At the present this business has a score of 4.3 out of 5 and the rating has been based on 211 reviews.
You must have seen that the average score it has is really positive, and it's based on a large number of feddbacks, so we can say that the valuation is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to give evaluations when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant is included in the category of American restaurant.
Better know for its cocktails than its food Jimmy's serves up some good dinner choices. If it's not raining or snowing enjoy the patio. A must see and do while in town or the go to spot when meeting up with friends.
Excelent place, very helpful service. The food is to die for. The meat cuts are on the expensive side, specially the Tomahawk, but well worth it to try. The Sable fish and the trout are specially good. We even saw famous TV personalities sitting in the table next to us. We'll worth a visit for dinner if you are looking for a nice restaurant in Aspen that is not extravagant nor trendy, but a down to earth, great place.
Delicious food and the best service!
Good food, good times
Over rated. For the price should be a lot better.
Nice, somewhat down home, steak house. I get the meatloaf. They have a great wine list including Opus 1 by the glass! Get Jimmy to tell you how Smith and Wolensky style his recipe for pretzel bread.
Excellent place to be
Great atmosphere
One of the best places I've ever been! Great food and fun. Must give a shout out to the bartender Alex. One of the best ever. If you're in town make sure to go visit Alex and spend some time!
Jimmy's is in my top 5 places to eat in Aspen. The food is always made with a high quality standard which shows in every dish. I've eating at Jimmy's a handful of times and even once had the privilege of taking a behind the scenes tour into the kitchens with the Chef. The "Tomahawk" steak is a personal favorite but call ahead to make sure its available (best ordered during the XGames when it's sure to be on-hand). The bar when you walk in is always a lively place to start the night. A round of Dark and Stormy's and an appetizer of the mac n cheese will get the party going nicely. An outdoor patio doesn't have the best view but on a cold crisp winter night it's a great place to take it all in.
The food was good for the little bit of portion we had. BEWARE. It's $17 for ONE half-dollar sized crab cake. Not two, even though the menu says otherwise. As far as the service goes.... It was prejudice. I felt like a black man in the 60's. Can I nice group of teenagers not enjoy pricey dining to celebrate without judgement from the waiting staff? We kept looking over to three-four waiters and waitresses at the end of the bar looking us up and down like it was a scene from Mean Girls. We couldn't understand the issue. Are we not wearing enough Gucci or Prada to enjoy a good meal and great company? No wonder why we didn't find another group like ours in town, looks like the other people without trust funds and Vineyard Vines had a fair warning before they ventured off like we did.
I eat here very often, several times a week when in Aspen. The food is very good and consistent. I enjoy sitting in the bar as it is very lively and great for people watching. The meatloaf is my go to meal, it's priced well, delicious and offered on the bar menu. Ask for their bread basket, and a beer ... You will be very satisfied.
Had Lamb Papardelle: Not very exquisite. And: The noise level is on the high side.
We arrived at Jimmy's right at opening time and were told it would be few minutes before we got served, which we were fine with, but that turned into at least 20 minutes after opening time before we even saw a menu. We were given drinks, but then ignored after. I asked to be reseated to the dining room (which I saw had an actual waiter servicing tables) and the girl up front told me that it'd be a minute while she checked if anything was available (almost all the tables were empty) and then never came back. Throughout the meal, we never had a consistent waiter and weren't really sure who it was. I also went to the bathroom at one point, and it was full of kitchen staff dressing and putting on deodorant (and the second time I tried it stank of weed) - tip to the owners, give your workers a break room. We finally got our menu and ordered our food, but the quality of the food left much to be desired. My rib eye was overcooked and my girlfriend's filet mignon was undercooked. In addition, the quality of my rib eye was significantly poorer than I'd expect (and have received) for a $64 steak. The menu says prime but I suspect they're actually serving choice at best. We were also both served without steak knives, which I had to ask twice for. I'd meant to order wine with my steak but no one came around to check on us until I was very nearly done, but I was given a complimentary wine to make up for it. In addition, they had a small stand where people were handing out complimentary cocktails, although I'm not sure if they were affiliated with the restaurant. I'd be more forgiving of all of this if it weren't for the price of the restaurant. This did not seem like a $150 dinner, it seemed like half that at best. Your money and time is better spent elsewhere.
