We've got the opinions of people like you who purchase the products and services of Cafe Marmotte (Restaurant) in Colorado.
Nowadays the business gets a rating of 4.6 stars over 5 and that score has been based on 208 reviews.
As you can read, the average score it has is practically the best one, and it's based on a large number of feddbacks, so we may be pretty sure that the evaluation is quite credible. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they are pleased with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to give tatings when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of French restaurant.
Wow! What a fantastic experience! From the craft cocktails and amazing food, to the outstanding service, you know these people love what they do!
We love dining at a different restaurant as often as possible. Right now we're glad we chose this amazing place. The three of us each had a different entree. Afterward we each looked at one another and said, "I had the best meal." Yup, there are no bad choices here. Great food, great service and a very relaxing atmosphere.
Picked this place randomly while driving around the area for a place to go to an early brunch on Saturday morning. Ended up being one of the best brunches we have ever eaten. Everything was over the top perfect they even offered then …
Service and ambiance was first class! The food disappointed us. Nothing was particularly appealing to the taste buds and it was definitely not worth the price. The spaghetti entree was lack luster and the dessert had an overpowering amount of sugar. The warm bread served at the beginning of the meal was delicious.
Veal chop was excellent, only disappointment was they ran out of dessert.
Terrific experience. Food was superb and the setting was nice and intimate. A little gem in Denver. We have been to the Telluride Cafe Marmotte and this location had more traditional French food. We will be back next time we are in town.
Elegant decor, intimate bustle that brings a nice light to Wash Park with simple, yet skillfully prepared French cuisine. This moderately priced bistro is a great place for brothers and all to brunch.
Not sure about the rave reviews. Staff was very polite, service was great, but food was overcooked and extremely salty. I was not impressed at all
This is my new absolute favorite spot for brunch. The food was delicious (Salmon Benedict and Croque Madame), the drinks were tasty and reasonable ($4 Bloody Mary's and Mimosas). Service was fantastic and the whole experience felt high end without being stuffy. As a side note, we didn't see any parking (it all seemed to be reserved for the Starbucks next door), but there was plenty of parking on the street (Downing) even with it being 10:30 a.m. on a Sunday. We will definitely be back and are now eager to try them out for dinner too!
We really wanted to like this place. However, awkward service, under seasoning, poor bartending, and low value made it very difficult. We paid $150 plus tip for a meal that pales to food we regularly cook ourselves. And there are no Julia Childs in this household. Le Central, you are missed!
Good for a date night or special occasion, great atmosphere with even better food.
Always well executed french cuisine
Fantastic service, cozy atmosphere, amazing food , fabulous wine offering. They have an amazing take on french onion soup, a must try. My lobster ravioli was heavenly. Ok hold on the dessert my favorite part of the meal was this absolutely decadent tiramisu that has to be tried by every person on the planet. My gosh it was off the chart.
Their homemade croissants
The food was beautiful and the service was absolutely fantastic. My new favorite French spot in Denver.
Never disappoints
Exquisitely delicious, love the ambiance, amazing service, large portions. This place is a treasure. Ordered lobster bisque and duck two ways.
We were downtown for the "Her Paris" art exhibition and told by some friends to try Cafe Marmotte. They did not let us down. The service was good and the food was very enjoyable. Loved the duck two ways and the seared scallops. High praises to Cafe Marmotte.
A gem of a restaurant. Best meal I have had in a long time. Very savory and the prices were more than reasonable. Good wine list too.
Best French in Denver. Seriously. I am not a Francophile but my girlfriend is from Nice and she said this is as close to a French bistro in Denver she has had. The staff is amazing too.
This was one of the best meals I have ever had. The food was absolutely fantastic! Our service was wonderful, and we never wanted for anything. We will most certainly be going again!
Outstanding service and food.
Great place great food. Budget a couple hours.
By far one of the best meals I've had in Denver! The French bread was fresh and warm with rosemary butter; creamy French onion soup was to die for; the filet mignon was tender and juicy and the lemon tart was the perfect ending to my …
Everything was great. From start to finish!
Anniversary dinner with my love. Great food wonderful atmosphere attentive staff. Great wine recommendation to go with our dinner. Overall a truly wonderful experience!
We have been here a few times now and we love it! Romantic, the food is exceptional as is the service. True french food. You won't regret going.
