Most people exaggerate when it comes to their wait time. However; my party of three arrived at 6:30. We left at 8:30. Still hungry, and never served our food. Dissappointed to say the least.

Great food and service in a storied building. Great spot after a day in the Flat Tops. As far as Kim Helton's scathing slanderous review, I have serious doubts that Shemekia and her band were refused service service due to their color. Did you contact the owner? Something doesn't match up since Kim obviously heard this second hand and wasn't even there to witness this racist act. Given the way kim addresses not only the restaurant employees but Yampa residents as well makes me doubt she'll be missed. As for Shemekia Copeland, please try them again, I'm sure you'd be welcome.

I visit Yampa every summer and I eat here because I absolutely love their steak and garlic mashed potatoes. The desserts are delicious too. My friends love the fish, and we all love the salads. Great food in a wonderful setting.

BEWARE TRAVELERS!!! Grammy Award Nominated Shemekia Copleand and her band were kicked out of this place on 9/20/14 due to their COLOR. After performing in Aspen ... traveling to Steamboat Springs then to Denver, her and her band stopped for a bite to eat. Service was rejected cause she is BLACK!. What an ignorant.. bunch of inbred people at this establishment. I have lived in Denver for many years but born and raised in the South and we aren't even this stupid. Not only did Denver accept her... we will make sure all is known about this backass town and folks and make sure you guys NEVER get our big city money! To top that off, her Family is famous in the industry and it will be spread through the artists that come into the area... NEVER to stop in Yampa! Guess you rejected the WRONG Black person you idiots!!

Fun dining experience with humorous taxidermy decor. Great choices for main course, but the special pasta was sold out by our 6:30pm reservation. Good place for groups with excellent service.

Absolutely a place to stop in the area. Great food and service. We rolled into town late and the kitchen was closed, but they said they would look after us anyway. Feed us a fabulous dinner and some great tap choices.

I've never had bad food here before, always delicious, everything on the menu is just a little different than what I had before which makes it the best! My favorite is the Mussel Appetizer and the Chicken Fried Steak. Portions are pretty big and the atmosphere and staff here are wonderful, I've brought all my friends here whenever they come into town and they've all loved the experience this place offers! Also is known for it's great beer selections. Whether you want to belly-up to the bar for the night or sit in a booth or at a table, this is a great place to be on a Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sunday. Also has a patio with horseshoes and corn hole games, love it!

I recommend the Anglers Bar and cafe. Very good food and great selection of beaverages. We live in this area and will definately go back. Very nice to have a good dining place in this area.

I did not expect to find such an amazing restaurant. My mussels marinara wee perfectly cooked, mashed potatoes were REAL, whole fresh corn on the cob...if you are staying or traveling through, it's worth a stop.

We visited for brunch and the food was very good. The shrimp and grits was not too spicy and very rich. My friend had the waffles and the presentation was beautiful with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. The bacon was crisp without being overcooked. The restaurant was super busy this morning and you could tell that the staff was working hard to keep up.

Different Specials, And A bonis's are The OssoBucca : Asian & Thai food nights + Grilled Prime Rib♥ +Burgers the Size as my face lol.. I Do think the place needs to be open more for the community's locals who recently lost the Oldest Saloon' And Much loved Royal! Much like the antlers Cafe' these historic landmarks are a cherish among our local patrons and Pioneer folk' not to mention; A faboulas spot for tourists, hunters, fishers & Explorer's who are just seeking to find a place with the old Rustic much more Western feel; & fresh mountain seneiry.. Local's from both the North Steamboat area, & the South Oak Creek+Stagecoach+taponis area's auctuallyDrive all the way out just to grab that feeling. If your in to the State Bridge area its not far off highway131 North of taponis. Tom Wester & The famous Antlers food + Great drinks is a prime and Excelent spot to stop. Call first for the Restaurant hours but great Service as well + Bloody Maria & Mary's delish! Margeritas' Martini's outstanding! How you would want to miss out a Excelent Belgium Beer, "Not new Belgium!" Im saying Authentic Belgium + Germin etc.." All and all, Pretty neat! ♥ So A tragic and very devistating fire took down the much loved Royal Bar & Salon. @ once this occupied President Roosevelte, And the the famous Writer & Producer Stephen King One of My faveorite authors next to the much loved bible lol... The atmosphere was great.... Historical decor...The food was excellent...The owner is a chef from New Orleans...We had the Speckled Trout and it was perfect and the presentation great... Friendly staff and town. A must to come and eat in a small historical town.

This place has a friendly vibe, excellent service and food. I had the lamb pot pie, three at my table had the trout, and one had the chicken fried steak. His French fries looked like a separate meal and like home cut. I withheld the fifth star because they allow dogs inside to be off leash. Although none of the dogs ever came close enough to bother our table.

New owners & chef, fresh menu and great food! Our bicycle group had dinner there on 4 June - about 18 of us in all. It was the new owner's 2nd weekend and the place was pretty full by 6pm. Kerry and her husband/chef were well organized considering the crowd. The food came out hot and far exceeded my expectations. Many of us had the trout, served with green beans and the best couscous I've ever eaten (not being a couscous fan, that's saying a lot). The trout was perfect. The chicken fried steak was also awesome. I got to help finish one and it was too big for my mother in law to finish. Others exercised the menu rigorously and everything got good reviews. The salads were large as were the burgers. The Antlers is worthy of a visit for a drink at the bar even if you don't eat. The vintage building, highly unusual animal mounts and beautiful setting haven't changed much over the years. Bring your camera and make sure you check out the rearwolf mount in the men's restroom.
