You know that we don't usually stop to place feddbacks when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Mexican restaurant.
This local Denver chain is definitely worth checking out if your in the mood for Mexican food. On this visit, I had the fish tacos with rice and beans. The fish was grilled, tasty, and fresh. The people next to me had the shrimp tacos and they too looked delicious. The restaurant was packed at 8pm on a Tuesday night. I recommend this location if your in the Cherry Hill area of Denver.
This place always delivers. Fast and good service, food that is not just quite good but also consistently so. Great happy hours. Usually busy but never had to wait long. Quesadillas are great, fajitas are recommended, good queso.
Always good food and service. Get the tableside gauc!
Good food, just had to ask for extra chile. Not enough on my rellenos.
Nice place nice food
This was our 1st time there. We were celebrating my birthday. The hostess sat us @ a small table against the wall next to the restrooms. Where a small fly kept buzzing us the entire time. It took a while to look over the menu. I was not finding a few items that are listed on the website menu & I have a health issue that doesn't allow me to eat Red meat or Red Chile. Our server was EXTREMELY attentive & was very helpful with our order specifics. My husband ordered the garlic shrimp tacos & I settled with Chile rellenos with green Chile on the side.. (so I could pick the pork out). The tacos were "ok" per my husband. They were lacking salsa & could have been served with some lime wedges to make them better. My rellenos were good for American style. I was expecting more traditional. The rice tasted like boil in the bag rice.. neither of us finished it. The black beans were good. However, my husband said they tasted like beans straight from the can. they had a spice that I couldn't quite identify.. The closest I could tell was extra ground black pepper (which is strange to use in this style of beans). Our server was generous & gave us a order of sopapilla's and & scoop of ice cream on the house for my birthday. I'm not sure if we'll be back or not. Our server was AMAZING but the food was mediocre.
The only thing I enjoyed at this location was the scenery pretty decent looking restaurant but found a hair in my food would not return. They did take it off our bill but over all not very great tasting food if you're looking for authentic Mexican food.
As a first time patron of this restaurant I didn't know what to expect, I only knew what I knew about this restaurant from others and their compliments are what got me excited for dining here this evening. It was my brother in-laws birthday, with that alone, he was given some of the best service I had ever witnessed by our server Jermal. The atmosphere was so inviting, mellow and cozy. The music wasn't very loud at all, and the ambient conversations allowed for a private experience as only those within your party could hear one another. Everyone seemed to take their jobs seriously, which promoted a professional enviroment. All of our needs we're satisfied, thirst was quenched, bellies were filled. There wasn't a time we needed something and had waited long to receive it. A manager stopped by as well, I can't bring myself to remember her name but she was quite professional and kind. I will return in the future to satisfy my mexican cuisine needs!
The food here is absolutely dynamite. Margaritas as are fantastic. Try the bacon wrapped shrimp.
Met family here from out of town. 3 toddlers and 5 adults. Our server handled it incredibly smoothly. Dishes that pleased everyone. Good experience.
Delicious! Some of the best Mexican-influenced food we've had in Colorado!
Great atmosphere. Indoor or outdoor dining. Portions are very large. Great for sharing.
The atmosphere is great! The food is even better! And it is just a few blocks from my house!!!
Been here several times, and it's always a nice experience. I've never had a problem with the food or service.
My dinning partner and I both enjoyed the meal. I had the shrimp it was delicious and reasonable priced. She had the Colorado Combo and couldn't eat all as portion was more than adequate.
Great food, ambience, and service. A lovely beginning before a night with Garth Brooks!
Decent food. Not a lot of selection. Our server wasn't very friendly.
Food was okay I was really let down by the Enchilada's they came out and tasted like Lasagna or Ravioli the beef was almost like an exact replica of beef used in Ravioli and the tortillas were just plasticish for lack of a better term. Other than that server was great and the Chile Rellenos were great also; but I was really let down by the ravioli tasting Enchiladas :(
Hacienda Colorado is one of my favorite restaurants in the Denver area. I'm a salsa gal and I love that they have several varieties. The habanero pineapple is the best! The food is amazing and the staff is great!
I love this restaurant and this location! Great food, great drinks, and always more than happy to accommodate special requests (like extra extra cilantro) and they don't treat you as if you are a pain or inconvenience for asking for things. I wish I could remember our waiter's name but unfortunately I don't. He was wonderful. Very kind and helpful, but also was able to joke around with my family and made the visit even better.
