Wonderful staff, service, kindness and food was delicious. I had the choose 3 of tamale. enchilada. And crispy chili relleno which was superb! House margaritas are very good as well. Really enjoyed my experience here and highly suggest Las Camelinas.

Came in a little before five so it was not crowded at all... both food and service was great. Likely won me over with the crispy chile relleno, but I will come back and give their specials a try as well. Decent price on combination plates and proportions are good, curious to try their more expensive specials (relative, $17-30).

The margaritas were slightly above average and the nachos were less than desirable. We ordered drinks and told them we wanted to wait a few minutes to order, then didn't see them again for 35 minutes. I had to walk back to the kitchen to wrangle a server.

I walked in because of colorful and inviting interior, and stayed for deliciously spiced fajitas, garlic mushrooms ,humongous margarita and tres leches cake to forget all diets you ever tried. Socializing with the owners and friendly patrons was like that whipped cream on a cake

I never thought I would have been blown away by a burrito. This place was fantastic, easily the best food in Salida. The restaurant looks great, seems very clean, and the staff was extremely friendly. We're probably going back tonight (twice in one day!) for dinner.

If you have children, don't even think about coming here. We waited for our table, and two other tables that arrived after we did, and didn't have any children, had their drinks served and order taken before we were even asked for drinks (which we never were). We received chips and had to ask the the person at the front for water. After 15 minutes of no interaction, we got up to leave, and they didn't even seem sorry about it. All we can venture to guess is that they do not want children here. They've lost our business permanently.

First time visiting this restaurant. The service was excellent, the food absolutely delicious, with a portion large enough for three of us. We met the owner and learned about how she obtained such lovely restaurant decor from some of her travels. We really enjoyed ourselves. I will definitely visit again when I am in Salida.

What can I say, best dang Mexican food I've ever had. Tried 2 new things and both were out of this world. Saw a guy choking, he must've not been able to restrain himself from cramming this glorious food into his mouth, can't blame him. Room itself is a piece of art. Tried to convince my friends to come back the next day, but alas my heart was broken. One day I will be back.

I am sad to say this place was terrible. If I could give it zero stars I would. The margarita was very average, but that was ok. The chips and salsa were acceptable also. Not great but not bad. Things really went downhill when they brought our entrees. My girlfriend got the shredded beef taco salad, and I had two ceviche tostadas, one shrimp and one fish. The beef in the taco salad was not good. The ceviche was even worse. The shrimp ceviche had a weird taste to it, but the fish ceviche was actually warm! Ceviche is made with chilled seafood that is “cooked” in lemon/lime juice. It is supposed to be served fresh and CHILLED. This was a pitiful attempt. This is the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Do not waste your time or money. The Mexican place on highway 50 is 100 times better.

Great atmosphere right in the historic district. I had the skirt steak and shrimp it was amazing. Normally I don’t eat Spanish style rice but that was the best race I’ve ever eaten. very moist fluffy and full of flavor. A+ I recommend this place.

Food was excellent. Loses a star because the service wasn't really great. I think the server had gone on break and the restaurant didn't have someone to back her up. As a result we had to order with the hostess and one of the busboys who didn't speak English. We speak Spanish so that didn't matter but it was a bit frustrating. Overall, solid 4 stars tho. 5 stars when the waitress is in!

Great with vegan requests!!! I love chimichangas; they made me a vegetarian chimi with a side of beans (whole pinto vs refried with lard) and Spanish rice. It was so good, and the customer service was excellent. :) Also, have recommendations for diabetics! How thoughtful!
