We love Bird Dog! Service is fast and the food is always great. I've tried the turkey, pulled pork, and hot links and they are all excellent. I really like that they have a different lunch special for each day of the week. They make their own barbecue sauces which are awesome. My personal favorite is the wasabi one. It has just the right amount of kick to it. They have a military discount and a punch card for frequent visitors too which is awesome.

Bird Dog BBQ, off Stetson Hills, is my go to place for food on the go. I have a ton of food sensitivities which makes eating out difficult, but Bird Dog makes is easy. They are locally owned, too! Their food is always amazing. The service is always good, too. They give Military discounts and love to our dog. :) If you are in Colorado Springs, go to Bird Dog and get some BBQ and maybe a brownie, while you are there.

Friendly staff. Food is amazing. Sometimes a long line. Only issue is it is not easy on the pocketbook. This has to be some good bbq. I've tried others and they're all top notch. Friendly wise they can't be beat. Price wise..I think would have to make this a every blue moon type of meal. Guys are super professional and foods fresh so kudos.

Food is fine. Management should update policies. Arrived today at 1:45pm to pick up a lunch special. A couple orders came in through GrubHub so the line didn't move and I had to wait for twenty minutes. By the time I made it up to order it was 2:05 and they told me the lunch special was over. Highly unprofessional and shows poor judgement. If you're going to enforce draconian policies like this, it should at the very minimum be "through-the-door by 2:00pm still qualifies".

Love to eat here normally, but ordered through grubhub and the order was wrong. Birddog basically told us to fly a kite and it isn't their problem and once it leaves the store they aren't responsible for the order. No cheese, no sauces with the meal not even the side orders of extra sauce. We could have dealt with getting the wrong order and would have gone to pick them up, but the attitude of the person who took our call was very dismissive.

I wanted to call in advance to place my order so that I could pick it up after work. They stated they do not offer this service. So I waited in line to place my order. They no longer offer pickles, you have to ask for them. In addition only two of their employees where wearing caps the others weren't, so hair contamination is an issue. Employees were looking for tips despite the less than average service. Bird dog has really gone down hill since last I visited this location. Not work the expense.

Obviously a lot of people like this place, however I am rating it as a born and bred Texan who just moved here from Tennessee. I also have never had "Oklahoma Style" BBQ before but won't again either. The brisket cannot be sliced. The excuse I got was that is was just so tender that it falls apart. My first clue should have been the brown baked looking exterior and NOT the black bark that every brisket I have ever had in Texas had. Brisket should be available both ways and can still be tender in a slice. Next comes the ribs. They were lacking in seasoning and again did not appear smoked. The sausage was shrunken and about the size of a hot dog weenie. Not a good flavor either. The best thing was the Peach Cobbler. The brownie was also not worth the calories. They have been voted best BBQ in Colorado Springs, but I am not sure why.

This was my first time eating at Bird Dog BBQ. The hot line was incredibly messy and needed to be wiped down. The brisket slabs were out and uncovered. The food service worker poured and overwhelming amount of a butter substitute on my husbands potato. Why not use butter or not allow the patrons to see the container being filled from some larger container that was on the floor? Just a thought. Once we received our food we headed into the dining area which was infested with flies. The garbage cans are covered in food, over filled, the soda machine drip tray was filled with debris, the floors are disgusting and the condiments and tables were covered with sticky sauce. This restaurant should get a visit from the health inspector and have some serious training for the staff including gloves and hairnets before they get someones sick.

I live in Lakewood, CO but was in the area and stopped in here for a quick lunch and was not disappointed at all!!!! Food is outstanding!!! The meats we're done to perfection! Great BBQ sauses to complement. The staff is some of the friendliest I have ever talked with. Make you feel like a good family friend who stopped over for some homemade BBQ. I will be coming back, even if it means I have to make a special trip. You can tell this spot is a favorite of many people!!

Really great BBQ! I was stationed near Kansas City and am very familiar with great BBQ. This place really does BBQ well! I love their pulled pork and brisket the most. All of their sides are really good, but my favorite is definitely the fried okra! Decent prices as well. Parking is good and not at all difficult. It's in a safe neighborhood too. Staff is always friendly! Thanks so much for a good experience every time!

The brisket is bland and always overcooked. Little flavor or spices. The pork is only saved by the BBQ sauce. The turkey is probably the best thing here and it's expensive. This is a "meh", it's the best BBQ within 15 miles type of place.

A surprisingly well hid secret in Colorado Springs! This is hands down the best BBQ comfort food I have found in the area! I found this restaurant by following the heavenly aroma my nose picked up emanating from the restaurant. Even with the 20 minute wait in line, I was not disappointed at all by the food I received. Far from it! The smoked meats were perfectly done and melted in my mouth. The sides were reminiscent of childhood family gatherings. It was an absolute pleasure to eat! If I could give more stars for this one, I would! I will be back very soon

Hands down! Best bbq in the Springs. I personally don't like overly seasoned dry rubbed to death bbq meats with sauce all over. I like to taste the meat instead of nothing but sauce and seasoning. Bird Dog hits that note perfectly with their moist meats and their tangy sauces... Been to most bbq places in the Springs and found many to have overly seasoned meat that's a tad bit on the dry side. Their service is top notch, even when they have a full house. I especially love the apple and peach cobbler as my "end of cheat night" treat. We've eaten almost everything on their menu and have "loved" everything. We have family in Denver who request Bird Dog whenever we come down to visit... That's good bbq!

My family went in on Friday night to eat. This was the first time we had ate there since they moved from the Briargate location and we were a little disappointed in the new location. just not as cozy as the one in Briargate and the food was just not the same. Still decent BBQ for Colorado but just not the same. It was not as clean. The servers were very nice but the location is just not the same. May be a very long time before we go back to eat there.

Food was pretty blah. Was unimpressed by the staff, no hairnets during prep... Husband didn't care for it either. We're from Texas so we know good BBQ. Won't eat here again. Update: to specify, the staff was courteous, however it was a bunch of teenagers or appeared to be very young, checking their phones, etc. The establishment itself felt dirty. Brisket was dry, they were out of Turkey, and bread options are buns or toast. I'm sorry if the owner is offended, I've just had much better BBQ than what we ate that day.

We went in for a large order, since they don't take phone orders. We stood in line like usual, and it was amazing! A well oiled machine. They didn't even flinch at the size of the order and pulled it all together while I paid. They even helped me carry it to the car! Of what we ordered that actually made it to our plates was not terrible. When we asked where one of our main dishes had gone we were asked by the manager, "what do you want to do about it". Forgive me, I didn't realize expecting what we paid for incited a scene from a Clint Eastwood movie. It's basically meat covered in sauce. I guess its OK because there's nothing else in Colorado Springs. You're better off grilling at home.

Bird dog is the best. I love that they offer discounts & loyalty. There is a guy there named Matt. He is so personable without being overbearing & he's so selfless I never knew he was a manger until one of the girls told me. He works the line & makes u want to return. They all are nice, but Matt is why I became a regular. Those ribs are decently priced & my go to when hosting or attending events on Saturdays I have to work & am unable to prepare a dish. They treat the military & elderly to discounts but even if you're neither, you can still get a discount for paying with cash. Bird Dog Fountain knows how to do business & you better get there fast before the line starts so that means the food is constantly moving staying fresh!

This place was great. Chicken, turkey, pulled pork, brisket, different kinds of sausages, and lots of different side dishes. All the food is really good if you like the smokehouse meal.
