Really great Mexican food and my favorite in town!
Such a great place and delicious food. It is one of my favorite places by far. So friendly and made our birthday celebration special.
My favorite Mexican restaurant in all of Colorado. I have yet to find a restaurant that I would prefer over this one. Great food and great staff.
Good food, good people and good vibes. I have been going to this place for about a year of so and I love it. Highly recommended.
The posole rojo was delicious! Muy rico! Service was great with quick return on the order. Super friendly staff. Recommend this place
I love this place! Best Mexican Food in Colorado, hands down! It's always packed, which also tells you how good the food is, but you still get seated very fast. Great staff and really friendly service!
Really great local spot!
Definitely a jewel. Small place, cozy, great authentic Mexican food. Excellent service. Prices and volume reasonable. Parking available. Worth your time and money
The food is absolutely incredible. The only draw back is the wait time to be seated. Which makes sense because this place seems to be very popular.
This restaurant is one of the best. Friendly owners and help. Very fast service. Excellent food. The cleanest restaurant in town.
It was pretty good. Good staff. Very small but busy
I was going for Pozole waitress didn't say they didn't have any til she came back after taking our order. Service was still GOOD . got seated quick and flautas were
Seriously, who's writing these 5 star reviews? Today, me and my family decided to give Guadalajara a go due to all the positive reviews that were posted. Without sounding too harsh and keeping my feelings to a mininum. Without a doubt this place has AWFUL food. Right off the bat the chips and salsa they serve were stale. After we ordered, the food came out in 2 minutes, big red flag. The enchiladas tasted microwaved and the rice/beans werent any better. I tried my wife's burrito just in case and the meat tasted watered down and flavorless, again probably due to being microwaved. I sent my plate back and didnt request any additional food. We paid and we left. Never coming back to this place, the parking and sitting situation was incredibly bad as well, definitely not worth dealing with. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Only positive thing I can say.
The food is great , every time I go ! Can't wait to return!...
The food here is flippin great!
Be prepared to come very hungry because they have big portions. I got the wonderful nachos complete with all the toppings. Yum!
Some of the best carnitas I've had in a while.
We were visiting Denver from out of state and when I pulled up restaurants near us this came up. Probably one of the best Mexican restaurants we have ever eaten at! Very good food, great prices and huge portions
Guadalajara is the best Mexican restaurant in Denver! We always enjoy our visits. Food is great and staff is very friendly.
This is my favorite Mexican Restaurant in the area. They been there for a while and know what their doing, their not trying to change a working system. Friendly staff.
Amazing authentic Mexican food. There is only 14 tables and you will need to wait for your table in your car or outside but it is worth it!! Would highly recommend.
Great food and service. Definitely best around.
Best Mexican food I've tried in Denver yet. Portions were huge and the prices were pretty cheap considering the amazing food and too big you can't eat it, take it home and eat for 2 more days plates. It has to be the most unassuming Mexican restaurant I've ever been too, but go there, and I guarantee you, you be planning a second visit like us!
We had great authentic Mexican food. Prices were reasonable and service was good.
Outstanding food and service.
This is A little restaurant that if you don't look right you will miss it. But it is so worth the time and money. It has very good Mexican food. Lots of variety. Very big portions! I always have to take some of my food home. The salsa for the chips and for the different dishes is delicious. Its actually spicy and not just tomato salsa like other places. It's A little small inside, and its always packed. Sometimes depending on time of day you need to wait for A table, but it is worth it to wait. Staff is very nice and attentive. Never had my glass empty and they continue to walk around the tables to see if you need anything. They have this dish called "molcajete" its so delicious with strips of chicken and steak and some shrimp and other stuff in a bubbling Chile based broth with cheese melting and its so good that its making my mouth water just talking about it. I have gone there a few times and its always the same service and same portions and same prices. I will continue to go there to get the best Mexican food. I recommend this place, you won't regret it.
Amazing food! The best authentic Mexican food I've ever eaten. Must order the ceviche!
Great authentic Mexican food and service!
great taste and fast service
Best Mexican food I've had here in Colorado. Would return again. Great first experience and our waitress was amazing
This place is amazing. I love Mexican food. It's one of those foods I could eat every day of the week. While it's fairly easy to find fairly good Mexican food in Denver, it can be harder to find exceptional and authentic Mexican food. This is one of those exceptional and authentic places. The food is amazing, and you can tell the chefs take a lot of pride in their dishes. Quantities are large. Prices are mid-range. The cost for the value of the food is spot on. The only "tip" I want to pass along is that the place is relatively small. Plan accordingly that you might have to wait a bit. Just know that it's worth it!
Great for breakfast! Good food. Friendly staff. Restroom not accessible for wheelchair. Parking can be crowded. Difficult entry if in a wheelchair...Otherwise it is good!