Excellent location for quality mexican food. Quick and friendly service. Mood here is similar to Fresno's scene.
Good food a little pricey
Food was very good and there were many selections to choose from. We had a large party and the servers were very good. Large portions!
Good food and great service. Less waiting time. Well maintained restrooms. Lovely waitress with caring service. Good number of sides to taste with tortillas. Spicy level upto 8 count.
Food was just not up to Hacienda quality. The last two times we have been it was less then average food and service. We use to love this place but we will be looking for other dining.
Love the carnitas enchiladas! The margs are good, especially during happy hour. Logan at the bar is great!
Amazing chimichangas!! Best I've had anywhere in Denver
Always happy at Hacienda. Great food and drinks!
Good standard Mexican food selection and attentive service. Would def go back.
Not the same quality of food or service as the 8 years I've visited here. Hoping they go back to the original menu. Food and service was so poor we apologized for bringing our guests there because the food was way too spicy and just off. This has been my favorite Denver restaurant for years but unfortunately no more.
The food is great. Atmosphere fun but we had a waiters off day we are thinking. It felt the moment we only wanted soft drinks and not Margaritas the attention was lost
It was disappointing. They've messed up my order. At the kitchen they've never put some key ingredients of the dish and brought it like its should be like that. Guys not cool.
The food didn't taste as good as the one downtown but parking downtown will make u want to pull ur hair out. The amount of people downtown who are lost adds to the down side. This one on Colorado Blvd is very easy to get to & it stays crowded. So u may not get to park close if u get there after 5pm. The staff are friendly & helpful. They try to meet ur needs. The manager comes around to check on u & ur meal.
Great experience! Had a great time and meal. Great service from Chris at the bar. We will go back.
The food is amazing, and their queso blanco sucks me in every time. They are typically very busy, and their beer selection could use some work.
Great food and chips and salsa. Pretty pricey is the only negative
Good food and good atmosphere. Our waiter Kate was great! She always had a smile and handled the little one we had with us like a pro.
Good food and service
Great spot for a margarita after work, but even better for lunch with your coworkers. Close to many office buildings in always been with professionals. Don’t forget to try some your house specialties and avoid going with the traditional Mexican food restaurant.
Consistently a great place to eat. I love their street tacos, and their margaritas are on point. Friendly servers and lively environment. I suggest sitting at the bar for small groups as it can be faster than waiting for a table.
Chicken street tacos were phenomenal. Great salsa and great service. Waiter kept the drinks coming.
Very friendly and efficient staff, the food is always great quality at a fair price. The environment is clean, fun, and friendly.
The food was somewhat pricy for the basic fare served. But the sopapillas were excellent!
A bit noisy & big, but Mex food always appropriate.
Great food.....not a big fan though
I really liked the atmosphere at this place. It's like a Mexican restaurant that didn't have the look or the feel of a traditional Mexican restaurant. The music selection in the background was fun and featured a bunch of classic hits and the food was amazing. I hadn't been to this place since it was called the Starlight Cantina years ago, but we stopped in for my brother's birthday and I will definitely be going back again.
Boy do I love Hacienda Colorado! They have wonderful food and appetizers and the service is 5 star. If you like TexMex you'll love thous place. Also, the salsa that comes with your chips is so good
Good food and great service. Nice patio and the margs were awesome
I lived in NOCO and I would see Hacienda's commercials. I always wanted to try it and I finally did. It was well worth the money, I was very happy with the quality. Now that I live in Denver, I will definitely be back! The shrimp street tacos were delicious.
I loved the food, the lighting was warm but it's super loud in here. Would definitely order my food to go though.
Great staff nice relaxing atmosphere definitely going back
Excellent food!! Great service!! The best Mexican I’ve found in Denver!! A+++++++ We sat at the bar the bartenders were excellent!!! Zachary and Dena!!
The best place for mexican food and best prices. Atmosphere is so lovely and customer service is amazing.