Arrived late but they serve until 11pm. Food was great and was very happy with the service. Great bartenders and lively crowd. Definitely returning
This is an iconic place to dine on Aspen, the service was wonderful, fantastic wine selection, and as always the food fantastic!
(Translated by Google) Good! (Original) Bueno!
Good food and good pricing
Not much to say. Wasn't impressed with the food or the service.
I hit Jimmy's everytime I'm in Aspen, great food and atmosphere. I especially love their $15 daily bar special, highly recommend. There can be limited space but it's always worth a stop.
Great margaritas
An Aspen classic. Tasty bar menu, served til late, with tons of tequilas & mezcals, and fun bartenders!
Great local spot.
Excellent!
What a disappointment; a shadow of its former self ... weve been coming to Aspen every year for 15 years and Jmmy's has long been a steak highlight .. but this year on superbowl night nobody offered to take our coats, what looked like a staff table sat next to us, the food was dire and the venue soul-less Farewell Jimmy, time to go....
Pork chop ! The best in town!
Jimmy Mac is always a winner. Drinks are pricey, but definitely worth it. Only thing I'd avoid is the spinach and artichoke dip. Service is great. Seriously, the servers are phenomenal. Chris was great. A+
Excellent food quality, perhaps the best in Aspen. Couple that with a solid drinks menu and capable bartenders and you've got a winner. Service was decent, though not extraordinary. That being said, it was a very crowded evening. Overall, Jimmy's is a great restaurant option in Aspen.
A very busy and popular place. Our party couldn't find space at the bar so we made or way to the restaurant. Service and fare was outstanding. Our food came quickly, a. Bit. Too quickly, it would have been nice to enjoy a glass of wine and take in the ambiance. Chuck our sommelier was very helpful and knowledgeable. A great experience.
They have a lovely rooftop deck for enjoying a great meal. Excellent service and a large selection of drinks and cocktails. The food was very rich and filling -- the portions were just right.
Fabulous. Friendly people and wonderful food!!!! Ordered the filet, scalloped potatoes and salmon. So great!!!!
Love the bartenders. Especially Kyle
Good food, friendly, prompt service.
Fun bar! Warm and cozy. Giant plates - good for splitting. We look forward to coming back.
Amazing food & the best staff in the business.
Great bar menu
I believe this place is been around and Aspen for quite some time. It is kind of a upscale bar with very good food.
what can be said about Jimmy's? Hmmmm... delicious food, wonderful service, and surprisingly good cocktails. We had cocktails to start with and were perfectly mixed. We moved into the appetizer - Kobe beef tartare, and oh my!!! do I really need to say anything about it? Followed by it, went into an overload of protein and asked for the rib eye... perfecto!!!! Couldn't ask for better food.
The crab cakes were awesome, would definitely return.
No delicious, No kind, even burn food!!!
Great drinks
I must say good food. The wine selection was super and Larry was just the most professional guy I know. Just super.
Pricey but an Aspen icon for special events.Yes thats a 32 oz bone on Ribeye, it was delicious
Amazing food and even more amazing servive. You must try the Jimmy's Maragerita
Great spot
Wonderful service and great food you don't always get that in Aspen.
What a gem! Delicious American style food. I highly recommend the meatloaf and mashed sweet potatoes. The cookies for dessert are some of the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. This is a perfect place after a long day of skiing or hiking.
Great atmosphere, service and food! Yummy cocktails!
Great atmosphere at the bar - no need to go to the diningroom ... Tasty food & friendly and fast staff. Come early.
Steaks were good, shishito peppers were fabulous and The salads were really good. Crab cakes were okay, did not love them. Strawberry shortcake was not good, cake was thick and very dry. The fish entrees and scallops were also very good.
Good fun
Service was terrible. Drank 2 full glasses of water before the waitress acknowledged my presence - never mind taking a drink order. Food was bland and not worth the price.
Our waitress should not be in the service industry. The food was ok, but nothing I would choose again over all the other fantastic restaurants in town. I'd call it standard fare. On a positive note, the balcony tables allow for enjoying the weather.
Great margs, but gets expensive quickly
Great food in the bar and restaurant, definitely worth lining up for. Burger, steak and fries are highlights. Drinks and bar service are fantastic
Food was pretty good. Service was decent. Really nice wine selection.
