This Restaurant belongs to the category of Bar & grill.
Surprisingly good for a small little hotel-based bar and grill. I've had the cheese steak and the pizza and can recommend both. Excellent.
Fantastic customer service hands down!
We had to wait 2 hours for them to even take our drink order then another 1 to get the drinks. When we finally did they forgot one. They messed up the the food order. I am understanding person because it took 4 hours to get the food because it was a snow day but it shouldn't take that long for drinks.
The food was great, and my friend said it was dam GOOD!
We stayed for our first time at The Academy Hotel this past Saturday 1/31/2015 for my daughters birthday! We ate at Falcon's Bar & Grill and our waitress was "Pickles", it appeared we dined during the dinner rush but she was sure to still be very attentive to our needs and go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. :)
Great pizza. Friendly staff.
Horrible experience, this place was hosting a medium sized event, not near enough staff to handle it. Waited 45 minutes just to receive the wrong order. Checked back 20 minutes later, they had no knowledge of it being reordered. This place sucks!
Our server was great, very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was really good too. Only part I would complain about is that the hotel has a video game area (Wii) for kids right next to the dining area, which was pretty annoying at times.
Food was ok but customer service was horrible and the bartender threw away are food before we where done. Horrible people at night.
Only 2 stars because service was decent. Went during "happy hour" was not happy. $4 for 4 pieces of each entree as an individual serving was way over priced when the advertisement shows larger portions. The quality of the food was like it was bought from the Walmart frozen section across the street. For the buffalo boneless wings, they give you 1 stick of celery cut in half.. and 2 baby carrots. The ultimate nachos could have been amazing but they felt like they had been left in the window with a lamp. We could have went to Sonic happy hour and we would have been more pleased and have spent less. EDIT: Got a large pepperoni pizza at night and it was AMAZING! The sauce is has the right kick and the cheese was so stringy. Devoured it.
Nice hotel bar and restaurant. Breakfast is top notch. Our bartender, Gary, did a fantastic job keeping up with a busy bar and an unexpected crowd of white haired hotel guests who turned out for the festival in town to commemorate fallen fire fighters. Prime rib was cooked to perfection. Skip the margarita. Happy hour wine is good enough. Full bar if wine isn't your kick.
If you're in to terrible service, go here. Wait staff clearly hasn't been trained appropriately on refills, checking in on the customer, promoting dishes etc. There's a reason the place is sparse with people, because they were either desperate (like us) or have an extremely passive personality.
Food is soo good. Long drive today followed by great service and amazing food. Def recommend
Amazing. Perfect service, and great food!
The service was non existent, I sat there for 30 minutes watching the game and not a single server stopped and asked if I needed anything.
Food was excellent. Besides the kids portion was like 3 full oranges sliced up and a nibble of spaghetti..Can’t complain about that at all. But the service was crazy. First we showed up 40 min before closing just to make sure we asked if we have time to order and eat they said absolutely no problem. At 9:58 as we were almost done with our meals the waiter came up and said hey we close in 2 min just to let you guys know. We asked well do we have time to eat since were close to being done?? We were told he has to bust down the tables and what not but could get us some boxes so we can take it to go....just thought this was pretty freaking rude. The food was excellent tho
Very unprofessional. Failed to mention they were out of chips for chips and salsa and out of burgers due to a “earlier rush”. Food was warm and edible.
Great burgers and pizza. Ordered them to go, and the customer service from the hostess was okay - a waitress stepped in and she was great.
3-6 happy hour, appetizers delicious, drinks awasome. Coming back.
We all thought the breakfast was great and the omlet bar sending it over the top. Fresh cook yourself waffles are always nice. The rest of the breakfast is the typical, complimentary items but you shouldn't leave here hungry. The actual grill wasn't that great. I had to go get a drink and ask for service several times. Three drinks took forever and finally 2 came out, about 5 minutes later the third one came. Same story with the food. The prices would have been ok if the quality had matched. The staff was friendly but very slow or absent from table service. I was really hopeful.