Chef took a special off-menu order from me. Spicy shrimp smothered burrito. Tasted amazing! Little too rich for my blood at $12 for just that and a side of beans and pico, but a great experience nonetheless.
Bit of a wait but good food
Love this place. Have to come. Great food.
Great food! Great people! Lizbeth (Liz) is awesome with people!
Get the torta de milanesa you will not regret it
The food... AMAZING.... The service... EXCEPTIONAL. CLAUDIO is the BEST OF THE BEST.
One of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had in my history. The service was on point. The ladies and the gentlemen were phenomenal and their service. Try the molcajete!! Seriously amazing dish. This place is authentic to the bones. The area is not the best.

Always good service and great margaritas. Their Molcagete is a must have at least once.
Price is to high for location and food quality Food quality 8/10 SERVICE IS GREAT... For all hose who say they know their Mexican food and complain about a burrito or green chili need to stop eating Mexican food. First off burritos and green chili is not real Mexican food, it’s Texmex food. You should try their cocktail, ceviche, or carne asada.
Wonderful food - would highly recommend! Burrito Supreme was fantastic and the portions are large. The service is incredible - very attentive staff.
Staffed greeted us at the door. Food came out fast and delicious. Would return again if i come back to Denver.
Service is always friendly. Food is good. Staff works great together. I enjoy coming in to this place.
Wow... 10/10.. great food, great service, great prices. Defentely going back.
Amazing food and service.
Found this place using Google and Yelp!! And it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, service was prompt and friendly, the restaurant was clean and cozy. Our server Adrianna was outstanding. I hear it gets crowded later in the evening (around 7)..but we went at 5 and it was perfect! This is definitely a (not so hidden) gem!!!!
Authentic, quick, inexpensive and yummy!
Just recently visited this place and it brought me memories of when I ate at El Paso. Would recommend to anyone. Large servings, filled me up quickly and overall a good environment
Amazing place, amazing waitresses, low prices and amazing food! It's one of the few places where I actual got full with one plate of food. I also ordered a flan which was amazing. Overall this place gets my approval and I will definitely go back if I'm in the area.
Seems like they have a lot of good fish dishes but their other food is great too.
This place is awesome the food is great and the service is friendly You can tell by the line out front you are in for a treat.
Very good food & EXCELLENT service. Only bad thing is.... They're always busy so getting a table isn't always easy
Amazing choices and great customer service
Best food in North Denver maybe all the Denver put it this way as good as las delicias
Small, but the food is good.
Came here based on the reviews and I was not let down. Food was delicious, authentic and decently portioned. I got the #5 combination, a side of chicharones and a margarita. Definitely will be back
I understand now why this restuarant has good reviews! Food is great! Portions are large, more than your monies worth! Busy place , but seated fast. Only downfall is the seating at the inside tables is pretty tight. Gotta watch the elbows when you go to dig in !
So me and my boyfriend came here for a quick Cinco de Mayo lunch and to kill a menudo craving. Not only was this menudo WAY better tasting than another restaurant closer to us but WAY bigger serving portion of tripe and excellent quality. Ordered the horchata as well as the shrimp ceviche appetizer and got the combination molcajete. Food was amazing, server (Lisa) was so nice and accommodating as well as prompt (keep in mind Cinco de Mayo and the amount of people coming in and out was busy) and overall the price was reasonable for how good the food was. Dont sleep on this restaurant!
Great atmosphere, food, and drinks. Small casual restaurant. Our favorite dish is the carne adovada.
Great food and portions but their green chili sucks
Not much on looks, but the really great ones never are. However, they are excellent on taste, portion, and cost. This little slice of Mexico took me back to my childhood when my mother made the best authentic Mexican cuisine. The sevice fast and friendly, always ensuring you have what you need. Their teamwork is impeccable and they really take pride in what they do! So if you are looking for great, authentic Mexican food, I highly recomend trying Guadalajara's. Don't let the looks fool you! Enjoy!!!
It was okay, but not that good. Wont be back. The seating was small and tight, and the portions are served on plates that make it look bigger than it is. The salsa is good, but the food itself is very hit or miss. The burritos I got had a flavor that started good but was so bland it was tough to finish. I've been to probably a hundred mexican restaurants, and this one is forgettable.
Excellent service and food!
Bomb food! Beware... if you want booze, you'll have to go to the bar in the building to to the left and your food will be on a separate tab. Overall 10/10.
The food is great! The place is clean and the staff is very nice. The only problem is the size of the restaurant!
Great food. They give large portions. I saw so many delicious things going to other tables. I'm planning to return to get more things from their wonderful menu. The service was fantastic. Give this place a try.
Tamales are my addiction here. Staff always friendly. You will probably be on a waiting list and trust me it is worth it.