Great food, wine and service.
Our group (13) went to Jimmy's recently, service was the tops, all meals were excellent, however, Jimmy's refuses to provide separate checks to groups. This caused a good deal of frustration at the end of an otherwise pleasant evening.
Very good.. one of the best in town and with a vibrant bar scene
Love the steak and service
$250 for two adults and 3 kids, no drinks. Food good, heavy check for a family
Long-time local favorite with bar menu and great tunes.
A must when you’re in Aspen! We stopped in on a whim last night to grab drinks and dinner after a long day of hiking. As new transplants to Colorado, we’ve not really had a great meal that wowed us till last night. We ordered a New York strip, it was perfectly cooked and delicious. I asked for grilled shrimp, not on the menu, our waitress graciously accommodated my request and the shrimp were the best tasting! Our experience was stellar from the moment we arrived! I’d like to add that our waitress was super friendly and took the time to chat with us and made us feel so welcome. We’ll be back when we return to Aspen!
We love Jimmy's!!!
The food was served cold, it was too busy the table we were seated at was not big enough and even with a bigger table available they were not happy to move us till we made a bigger fuss. The waitress was nice but the manager could have addressed the issues but chose:not too.
Always a good time.
One of the best dinners in town, great American menu
Salsa Saturday nights.
Food was alright and servers were a little slow. The place also didn't have any AC when we came in - which wasn't the greatest since it was a pretty warm day.
Great service. Best Mac And Cheese Ever! Fun Lively Environment
I recommend the mac and cheese, excellent
One of the most popular American restaurants in town. The atmosphere in the dining room is unpretentious and the bar area is always super lively. The food is delicious and there are many items on the menu in the mid-price range. The bar menu is affordably awesome. The dining room is spacious - great for large groups, families, private parties etc. One of the locals favorite restaurants and bar - Jimmy's is an Aspen superstar!
La comida fabulosa.
Best restaurant in Aspen. The Cowboy Ribeye was amazing. And the Jimmy Mac was outta control! The brussels sprouts were quite good. Unique preparation. Great wine list and good wines by the glass.
Great waitress and cozy ambience. Very accommodating and a nice surprise for fun wine pairings. We were in the mood for a classic steak and Jimmy's did not disappoint.
Amazing meal.
I loved the food and the service. Talk about creativity. The chef made chickpea pasta for the vegan entree with mushroom bolognese and cashew cream with basil. I wanted to leave the restaurant quietly after such a mystical dinner but was thrown off by the crowded overpacked firehazard bar on the way out. Talk about hard to get out of.
Sehr nett und super lecker! Bedienungen perfekt! So sollte es überall sein!
Jimmie's is a place that I have been to numerous times, and I've always loved both the food, drinks, and service. They have a coat check and a fairly large bar area. I have yet to order something from here that I did not like.
Great food, venue, bar and wait staff
Old people stuffy restaurant with no charm. Food was flavorless. Staff was careless. If you like hanging out with old people go here.
Food was ok, service was subpar. Fries were rock hard
One of our favorites in Aspen, especially the bar... for drinks, food, and mucho tequila!
Great for late night when most of the other places are closed. Solid menu and very friendly.
Consistently one of the best spots in Aspen. Great food, truly pro staff, superb bar and cocktails, best tequila and mezcal selection along with the knowledge to help you enjoy it. A must hit spot at least once per visit to Aspen.
A constant in Aspen. Try the espressotini.
Amazing Staff and Awesome food in a Great Town!
Great bar and restaurant in downtown Aspen. Located up a flight of stairs and the space is somewhat split into two with a bar area and a dining area. Very nice decor of the place. Gets crowded during the evenings and it feels like a very happening place. It also has seating on the patio during the summer. Good food menu. Sit in the main dining area or grab a seat at the bar which has it's own menu. Great bar specials of the day on weekly rotation. Good value for money. Great selection of mezcals. The wine list is extensive and most will find something for themselves. The cocktails are very good also. Would recommend. Would come back.
Cool place for drinks with a view.
Long time Aspen hangout not worth the hype:(
Great atmosphere and drinks
Dinner specials on bar menu every night of the werk!
