I came here for my birthday. They gave me a birthday card which it looked like just a normal birthday card from the restaurant. But from the inside, I got a few lovely birthday notes from people who work here! The notes from them definitely brought up my smile. I was so glad that I picked this place to celebrate my birthday. The food and service were spectacular. I came here with a couple of friends which it was our first time here. Our server took her time to explain all the dishes for us. We ended our dinner night with sticky toffee cake. I think that was the best dessert I’ve ever had in Denver so far.

Lunch here was amazing. Incredible club sandwich, the best crispy brussel sprout I've ever had. A fresh baked (to perfection) warm cookie to finish the meal. If I have to nitpick the fries were a little crunchy (not intentionally it seemed) and the Arnold Palmer was very sweet.

this is usually the beat steak i can get cooked in Denver but i wasnt into how long my blue and crispy had been sitting while the rest of my tables well done steaks were being cooked. will always be back just something i noticed last time i ate there. get the sticky toffee cake for dessert atleast once in this lifetime

We were on a weekend getaway in Denver and decided to try Guard & Grace due to the good reviews. We dined at 7:45pm on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was filled. Atmosphere was very dark and loud, not an intimate venue, which was fine. The menu is very pricey and for what you get/quality I personally did not feel it was worth it. We both ordered drinks, wine and a cocktail. Our server was very attentive and made menu recommendations. I had wanted a side salad but all salads are a la carte - server recommended the beet & peach salad. It isn't something we would normally order but with the recommendation we gave it a try. It was incredibly bland and very little flavor. The peaches were awful and tasteless. Presentation however was beautiful but at the end of the day, taste is more important. I would not recommend. We both ordered a filet mignon which came out cooked according to our preferences. The steaks were good but there was nothing special about them in the slightest. Sides are a la carte, we each ordered one side- Brussel sprouts and truffle gnocchi. Both of which were good however very large portions - I wish our server would have warned us about the serving size as we would have only ordered one side. For dessert we split the "corn" creme brulee. Our server warned us it comes as a "deconstructed" creme brulee. It was very interesting to say the least. It came with corn kernels sprinkled on the dessert. It wasn't bad but it was a very interesting taste and not something I would order again. We would not dine here again - the food was not up to par for the price. I commend them on their staff service and that they are trying to do something different here but it just did not resonate well.

Was visiting some family in Denver and after hearing amazing things Guard and Grace was a must. The restaurant more than lived up to the hype. Adriana was our waitress and immediately made us feel welcome and at home. Her warmth set the perfect mood for the rest of the night. Her attentiveness was unmatched. As for the food, of course the award winning steak is a good choice, but my vote goes to the Alaskan black cod, hands down the most flavorful and textured dish I’ve ever tasted. At a steakhouse you don’t expect the seafood to be the star of the show, but everything we ordered from the oysters to the sashimi to the cod was phenomenal. Don’t get me started on the delicious red pepper goat cheese ravioli! Adriana treated us like royalty and we ate like it to boot!

We had a great time. The food was great, friendly server. Everyone in our party had enjoyed ourselves. I realized we were charged an additional $495.00 for another parties bill. I called Guard and Grace right away to have this fixed. The manager had made the correction immediately and had apologized several times. I understand that mistakes happen and I appreciate the promptness to correct the error. However at the end of our phone conversation and after time to process that I was charged an additional $495.00 I am disappointed in the customer service I received. I think I would have liked if the manager had offered a percentage off our next visit, or something to make me want to dine there again. Had I thrown a fit, yelled at the manager or demanded something Then, there would have been customer recovery. For that I do not think I will patronize this facility in the future nor will I recommend it to any of my friends.

Best steakhouse in Denver. Came in for my birthday and was given a birthday card signed by about 8 or so members of the staff. The service was excellent and at the end was given a dessert with “happy birthday” written in chocolate syrup on the plate. I could see the table next to us had a dessert plate with “happy anniversary” written as well. Great place for special occasions

Really disappointing experience from a Troy Guard restaurant. The roast beef in the French dip was way over cooked. French dip should be rare. This was medium to medium well. Also tried the Bubu bowl. Sashimi was fresh and good. Everything else was meh.

