that owns and runs it are lovely and very warm and welcoming. My only hesitation is letting everyone in on the secret. Enjoy!
Food is AMAZING definitely go here if you are visiting and want great French food This is the place.
This place is quaint, beautiful, and probably the most delicious breakfast place in Boulder! The croissants are divine. The owners are kind and welcoming. Treat yourself.
A nice taste of France in Boulder with an authentic atmosphere and great food
A delicious breakfast or brunch option. Love the croques and the almond croissants!
I went there for the first time today, and the ambiance of this place is so nice. The food was very, very good and the americano was very strong. They have a surprisingly wide variety of meal options and lots of baked goods. Loved it!
I had a salad and espresso. The food was good and the owner/manager was really nice. The service on the other hand could be better.
I am French and picky about food. This place is nothing short of exceptional. The food is truly French, extremely generous portions, and delicious. You would never expect such a gem here. And the service is, well, true to form and on par with the food: genuinely, enthusiastically, nice! Everything on the menu is mouth watering. Go there or you will regret it forever!
Got a unique kind of green tea and a panini. Everything tasted great with the panini, however the green tea was not sweetened as requested. And the prices seem a little higher then average however one can expect as much from what feels like a small homely boutique-style Cafe.
Very clean, very friendly. The four of us had..... smoked salmon crepes = super yummy, just a smidge heavy on the onions..... brie and prosciutto sandwich = perfection..... chicken, tomato, prosciutto, egg sandwich served hot = Super yummy and we love the thyme on the roasted chicken..... salad with bacon, walnuts, tomato served with grilled bread with a (cream cheese?) spread and a dash of thyme = super yummy and the house dressing was not too sweet. Thank you for that. Ginger and peach iced tea was good, but not much peach flavor. White chocolate and raspberry mousse was lovely, but the triple chocolate mousse (white, semi and dark) is divine! Service is spot on..... prices seem high until the quality and quantity present themselves. Can't wait to go back.
The food is simple, good and affordable. They have wonderful customer service and toys for the kids to play with. I'd recommend to not visit them during "rush hours", but it would be one of my favorite spot if I lived closer.
Very nice place, the owners and waitress were very friendly and welcoming. The food was just perfect. I really enjoyed the viennoiseries, I felt like I was back in Paris in my favorite bakery.
Amazing food and great customer service! You have to try this place!
Simply put. The best sammich Ive had in some time. The staff is so caring. The pastries, legit and to die for. So many options i must come back to try more. Will be a new favorite spot and sammich took my number four spot in sammiches. This here is the "Brest," and is a must try. You get the chicken aaand the egg.
Fun, and wonderful food
Oh eggs with spinach, leeks, and brie - how else to start my morning? Crispy perfectly cooked potatoes? Yes! Let’s also add delicious coffee and friendly service and I’m happy and looking forward to a return visit.
This place is incredible! The food is delish, the pastries are to die for baked fresh daily. So much flavor! Not to mention the staff is great very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is colorful and fun. Great place to dine solo or with friends. Never disappointed. A must try! I could go on and on!
Good sandwich. Great bread. Service was very good.
From Paris to Boulder, this quaint and fun locale has all your French favorites for breakfasts, brunch and early lunch. Pastries are made in-house with the close supervision of the owner, a lovely French lady who always makes you feel at home.
Super friendly, cozy and colorful locally-owned cafe with delicious pastries and yummy crepes. They also sell baguette bread made in-house that puts to shame any other bread that you would buy in any nearby supermarket.
Great service but the food was just bad and way overpriced. What I had was supposed to be a crepe, but it tasted nothing like the crepes you get in Paris. I'm sorry, I really tried to like it, but I won't be coming here again.
I went in for pastries and to be honest was a little disappointed. The quality was good but the size 9f the chocolate croissants is smaller than a standard size you get at a coffee shop or other French bakery but they charge the same price.
This is an amazing place to go at all times of the day. The food is delicious, and would happily eat here for every meal. The atmosphere is very friendly, and roomy enough to have a meal with several people. While also private enough for a breakfast date. Amazing pastry case, and MANY choices on the menu of good quality food. Also grateful that there's plenty of parking.
This place made me feel like I am somewhere in southern France! The owners are French! Food is delicious and good portions. The service was great! Will be back bien sur
Charming ambience, welcoming owners, and amazing food! In less than two weeks, since it opened, we’ve come here 4 times. The crepe savoyarde transports me back to the Savoie and the chocolate crepe is out of this world. Can’t get enough... …
Food are great. Come try it out. It is not quiet, but not too loud.
Fabulous food and warm, friendly environment!
This little place blew us away! It was an amazing dining experience for my whole family.
The owner and staff are so welcoming and humble. The environment is busy on a Sunday but I didn’t want to leave. Delicious food, I can’t wait to go back !
I love Le French Cafe. The menu has wonderful things so that is a bit problematic but I'll bet no choice is a bad one. Be sure to check out their dessert display case--many delightful choices there too.
Literally the best crepes and croissants I have ever had! The salmon croissant sandwich was so delicious and perfectly balanced. This food took me back to my Grandmeres food and was so comforting I just feel happy. Go eat here ASAP!! Seriously ❤️
Fun atmosphere and great lunch. Enjoyed the savory crepe and baguette sandwich.
Food was decent, wait was over 45 minutes while others took 15 minutes, might have forgot our order.
J’adore this place! It’s one of those places I want to try everything and so far everything I’ve had is amazing.
Great service and awesome food! Best croissant in town!
Very tasty French cafe with a wide array of internationally inspired dishes, good espresso and great pastries. Also love to see an owner/manager working the floor
Lovely little cafe rich in French flair and the smell of croissants. Enjoyed my time here. It’s a must visit.
It's not often that French cafes in the US are actually owned by French people and serves authentic crepes! The owners are friendly and came to chat at our table for a few minutes, even ignoring my sub-par French. The forestiere crepe was perfect.
Everything was delicious! The almond croissants divine and the service was wonderful.
Service was really slow. The omelet was decent. Fries are not so good. Super greasy. Crossionts are pretty good.
Awsome place!