I went to Jimmy's for my anniversary this year and had the Cioppino Soup! It was the best soup I've ever had, I literally dreamed about it that night! I can't wait to go back again!
I walked by one day, looks nice.
Great food, great bar and cocktail list
Fantastic lobster chowder Amazing cocktails Marvelous service and attention !
비싼데 분위기는 좋음
Some of the best deals on food in the bar at Jimmy's. Seated on a first come, first served basis, it's worth the wait. Spicy margarita with chili lime rim is excellent!
Pricy, but worth it. We had three different entres, each was greatly prepared, presented and served. Great wine list, by the glass and bottles.
Excellent meals and spirits, great tequila selection
Bar seemed fun, but service and atmosphere of dining room is way too casual for price. Several patrons were wearing hats and hoodies. Definitely not a special occasion or fine dining option. Understaffed and waitress pushed us to order entrees the minute we arrived. Fortunately we were with good company, otherwise this would have been a painful meal. Crab cakes were served at room temperature.
Consistently amazing!
I have been traveling to aspen for 10+ years and have eaten at Jimmy's for a majority of them. Up until last night I could honestly say it was a great experience with great food. However, last night was one of the worse meals I have ever had. The steaks were burnt ( supposed to cooked medium and medium well) and my wife and I didn't even eat our meals. For a meal that costs as much as it does here, I would expect more. I wish I could say that the meal was the worst part of my evening. But, the food poisoning that followed was far worse. I hope this is not what Jimmy's has become.
It was decent food. Their idea of "big" portions is quite exaggerated. The waiter with no eyebrows was not helpful with seating us or refilling our beverages. We got less action than Elton John's ex wife. Would not recommend to anyone other than snobbish billionaires who would have the waiters kissing their feet the second they walk in the door.
Friendly staff and a great place when you need somerhing to eat and drink.
If you want to go some place and feel right at home and have some great drinks and a snack, this is the place. Not a dive bar and not hoity toity - and not overly loud like some other places either. Bartenders are friendly but no fuss and no muss either. Good fair drinks. I think they could get a bit more creative with the menu. But everything was prepared nicely. It's mostly bar and a bunch of large high tops and then a dining porch area. It was great. Had fun talking to our neighbors. And watching the bartenders turn DJ at the end of the night.
Poor experience. Don't know what the problems were. Ordered cocktails then the gal took our order for starters, she also asked whether we wanted our salads with our main course???. Starters - no cocktails - no waitress. Half way through starters cocktails show up??? Repeat for entrees. Odd. Left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing. Keep trying this place hoping it'll get better, think I'm done now.
Great food, great service, steak could have been more marbled (maybe not Prime?)
Hot bartender, always a plus. Buffalo bacon burger was out of this world as well!
Very Good
Pretentious, overpriced and bland.
Dinner a Jimmy's last night was good. My filet mignon was a good quality steak (not sure about it being prime) well prepared. I ordered it rare based on my experience and it came closer to medium rare, which was fine. It came with terrific roast cauliflower and good mashed potatoes. My salmon crudo appetizer was very good. The creamed spinach we ordered was excellent and big enough for 3 of us to share. Not the French fries which were somehow greasy and crisp at the same time. Not at all appetizing. Two others with me ordered onion soup which they shared at a $2 split charge, which was done in the kitchen which was convenient. They also each ordered lamb chop appetizers. Nice portion of 3 chops but some were too fatty. Good service. Very attentive. But one staff member left an unpleasant cloud of cheap cologne wafting in the air eery time he passed our table. Obviously we were down wind. Jimmy's has had its ups and downs over the years. Now it's much better than its worst in the past couple of years, but not quite back up to its glory days. The good news is that while it's as expensive as many (most) Aspen restaurants, you don't get their pretentiousness. Try it. If you're a politely take charge patron, you should enjoy it.
Awesome dining experience we had last night at Jimmy's. Service was outstanding and the food was delicious. We come to Aspen every March to celebrate our anniversary and ski. It is one of the restaurants on our list when we are in Aspen. Plus the view is great (Ajax in sight). Highly recommended.
Awesome bar, great food, always hoppin.
Too much butter in every item.
Worst lobster mac I've ever had. And the meatloaf at Boston market is better. Which isn't saying much.