Called in a late reservation for my moms birthday- we were quickly seated- didnt have to be- so thank you. We appreciate the accommodation. :) Jamal is amazing- best service. He was a really great listener and patient with our group tonight. It's a small thing, but our military/old school family appreciated the fact he took the ladies orders before the gentleman's orders. He was attentive and genuine. Thank you Jamal for taking care of us! Food- Jamal recommended shrimp street tacos- did not disappoint. Delish! Sopapillas are good.:) everyone was pleased with their food. Plates were cleared. Also, the margaritas and other mixed drinks had actual alcohol. I hate mixed drinks where I pay for sugar. Everyone got something different and everyone enjoyed their time. Margaritas are great! Thanks again to the staff for taking care of us and making it a great birthday for my mom :). Thank you Jamal for the exceptional service.:)
Great, reliable happy hour food that are decent sized portions. Margarita prices and quality are better than anything else around. Love it here and so does my team so we'll be back again for sure.
The staff are so kind and helpful! The food is delicious, especially the salsa!
Wasn't to bad. I have to give it to the staff, when its busy there you almost cant hear the people right beside you let alone hear 8 people and get the order correct. Also I've never seen so many people on their cellphones, "PUT down your mobile device and have a conversation with the people around you! " The food was lackluster (in my opinion) but I did only have the soup and salad, the rest of my party had what looked to be good food and I heard no complaints.
Excellent. We were seated right away even though the restaurant seemed busy. By the way, it was noisy in there! The waiter brought chips and salsa. That's the best salsa I think I've ever had. There weren't large chunks of anything and you could tell they used roasted tomatoes. The chips were thin and very crispy. So we ordered Queso and chips-awesome. Chunks of tomato and onion, etc in the queso. I had a margarita, and they have several to choose from, even a cucumber margarita! Which was my second drink. Pretty darned good! I ordered a smothered beef burrito with red chili, not hot. Refried beans inside, sour cream on top, guacamole extra. For your info, they will make guac at your table if you like. It's wonderful. It was a pleasant surprise to taste cilantro in the food. My friend had chili rellenos which he dug into with gusto. We both couldn't resist the salsa and chips and queso, so we ended up taking half our meals home, which I don't regret! I'm going to make guacamole dip tomorrow and finish my burrito! You can bet we will be back as many times as I can convince my dinner group to go! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Good portions. Friendly staff. Quick spots are open on Friday nights. Definitely get the hacienda queso with chorizo.
Ordered the Bean and Cheese burrito. There is a note at the bottom of the menu that the refried beans are made with bacon - most are. They fail to mention that they are so heavily flavored with bacon that's all you can taste. A bacon flavored burrito may appeal to some
Very disappointed. We've gone to Hacienda for over 20 years. It's always been our favorite "go to" for Mexican food. The last couple times, just not the same, tonight food was burnt, manager sent a message through the server "he apologizes". We used to know all the servers, they would automatically bring us our drinks without asking. Lately, we know very few servers. It's going to be a long time before we return, if ever. So sad.
I had the steak street tacos and they tasted a little off and funny, and the big chunks of rare cook me didn't go down very well. There is certainly potential but the preparation wasn't very good I probably wouldn't order that dish ever again there. on the plus side the chips and salsa were very good and the service was great
Our waitress was phenomenal! She made a recommendation for the street tacos & she was spot on! They were so good! This was 1st time at this location & I loved it! Will be coming back as often as possible.
Good food and good overall service. So why the one star rating? They sat my family (wife/12yo/10yo) in one of their '"extensions" area. It was literally so loud we couldn't hold a conversation. Completely ruined our dinner, which sucks since we spent about $70 bucks. Two tables of people who were smashed and screaming. Tried to just deal with it but eventually couldn't stand it anymore, therefore we complained. Nothing happened so we hurried and finished eating so we could leave. Was, again, told "sorry and thank you for dealing with the noise." If you go there, demand to be seated inside the normal areas.
Great service, the main course was terrible and overpriced. Desert and drinks not bad, but again overpriced.
I love this place. The guac is to die for but...You need to SMILE waiter/waitresses. I sit and watch the customers come and go,hardly any smiles. Just think about this thought,YOU the waiter/waitress might be the only smile they see DIRECTED to them. Just a thought
Amazing sauces from mild cheese to caliente. Try the three tacos. Wow. Service was well balanced: enough to get what you need, but not taking over them meal.
Absolutely terrific!!! Probably the best Mexican food I have eaten in my entire life
Very good, fresh tasting mexican food. Nice staff. Loved it!