I'll get straight to the point: this is arguably the best steakhouse I've ever dined at, and I eat out a lot! The ambiance and service are both incredible. The seats are notably comfotable and the servers go out of their way to make every guest feel valued. I had a medium steak prepared to perfection with a flavorful crust and tender interior. There's even more flavor left on the plate from all of the juices. That's where the sides come in; no dipping sauces are even needed. I'd highly recommended the brussel sprouts or chipotle lime potatoes. Inside scoop: if you go on a Friday, you'll get complimentary salted chocolate chip cookies for dessert. I've paid much more money for much lesser steaks. Save yourself a trip to those $$$$ steakhouses and come to Guard and Grace!

This place will leave you wanting more. Aside from having some of the best service in the city, they have been awarded 2 glasses by wine spectator for their list, and the food is unforgettable. The staff here are passionate, professional, and focused. What ever the occasion they tailor your experience and make you feel like you're the only table in the room. The decor is classy yet relaxed, the music is energizing, and the private dining areas versatile and suite almost any occasion.

Place is bomb...went with family table of 5 for my birthday....little know fact without being there you can split the filet steak flight and the salads too which are huge! One of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Bone in rib eye had so much flavor. The truffle mac and cheese was more like pasta then mac and cheese, but good flavor. Ordered the charcuterie sampler and was surprised when we were charged an extra $31 for the cheeses. Service was excellent.

The cocktails are great (get the one with the beets), so are the apps, the brussels sprouts and obviously the steak. Seriously, I've never had anything here that I wasn't obsessed with. Great service with great food. Reserved two chairs at the "open kitchen" seating area and it was a great experience watching food being make! Our servicer, Sarah, was excellent explaining the menu. Because of her recommendation, we tried the 7X WAGYU BONE MARROW, Amazing! We watched Adrian, a chef, make seafood platters of lobster, oysters, and shrimps. He gave us a sample of oysters and salmon wrapped sushi, both delicious! My Hanger steak with Chipotle Lime Smashed Potatoes was a great recommendation by Sarah! Overall, food and experience were great! We spent $200 (with tip), and worth every penny!

Single handedly one of the best restaurants in Denver, without a doubt. Come for the mouth watering potato rolls and just sit tight and stay for EVERYTHING else. A great business place to take clients for lunch or dinner, or a great place to celebrate a special occasion. The restaurant is quite large, but it doesn’t take away from the atmosphere which is fantastic. The wine list is extensive and surely has what you’re looking for. A steak is definitely a must order. The carpaccio and Brussels sprouts are also fantastic. They also offer a weekday social hour which I am excited to try!

Came here for dinner last night with the boyfriend, and almost everything was good, but we were very disappointed by the steak. Here's what we tried: - Dinner rolls: Warm and buttery; pretty good. - G&G Salad: This was pretty standard. - 14oz wagyu steak ($59): This was really disappointing. The meat was really hard to cut and chew, and there were a lot of tough parts and veins. Not worth $59 at all. - Brussel sprouts: The portion was HUGE. Pretty crispy but also really oily. - Smashed potatoes: This was superb. The chipotle lime seasoning was amazing and had the perfect amount of kick, and the potatoes were super hot and toasty. The service was very good; they were very diligent about cleaning the table between courses and folding our napkins whenever we left the table. However they were a bit overeager to clear dishes we weren't done with. Spent $130 for two after tax and tip. If you're coming here for steak, which I think you are given that it's a steakhouse, I wouldn't recommend.

Seated quickly without a reservation (Tuesday night), the service was perfect - not too much or too little conversation and information. Three grass-fed filets prepared medium-rare with the house seasoning and sauce, and three sides to share. Outstanding meal at a fair price, all we needed tonight.

Wow. Had googled "best steakhouse Denver" and his is what came up. Yelp reviews are spot on. This was one of the best (and most $$$) meals I've eaten but it was well worth it. When we walked in it seemed very upscale and I was slightly hesitant about being in such a hip place but it's not like a "jacket required" fancy, more like a ultra hip, place to be seen, type place. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and it started off great. He was given a birthday card that the whole staff signed which he found very amusing. The waiter asked if we had any restrictions and brought us a little tuna starter that was very good (and I HATE fish). Then we had rolls which were amazing. We also had the charcuterie platter which was to die for. My boyfriend loves all sorts of fancy meats and cheeses... For our main dish I had the filet flight. Loved the prime and Angus but wasn't a fan of the grass fed but that's just me. Boyfriend had the prime rib and couldn't stop smiling the whole dinner. We also got Brussel sprouts and potatoes which were very well done. Staff seemed to come at the perfect time and service was overall impeccable. I would LOVE to come here again when I can save up $$ again!