Delivered appetizer AFTER the main course. My children's grilled cheese was so undercooked the cheese wasn't even melted. The prime rib dip came with 3/4 of the meat on one half, and hardly any on the other side, cheese "quesadilla" was shredded cheese on a tortilla, no sauce, spices, nothing. Didn't attempt to fix their problems either. Waste of time and money, and they let guests bring their dog into the dining area. This place is a joke.
The chili is absolutely amazing. Best chili I have had. Pizza was good as well. Staff is very friendly and nice.
Falcon's Bar and Restaurant is inside the Academy Hotel in Colorado Springs. It's in the atrium and is a convenient option when staying in the hotel, although it is open to outside guests as well. The location is across the Interstate where South Gate becomes Academy Boulevard, so this place is frequented by service personnel and their families. They serve Salads, Steaks, Pizza, Burgers and other sandwiches, but they do not serve breakfast unless you are a hotel guest They are open from 6am-10-pm. It was our choice for this evening since we weren't sure about other options in the area. The ambiance is nice, in fact the atrium is set up for wedding receptions and is frequently used for such. The food was good and reasonably priced. I had the Jack Daniels Burger. Beware the drippy sauce. It stains. Portions are filling. Limited desserts are offered but we were full enough to not partake. If you are a hotel guest, a $10 Dinner Voucher is provided, one to a room. The menu is posted on the website. Parking is the same as for the hotel, and is free.
Terrible. Christmas Night so I can understand a slow experience. Which wasn’t a big deal. My fiancé and I were enjoying ourselves. First was waiting to be seated. Took 10 min. Drinks went great. Next came appetizer (queso) Wasn’t thrilled with. Asked the waiter ahead of time if the quest was spicy. “Not really”. Well that was a lie. Still didn’t complain. We ordered a pizza. About 45 min later we get pizza. Again the wait wasn’t that big of a deal. They were busy on top of it being Christmas. Pizza was subpar. Wasn’t anything to write home about. Waiter was subpar. He was nice. But. Drinks kept going empty. We ordered a Togo pizza for my soon to be mother in law. Pizza came wrong. We requested no pepporoni, and for pineapple. Pizza came out with pepporoni and no pineapple. We asked for them to fix it. And the waiter seriously says. Can I just get you some pineapple to put on it? Seriously no. Adding pineapple to it. Isn’t the same. Which granted I don’t think pineapple belongs on pizza. But you know. Not my issue. So he says if you want this you can keep it. Or else it’ll get thrown out. He says it’ll be free of charge. Another 20 mins goes by the pizza comes out. Looks as if the pineapple was placed afterward. Which we could tell the difference because on the pizza we ordered. It had half of it as pineapple. Which looked totally different. We get the ticket for $36. Ehh no feelings here for a large pizza, small pizza, queso, 1 soda, and water. I left cash tip and wrote it on there. Left cash tip of 25-30%. Feeling generous for it being Christmas. Little to find out we get to the hotel which is across the street. The pizza we got to go didn’t feel cooked and tasted funny it got thrown out. Few hours later I check my acct balance and I’m being charged for $44. On my card. With that being said. We call the restaurant. They tell us sometimes there is a transaction fee on the banks side. That in a few days it’ll revert to $38. Uhhhh. Never heard of that before. Little to say. I will never come back here. Service was terrible. Food was subpar. Wished I would’ve just went to Bar Louie or Ihop. This will be one of those stories we tell family about for sometime about how bad service was. I’m sure I’ll joke about it later with the family. But. Not happy with tonight. Learned my lesson on traveling when it’s Christmas.
Went for Mothers day Brunch on 5-14-2017. There were 7 of us including 2 seniors. The bill was $353 including the added gratuity. When I looked at my credit card statement on 5-15, they charged me $424. They are crooks and I am disputing the charge. Stay away and save your money.
Food was very good. They were very busy, but service was attentive and pleasant.