Always excellent colorado-mex food.
I'm quite familiar with this chain and several of their locations and this one certainly lived up to the expectations of the rest. Casual Mexican food establishment, food tasted absolutely wonderful, staff was kind and polite and even when it was busy we got our meal quickly. Do yourself a favor and grab a slice of the Ghirardelli Chocolate cake for dessert you won't be disappointed.
Delicious as always. Fast and friendly service
Love their entry chips and salsa. fresh and nice. Fajitas were delicious and i think you can share with someone else . Would love to go back
I was employed at Hacienda Colorado for almost three years. As a host, I enjoyed what I did. I grew good co worked relationships with everyone, and even made some amazing friendships. The food is amazing! I recommend many items on the menu; which are: tamales, street tacos, burritos. Amazing!
The Posole was almost a meal in itself and was terrific! The service was great, the restaurant was clean and inviting. Will be back again for sure.
The food was amazing.. Our waiter was the best we've had in a long time.. I would get the shrimp enchiladas,OMG! they were awesome... We will come back..
Outstanding food and service. Sangria is out of this world.
Beware!! New owners. New higher priced menu with fewer and more expensive choices. The quality is gone. The good news is that in 6 months you won't have to wait for a table. And in a year someone may put in a good restaurant again.
My boyfriend and I came here last night and the food was so good. This is the second time I've been here and they haven't let me down. Both times on weekdays the place was so packed with people. The servers were attentive, the food came out at a decent time, hot food, and the food was so flavorful. I did 3 tacos of my choice and he had a burrito with the best skirt steak I've tried at a restaurant. There was so much flavor. I would definitely go here again. This will become one of my top go to restaurants. Love that the staff has more of a cultural appeal to it, adds to the experience.
I love the tortilla here. Good food
Good portion sizes, good service, delicious food (including free chips and salsa!). Margarita was a bit on the string side, but still good!
Decent food for decent prices. I like the one up by the butterfly pavilion better though honestly.
Good food and family friendly. The wait staff was kind and attentive!
Fantastic food ,beautiful place to be at ,good service.
Great food and friendly staff. Didnt have to wait for a table even though it was Friday night at dinner rush. Fast service. Would recommend to anyone.
Service was good, but it took forever to get our food.
One of my fav spots for mexican food. you will not be disappointed in the menu and service. really nothing but good experiences here. this place has a cool atmosphere.
Had a delightful dinner here on their outdoor section, heated even as the weather started to get colder. Didn't get a chance to try their dessert menu, but the drinks were phenomenal. I will return in the future for date night!
Great location in South Denver. Very good Mexican restaurant
Super great food. Have gone twice and both times we have not been disapointed!
I have been here a couple of different times since I wanted to give it a fair chance. Each time the only redeeming thing has been the service, but other than that I am left incredibly underwhelmed. This place is pretty pricey for what you get and the food is very bland. Drink was okay, I do not recommend getting the 21 oz over the 12 oz though since it seems the only difference is the mixer they put in.
Food is already great their new tableside guacamole is to die for the staff is helpful and friendly all around great rating
A great place to get some yummy Mexican food. Good variety to choose from. Gets pretty crowded at dinner time so go early.
Love the Cucumber Margarita and the guacamole is always spot on. We are never disappointed with the entrees at Hacienda Colorado and the Chocolate cake is the BEST!!
Great food. Friendly staff. Didn't have to wait long for the food. Server was on top of it.
This place does get pretty busy. There is something on the menu for everyone. I like the nachos but who doesn't like nachos! There Enchiladas are not like mommas but were good. I didn't like the parking. There is a best buy you can use there parking if its to packed.
Service was great!!! Very good and stayed on top of what we were drinking. Was refilled before it was empty. And asked if we wanted another. The food was okay. But they did let us stay and talk as we ate. As I was visiting family. I am from out of state and we don't get to see each other often it had been years and my daddy passed recently. They never rushed us or anything else. So that part I would give a 5
Food is good...service a little slow...fair price
I am A MEXICAN FOODIE!!! I go for the most authentic taste I can find...and HACIENDA COLORADO is AMAZING..especially because it truly taste AUTHENTIC COLORADEN MEXICAN FOOD! reaLLY!!! You gotta go!