The Steak here is MEHHHHHHHH..... Honestly this was not worth waiting over an hour and 20 minutes. I know a few other places with MUCH better Steak. The only thing this place has going for them is their Bone Marrow Appetizer which was pretty darn good. But the steak wasn't even cooked properly for a 21 day dry aged steak. How could your cooks get Medium Rare wrong?!?!? Blahhhhhhh, no thanks. I'll pass.

My company has had their Christmas party here the last two years in one of the private dining areas. The party planning process has always been painless and the night of the food and service are always impeccable. The steaks are perfection and the shareable sides are always a hit. I definitely recommend the toffee cake for dessert. I've also been here for lunch and they have a good menu and the service has always been on point. Plus the cookies at the end are a great touch. Overall it is a bit of a splurge price-wise but you will never leave disappointed.

I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday here this year, selected totally on a whim, and it turned out to be one of the finest dining experiences of my adult life. Probably not the best choice if you're planning to have an important conversation, since it's definitely on the loud side, but you'll be too busy stuffing your face with amazing food to talk, anyway. The wagyu marrow appetizer is a gift from a higher plane of reality.

Overall, this is a nice, upscale place. Has a decent atmosphere, good selection of booze, and even nice happy hour drink specials. But it fails on some of the details... Really nice cuts of meat, but with the prime rib, the au jus was ridiculously salty. Left me wondering if the chef was a smoker and has lost too many taste buds. The fries were bent and small pieces broken off - which is fine for a burger joint, but this is an upscale place, so they need to be prepared *perfectly*. Fries were obviously handled too roughly. Again, for a place like this, they are being judged to a very high standard. Finally, I've never agreed with places that open early, but don't have the full menu until 5pm. I can understand some items like the prime rib not being ready, but there's no reason to keep a steak off the early menu.

Excellent service. Excellent food. It's nice to find a place that serves small cuts of various steaks. We ordered the 4 ounce cuts of filet mignon and New York. Both were excellent. We shared a huge side of Brussels sprouts (enough for 4). The bourbon cocktails are top notch. Try them all.

Loved this place! Visited for the first time with my husband. HIGHLY recommend the bone marrow. The truffle gnocchi was so light and delicate, the mushrooms were amazing and the dry aged NY Strip was perfect. The service was incredible and makes the whole experience even better.

One of the best restaurant experiences ever! And not just in Denver. I ordered half shell oyster, fillet mignon, grilled carrot and two desserts. The seasoning was perfect for all the dishes. The best ribeye I've ever had, period. Get the bone - in ribeye and forget about everything else. It pairs well with the dry chianti by the glass. This was the Denver steakhouse experience I was looking for. Fantastic steakhouse! What a selection of steaks, but also so much more. Normally we rave about Troy Guard's restaurants and G&G was our favorite steakhouse in Denver until this last visit my husband got food poisoning. Such a bummer because we loved this place. 3 stars because we've normally had a good experience and the food always "tastes" incredible. Definitely get a reservation a week in advance when you go otherwise you'll end up sitting at the bar- entertaining but the service is usually very backed up.

I went to lunch as part of a business function. We had 60+ people in their room. In that context, the staff was on it, very fast and polite. Attentive with beverages and as accommodating for requests as possible. I had the small steak. (I forget the name.) It was fantastic! The best I have had in ages. Cooked and seasoned very well. You wrote a review for Guard and Grace 2 minutes ago 5.0 star rating 4/21/2019 Celebrated our 33rd anniversary there and the entire experience was as good as it gets. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. The food was spectacular, the service was tremendous as well as the environment. The fact that they took to the time to give us a handwritten card signed by the staff put it over the top. Was it necessary? Of course not but the fact that they took the time to do it just made it that much more personal. Had the surf and turf, 4oz filet mignon with Alaskan Black Cod as suggested by our waiter. Hands down, best steak I've had and the Cod was exceptional with a sweetness to it because of the brown sugar. Guard and Grace will be our anniversary dinner tradition for as long as we're in the Denver area.

Prior to visiting Denver I decided that this was one of the places that I would try. The reviews were very favorable and I definitely was in the mood for a great steak. My server Phil was very knowledgable and very friendly. I don't recall being asked by so many different people in a restaurant if I was enjoying my meal. Phil gave so many helpful suggestions I wanted to hug him after my meal like an old friend. He suggested the steak that the restaurant won an award for, the 22 oz bone-in rib eye. I didn't opt for any butter to top off the steak, I wanted to taste the natural flavor. I recommend trying the truffled gnocchi if possible it was a great complement to my steak.