Went here for a birthday celebration. All appetizers were excellent, especially the creamy French Onion Soup. All but one entree was good. The fish special, snapper, was dry and not very good. Otherwise, the scallops and chicken were good, as were desserts. Very good service.
Delicious. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Excellent wine list as well. Cozy place.
If the food had killed me, I would have died a happy woman. Amazing food. Fantastic service. Go here and TREAT yourself. (and try the foie gras with ice cream)
One of the best breakfast restaurants that we have been too. We went two mornings in a row while on vacation (despite having a list of other restaurants to visit, we just couldn't resist.) The food and service were superb. Not sure if she was a manager or an owner, but whoever was running the floor both mornings was so friendly and helpful. The staff seemed to be working together very well. Make sure to try the beet hollandaise.
The food is reasonably priced for an upscale restaurant and the wine selections are a great value. Their desserts are all homemade and absolutely fantastic.
Absolutely wonderful brunch! The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We have found our new favorite place for Sunday brunch.
The food was exceptional and our server was great. Such a wonderful little place. Loved it!
We had an excellent brunch. The food is fantastic and the price is reasonable. Very good service. We all want to come back for more!
My goodness I felt like I was back in Paris somewhere. This cute little eatery has all of the traditional french dishes and a few new twists that will literally have you making another reservation before you leave. Try the Kir Royale!
The staff is amazing. They made sure we had everything we needed and was on top of it even though it was a really busy night. Food is delicious and the pricing is perfect. The atmosphere is calming and unique. Makes me feel like I’m back in France.
Very French. Bon Appetite
Intimate atmosphere. Very attentive staff. I would given 4 stars if the lobster ravioli had not arrived at the table, half raw. Edges were tough to the point of inedible. Otherwise good restaurant.
Such a beautiful, sweet little place!! The waitress we had was very kind from the moment we walked in the door. She was informative about the menu items and gave us excellent service. The food was AMAZING!! The atmosphere and ambience were inviting and romantic. The experience was one that we'll cherish as a great memory in Denver. This adorable place will always be on our list when we visit Denver!! Thank you ❤
Sweet spot. I got the soft crab benedict special...delicious
Always a great experience here with the best food and drink with atmosphere
Great food and service. Reservations are a must.
Service was great, so was coffee. Rest of the meal was disappointing . Croissants were not fluffy (had preciously been amazing!) and for all that is holy - cheddar cheese in my crepe? Find it a touch insulting the chef feels the need to “Americanize” simple good French food. Denver has a cosmopolitan population now. Not only can we handle - we want - the experience of food from other countries prepared in the traditional way. Might not be back. Maybe one more try.
We chose Cafe Marmotte for our Valentine's dinner and it could not have been better. If you're a fan of French food, look no further for taste and excellence all round. A fabulous dinner, friendly, attentive staff and a great selection of wines. Highly recommended.
Nice french restaurant in Wash Park. They have good alcohol specials throughout the week, Sunday being half off all wine bottles. The food was really good with all the usual options. The restaurant is located on a busy crossroads but inside you would never know and it's super cozy and cute.
Good food but too many American dishes for a restaurant touting French food
Very happy for the crew to have their own place again. Ty, Austin, Kayla, and Heather are the best. Cocktails were so wonderful, the mussels were fantastic, and the St-Michael-Eppan "Schulthauser" Pinot Bianco went very well with the sole and the lobster spaghetti...we will be coming back again and again.
Fine service. Fine dining. No fuss.
Really good. Desserts were amazing. I would come back here and order dessert first!!!
Love this place! Neighborhood feel but excellent tastes and service. Great date and brunch place.
Friendly welcoming service, cozy atmosphere and delicious food. Lamb chops are very good. Wine special / flights are a great deal. Will return.
The food was perfect. We ordered the Filet Mignon Oscar and the Snapper. Best food my wife and I have had in a very long time. Everything was cooked to perfection. Service was fantastic. Natalie was amazing. She went out of her way to make a drink for my wife they never had on the drink menu. She was always smiling and very polite. We will be back often.
Just loved our evening at this restaurant. It is small but I loved the feel (white table clothes and cloth napkins as well). We came to celebrate a special occasion so we already felt we had chosen well. Loved the food, we tried the beet …
Amazing food, great atmosphere, a bit pricey but worth it!