Smaller, very popular neighborhood spot. The wait for 4 on Sunday for an earlier dinner was 45m-1hr. It looks like people may have been waiting at the sports bar next door. Their margs were delicious. As was the queso fundido (not made with Velveeta; this was true white cheese fundido). The chile rellenos were on the smaller side and pretty doughy, but still good. The taco salad was great, with the shredded beef having a ton of flavor. The green chili sauce didn't pack as much flavor as the rest of the food, but it was ok. If you like milder green chili then you might like it. I think there wasn't as much flavor because it was vegetarian. I would go back. This definitely feels more like a neighborhood gem away from higher traffic areas.
Awesome Carne Asada!!
Best chorizo I have had in Colorado so far. Nice atmosphere, also best orchata.
Super good food!! The service was Awsome.. fast and affordable with dessert including for three ppl. I had not tasted something so close to the authentic mexico flavor in a long time. Downside is that we live so far to come back more often.
Overpriced and has a serious lack of quality. Everything on my plate was dry, the meat was incredibly tough and don’t get me started on the lack of attentiveness from our waiter. Requested Ranch to add some assistance for the awful dryness and was charged twice for it!
The carne asada was really good. Great service, even better food
Always good food usually a little bit of a line but well worth it

The food is pretty good, the only con was that there was yellow cheese all over my rellenos. My personal opininion Is that I really wish restaurants would stop doing this. In Mexico, I have never ordered a relleno or any other food, and had it smothered in orange cheese. Otherwise the food was great!
All the people that rated this restaurant with high marks let me down. I make authentic green chili and I know good Mexican food. This place had neither. I was so looking forward to a good smothered burrito when I arrived based on the reviews, but when I got my burrito supreme, it was tasteless. The green chili had no flavor or spice, the beef inside was finely chopped and made me think of a meat product from a cat food can. Everything looked great and fresh, but the Burrito Supreme had no flavor at all. The salsa and chips they served was great as well as the fresh guacamole on the side with sour cream, but the whole dish was a 1 on a scale of 5. The atmosphere wasn't the greatest, but if the food is great, who cares. I usually dont take the time to do these reviews, but since everyone steared me wrong, I wanted to make sure it didn't happen to someone else.
Favorite local spot. Their ceviche and mocajetes are phenomenal! Great service too.
Food was good, staff was friendly. Presentation was nicer than most Mexican food restaurants.
I love there comida alot
Good food, but be aware there the space is very small and there is a wait. While good, was standard selection versus other Mexican restaurants and not that much better for the length of wait and tight quarters
Their carne asada is so on point!!! Huge portions. When we were there it was busy yet the wait for our order wasn't long at all, probably because we were enjoying their chip and salsa so much. Very welcoming staff.
Complete AMAZING experience. Everything from the delicious queso with chorizo and ceviche. Through our steak fajitas and shredded beef burrito. To the churros and cheese cake. Wonderful first experience. Oh don't forget the premium margaritas! So flippin tasty!!! Can't wait to come back.
Solid Mexican food meal. The service was fantastic!
Completely shocked at the blandness of the food. Ordered a Supreme Burrito and got a tortilla filled with hamburger(if that's what they mean by steak in this case). On the outside there was a tablespoon of guacamole and sour cream on top. Rice, refried beans, and lettuce around the sides of the plate along with what I believe was some Chile Verde sauce. The hamburger tasted like hamburger cooked in a skillet with olive oil and that's it. Nothing else was inside the tortilla but hamburger. Having no seasoning or flavor with the meat made it disgusting. I had to force myself to eat the rest after four or five bites just because that was how I was raised. Based on this experience this is the worst authentic Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at. I will never be trying this place again.
Food was great, the staff were super attentive and quick. Definitely recommend the place.
Good food and good service and very clean reasonably priced 2
Awesome food, great service!
Really delicious caldo de res and camaron. GREAT SERVICE... WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!
It's too hot inside
Very authentic. The food is always delicious and the staff is friendly and accommodating. You may have to wait, but its worth it!
What a great restaurant for authentic Mexican food! I highly recommend this place if you're wanting Mexican while you're in Colorado!!
Absolutely phenomenal authentic Mexican food!!!! Great service too.
Love there food and service
Best Mexican restaurant in Denver!! The food is amazing and delicious. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The Molcajete is one of the most delicious dishes on the planet!! Don't forget the fried ice cream
Service was very attentive, food was good and reasonable prices.
Awesome huge amounts of food! Delicious food
Great Food and Service.
Great food and great wait staff. Shrimp wrapped with bacon was excellent
Exalent food and service
Great service in a family-run business. Small interior, rather loud, but great menu and good food. The salsa is definitely spicy and great, the sauce is on the meals could use a bit more flavor, but overall the place is a gem. Diverse menu, great execution and generous portions.