The flight of filets is out of this world! If you want the opportunity to try grass fed vs PR me vs Angus, this is your opportunity! 4 ounces of each makes for a great dish to share. We had the flight plus half the blackened cod. It could not have been better. From the cocktails to the dessert, this was one of the best meals we have had! Johnathon was a superb server. We went off his recommendations from start to finish and he did not disappoint! If you are in the Denver area, make this one of your dinner destinations or a date night!

Stylish and modern decor frame one of the finest steaks I've ever enjoyed. The bone marrow appetizer could have been a satisfying meal on its own, and the ribeye sported a remarkable sear around perfect medium-rare. The clever and witty desserts left us smiling.

The level of customer service is phenomenal! My husband and I were in Denver for our anniversary, and we went here to celebrate. They pride they take in their restaurant is visible. The food was amazing; I highly recommend the truffled gnocchi. It's fantastic! Phil (our waiter) took great care of us and gave us the run-down of what was in each dish and each nuance. Amazing! We will definitely be back next time we're in Denver!

Our first steak experience was good, our server Nicole was great bcz she helped us understand the different types and gave good suggestions.. found the ambience good but was a little too noisy for me and my wife... Our table was very close to other tables and that would mean awkward eyecontact at times... would have preferred a little cozy or quieter seating.. will go again for the food and hopefully a better seat..

Service was great, food quality was fantastic, and I was able to modify my dinner to include a few items from other dishes. I loved it! The ambiance is classy, food is delicious, service great. I would highly recommend a visit. First time in Denver chose this restaurant as its close to the hotel and had excellent reviews. It did not disappoint. The fillet was amazing and the Caesar salad had crunchy parmesan flakes which were delicious.

We did my fiance's 40th birthday here and it was not a noteworthy experience. The restaurant had an incredible ambiance. The floor to ceiling windows, the wine cellar, and modern contemporary decor was exquisite. Compared to other steak houses in the area- the quality was sub par. Additionally, our sides delivered once everyone was finishing their meal. Our server was very knowledgeable and provided a great dining experience, but overall was not overly impresses - especially at that price point.

Solid 3 stars. Food was prompt. The bartenders did a great job of keeping my water glass full which is saying something because of the amount of water I drink. $11 burger on the happy hour menu. Was medium instead of medium rare and the toppings were light. Fries were really good. Overall a mixed, mostly mediocre experience. Glad to have tried something new but have no intentions of going back. Also, plastic takeaways? You're going to charge me how much for a burger and cant afford to do better?

The food is amazing. The service is impeccable. The ambience is stylish and relaxing. Our server Brian was attentive, knowledgeable, and pretty much the best ever. He answered all our questions which helped us pick the hanger steak with crab Oscar. To. Die. For! The side of loaded baked potato and Brussels sprouts was more than enough for 2 people to share. After dinner we had the sticky toffee cake (another suggestion of Brian's) and it was the perfect way to end a dream meal. TL:DR Eat here for amazing food!! Worth every penny. Ask for Brian. :)

I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary and it was hands down the best experience we have ever had at a dining establishment! We both have been talking about it for the last few days to co workers and friends. First off I’ll say that we are not upper class in terms of finances or etiquette so a lot of the process and menu items were new to us but the staff was so accommodating in terms of explaining things like why you taste the wine first or what some of the sides were, etc etc. Not at any point did I feel silly asking questions about anything on the menu or what they do there. We ended up having a 5+ course meal between the two of us and a few bottles of wine, most of which we asked for staff recommendations on what to get and every dish was INCREDIBLE! The attention to detail and service was so stand up to us. When we first got there, they brought out a happy anniversary card that a lot of the staff wrote cool little notes and congrats in, this of course my girlfriend melted for. When she got up to the bathroom, within seconds someone was over folding up her napkin and placing back on the table. We attempted to pour our own wine at one point, and I believe it was the manager was sprinting over to do it personally for us. Our table was being constantly cleared and wiped down the whole time. And the dessert was even customized for us with happy anniversary written on it in chocolate. Then the valet was awesome too, you just click a text link when ready and the car was up ready to go in moments!! At the end of the dining experience we racked up a good $400 tab between 3 wines, 2 main courses, desserts, sides, multiple appetizers. It was worth every single penny! Price is only an issue in the absence of value and the value built in our experience justified the price. Now this may not be someone we can afford to do often but we already decided we will be back for our birthdays and look forward to taking my parents here for special occasions. Thanks!