I have had chili rellenos twice recently and they were terrible. Also the other food was not very good! Only thing that was good was the guacamole!66
Nice place, first time there! I had the Street Taco's, two carnites - one chicken. I also had the Habanero salsa for the tacos. Was told that it's hot but I felt no heat at all, it was very sweet, a bit much for me. I heard from others that they didn't feel any heat either. Good place I will go back.
Man, this place used to be awesome when it was a CO owned company, since Uncle Julio's (TX based company) took over, it has gone down hill significantly...but hey, they added a $13.00 table side guac... unfortunately that doesn't hide the fact the the food is now sub-par, the time it takes to actually get your food has increased 5 fold (not exaggerating, used to take about 6mins, took almost 45mins, so I guess...8 fold????
Great service! The atmosphere is nice. The guacamole is the absolute BEST!!!!
Always great service and amazing food.
Nice take on ALOT of different ways to serve Mexican food. Very popular and crowded at dinner hour. Crowd noise inside restaurant was loud.
Was taken for by work. Much better options. Cheesecake factory tries to do Mexican.....hate to call it food
Hacienda hosted a holiday gathering for us in one of their private back rooms. The service was great and had a dedicated server. Always had fresh drinks and full plates. I have to say the bacon wrapped shrimp was to die for. The only issue is getting to the place... rush hour during the holidays, from any direction can make a 15 mile drive turn into one hour...
Good food good staff. Nice friendly environment.
Love Hacienda - my go to for non-hole-in-the-wall Mexican food!
Service was good. Food was good. Drinks were good. Nothing exceptional, but nothing g horrible either.
Fajitas we're great; service was excellent.
Good food, good prices. But not authentic Mexican. And only mediocre for the price.
Food is good, Hostesses have a bad attitude. We were told we had a 20 - 25 minute wait so we walked next door. As soon as we got the text that our table was ready we went back to find our table had been given to someone else. After my lady said something about the hostesses giving away the table so quickly they were short and acted like we were an inconvenience. Sorry Chip, tried to come in to see you. Won't happen again.
Our party of 2 had amazing customer service we will never forget. We got in right away for a Cinco de Mayo dinner with no wait even though the parking lot was pretty full. Our server, Jamal, went above and beyond to make sure we had plenty of chips and salsa and water. Our drinks arrived quickly, followed by our appetizer. All of the food we ordered tasted homemade and fresh. We were so pleased with our service from Jamal. Will be returning again and again. Thank you again Jamal for making us feel so welcome!
First time here and it was amazing. Great food great service. We will be back for sure.
I enjoyed the food but not the wait time. Actually, I often leave for quicker service. There is nothing outstanding regarding the restaurant facility but the food IS good
Excellent service today. We had party of 12 and our waiter was great!! Food and drinks very good.
Ribs & Rellenos, Woo Hoo! Table side Gaucamole is a must too. Our server Dena was awesome and recommended the best Margarita I've had in ages! HammerTime
Needed our Mexican food fix while in town and this place was perfect and delicious!
Easily my favorite place for Colorado style Mexican food. Drinks are the bomb.
The food was okay it was a great place but the service was amazing and I enjoyed being there. I will be back again cause the service was fast.
I have been to Hacienda Colorado since the first year they opened and it never disappoints!
The carnitas tacos are amazing! The Timmer Marg was delicious as well
Rather disappointingly slow slow service, at least delivering drink orders to our table. Also the food quality and selection seems to be deteriorating from previous visits-- now more akin to what a friend used to jokingly refer to as "Velveeta-Mex" ... inspired by Mexican dishes, but rather processed to blander US tastes. When we asked about any mole dishes or at least sauce options, we had to explain to our server what mole even was! At least the frozen margaritas are good (and reasonably priced during happy hour).
Very good and fresh tastes. If you like spicy you must try the 8 chili caliente sauce!
Matthew was a wonderful server! The food and margaritas are phenomenal. Love this place!!
The food is always pretty tasty here (love the ghost pepper queso and the carnitas) and considering I always come when it's busy I'm happy to say the servers are always friendly and prompt. I've ordered a number of drinks here, you can't go wrong with any of the margaritas or the sangria. I knock a star off for price; their menu is a little on the high end for the type of establishment so I tend to stick to happy hour. But great spot to come for a quick bite and a drink.
Great staff and very good food