We decided to give this place a try after getting sick of our usual go to spots. Short wait of 20 minutes on a Friday night was very doable. Clean interior that appears to be recently remodeled. Really, really good food. Chips were flavorful and crispy and salsa was spicy and addicting. Entrees were hot and full of flavor with large portions. We will definitely be back!
Amazing food. Packed house on a Monday night is a great indicator for how good the food is
Food is awesome. The workers are attentive and courteous. A must go
Everything is good there but the Molcajetes are my favorite!
Very good food and great service
I typically only write reviews if the place is exceptional. I'd rate this restaurant 6 out of 5 stars if I could. The food was incredible and the portions are huge. I'm Puerto Rican and the yellow rice reminded me of how it's made by my grandma. I recommend the Tampiquena, perfect in every way
Plan on a wait when you arrive. The restaurant is small and very popular and it is worth the wait. Everything we have tried has been great but you must try the molacjete, a house specialty that is delivered bubbling hot in a mortar. The delicious bubbling base has shrimp, cactus pad, peppers, incredible house-made chorizo, queso and well seasoned chicken and beef strips with corn or flour tortillas. Service is great as is the value.
Great entree and great service
Chicken burrito...delicious!!

Really good authentic Mexican. Excellent service as well!
The food is perfect and definitely traditional mexican food its totally worth the wait
Tiny place with limited seating and a 30 minute wait to be seated, but so worth it! Service was great and the food was unbelievably good. I will definitely be back. I would give it 10 stars if possible!
Absolutely fantastic. Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. It is out of the way for me but I will be back.
Some of the best Mexican food I've ever found in Denver and for a super affordable price. I'm completely hooked on this place! The portion sizes are really huge for the price.
GREAT food & staff
Tiny space, but the food was amazing.
This place is ok. Not the best nor the worst. Good service walking through the door. Will return.
Love this place! Fast, friendly, great food and atmosphere
Lunch with my sister and mother was very good. Great service and the food, Mexican hamburger and cheese enchiladas. We will definitely be back.
One of the best Mexican restaurants with flavorful authentic dishes. I’ve been coming here for years & service has always been quick and friendly. Additionally, their plates are big portions which is great for the price.
The owners of this place know how to run a successful business. The restaurant is popular and can get busy but the service is top notch. Their waitstaff is excellent. They greet and take care of you as soon as you come in. Nice to see the owners pay attention to details so the service is just as good as food.
Very good service and the Mexican food was excellent.
We left immediately after entering the restaurant. The place was too small and they tried to fit a lot of people even tho there should only be less than what they were trying to fit. Would not recommend it if you are a big family.
This place is so good! I love their enchiladas and their carne asada plate. The margaritas are delicious (and large)! Also, free chips and salsa!!
So delicious! Tiny, zero atmosphere, not enough parking but delicious!!
The food is good. I got some enchiladas but the place is way too small. There often a line during peak hours
Best Mexican restaurant on this side of town. Try out the molecajete I highly recommend it.
A little pricey but good food
Fantastic food and service. Our meal was full of flavor.
Delicious, and such good, friendly service. We split shrimp ceviche for an appetizer and split molcajete for an entree and it was more than we could eat for lunch. This is probably the best Mexican we have ever had! The website is easy to navigate.
Very yummy food and felt welcome by the staff
Good food,large portions, friendly staff!
Delicious food, cold drinks, polite and personable staff
Always a great atmosphere with tasty margs and great fajitas. You'll probably have to wait since the place is small, but it's so worth it!
It is a small restaurant but the food was good. I had the whole fried red snapper. Quick service.
Decided to give this place a try because of all the great reviews. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint! Food was delicious, and customer service was great!!!
Great food! Awesome service!
Been several times, the food was fantastic as always, service is friendly. Half of customers speaking English, half speaking Spanish, great place for everyone. The molcajete was amazing and even fajitas are way above the average Mexican restaurant.
Took a long time and is snall but the food makes it worth it
The food is perfect and definitely traditional mexican food its totally worth the wait
Best Mexiican food in Dener service is excellent love it
GREAT food & staff
Large delicious plates at low prices. Very busy restaurant
Love this place! Fast, friendly, great food and atmosphere
One of the best Mexican restaurants with flavorful authentic dishes. I’ve been coming here for years & service has always been quick and friendly. Additionally, their plates are big portions which is great for the price.
Best Mexican food in all of Adams county. Friendly staff. Try the Molcajete

Been several times, the food was fantastic as always, service is friendly. Half of customers speaking English, half speaking Spanish, great place for everyone. The molcajete was amazing and even fajitas are way above the average Mexican restaurant.
Wow, what a little treasure in my old neighborhood. Great Mexican food, friendly staff, great service.