This is a nice little place with good food. I really enjoyed the lobster bisque! I had fish for my main course and it was good, but for the price, I just thought it was decent. I’m glad I tried it but I’m not sure I would go back, it was good but if I’m paying that much I would try something else. I do recommend trying it though and make sure to get the lobster bisque.
Café Marmotte will provide you with a wonderful meal and a delightful evening. The menu offers a nice variety of dishes. Each of us ordered something different, and all of us were very happy with our meals. The wait staff are attentive, but not intrusive. This is a great place for a quiet dinner whether it is a business dinner or a romantic meal for two.
Kim was an awesome waitress and the food and wine was great
And I could talk to my wife with out shouting. And now the wife’s comments: it was the second time eating here for me. The first for lunch with friends. I had the duck. It was perfectly prepared-nice crust, juicy meat-rare to experience duck so beautifully cooked. The second time was dinner with my husband. I had the scallops, he had the special. Both were superbly prepared. I love this place! It’s expensive but so worth it.
We had an absolutely wonderful meal last night at the small and charming Cafe Marmotte. To begin, we shared the beet salad which was fresh and delicious. My date had the halibut which he very much enjoyed. I ordered the duck which …
Cafe Marmotte is excellent! We have only been here once, but I cannot wait to go back. I have never seen anyone make French food into such a relaxing event. Fantastic food and top-notch service. It is a bit small, but I expect that from a classic French restaurant. We enjoyed the food and wine, and plan on coming back soon.
Nice replacement for the very much missed Le Central.
We took our dad to Cafe Marmotte for his 75th birthday brunch. The ambiance was lovely for a Sunday afternoon. The food was pretty good, and the coffee was especially fantastic. The reason I knocked off a star was for the amount of time we …
The food and service were exquisite!
Best French in Denver. The scallops were perfectly prepared and the duck was very good.
Had brunch at the Cafe, excellent food and service. They even prepared a special dish for our birthday girl. We will definitely be going back.
This truly is a hidden gem in the Denver food scene and worthy of its five star reviews. The atmosphere is charming, the food is just devine and the service was impeccable.
Delightful evening in a cozy setting. Not impressive from the outside, because it's tucked away in an older neighborhood. However, the interior did remind us of the "petits restos" in France. Seating is limited, and the place is popular...so reserve in advance. Natalie greeted us warmly and took excellent and patient care of us all evening...we were there a long time!! The wine list is of manageable size and has a good sampling of France's major regions, with mostly reasonable pricing. But the best part is the food, all of which is very well prepared. The Grilled Octopus appetizer is incredibly tender and flavorful. The absolutely delicious Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese Tart is nice rich quiche by another name, with perfect texture and tons of flavor. Finally, the (non-traditional) Escargots with the fresh mushrooms were great, but just a touch salty. The main courses did not disappoint anyone either. The Veal Chop was tender, nicely seasoned and cooked to desired doneness, as was the Filet Mignon Oscar. Others in our party had the Portobello Ravioli, salmon and seared scallops, and were uniformly delighted. It seems you can't go wrong with any dish. Our shared desserts were also very good. This is authentic French-style cuisine!!!
Liked a lot of things about Cafe Marmotte - no wait for brunch, (& they take reservations), the space is really lovely, small and very nicely decorated, and the service is great. Excellent mimosas for only $4. I recommend the croque madame, absolutely delicious. The three other people in my group were unimpressed with their food. The special was a duck benedict but the English muffin was burned and rock hard. The chicken fried steak, while a huge portion, was nothing special. I will go back for the drinks, atmosphere and the croque madame!
Always very slow service but amazing food!
Cozy, quaint, local place with amazing food and friendly staff. I drove by almost everyday without realizing what a jewel of a place this is. So much mouth watering temptations on the menu, we will return! Thanks for the octopus appetizer suggestion... wow!
Absolutely top shelf dining experience. Intimate dining room well accessorized. Quiet, efficient, perfect food.
Went for Sunday brunch. Has the smoked salmon Benedict, crab omelette & Lemon-raspberry pancakes. Everything was delicious. Service was exceptional. Will definitely return.
Four of us celebrated a family Birthday here last night and it was absolutely the greatest dining experience I've had in a long time! Food was magnificent, delicious desserts, friendly and efficient service.......can't wait to go back!! What a special treat this was for all of us!