Big City steakhouses are something of a crapshoot, but Guard and Grace hits and exceeds the expected. Octopus is now everywhere but this version with a unique spice rub and perfect execution has me wanting it again. The lamb dish excelled. But the star was the bison hanger steak - probably the best meat I've ever had. Excellent cocktails and wine added to the experience. Just hope they keep getting that bison hanger!!

We had the best experience celebrating our engagement at Guard and Grace! I made a reservation on Open Table and put that we were there for a special occasion. Our waitress asked and we told her. Upon finding out she brought us two glasses of champagne. She was very kind and knowledgeable about the restaurant and menu. We ordered two glasses of wine, the octopus appetizer, two prime ribs, the chocolate cake and creme brulee. The kitchen sent us a delicious taste of sashimi. The chocolate cake even had a congratulations message written in chocolate syrup! Everything about our dinner at Guard and Grace was amazing! They butcher their meat in house and locally source their produce so it is extremely fresh. It was easily the best steakhouse we have been to. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant!

I don't do the fancy. So when I was invited to come along for a birthday dinner at this fancy little place, I was so excited! I read through the menu before I went... So I was ready. I had my eye on the steaks, but after our amazing server, Shad, gave us a run down of their specials, my order immediately changed. They had a Thai inspired local bass that I had to try. So I did. I fet like a dummy spending 45ish bucks on a fish. BUT after the first bite, I realized that there were so many components of this dish that would make it so difficult to replicate at home, I could only sit back and truly enjoy the flavors as they unfolded, brought into fruition by some extremely talented chefs. This place is amazing. The service is incredible. Can I afford it? Oh hell no. Can I greatly appreciate the skill and talent of the kitchen crew? Oh hell yes. Wish I could come back soon! BTW, their smoked carrots changed my perspective and outlook on carrots in general.

I recently dined at Guard and Grace with my husband. We spent around $200 on just food (we don't drink). While I do not mind spending that sort of money on a great meal and dining experience, I must say our experience at Guard and Grace was not worth it. My first impression was how loud the place was. Then we were sat at a table with a shared booth. The sort of seating that you would find at a fast food restaurant. Not a good look for a place charging 60-80 a meal. The food was okay. It tasted good, but every single dish we ordered was on the greasy side and left my stomach upset all night. The only redeeming quality about this place was the service staff. Very hospitable employees. However, I don't spend that kind of money to have a nice waiter. With that being said, I would recommend skipping this one. There are better options for less in the city.

Considering I was told when I get to Denver from NY I had to come.... Very disappointed. The food was mediocre at best. The charcuterie plate and the cheeses we way overpriced for both and the mere fact that the sausage was ok and the cheese had 4 pieces of each. Nothing special and the cost was way overpriced. Living in NY and being in the restaurant biz this was an upset. The Ribeye that was supposed to be aged had no aged flavor. I currently run 2 restaurants that do dry aging and no way was the meat aged long enough or properly. The truffle mac and cheese was beyond dry and had no flavor. Bland and lacking. Broccolini was good and so were the mushrooms. Overall the food was sub par to the price and no way compares to any hi-end steak restaurants we have been to. I SPEND 2-3 HUNDRED ON DINNER SEVERAL TIME A WEEK AND FEEL LET DOWN BASED ON THE HYPE. Sorry to be so blunt but the food needs serious help especially the steak and mac & cheese.

Absolutely incredible service. We had a beautiful evening out with impeccable service. Words cannot express how perfect our evening was. We had drinks at the bar prior to dining. Bar service was fantastic! Their happy hour is phenomenal and surprisingly affordable! Dinner was out of this world. We both had the 21 day dry aged ribeye with whipped potatoes, gnocchi, and rolls. Our appetizers were steak tartare and a prosciutto flight. It was way too much to eat in one sitting but everything was perfection!

Poor service. The waiter was sarcastic about the wine list, brought two samples and told us to guess which one is which wine. When we directly asked about the price of the Cabernet Sauvignon for a bottle he replied, “ I don’t look at prices you have the menu” He had a really bad attitude and didn’t want to be there. This type of place should spend a little bit more time on training their staff. At the end of the day it’s not just the quality of food but also the service you are paying for. Crab cake was over cooked, grass fed steak had too much seasoning on it rather than focusing on the natural taste profile of the meat it was over seasoned. The manager Don tried to make up the poor service with a free desert but it’s not worth a wasting a great evening and $200-$300 on at best average steakhouse.