This tiny neighborhood gem is well worth the reservation! From a delectable appetizer of octopus that was fork tender to the two entrees we ordered, duck and sole, the use of French cooking technique was culinarily supreme. We have paid far more for less mastery in French restaurants, and with much poorer service. The waitstaff were extremely attentive to both comfort and detail, and gave us all of the respect customers deserve. We will definitely go back!
Great place for brunch to celebrate Mother's Day! Fresh from the oven croissants were fantastic!
Great bistro fare, authentic french cuisine, perfect spot for a cozy dinner date or celebration. Service is top notch and flavors just as expected, including libations
Traditional French is alive and well and delicious! Nice variety of offerings, well prepared with classic techniques and delivered with a bright disposition makes for a great evening.
Had a wonderful French Onion Soup, Coq Au Vin and Lemon Tart. All of the dishes were delicious and would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Staff was fantastic.
This is one of the best brunches I’ve had in Denver. Ordered the Chicken Fried Steak Skillet. It was delicious and a ton of food. Also ordered the waffle which was great. The service was fantastic. We didn’t have to wait for a table (I made a reservation) and the bloodys and mimosas are $4 during brunch hours.
felt very fancy, unique, and classy. The soup was to die for. enjoyed the touch of a pallet cleanser in between courses. even the butter for the bread was seasoned!
On of my favorite French places in the city. Great drinks and great live music.
Cafe Marmotte offers delicious, skillfully prepared, reasonably priced food in a comfortable setting. We live in the neighborhood and consider ourselves lucky to have such sophisticated yet homey fare nearby. Denver has some top restaurants for sure, but Cafe Marmotte is unpretentious and divine in its simplicity (not to mention budget friendly, how do they do that?). We've tried most of the entrees. My favorites are the scallops, the sole dishes are both lovely, and filets are super tasty (perfectly cooked, always). My husband loves the lamb and duck. The wine list has lesser priced wines that are delicious. The cocktails are superb (generous too!). I love my martinis and these guys make mine perfect. Great tasting elevated cuisine, quality yet inexpensive bottles of wine, perfect cocktails, all for a very decent price. What more could a person ask for? Ideal for Valentines Day by the way.
Amazing
Café Marmotte is an authentic French restaurant experience. The food is marvelous. When my wife and I dine there (which is often) we frequently order the Dover Sole but there are always other equally delicious entrees on the dinner menu. The dining room is just the right size and tastefully furnished. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to please. Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays is a treat. Complimentary valet parking at dinner, seven days a week. Café Marmotte is not to be missed.
Excellent French Bistro, great food, friendly service, valet parking.
Great atmosphere, delicious food, excellent service, enjoyable experience! Thanks so much.
Small intimate space with delicious food. Wait staff friendly and helpful. We plan on eating here again.
Great experience. Very enjoyable atmosphere and the food was excellent. Not a stuffy place like other French restaurants. Great wine list too. We heard we have to try the brunch next.
Perfect place to have French food. Expensive though. Parking is convenient.
Best egg benedict in town.
Dining at Cafe' Marmotte was an absolute joy. I took my fiancee' to this delightful place for her birthday and all of my expectations were exceeded. The service was exceptional, the dishes were prepared in a wonderful fashion, with outstanding presentation. Choosing a favorite course would be difficult, as each one left a lasting impression. Their selection of French wines is perfect for the menu, and their staff made the perfect selection for our meal choices. If you want to take someone special, either a friend or a loved one out for an evening that is sure to impress, Cafe' Marmotte should be at the top of your list.
just so so....it is often said that you need to go to the same restaurant several times in order to get a better idea of consistency but you know I think I will bypass this strategy and find newer, better options. sorry marmotte
I really wanted to love this place. It's lovely inside and the service is outstanding. However our meal was mediocre. I ordered the scallops and they were over done, chewy, and a bit expensive. I'm willing to try again because of the service and atmosphere.
Great service, delicious meal. I had a fillet and the creamy French onion soup which was amazing, and my wife had the lobster bisque and coq au vin. I have never been to France but my wife has and she said it was a cozy bistro comparable to being in France even though it’s in Denver. Great job and we will return
Underseasoned appetizer and entree. Nothing remarkable.
Delicious food well prepared and presented. I will eat there often, trying various entrees. Jordan our server was knowledgeable and. friendly.
Great brunch - croissants are to die for.
